Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream (Rebecca Steele Series #2)Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this story! It is the second book in the series and I haven’t read the first but I had no trouble understanding the story at all and I absolutely would love to read book 1 now to fully understand the story and characters even better. I really liked Becky and thought that she was a great main character, I really liked Emily also! The authors writing was really engaging and I think I have definitely found a new author to follow! The pace and flow of the story was great and I couldn’t put it down – I read it in one sitting and fairly quickly. I am definitely looking forward to more from this author in the future.

Night Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel Book 1) by India Kells – Review by Katie Matthews

Night JusticeNight Justice by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think I am yet to read a book by this author that I haven’t loved. Her writing is as captivating as always and I was hooked from beginning to end. There was plenty of action from the very start. The characters in the story were great. I really liked Orla, she was strong, determined and wasn’t going to back down. I really enjoyed reading about her. I loved that there was a little romance in the story too. When Orla and The Vigilante meet their connection and chemistry was undeniable!
Night Justice is a fantastic 5 star read, it has some darker romance elements to it which I loved! I am really excited to read the next book in the series!

Satan’s Devils MC Boxset Books 1-5 (Satans Devils MC Series) by Manda Mellett – Review by Katie Matthews

Satan's Devils MC Boxset Books 1-5Satan’s Devils MC Boxset Books 1-5 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an amazing set of books! From the beginning of book 1 until the end of book 5 I was completely captivated! I absolutely adore this author – her MC books are by far the best I’ve ever read. They are always different and the characters have their own issues/troubles to overcome but they are always characters who you fall in love with! The 5 books included in this box set are Turning Wheels, Drummer’s Beat, Slick Running, Targeting Dart and Heart Broken.

Turning Wheels
I loved this book so much! Sophie and Wraith’s story was so heart-breaking at times. Wraith was everything I love in an alpha male! Hot, protective, demanding! Oohhh I loved him from the start! I really liked Sophie also, I thought that she was really selfless and I felt for her at times. The chemistry was definitely there between these two as well!! The story was really well written and had a great pace to it! Definitely 5 stars for this one!!

Drummer’s Beat
The second book in this series and it definitely did not disappoint! Drummer and Sam’s story is probably one of my favourites by this author! I was swept up in it straight away and I was really disappointed when it finished! I love the family feel of these MC stories – they are so important to each other and the bond they have is great! They really do protect each other and when you become a lady of an MC Brother you know you are theirs for life! Sam and Drummer may have had their troubles being together but in my opinion they were the perfect match!!

Slick Running
If I could I would totally insert the crying emoji first for this book! What a way to start the third book in this series! Talk about emotional!! Slick is one of those characters that when you start reading about him you really question him and his personality but he’s been hurt and I can kind of understand him but it really didn’t take long for me to fall in love with him just as I have with the other brothers in this MC. Once he realised what had happened to Ella that MC protectiveness took over! The story is really cleverly written as the storyline kind of begins in book 1 (so I highly recommend these are read in order) but the writing is so smooth and seamless that it’s really easy to read.

Targeting Dart
I’m going to be honest that although I absolutely give this 5 stars because the writing is great and the storyline it’s probably my least favourite of all the stories and I can’t really put my finger on why. Maybe I didn’t connect with the characters as much as I wanted or something I’m really not sure but what I do know is as usual the story is excellently written with a great pace and flow. The characters were a little harder to get to know but they were really well developed and I liked to see other characters from previous stories pop up as well. I did like the connection that Dart and Alex had – I just wish that Alex knew how special she was regardless of how she thought she looked!

Heart Broken
This book is aptly named – ‘heartbroken’ – this was definitely me at some point over this story! The story is so beautifully written that it has to be my favourite now! So much pain and grief in this story yet so much hope and love too. Heart and Marc, they shouldn’t even talk to each other let alone help each other out but the connection between them was undeniable! I could feel every emotion that Heart was feeling, the grief and the pain from losing his wife. This story was a real emotional rollercoaster and I absolutely loved it!

Forgotten Chance: Book Three (The Forgotten Trilogy) by Virginia Wine – Review by Katie Matthews

Forgotten Chance: Book Three (Forgotten Trilogy)Forgotten Chance: Book Three by Virginia Wine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forgotten Chance is the wonderful final book in this series – I have absolutely loved Bryer and Nathan’s story so I was really looking forward to seeing what happened in this final book and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Of course I knew there would be a few surprises in the story and the course of true love isn’t plain sailing for these two! Cash appears more in this story than the last and what a character he is!!
I love Ms Wine’s writing style – her stories are so easy to read and I love the characters she creates. I really have loved this series and I would definitely recommend it to others. Forgotten Chance gets 5 stars from me!!

