This was a really interesting read. After reading the synopsis I was intrigued by what I would read and I was looking for something different so thought I would give it a go – overall I really enjoyed it. I think going in have no preconceived idea about what the book would entail meant I had a complete blank mind about it. The author definitely captured my interest form the beginning and the way in which the memoirs were presented made it really easy to read. I really felt like I knew the author after finishing to book. There was emotion in what I was reading and it definitely made it different knowing it was about the author’s life/feelings/emotions and not fiction. Overall a really interesting and different read and I would recommend it to others.

What a read!! From beginning to end I was completely gripped by the story – I am so glad I found this to read. The main characters were just great to read bout – Giana –what an amazing person, her pure determination and strength considering her past just amazed me – she was so determined to start over and try and forget what she endured. In Derek I just knew she had found the perfect person to try and help her with her new life – his patience was so endearing at times. I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through. There were some great twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat at times. I cannot recommend this book enough – possibly one of my favourite reads of 2020!! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.
When I first read the blurb for this book it sounded like a book I would really enjoy, I love a Navy SEAL story, there is just something about these characters and overall I enjoyed what I read. I will say that it is a book that is quite complex in its storyline so I wouldn’t say it was an easy read, I did have to re-read the beginning so I could fully understand what was going on but once I settled into the story it picked up in my opinion. There were quite a few things going on so I think you have to be prepared to be able to concentrate on what you are reading, it isn’t a book you can easily dip in and out of. The characters were good, they were well thought out and planned and the authors writing was pretty detailed, there was a good mystery running through the story which definitely had me keep turning the pages to find out what was going to happen. I don’t think there was as much romance in the story as I anticipated but it was definitely a good mystery!
Secure Again – Book 2
Secure Again was another great read from R.L. Dunn; the story was as engaging and exciting to read as the first one. There was great mix of mystery and suspense running throughout and I was engaged from beginning to end. I loved that the plot was predictable either; I loved having to guess what is going to happen!! There did seem to be quite a few different characters and it took me a little while to get used to them all but I loved the main characters! I loved Elizabeth! She was a really strong character and a pleasure to read about. I was definitely on the edge of my seat on a few occasions waiting to see if characters would survive and would Elizabeth be able to help them! There were a few twists in the story too which made it even better to read!
Secure Heart – Book 3
This is the 3rd book in the Chase Security series and it was definitely my favourite! I liked the first two but I just found myself completely gripped by the story in this one. I really liked the characters Julian and Holly and I absolutely adored Holly’s daughter Sadie! She was such a special little girl to read about. Julian’s character appeared in book 2 of the series but I really enjoyed getting to know him more in this instalment. He’s such a lovely character, really genuine and I loved the connection he had with Holly. I was definitely rooting for these two the whole way through because they both deserved to be with someone special.

I really enjoyed this story! I absolutely loved Jake! He is a brilliant character to read about. The storyline was interesting and intriguing; the author certainly had me guessing at times! I loved Cody as well!! The bond between him and Jake was great! The author’s great writing style meant that my attention was kept from beginning to end. The story and characters were really well developed and it’s definitely a book that I would highly recommend!

When I first read the synopsis for this story I wasn’t overly sure that I would like it however I have read stories by this author previously and really liked them so I thought I would give it a go. In all honesty I was really surprised, I was hooked from the very first page, it was such a gripping and intriguing story and a fantastic start to this series and I really cannot wait for more! The authors’ writing throughout was excellent, she had me guessing all the way through, I know that my imagination was in overdrive at times. I was completely invested in what I was reading. The originality of the storyline was great and the author’s attention to detail definitely made this story even more exciting to read. I love the complexity of the characters and the multiple POV’s meant that I was able to understand them a little more as the story unfolded. I am so excited for the next book in the series – I cannot wait to see where this series is going! I 100% recommend this book!!

Yet another wonderful 5 star read from this author! I absolutely loved this book – I have been eagerly awaiting this release and it didn’t disappoint at all! It was action packed from the very beginning and that continued throughout the story. I loved Sloane and Luke! They had a great amount of chemistry. I loved Sloane, I thought she was a great character; she was definitely fierce and definitely wanted to get her job done. The authors writing again in the story was just excellent, I think she is definitely up there with my favourite authors, I just love reading her books. I am definitely getting lost in the vigilantes and I look forward to seeing what’s to come next from them! This is the second book in the series and I highly recommend that they are read in order! A fantastic 5 star read that I highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this book!! It made me laugh quite a few times whilst I was reading it, the story was fun to read and I really liked the characters. The author has a really fun and engaging writing style and the story was so easy to read. I thought that Crimson was just such an awesome character to read about, I think she is probably one of my favourite characters this year, she made me smile and laugh so much – I absolutely adored her and her clumsiness! I loved Mike as well – they were so perfect together! I would recommend reading this series in order but they can also be read as standalones. I am definitely loving this paranormal romantic comedy series and I would highly recommend it to other readers!

