Evil Sushi (Evil Sushi #1)Evil Sushi by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Evil Sushi was a chilling read that really had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. I don’t usually go for this type of book but I have read work by this author previously and the story was so well written, that although it wasn’t my usual, I still really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.
The characters were really interesting to read about, the character development was excellent which is a strong point for this author in my opinion. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!

VENGEANCE (THE JOURNALS TRILOGY BOOK TWO) AUDIO BOOK by D.M. EARL – Review by Katie Matthews

Vengeance (The Journals Trilogy Book Two) Audio Book

By D.M. Earl

4 stars

After listening to the first book in the series I was really looking forward to settling down with Vengeance and it didn’t disappoint. Once again the narration was really easy to listen to and I was easily engaged in what I was listening to. I liked that the read time was quite short; I listened to it in 2 sittings. There were some triggers in the story that made it difficult to listen to at times especially as it’s spoken it really does feel like you are listening to someone’s real life. Quinn’s story is quite powerful to listen to and is definitely thought provoking! I admire her strength of character and I am looking forward to seeing where her story goes in the next instalment of this series!

Twisted Throttle (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Katie Matthews

Twisted Throttle (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #3)Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely adore this author; her books never fail to entertain me and I have read quite a few if not all of them. All of the storylines are different and so to are the characters, a true testament to her as an author when you can write so many books and they are always different! Twisted Throttle was such an amazing read from beginning to end. I love the crossover with the other series and seeing new generation if characters coming through. I loved Peg so to read Noah (Throttle’s) story was great. Gwen was a brilliant character to read about and the sparks definitely flew between her and Throttle! Such an amazing read from beginning to end and I cannot wait for whatever Ms Mellett brings out next – I shall be eagerly awaiting it!!

I really enjoyed this story. It was a great rom com read and one that I would highly recommend. I loved Willow, she was such a relatable character, the author really made her feel believable. There were a few laugh out loud moments between her and Gun, they had a nice amount of chemistry and attraction.
The flow of the story was really good, it made it so easy to read. Overall a fantastic read and I can’t wait to read more from Ms May again in the future.

Savage (Ash Park Series Book 10) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Katie Matthews

Savage: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 10)Savage: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another absolutely nail-biting instalment to this amazing series by Ms O’Flynn! I cannot believe after 10 books I am still completely hooked on this series; the author has an amazing talent at grabbing my attention with her writing from the very start. I love Petrosky and watching him as he tries to solve crimes. Each book has been different and equally as riveting to read. In this story we see Petrosky face his demons and I was right there in the story with all of the characters. He is determined to find the person who killed his partner!
This series definitely needs to be read in order in my opinion _ it’s an excellent series and readers will not be disappointed!!

THE ISTANBUL HEIST (CODE RAVEN SERIES Book 8) by LYNDA FILLER – Review by Katie Matthews

THE ISTANBUL HEIST: Code Raven 8THE ISTANBUL HEIST: Code Raven 8 by Lynda Filler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series and was really excited to read this newest instalment and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The author has definitely taken this series to another level with this new book – it was exciting, dangerous and so much more. She knows how to keep the reader’s attention mot just throughout her stories but throughout the series as a whole. The action started pretty, much straight away when Samaar and Alice arrive in Istanbul, I loved that I didn’t see things coming in this story at all – fantastic twists and turns! Although there is more than one story going on in this book it wasn’t confusing at all.
I would recommend reading this series in order- they are fantastic stories! I can’t wait for more from this author in the future!

Sons of Sindicato (Sons of Sindicato #0)Sons of Sindicato by Cam Johns
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh My Gosh! What a story this was and I am so, so excited for the next book now – I cannot wait! The writing for this novella was completely flawless- it’s impossible to tell (in my opinion) that it is written by two authors, their writing style complement each other perfectly. I’ve read books by both of these authors so I knew I would be in for a good read and whilst this might only be a novella it absolutely packs a punch – it’s definitely up there with my favourite reads of 2021! I loved the characters and I cannot wait to read more about them! Braelynn was an amazing female lead, such a wonderful strength about her even though she still had her vulnerabilities.
I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series – I cannot wait!!!

Loyalty & LiesLoyalty & Lies by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was SO excited to see this book had been released. I have adored the Spicetopia series and I loved Ms Alexanders Easter shore Swingers Series so to see a crossover of characters absolutely made my day! This book was an amazing read, I loved everything about it. I think it may be my favourite from this series so far. I loved reading about Calvin and Paisley again; I loved them both as much as I did the first time I read their story. Paisley has such a great personality and added in her pregnancy hormones she was even better to read about. I loved the twists and turns the author took the story, definitely had me on the edge of my seat more than once especially seeing’s how much I love these two!
I would recommend reading this series in order although they can be read as standalones. I can’t wait for more from Ms Alexander as always! She is definitely one of my favourite authors.

Another fantastic read from this author. It was full of action from beginning to end and it was as I expected from this author. She commands my attention from the very first page until the last. I love her characters they are always well written and great to read about.
In this third instalment of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series we follow Malina and Tyler’s story. I loved both of these characters, Tyler was the kind of alpha male I love to read about and I adored Malina! She was strong and sassy! A fantastic heroine! I was with Tyler every step of the way as he tried to find Malina.
I would recommend reading this series in order; all of the books have been amazing so far! I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this series!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

10 Days was a really funny read – I enjoyed it a lot. One of the things I really liked about the story was the setting – I don’t think I’ve read a story that involved camping – it was really refreshing to read. All the characters were great to read about – I guess some parts were a little predictable but I don’t think that made me like the story any less. I loved the connection between Alex, Luke and Penny.
Overall 10 Days was a really great read and one that I would highly recommend. I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Auctioned (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 3)Auctioned by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s been a long time since I struggled to review a book, I sat here for ages trying to think of the words to do this story justice and I really cannot find them. Auctioned is hands down my favourite read of 2021! I already knew I would love it because I love this author but I was completely hooked from beginning to end – I almost wish I hadn’t read it because I would love to go back and read it again for the very first time. I 100% adored and loved Damian – he was everything I wanted from his character and more. The chemistry between him and Bryanna was off the charts! I loved reading about them and wanted more after the story had ended! There was so much to this story that I was so invested in it and the characters. A truly beautiful read.
I cannot recommend this book and the series enough – they are all amazing reads and I just completely adore this author and her amazing writing!

I loved this book so, so much. Historical romance is my favourite genre to read, I love being transported back and the author did an AMAZING job with this story. The detail she went into was incredible and I really felt like I was right there with the characters at times. Countess Zdenka Waldner was a fantastic heroine to read about – I loved her from the very beginning. I loved that the author included explanations of some of the words using during the story, it meant that it was easy to read for me and definitely helped with the flow of the story too.

Hungry Business: A Short StoryHungry Business: A Short Story by Maria DeBlassie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is definitely one of those books that after you’ve finished you think – what did I just read? And how did the author manage to get all that into 17 pages? I think it’s safe to say this is definitely not one of the genres I read but I have read the author previous book so thought I would give it a go. The writing is excellent, the pace and flow is excellent and whilst the content was a little too gory for me I cannot fault the authors work at all. Lovers of the thriller/horror genre will love this short story and I would definitely recommend it to others.

This story carried on straight from book 2 so they definitely need to be read in order and as I anticipated they story was just as well written with a great pace. The author’s vivid imagination really shines through and allows to me to imagine what is going on with the characters. I was immersed in the story from beginning to end. I really liked the characters; they are well developed and imaginative. I think out of the three stories this is probably my favourite so far.