This was such an enjoyable read! I loved the characters and I loved the storyline. I kind of felt that the story had a fairy tale feel to it and it definitely had a lovely magical element to it. The characters I the story have their own issues/problems to overcome and I really enjoyed seeing how they dealt with the issues arising in their lives. Kara was a sweet character; I loved how she thought and how she thought of others and their happiness. I have read books by this author before and I really love her writing style, the magical world she creates comes alive as I’m reading. I would absolutely recommend this book to other readers!

Designing Love (The Calderone Family Romance Series Book 3) by Victoria Grant – Review by Katie Matthews

Designing Love (The Calderone Family Romance Book 3)Designing Love by Victoria Grant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this story! I am fan of many genres but romance is my favourite and this kind of book is right up my street! I loved that it was just so easy to read, I could put it down and pick it up when I needed to knowing I would be right back into it straight away. I thought it was also one of those books that you feel like you’re watching whilst reading – almost like a movie! Although this is the third book in a series it is easily read as a standalone but I will absolutely be reading the first two in the series to find out more about the characters! Ahh Caroline and Charles! Ok so I think it was obvious they were totally meant for each other but I loved their journey whilst realising this! The banter between them was entertaining and I was rooting for them the whole way through!
Designing Love is a wonderful romance read that I would definitely recommend!

Hansel & Gretel (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology – Review by Katie Matthews

Hansel & Gretel: Down the Rabbit HoleHansel & Gretel: Down the Rabbit Hole by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this anthology, it was great to read books from authors I know and also some new to me authors. I really like all of the re-telling of fairy tales at the minute, they make for some very entertaining reading and this anthology contained some really varied subjects also. I really enjoyed CeeCee Elaine’s story – The Surface – I’ve read work by this author previously so it was great to read her work again and considering what is going on in the world at the moment her story about a virus plaguing the land was interesting to read. I also really enjoyed Lorah Jai’s story – Shadows that Move, it was actually a really interesting read and quite realistic at times – mental health is such a huge I always applaud authors for highlighting it in their work.
A really great collection of stories in this anthology – definitely something for everybody!! I highly recommend it!

Eat Me (Mayim Merman Book 1) by Amber Dark – Review by Katie Matthews

Eat Me (Mayim Merman series Book 1)Eat Me by Amber Dark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Eat Me was a short and sexy read and one that I really enjoyed! I actually think I’m in love with Mayim! His sexiness just oozed off the pages from the beginning of the story until the end. I think the blurb for the story was really good actually because I wasn’t expecting some of what happened in the story and it made it far more exciting to read! The authors writing was really good, the erotic nature of the story came through well but wasn’t over the top like I have red in other books, I really felt the connection between the characters. Summer was a great character and I enjoyed reading about her journey!
I 100% recommend this book and I am definitely going to be looking out for more from Amber Dark in the future!!

Not So Far (Love Grows Series Book 3) by Renee Regent – Review by Katie Matthews

Not So Far (Love Grows series, Book 3)Not So Far by Renee Regent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Not So Far is the third book in the Love Grows series and again as with the first two I really enjoyed it. I find Ms Regent’s books so easy to read; they are always enjoyable and have great characters. I really loved Silas and Audrey – I really felt the connection that they had with each other. Audrey was strong and independent and after what happened in the past with Silas I knew she would struggle to build a connection with him again now he is back in her life. I did love reading about their relationship, the high and the lows. They were both really likeable characters and I was rooting for them the whole way through!
I 100% recommend this story and I look forward to more from Ms Regent again in the future!

Forgotten Promise Book two: The Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine – Review by Katie Matthews

Forgotten Promise (Forgotten #2)Forgotten Promise by Virginia Wine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So the second book in this trilogy definitely measured up against the first, it may not have been as full of action however the continuation of Bryer and Nathan’s relationship had be hanging on every turn of the page! There were some twists and turns for them to navigate in this story and I really enjoyed following them. I loved that the story was told from dual POV’s (Bryer and Nathan) my favourite writing style to read and I enjoyed the odd POV from Cash as well! When I first started this book I thought I knew what was going to happen so I loved that the author threw in a character I didn’t expect which took the storyline off on a tangent which was exciting and unexpected! I am definitely looking forward to more from Ms Wine in the future!

