My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have really enjoyed this series and I was really looking forward to reading this the fifth book and I wasn’t disappointed. It had the wonderful characters I expected and the exciting storyline I have come to love from these books. I really like the authors writing, I find the stories easy to read and the pace and flow is excellent – I’m engaged the whole way through. For me, I feel like this is my favourite book from the series, I had such a connection with Eleanor, she was so relatable to me, I felt like I really empathised with the her and the things she went through. I really liked Wes too and I’ve been waiting for his story to pop up!
Overall a wonderful story with great characters! A definite must read!

I absolutely adored this book! I think it is definitely up there with one of my favourite reads of 2021. I do love this author and have read so many of her books but this one just captured my heart from the very beginning. The writing was just so, so beautiful – it really was an absolute pleasure to read. The authors descriptive language and how she describes the beautiful setting of Italy made me feel like I was right there with the characters. Gianna and Sergio’s story was so beautiful and believable, they had a really genuine connection.
I would absolutely recommend this book to other readers!

The Earl’s Scandalous Wager by Wareeze Woodson – Review by Katie Matthews

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVE historical romance so when I read the synopsis for this book, I couldn’t wait to start it and it was just such a brilliant read. I loved every single page, word, second of it. I was transported to this wonderful time period which the author had written about in such beautiful detail, it was really great to read. I loved the characters and I really felt for Emily, wagered by her stepbrother in a game. I really enjoyed reading about her relationship with the Earl of Lenbridge – there were so many things going on in their lives I wondered whether they could actually make their marriage work.
This was my first book by this author and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more. Historical romance fans will absolutely love this book – I know I did!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have no idea what to say about this book apart from it was amazing!!! I loved the first one in the series, the taster book for what was about to happen but I was not prepared for how awesome this book was going to be! I was hooked from the very beginning and I am left wanting so much more! This writing duo are so suited to each other, their talent blends into one and you literally have no idea that it’s written by two authors. Dane was just – I’m not sure I even know how to describe him – should I love him or shouldn’t I? I have no idea which It should be but I know that I most definitely do love him! The pull between him and Mila was magnetic. I loved every second of this book and I cannot wait for more!!

I really enjoyed part one in this series so I was really looking forward to reading this book and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Lillie was still a great female lead, I liked finding out more about her in this story too. I really enjoyed getting lost in this book, the author did a great job with worldbuilding and character development. I think Lillie especially grew and developed so much in this second book; she is certainly one who can hold her own!!
I really enjoyed this story duet and I would definitely like to read more from this author again in the future.

THE DEVOTED FANTHE DEVOTED FAN by Pamela DuMond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After book. 4 in this series I was so excited to read the final book The Devoted Fan and it didn’t disappoint! I thought I had got everything worked out about what was going to happen but no the author definitely had some twists in store. I have loved this series and didn’t want it to end and I think it’s safe to say Ms DuMond has certainly saved the best book for last! After Evie’s injury at the end of the last book I was intrigued to see just who was out to get her and the author definitely kept me on my toes and me guessing throughout! I really like Evie and have loved reading about her!

Although this series is over, I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Going in to this book I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, I’m not a huge paranormal fan but I really like this author but the story was amazing. Full of so much emotion I was completely captivated by what I was reading. I felt what the characters did and I thought the author just did a wonderful job with them. There were some unexpected twists and turns and it was actually a really though provoking read too that made me think about what I was reading.

I loved this book! I knew when I read the synopsis, I was excited to read it and I wasn’t wrong. It was such a captivating read and I loved every minute of it. This author is new to me and I can’t wait to read more from her in the future and Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes is certainly an excellent start to ‘Kiss Me’ series! I really liked Damien, I liked him from the very beginning and the chemistry between him and Zoe was undeniable – even if they did try and deny it at times! I loved the plot surrounding these two, friends, enemies, slight forbidden romance it had it all! I am really looking forward to the next book in the series!

I absolutely loved this book – I have to say I have a thing for a sexy cowboy so this story was definitely up my street so to speak! I loved Eric! He’d not had the easiest of lives but loved his simple and easy life until it’s jeopardised by a family member. I really felt for him at times and the author did a great job with his character giving him that slight vulnerability – this made me love him even more. I liked Susan too, she was clearly looking to get away from her past life when she meets Eric. Their story definitely had some twists and turns and it is one that I highly recommend.

