I thoroughly enjoyed this enjoyable and engaging cozy mystery which is the first book in a new series about YA librarian and amateur sleuth Sunshine Baker, and is set in the fictional small town of Bryce Beach. Sunshine who is a curvy redheaded librarian who despite her surname can’t bake works at the Bryce Beach Public Library and she jumps into action when there is a mystery to solve. When the proceeds from the library’s annual fundraising gala and Bryce Beach’s Bible, a priceless historical artefact which contains the town’s founding fathers’ signatures goes missing, Nancy Drew fan Sunshine despite no sleuthing experience is keen to discover the culprit. However she soon starts to wonder if it’s one of her own colleagues who is out to destroy the library. I love Sunshine and her catchphrase of “Jesus, take the wheel!”, she makes a great main character who really does bring the whole story together. Her colleagues, children’s librarian Molly Simmons and cataloguer Evangeline Dupree both bring different elements to the story and I loved the relationships and dialogue between the fellow librarians.
The descriptive narrative really bought both the characters and the setting to life and I felt immersed in the story as though I was on the adventure alongside Sunshine. The plot twists kept me guessing until the end and I was gripped by the storyline and found I could not put this book down. ‘Betrayal at the Beach’ is the first book in the new ‘Dangerous Curves’ cozy Christian mystery series, and this is a great introduction to Sunshine and Bryce Beach. I look forward to reading the future books in this series and being back in the Bryce Beach Public Library with Sunshine and her colleagues.

Betrayal at the Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery by K.L. Montgomery is the first in the Dangerous Curves Book series. I was excited to pick up another book by this author because I have enjoyed her other books. This was no exception. We are taken to Bryce Beach and get to follow Sunshine as she uncovers what happened to the missing Library Gala fundraising money. Sunshine is a perfect name for this character because she just exudes happiness. I love her background of sleuthing knowledge and her devotion not only to the library but to her town. This is a great start to a fun, easy reading series. This was the perfect curl up with a cup of tea and read type of book. I look forward to more adventures in this new series.

Betrayal at the Beach (Dangerous Curves Book 1) by K.L. Montgomery. I love K.L. Montgomery and her body positive books so it was no surprise when I fell in love with this book. I read it entirely in one sitting. Its the story of Sunshine Baker who is the Young Adult Head Librarian and is a plus size girl. She and her friends at the library are in a pickle because Sunshine is planning the Friends of the Library gala and its a huge success until someone steals all the proceeds she raised from it. That is how the library is able to stay open so Sunshine is determined to figure out who took the money and get it back. Sunshine thinks since she’s read a few Nancy Drew books in her time she can figure it out in no time. Sunshine along with her friend Molly begin to find clues and the culprit will leave them shocked! This cozy mystery is so fun and such a good clean Christian read. Do yourself a favor and read it today!

I was super excited to read this book because I had heard so many good things about it from my reader friends. I have read a couple of books by this author previously so I was pretty sure I knew I would like it. Turns out, I didn’t just like it. I LOVED IT! The author did a wonderful job writing for “plus-sized” women that don’t normally get this joy. I think it adds to a positive image for the readers and makes them feel confident and comfortable in their skin. Which is the way that life should be for women. This book also contains some religious undertones which I have never known her to do before but think that they are perfect, and I hope that she continues to use them. The world needs more of that in my opinion. I fell in love with the main character and really want to be her in another life. The writer did such an amazing job describing her and everything little detail around her and her world. This is a mystery as well, but without all the typical gore and brutality. I loved the ending and absolutely cannot wait to read the next installment when she puts it out. This is a very quick read and once you start you won’t want to put it down. I highly recommend you read this book for yourself. And then recommend it to all your girlfriends to read as well.

Sunshine Baker is the young adult librarian at Bryce Beach Public Library. This year she is planning the Friends of the Library Gala. The gala is how the library gets its donations for the year. The gala is a huge success until something terrible happens.

During the announcement of the funds raised for the library, the library is robbed. The most famous book in the library, the Family Bible of the Bryce’s is stolen from its case. Upon further investigation, all the donations have also been taken.

Sunshine is asked by the chief of police and her boss to look into the people in the library. Sunshine is very uncomfortable looking into her colleagues knowing that each one would benefit from the donations to the library and some might even lose their jobs without those donations.

Sunshine begins her investigation and automatically goes into “Nancy Drew” mode as she calls it. With the help of her friend, Molly, Sunshine uncovers piece by piece of the puzzle. The actual culprit is a huge surprise to all involved.

This cozy mystery is a quick read. The body-positive messages are great for anyone who struggles with feeling good about who they are. I really enjoyed the story and the way the mystery unfolds leading to dead ends and then the finale.

This was a new author for me. I really enjoyed the story line. Our main character is Sunshine Baker, she’s a YA librarian. I liked how the author brought the attention of libraries needing more help. In this book Sunshine basically gives her backstory. Then a crime is committed in the library and she’s asked to help the police solve it. It’s a good story and I will be excited for the next book in this series.

Betrayal At The Beach: A Cozy Christian Mystery is the first book in the Dangerous Curves series by K.L. Montgomery.