How (Stalker Series Book 3) by Megan Mitcham – Review by Katie Matthews

How (Stalker Series, 3)How by Megan Mitcham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow!! I loved the first two books in the series so I was really looking forward to the next one and what a read it was! I was gripped from beginning to end. The author has an amazing ability to drag you into the story straight away and I’m still wondering is this the end or not?!? The twists and turns in the story definitely kept me guessing throughout! Libby was a fantastic female lead! Strong, fierce and determined! I really enjoyed reading about her. I really liked Jake too, not knowing what he was thinking or going to do made for a very exciting read.
The story could be read as a standalone but with overlapping characters from the first two (and because they are also fantastic reads) I would highly recommend they are read in order!
I definitely recommend How as a fantastic 5 star read!

Forgotten Truth (Forgotten #1)Forgotten Truth by Virginia Wine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this book! From beginning to end I was completely captivated. The characters were brilliant – Nathaniel was everything that I wanted him to be and I love Bryer – she was confident, sassy with a slight naivety and defensiveness towards relationships because of her past. They both had a great amount of chemistry and I was rooting for them the whole way through! I had so many emotions whilst reading this story and the author did a really good job with bringing these out in the characters. This author isn’t new to me so I knew I would be in for a good read and I can 100% say this is going to be one fantastic trilogy!
I cannot wait to read the second book in the trilogy!!!

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series Book 4) by Charli B Rose – Review by Katie Matthews

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series, #4)Turn up the Tempo by Charli B. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love rock star romance reads and having read another book from this series I was looking forward to more and I wasn’t disappointed at all! Ms Rose sucked me in from the get go and didn’t let me back out until the very end. I loved everything about this book and would love to go back and read it all again (something I very rarely do!!) I loved Brooks and Brittany! I actually thought that Brittany was a really refreshing character, not a needy one she was happy with the one night stand arrangement as well as Brooks was. They had such a great connection and chemistry that I was always secretly hoping they would end up together and get their happily ever after! I loved the banter between them and their story was highly entertaining!
I would definitely recommend Turn Up The Tempo to other readers!

Torch (Lovelock Book 2) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Katie Matthews

TorchTorch by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Having read the previous book in this series and enjoying I was looking forward to this one and I wasn’t disappointed. The dystopian genre isn’t really one that I read but I found I was really able to get in to this story quite quickly. It was an interesting and intriguing read and with the world currently going through the situation we are the book is actually quite apt – maybe that’s why I felt like I could get into more as I was able to draw some parallels to real life possibly?!? Just hopefully not the vaccine part of the book!! The authors writing is great, she really drags you into the world that she has created and her descriptive language is great – really helps me as a reader build a picture of what I am reading. It was also nice to read a more plot driven story – I felt like I was really into what I was reading rather than thinking about the characters and their development.
Overall a good read, interesting storyline and I would definitely recommend it.

This was such a lovely yet emotional novella, I really enjoyed it and it was also the first book that I have read by this author so it was really nice to discover a new to me author whose work I liked. I will definitely be reading more from her in the future. I completely took Crystal into my heart from the very beginning of the story, she was determined to live her life to the fullest – her story had me laughing and crying at the same time. The dynamic between the characters was brilliant, and for a novella they were so well developed – it was just a fantastic read from beginning to end. I think I might be a little bit in love with Spencer too!
Fantastic read – highly recommend!!!

Finding Leda; the Science of Happiness (Italian College Novel 1, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B Amman – Review by Katie Matthews

Finding Leda, the Science of Happiness (The Italian Saga #5)Finding Leda, the Science of Happiness by Gaia B. Amman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed the new read by Gaia B Amman, having followed Leda through her formative years it was nice to see her moving on in life and what she did. As with previous books Leda’s life isn’t always straight forward and she had a few obstacles in her life to tackle. Again as with the other books by this author the Italian setting for the story was great, I was immersed in the culture that I have begun to love in the other books. The author clearly has taken her time with Leda’s character development and that shines through in the books. A great read and as always I look forward to more from Ms Amman in the future.