Unwrapped was a fantastic 5 star read that I really enjoyed from beginning to end. The synopsis sounded great so I couldn’t wait to get started and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I loved the main characters, Nick and Miranda, they were opposite to each other but as they say opposites attract and they definitely had the attraction and chemistry going on! I mean I fell in love with Nick straight away 0 I love the dark and brooding type of characters – hence why I loved Nick from the get go! There were a few twists and turns along the way but I was definitely rooting for the two of them from the very beginning. A fun, romance read that I would highly recommend!

This story was so brilliant! I loved every minute of it. I was kind of hooked after I read the blurb but once I started reading it exceeded my expectations. The storyline was quirky and funny and I loved the characters, they made me laugh so much. I just adored the main characters, especially Sophie! The connection and back and forth between her and Trace was funny. Although this is the second book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series it’s easily read as a standalone which is how I read it, it’s also the first time that I have ready anything by this author and I cannot wait to read more of this series! I loved this book so much and would definitely recommend it to others!

When I first read the synopsis for this book I was a little intrigued, it sounded good so thought I would give it a go. When I first started reading it I wondered if I would enjoy it especially since I’ve not read the first two in the series but I absolutely did. It was a really good read. The author’s writing was detailed and descriptive which enabled me to imagine what I was reading and for me this made the story even more enjoyable. I loved the main characters Frances and Jack as well as some great secondary characters too. I will definitely be reading the first two in the series now and I am looking forward to more from this series also. This book was a great introduction to Ms Radtke as a new author!

I’ve read a few books this year but not one that has grabbed me like this one. I absolutely loved it! Even after I had finished reading I wanted more, I wanted to go back and start it all over again. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I cannot wait to carry on this series with her. Her writing was superb, it was engaging and the characters were just amazing to read about. The flow of the story meant that it was so easy to read and the pace was perfect. Lula and Dominic – I just loved them. She was sweet and he was hot (and I mean book boyfriend hotness level!!) I adored them together and was rooting for then the whole time! There a few twists in the story which was great, it made it less predictable. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!! I 100% recommend this book!! A fantastic debut novel!!

Oh I loved this set of Christmas novellas; they were all so lovely and heart-warming to read. Absolutely perfect for curling up with on a cold night! Each story had wonderful main characters that I fell in love with straight away. They were all really well written and perfect for just grabbing as they are so easy to get into. I loved that I could just put it down and pick up again and start a new novella. Although they were novellas they were all crammed full of story, romance, fun times and more! I definitely recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.
I LOVED this book so, so much! It was a great read! I really like this author, I’ve read quite a few books of hers and I think she’s doing a fabulous job with writing in multiple genres! I highly recommend her books to everybody! High Heels and Mistletoe was a great holiday read (also my favourite types of read!) I love the setting for the story, I loved the characters, in fact I honestly just loved everything about it! I loved Julietta, she was so much fun to read about and Luke – book boyfriend material right there! I loved the interaction between the two of them, it made for great reading! If you’re looking for a holiday read then I 100% recommend High Heels and Mistletoe!

Another great read from this author. This is the third book in the Lucky Devil series and I would definitely recommend that they are read in order! This for me was a little slow to start but I still really enjoyed it. I really like Rune; she’s a great character to read about. The action in the story definitely picked up in the second half of the story and my attention was definitely grabbed from there on in. The author does have a wonderful attention to detail which is great for me as a reader; it helps me imagine what I’m reading. Overall a great third book in the series and I look forward to more from this author in the future.

Another enjoyable read from this author. I was quickly swept up into Maggie’s story – I mean she’s a girl after my own heart with her love of Christmas! I thought she was such a wonderful character to read about, I found her to be really likeable and relatable. I loved Trey – the two of them together made me laugh! They certainly were a match and I enjoyed the banter between them! The story flowed really well and it certainly made me feel all Christmassy after I had finished it. The authors writing was excellent as usual, I am definitely a fan of hers! Overall a wonderful read and one that I would highly recommend!