The main character is called Sunshine, and she definitely lives up to her name. She is in her forties, quirky, and very relatable. To be honest, I thought the whole cast of characters was amazing and helped to make this book so enjoyable.
Despite having no professional skills to do so, librarian Sunshine rallies the troops when she discovers that the library’s funds have been stolen along with a Bible that has a historical worth as well as a spiritual one.
The story is filled with twists and turns as Sunshine and her friends get closer to solving this mystery. I found this story very enjoyable and the author’s storytelling skills had me turning the pages late into the night.

Stage Mom: A Single Mom Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6) by K.L. Montgomery

5 Stars

Stage Mom gives us a mom fighting for her special needs daughter to be treated the same as anyone else, I have a special needs grandson and this one hit me square in the feels.

I loved how Larissa and Mateo weren’t these perfect 23 year old walking magazine covers, they were a bit older and written as real people.

This had some super tough spots for me, again I have a severely special needs grandson and this story was handled so beautifully, completely spot on and this made me love this book even more. Don’t get me wrong, there were some parts that made me want to crawl through my kindle and smack the heck out of a couple characters, but there were even more heartwarming moments and absolutely hilarious parts. I fell head over heels in love with Hailey from the start! I also once again love checking back in with many characters from earlier books

This was the perfect addition to this series, I’m praying that there is more to come from Rehoboth, a place I can see in my mind, a place I would love to visit! I can not wait to reread this whole series back to back on a quiet weekend!

Loved it!

Wedding War gives us the Hatfields and Mccoys feel with a child from each trying really hard not to like each other.

Jason and Hannah both run family businesses, their families have been at war for over 20 years and when a big time superstore moves into town threatening these family businesses these two must find a way to pull together if they have any hope of keeping their hometown businesses afloat. This makes for some of the best reading, the lol moments were plenty, the wondering what would happen next moments were plenty and watching these two trying to avoid their attraction was the best. This was one that had my hubby looking at me like I was losing my mind, trying not to laugh out loud sometimes is worse than just letting it go.

I loved this story, I think every one of them in this series become my favorite when I’m done, this whole series is amazing and this author is in a class of her own!!

Read them all seriously..they all could be read as stand alones but characters weave in and out of all the books and I just know you would want all of the stories!

Stage Mom: A Single Mom Romantic Comedy by K.L. Montgomery is the sixth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series. These books can all be read as standalone although I think you should definitely read them all as they are that good!
I loved Larissa! She is everything I want to be in a mum – she is strong and willing to fight tooth and nail for her daughter. And yet I found that she has such a sweet side to her. She had been through so much and yet was able to find a way past all of that to see new possibilities.
It worked well between her and Mateo – they complimented each other perfectly. Their story was entertaining and very amusing! The author has such a great writing style and always knows the right pace needed for her characters.
This is a brilliant series and one I have really enjoyed. I would highly recommend reading it!

I loved reading the story Stage Mom (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6) by K.L. Montgomery. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Larissa Emerson and Mateo Flores. Larissa is a strong, independent woman. She has a special needs daughter who she loves and will always fight that she is treated like any other girl. This includes when her daughter wants to be in a beauty pageant. Mateo is heading up the Little Miss Rehoboth Pageant. He wants to make sure that he doesn’t screw it up. He also finds himself deeply attracted to Larissa. After what has happened in the past Larissa doesn’t feel that she needs to find another man. Then she meets Mateo. These two have an attraction to each other. Will Larissa give Mateo a chance at her heart? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. I loved how Larissa’s character is not afraid to say what she means. I grew to care about what happened to Larissa and Mateo with each chapter that I read. The story also had my emotions going up and down while reading. There are moments when I would laugh and others that touched my heart. This is a book that I would highly recommend reading.

The story Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K.L. Montgomery is a wonderful romantic comedy. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Jason Friday and Hannah Robinson. Jason is intelligent, funny, charming, and handsome. Hannah is smart and beautiful. Both of their family’s business has been open for a long time. Both businesses have a good reputation helping out brides and grooms. There has also been a feud between their families for a very long time. Hannah and Jason have found out that Uber Brides are coming to Rehoboth Beach. Knowing that the days of their family’s business may be numbered Jason and Hannah band together. There is an attraction growing between these two. Will they be able to work together? Will they save their business? Will they take a chance and give in to the feelings they have for one another? Read this book to find out. This is such an entertaining book to read. There are moments that I was smiling and laughing out loud. I grew to care about the characters of Jason and Hannah with each chapter that I read. I also enjoyed reading about how Hannah and Jason interacted/bantered back and forth with each other. There are also characters in the book that have been brought forward from the previous books. It is wonderful to read about them again. This is a wonderful book with amazing and unforgettable characters. Highly recommended.