Lucifer's Emblem (Celestial Academy, #1)Lucifer’s Emblem by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have read books by these two authors previously so I was really looking forward to reading this one and again I really enjoyed it. I will say it was a much slower pace than I was expecting but I liked that about it – it was slow but didn’t drag. The story was easy to read and follow and I liked that again it wasn’t obvious it was written by dual authors. The one thing I really liked about the story was how original it felt – Lucifer is a well-known character and story so there was a huge risk the story could become cliché but absolutely not! It was a very refreshing read form that point of view. Lucifer’s daughter was a really interesting character and I really enjoyed following her through the story.
Overall a really good read and one I would recommend!

Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn was a really interesting read. I’ve not read many steampunk genre books before but I really like the re-telling’s of fairy tales and other storied from my childhood so I really wanted to give this book a try and I actually really enjoyed it. The writing was great, I like it when dual authors work together and you can’t tell – their writing styles complemented each other perfectly. The characters were great, well thought out and planned and the detail and descriptions were fantastic, I could definitely imagine what I was reading.
Overall I thought that this was a wonderful read, captivating and exciting the whole way through. I would definitely like to read more from these authors again in the future and I absolutely would recommend this book to other readers.

Arrows Tipped with Honey (Natural Forces #2)Arrows Tipped with Honey by Jean Gill
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I remember when I first read book 1 in the series I wasn’t sure I was going to like it – a book about bees – but I was pleasantly surprised so when I saw book 2 I wanted to see where the author was taking the story and again I enjoyed it. It’s still not the type of book I would normally read but I really like the author’s detailed writing, it is very vivid and descriptive. I actually think I enjoyed this story a little more than the first, the characters were great to read about and follow their adventure and the story had quite a few layers to it which I enjoyed. It tied in well to book 1 and definitely answered some of the questions that I had in my head after I had finished it!
A great read that I highly recommend! Book 1 needs to be read first.

Having followed Leda through her coming of age I thought this was a great instalment to this series. As expected the book was well written with lots of cultural information about life and growing up in Italy. The authors descriptive writing has always been a huge plus to this series, you can really imagine some of the beautiful Italian scenery that she is describing. Definitely makes you want to visit! I’ve enjoyed reading about Leda’s journey and all of the secondary characters who have added something to that. Leda has changed so much over the stories and I think especially in this latest one, there’s so much going on in her life and lots that I as a reader could relate too, this definitely makes Leda a character you can connect with.
I have really enjoyed this series and highly recommend it.

Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett

I LOVE this author! I don’t even bother reading the blurbs for her books now I just grab it and read and I have to say out of the many, many books of hers that I’ve read this one is definitely up there with my favourites! I loved every single emotional moment of it. It was an exciting read from the very beginning and I loved Hawk and Olivia! Their story was heartbreakingly beautiful and I felt every emotion that they did. The one thing I love about this author is how she differentiates all of her characters, she has so many but they are all different but there is one thing that she does well with all of them and that is bringing their emotions to the forefront of the story and making you as the reader feel exactly what they characters are feeling. This is one of the many reasons why I will always pick up one of Ms Mellett’s books because I know in going to fall hard for the characters!
Hawk’s Cry is a beautifully written story that I 100% recommend!

All The Wrong Reasons was a really lovely contemporary romance read and one that I really enjoyed. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but I really liked her writing style, the attention to detail in the story was excellent and really made it easy to visualise what I was reading and feel the emotions the characters were putting across. I really loved Alex and Max, they had such a good friendship and I enjoyed reading their story as to whether they could take this to the next level. I have read a few books by this author so I was looking forward to reading this new release form her and it was as I expected, a wonderful story with characters who I loved from the start! I find Ms Paige’s writing such a pleasure to read, the pace and flow of her books is just perfect, I lose myself in her stories easily. I love a brother’s best friend romance- it’s a bit taboo but also usually really romantic and sweet with a bit of passion thrown in! I loved Blair! She was so awesome! Asher was a fab character and I loved what was happening between him and Blair – but I have to say along with the romantic side of this story I absolutely adored the friendship sides to it! Blair and her besties Charli and Blair’s brother Beckett and his friendship with Asher! The connection the friends had with each other was great! I absolutely loved everything about this book! Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Katie Matthews

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)Southern Promises: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have reviewed each of the stories in this box set separately. They were all wonderful reads!

Georgia Clay

Ahhhh this story absolutely stole my heart and ran away with it! This is the first book that I have read by this author and will definitely not be the last. Her writing was so beautiful and I loved every second of this book! If ever a book gave me all the feels it was this one! I don’t think I have rooted for two people as much as I did Clay and Katie for a very long time!!
I really liked Clay; he wasn’t at all like I anticipated when I first started the book. Although he was famous he didn’t have that arrogance that some stars do. I loved the connection between him and Katie. She was really sweet and a little naïve. I absolutely adored the moments between these two characters, I really could feel all of the emotions that they did and that is down to the wonderful writing by the author.
Along with Clay and Katie were some great secondary characters. They really added something extra to the story.