This was such a lovely read and I have to be honest I haven’t read a Halloween romance before so it was really refreshing! I really loved the storyline and the characters. Belladonna was a really nice character to read about, she had that wholesome girl next door feel about her and she definitely wasn’t in the market for love after her past until Cade – I think he could make anyone seriously think about dating again! He is everything I love in a rock star! I think I fell in love with him straight away. I loved all the different twists in the story; it was an absolute pleasure to read. It’s one of those books that you wish you could go back and read again for the first time experience the characters and their story again. I think this is probably one of the best books that I have read this year. I think this is a fantastic debit novel for the author!! I am definitely looking forward to more to come from this series!

This is a fantastic set of stories – I read books 2,3 and the novella but definitely need to make time to read book 1 – they are brilliant reads!!
Book 2 – Blind Magic I thought that the story was really unique and interesting to read. My attention was grabbed straight away and was held throughout the book. I liked the characters, I thought that they were thought out and they developed well over the story. I thought that Sera was strong female lead, she strong, independent and knew her limits. I really enjoyed reading about her. Ian was also a really strong character, not as alpha as I was expecting but I liked that about him. There were some great twists and turns in the story that I definitely didn’t see coming.
Book 3 – Dead Magic Loved this book!! From beginning to end I was completely captivated by Finn and Violet’s story! The author (who I adore) wove a magical paranormal romance tale of two wonderful characters! There was so much going on in the story that I couldn’t put it down at all and read it in one sitting! The story just flowed easily from page to page – I think this could possibly be one of my favourite books by Ms Kells! I love how Violet and Finn really shouldn’t be together, Violet hates vampires, but there was something there between the two of them that was undeniable! I loved the interaction between the two of them! I did feel for Violet and what happened to her in her past and Finn really wanted to protect her.
Novella – Hidden Magic Hidden Magic may have been a novella but it was packed full with a wonderful storyline and equally as wonderful characters. I am completely in love with Kat and Brant’s story, it is just so beautifully written. Brant’s determination just showed how much Kat means to him and I was rooting for them the whole way through. I honestly thought that they were so perfect for each other. The whole story is just so beautifully and richly detailed that at times it is so easy to imagine what I am reading.

I never get tired of reading books by this author, I often wonder how she can write so many books and never repeat storylines but she doesn’t. Every character is different and they always have a way of making you fall in love with them straight away. I really liked Grumbler, he was a little more mature than I first thought he was going to be so I really liked that about him, I really liked this connection he had with Mary, they were both great characters to read about. This is the second book in the San Diego chapter of the Satan’s Devil MC and it looks as though it’s going to be a great division to read about. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series! This is a highly recommended series.

I LOVE a Christmas book! It’s my most favourite time of the year and after everything that’s happened this year I needed a Christmas read to get me in the spirit and this book most definitely did that! The author lovely descriptive language made me so want to visit the setting for this story! I felt all Christmassy after finishing it – my husband wasn’t impressed that I wanted to put the Christmas decorations up! I loved the plot and the characters, I guess the story was a little predictable but with that wonderful Christmas magic the author sprinkled along the way I wasn’t really bothered. It was a lovely, easy to read story that I was lost in from beginning to end.

What a fantastic collection of stories from some well-known to me authors and few new ones. I was really excited to see a story from Bree Kraemer – I love her stories and haven’t read one for ages. I loved the variety in the storylines; each one was different but equally as entertaining. I loved all of the books but the one which I loved the most (and it’s a difficult choice) was one night with a Knight – I adored the main character, I thought that she was really relatable. I also really enjoyed A Hole by Phoebe Alexander – she is absolutely one of my most favourite authors ever. Overall I really enjoyed this set of short reads, they were all excellent and I highly recommend you one click this set today!
So this amazingly talented author had definitely gone out with a bang! I have really enjoyed this series and am sad that it’s over but what a book to end on! It was a fantastic read and one that I could only really give 4 stars to! It’s not my usual genre but I took a chance and it didn’t take me long to be fully invested in what I was reading and that carried on the whole way through the series. The author has a wonderful attention to detail and this really adds to the enjoyment of the story. The characters have been creative and imaginative and a joy to read about and follow through these 9 books. I would definitely recommend this story and the whole of this series!!

When I first read the blurb for this book it sounded like something I would enjoy and it absolutely was! It was a fast paced thrilling read and I really enjoyed it. I’ve read a few books by this author previously when they have been included in anthologies and always enjoyed what I read. I loved the main characters, married but so many secrets between them. There was quite a lot of action in the story and I loved trying to guess what was going to happen. I was interested to find out if Tom and Cat’s marriage could survive so many secrets!! The story is on the shorter side but it definitely was not missing anything at all!! I am definitely looking forward to more to come from this author in the future! A highly recommend read!!