Music Man (Romance in Rehoboth Book 1)Music Man by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Music Man is a single Dad rock star romantic comedy and is a fun and enjoyable read. Book one in a new series by K.L. Montgomery, each book in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series is a standalone story set in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. “You’re never too old to fall in love with a rock star. Or chase your dreams”. Claire has just turned 40 and fallen in love with Jack, a want to be, rock star. Claire’s not sure if it’s his guitar, his beard or the flannel he wears but she finds Jack utterly irresistible. Music has always been Jacks first love but having failed to make it big as a singer and songwriter he turned to teaching music instead. When he starts teaching piano to Claire, he finds himself falling for the stunning read head. Then just as they start a relationship Jack’s big break comes and he has a chance to become a rock star and fulfil his first love.
I enjoyed this romantic comedy, Claire is an independent and strong female lead character and Jack is essentially a nice guy. I like the fact that Montgomery has written a romance novel where the main characters are over 40, rather than the younger norm. The storyline flowed nicely and I was fully immersed in Claire and Jack’s love story and loved the setting of Delaware’s top vacation destination. I look forward to reading other books in this series.

Stage Mom is the sixth book in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series by K.L Montgomery. It was such a great read, and definitely one of my favourites that Ms. Montgomery has written. It has just the right amount of drama and tension to really keep things interesting. This is a superb contemporary romance with a really well written and touching storyline. It’s definitely memorable- one I won’t soon forget.
Larissa is a single mother with a special needs daughter who is participating in the Little Miss Rehoboth pageant. Larissa is determined to ensure that her daughter is treated just like all the other children in the pageant.
Mateo is the new director, his family have been running the pageant for many years, but this is the first time that Mateo has been trusted to oversee the whole thing himself. He has a lot riding on this. With some radical ideas for improving the show, he’s determined to make this the best show ever- but not everyone likes change.
The chemistry between the two starts to sizzle as these two try to hide their attraction. Getting involved will only complicate things even more. Won’t it?
Such a great story!!!
As I have said so many times before, I love all Ms. Montgomery’s stories- she really is a gifted storyteller who is easily able to pull readers into her stories- keeping them invested, connected, and engrossed every step of the way. I love how her stories depicts characters who are entirely realistic, relatable, and endearing.
Another great addition to the series!

Thank you, Ms. Montgomery!

Wedding War is the fifth book in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series by K.L Montgomery. You don’t have to have read the other books in this series to be able to enjoy this one. But, I do recommend reading them anyway- because they are really wonderful stories and well worth the read, too!
Jason Friday`s family operates a local business catering to grooms. They are the sworn enemies of Hannah Robinson’s family- who owns the local Bridal shop. The feud has been on-going, but what happens when a wedding one stop shop chain store sets up in town? These two will need to come together to take on the big business, and find a way to work together to save both their family businesses. What happens here makes for a funny and very romantic story! Definitely one of my favourites of the series, so far!

Stage Mom by K.L Montgomery a five-star read that will astound you. This is number six in the Romance in Rehoboth series and its strangely my favourite, I say that as its not like the rest of the series, this one just has that little extra or lots of something little extras and they won’t appeal to everyone but they just made the whole thing extra for me. There are some moments in this story that I didn’t enjoy and I did want to throat punch some people, but overall there was something extra about the writing and something made me tear up one moment and smile like my face was breaking at others. Thank you for writing this series I’m sure it will be a re-read multiple times for me.

This is number five in the Romance in Rehoboth series, but each one can be read as stand alone as they are set in the same place but feature a different couple. Hannah and Jason will make you smile, they will make you fight on their behalf. The back and forth is amazing and will just make you chuckle so hard, all of these stories have been good, but this one just seems to have that extra spark.

Well of course, that backfires on her. But, what was this secret that Chris was holding back? The second book is Wedding War. In this case, two families are at war with each other. Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Netania Lim

This continues a wonderful romantic comedy series. Each of the stories has strong, funny characters. The stories stand alone, and if only it were summer, they’d be the perfect beach read. The storylines are smooth and uncomplicated, making for an easy read. A bit of sweet romance.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Angelina Frazzini

This Romance in Rehoboth Box Set by K.L. Montgomery has books four, five and six all in one convenient place. I highly recommend this box set as you can’t go wrong with any of the books in this series!

One of the books included in this box set is Badge Bunny.

Badge Bunny by KL Montgomery is book four of the Romance in Rehoboth series. This book can be read as a standalone but characters from the previous books are present in this book as well. This book is Brynne and Chris’ story.

Brynne doesn’t exactly find herself with a lot of free time due to her job. Therefore, she meets guys the only way she can. She can’t help that they happen to be police officers. But even so, her coworkers have dubbed her with the badge bunny nickname. She swears she’s done dating police officers after the last disaster but she certainly doesn’t expect to meet Chris shortly after swearing them off.

Chris is a Delaware State Trooper and finds himself pretty smitten with Dr. Miller. He can’t stop thinking about her and it works out in his favor that he’ll be spending a weekend in close proximity to her for his best friends wedding.

A series of events had Brynne and Chris bonding. Brynne starts to realize Chris may not be as bad as she originally portrayed him in her mind. Can Brynne let the police officer stereotype she has in her mind go and give Chris a chance? Will Chris finally be true to who he really is?

I really enjoyed this book. It evoked a lot of feeling but also had me laughing at some parts as well. You could definitely witness the growth of the characters by the end of the book and I was glad to be on that journey with them! Definitely a great book to read!