Georgia on my Mind

I loved Hart and Gia’s story, I may not have got into it as quickly as Clay and Katie’s but once I did I was in love and hooked! This author really does create wonderful characters and I love her descriptive writing. I really felt like Hart and Gia were just perfect for each other. I really love this author’s way of creating characters, for me in this story it was Hart! I really felt like I could feel everything he did, I could feel his pain but also his joy at times. I really liked Gia too, I thought that she was a really strong character and I found myself just really wanting the best for her.

Georgia Pine

This book was just wow. I’m not sure I can actually find the words to write this review about this book. I have read the first two books in the series and I loved them, I really did but this one was just outstanding. The author has truly outdone herself, I was hooked from the very first page it was just so beautifully written. The words just flowed seamlessly and it was such an easy effortless read. I really want to read it all over again!
The characters were fantastic, Jessica and Tim were perfect! They had passion, chemistry and a great connection. I kind of loved that it wasn’t all plain sailing and there were some obstacles that they had to overcome because it made me want them to find happiness all the more! Having met Jessica and her four girls in book 2 I was really looking forward to seeing more of them in this book. I wasn’t disappointed with Jessica and Tim’s story at all. There were some twists in the story as I have come to expect from this talented author.

This is a fantastic boxed set and I would 100% recommend it!!

I have been eagerly waiting for the second book in this series to arrive on my kindle – I LOVED book 1 – it was such a riveting and exciting read and I couldn’t wait to see if the author was able to continue that over into the next book and she absolutely did! We met the main character Genevieve in the first book and I was looking forward to finding out more about her! She was an awesome main character! She’s strong, sassy and good at her job as a prosecutor. With her new case a little more personal she is ready to defend her mentor but as expected there were some great twists and turns along the way! I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through with this story! It was yet again another outstanding read from Ms Mitcham! I am so, so looking forward to the next book in the series!

I really like this author so I picked this book to read without reading the blurb, now I am not a fan of m/m books so I wasn’t sure I was going to like the story but I actually really did. I skipped over some of the parts but it didn’t make any difference to my enjoyment of the book. The authors writing as usual is magical and mysterious, she uses wonderful and vivid detail that helps you to imagine what you are reading. There was a good amount of romance and some suspense which really added to the story. I thought the pace and flow as good and the characters were really well developed.
A really good read and one that I would highly recommend!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6)

5 stars

Yet again another wonderful set of 5 star books from this totally amazing author! I love everything about the books that she writes, the characters, the dynamic relationships, the uniqueness of the storylines – I just know that every time I pick up one of her books I will learn something and I am always made to think about what I have read and have an open mind about everything in this world!
In this boxed set we have Badge Bunny, Wedding War and Stage Mom – all in my opinion 5 star reads and well worthy of reading as soon as possible! I loved how all of the stories were completely different – something that I always find with this author. I try not to pick favourites but I absolutely adored Badge Bunny! The main characters Brynne and Chris just had something about them that made me fall in love straight away! The storyline was great, it grabbed my attention straight away, and she knows how to put a mix of humour, romance and serious moments into her stories.
Chris was as I expected out hero to be, a hot, sexy alpha male who is particularly swoon-worthy but with a side that I was totally not expecting which made me love him even more!! Brynne was a great heroine in the story, she was feisty and although she had a little bit of a reputation for being ‘Badge Bunny’ I loved that there was more to her than meets the eye. I thought that they were prefect for each other and was definitely rooting for them the whole way through.

Overall a wonderful boxed set of stories and one that I would recommend you one click today!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Again another really enjoyable book from this author, I really enjoyed the first book so I was looking forward to seeing what the author had to offer in his second instalment and again I was transported to a fantasy land where the writing was richly and vividly detailed. This book picks up where book 1 ended so I definitely recommend they are read in order. I really enjoyed the pace of this story it was quite fast but not too fast that I got lost; my attention was kept from beginning to end. Again the character development was a huge strength for this book, they are well thought out and planned. There were some good plot twists and I liked the story didn’t really go as I thought it would – definitely kept me on my toes!
A fantastic 4 star read that I highly recommend!