I love Sheldon, he was definitely book boyfriend material! I loved Sheldon for her dominance but Alexis was certainly one who could hold her own but the passion and sparks between them was off the charts! Their story is definitely a steamy one!! Exhale and Move On Audio Book

I loved this audio book! It was such a great listen, so much so I listened to it in one sitting. The narration was really good and easy to listen to. I hadn’t read the trilogy that features some of the characters in this story but it didn’t matter for me, I was completely engaged in Rik’s story, although it’s definitely made me want to read/listen to more from this author now! I’m not actually a fan of m/m stories but I this one was written really well so I wasn’t overly bothered by it and a hot, sexy rock star is always going to be a winner in my eyes! I definitely would recommend this story! I loved it from beginning to end and I’m looking forward to reading/listening to more from this author and this series of books again in the future.

Flowers in December – Audio Book

This was a really lovely audio book and I enjoyed listening to it.

I really enjoyed Connor’s story and could feel all of his emotions. I can only imagine the kind of loss that he is currently going through but he was really well supported by the local community. They all clearly loved his mother very much as did he. The way in which the author wrote this story felt like I was going through the grieving process with Connor. Along with Connor were some really lovely secondary characters, I especially liked Mary Ann; she seemed so sweet and genuine. The narrator really got the emotion of the story across well.
A beautifully written story and i would definitely recommend the audio book.

My Lips Are Sealed (Sealed With a Kiss Book 1) by Carmen Richter – Review by Katie Matthews

My Lips Are Sealed (Sealed With a Kiss #1)My Lips Are Sealed by Carmen Richter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My Lips Are Sealed was a really great read, I like a forbidden romance story so this was definitely my kind of book. I was quickly engaged in although I will say I did struggle to connect with the main character Zoe at times, this may have been due to her age but there was just something however it didn’t mean that I didn’t like the story because I really did. There is definitely. Lot of angst and drama in the story and I did really feel a connection between the characters at times. I did feel for Zoe and the things she has been through. The author did a good job with getting the emotion across in the story. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

The story was really good, I liked that it was original and something really different to read. The authors writing was engaging and entertaining. I was dragged into the story easily and my attention was held throughout. I liked the unpredictability of it. Lillie was a great character, I really liked her and I’m looking forward to the second book in the series!

I really enjoyed this book; I have to admit that I was almost put off by the length of time for the audio book but actually as I was so engrossed in what I was listening to the 11 hours went by really quickly. I did listen to it over a few days but it was a really good story and I really enjoyed it. It is definitely a slow story but definitely one worth sticking with. Valerie is one of those characters you have to get to know before you can decide whether or not you like her. And Flynn – well I loved him straight away! The narrator was good and did well to get so much emotion over from the story. I am really looking forward to the next part to Valerie and Flynn’s story.

I absolutely loved this audiobook! I think it is probably one of the best that I have listened to so far. The narrator was brilliant, she really brought the story to life. The story was excellent, I love historical romance but usually in the early 1900’s so this was more modern for me but I loved it. The characters were brilliant, Jenny was a brilliant female lead, she made me laugh so many times. The time went so fast whilst listening because I was so engrossed in the story. I would highly recommend this audio book I thought it was absolutely brilliant!

Poor Evie! I really felt for her in this book, I could really feel how much she was feeling the loss of Wyatt, the author did a great job of making you feel all of her emotion and grief. I found this book really interesting to read, there were some great twists and turns. I do find that I have to take these books a little slowly to fully understand the characters and their stories and especially for Evie, she has such a background to tell as well as what was happening in the present day. I have to say that the authors depth of storytelling definitely comes through in this book, I really felt like I knew the characters well.
I am so excited that there is going to be another book after this – I cannot wait to read it!

The depth of feeling that was in the book really took me by surprise, I really got into the story and the characters so easily. Tillie was a great main character to read about and her story was heart-breaking in parts. I really felt that depth of emotion coming from her.
I love a dark read and this definitely satisfied that for me. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the series, if book one is anything to go by, I think I am definitely in for a good read!