I really like this author; her stories are always a pleasure to read. I find it so easy to get wrapped up in what I’m reading because of her fantastic descriptive language and world building. Super Sorry was a wonderful read full of everything I’ve come to expect from this author. I really liked the main character Sarah; I did feel sorry for her at ties with everything she was trying to navigate in her teenage life. She made me laugh a few times and she was definitely a connectable and likeable character. I can see this story definitely appealing to YA and I think they would enjoy it. Overall Super Sorry is a well written story that I really enjoyed. As always I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Another fantastic read from this author! Although I haven’t read book 1 in this series I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The characters were so much fun to read about – I loved them! The author dragged me into the story from the get go and my interest was held throughout. Her descriptive detail and creative writing style make for an excellent read – it’s a story where characters and their story come to life. Whilst I’m not a huge shapeshifter fan I’ve really enjoyed the stories by this author and I am definitely looking forward to reading more in the future. Overall a fantastic read and one that I wholeheartedly recommend.

LOVED this book!! I absolutely adore historical romance and I haven’t found a good one to read for a while so when I came across this I grabbed it and settled down. It had everything I love in a historical romance, romance obviously, but also great characters, wonderful descriptive language, a great setting and great plot. This is also an author who is new to me and I just loved her writing style. I felt like I was right there with the characters, her wonderful detailed writing meant that I was easily able to imagine what I was reading. I love a strong heroine in these kinds of stories and Maggie definitely fulfilled that! She was such a great character to read about. I would absolutely recommend this book and I am really looking forward to more to come from this author in the future!!

I have read a few books by this author now so I never hesitate to pick up one when I see them and as soon as I read the synopsis for Kismet Heart I knew I wanted to dive right in. It was as I expected a great read, full of action, emotion and more! The beginning of the story grabbed my attention straight away and it was held the entire way through. I loved Malorie, I really felt for her after everything she went through and she was such a great character to read about – I loved the banter between her and Ace! Ace was also a great character, the connection between him and Malorie, there was an instant attraction even if she was intent on fighting it! As always a great read by this author and I look forward to more in the future!!

I really enjoyed this book – who doesn’t love a forbidden romance read! It had humour and it was entertaining throughout. I have read a few books by this author so I knew I would enjoy it! She had a great writing style that captures your interest from the very beginning, she creates great characters and enjoyable plots and Love Surreptitiously definitely ticked all the boxes on that front! I loved the characters, they made me laugh. Especially Sidney bless her! There was a good amount of chemistry between her and Quinlan, their first meeting was funny! It may have been a little predictable what was going to happen but I didn’t care at all, I loved what I was reading. I think maybe because it was a shorter read it felt a little rushed at times but I didn’t really have a huge impact on the story overall and I would definitely recommend it to other readers!

I really enjoyed this story and I think it obvious that the author has personal ties to the story as it’s written with such emotion. It flowed really well and I was completely absorbed in what I was reading. I think at times early on in the story the multiple pov’s and the switching made it a little confusing but once I settled in to the story and got to know the characters I had no problems at all. I really liked all of the characters and following their stories. I’ve read a few books by this author previously so it was really nice to read something different from her, and I do like real life stories there’s just something extra to them knowing that these things really happened. Overall a really lovely read and one that I would recommend.

This was an exciting and thrilling read – so much so that I devoured it in one sitting and it’s not usually a genre that I read! The author’s writing was so engaging, detailed and descriptive and it’s definitely made me want to read more books by him again in the future. I loved that the whole way through I was constantly guessing trying to figure out what was going to happen and just when I thought I had worked it out the author threw in a plot twist!! I really liked the main character; he was intriguing to read about! This is the third book in this series however I read it as a standalone and had no problems but I would definitely like to read the first two now and any subsequent releases!
I am a huge fan of historical romance but I’ve not read much historical fiction from this era so when I saw this story I thought I would take a chance and I really enjoyed it. The authors’ writing was really engaging and the time period was actually really intriguing to read about. I love the plot and the characters. I really felt involved in the characters’ lives and throughout the story I really wanted the best for them. Brek’s life was fascinating and there were so many times where my heart broke for him a little – he found such a great connection with Gabriella, their relationship definitely wasn’t the easiest but it was so genuine I desperately wanted it to work out for them. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from her again in the future.
