After reading and enjoying the companion book to this story I was excited to read more from this author and she didn’t disappoint. The attention to detail that the author makes really does mean that the book is enjoyable to read, its historical facts are accurate and add an extra depth to the story – it really does help you imagine what is going on whilst you are reading. Whilst this book isn’t my usual genre I have really enjoyed the authors writing. She kept my attention from beginning to end and her characters are wonderful to read about. The Cold War isn’t something I’m particularly knowledgeable about but the author definitely left me feeling like I have gained some new knowledge from reading her story. Overall a great read and one that I would highly recommend.

This was a lovely Christmas read and one that I really enjoyed. I really liked Savannah, I loved that the main lead of the story was a more mature lady – she was so lovely to read about. I really felt for her and her dilemma about how to spend her Christmas when faced with spending it alone. I loved how the author was able to get the emotion of the story across but also still get a little bit of humour in it as well.it was a very easy story to read and one that I would definitely recommend. I also loved the cover – it definitely gave me the Christmas feels!
This was an endearing Christmas read. I really liked that the story was so true to life at the moment, it was great that the author did bring the pandemic into the story because I think it’s definitely something we can all relate to when reading. I liked that the story featured a more mature female lead to, it was nice to read something a little different. The author did a great job with the characters and the storyline. I really liked Carina and I did truly feel sorry for her, I think there may well be readers out there who can totally relate to what has happened to her over the past few years. The author definitely planned and thought her characters out well. Overall a nice read and one that I enjoyed. I have to say and this is something that I don’t normally take any notice of but I absolutely adored the front cover!

Misfortune of Song was another great read from the Druid’s brooch series! I have kind of dipped in and out of the series and haven’t read the books in order however the ones that I have read, including this one, have been really enjoyable reads. I find that I am instantly transported into the imaginative and creative worlds that this author has created. The characters are always well thought out and you find that you can’t help but want to see what happens to them in their story. There is a lot of action in this story which definitely kept my interest from beginning to end. I really enjoy historical fiction so it’s great that I can add this series to my collection of ones that I have enjoyed reading. I would definitely recommend this book and the series, the authors writing is fantastic, very creative and the stories are definitely entertaining. I am definitely looking forward to reading the other books in the series!

This was such a lovely collection of Christmas stories and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Some authors I’ve read before and some were new to me. This was a really nice, well written children’s book. I can imagine that this would really spark the imagination of some young readers especially with the way it’s written. It’s nice and clear, easy to follow and has lovely characters. This is the longest children’s book that I have read by this author and I like that she has introduced chapters for the younger reader, a great way to read a little bit each day. Gwendolyn was a sweet character to read about and the author was so creative when writing about her dreams. A really lovely story I would say aimed at 7-12 year olds!
Oh this was just the cutest story ever! I read it to my 3 year old and he loved it! The story was beautifully written with a wonderful rhyme to it. The illustrations were stunning and really brought the story alive. I loved how it can spark the imagination of young children about where Lucas the cat may go at night, what kind of adventures he might go on. I would definitely say this story is aimed at 5-7 year olds – I can imagine them writing their own Lucas the cat adventure stories! There are talking points at the end of the story along with pictures of the cat behind the inspiration for this story and a few activities for the children to complete! A lovely touch from the author!

How are we book 5 in this series already? I have to say this is fast becoming one of my favourite series – these Vampires are just – well to be honest I don’t even know how to describe them. Each time I read the next book in the series I say it was my favourite until I read the next one that is! Master Catteneo – what a delicious vampire he is! I could have read about him all day and night! I love how the author has had a unique story for all of these vampires, each one different yet equally as amazing! Her writing is just superb and she always has me hanging off every turn of the page waiting to see just what is going to happen next, This book could be read as a standalone but I would HIGHLY recommend starting at the very beginning – you won’t be disappointed!!

Who doesn’t love a forbidden romance – I know I do and I absolutely loved this one!! It was so well written it really was an absolute pleasure to read. The story flowed so well I couldn’t put it down, I needed to keep turning those pages to find out what was going to happen between Devlin and Evelyn! They were fantastic characters to read about – such passion and chemistry between them – I loved them both! I loved that apart from the obvious forbidden relationship part that there was so much more to this story – an absolutely wonderful read and one that I 100% recommend!!

This was a really interesting book to read, it’s so out of my comfort zone but I was looking for something a little different to read and the synopsis grabbed my attention so I thought I would give it a go. I think the first thing I have to say how well the book was written, the author had great attention to detail and I actually imagined what I was reading more than I thought I would – this was a pleasant surprise. I’ve read very few science fiction books so I read this a little slower than my usual books and I was very grateful for the glossary with some of the different terms used in the story – that was really helpful for me as a reader and definitely aided my enjoyment a little more. I think this book would be a huge hit with sci-fi readers – I would definitely recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. The synopsis grabbed my attention straight away as I love historical romance but this seemed have a bit of an added suspense and mystery to it so I couldn’t wait to get started. Laurel was such a wonderful character and for a woman so young she really came across as strong and brave – she really did cope well with everything she had to deal with in the absence of her new husband. The author writes historical romance very well, her descriptive language is great and her attention to detail makes the story very easy to imagine! Overall a great read!

I really enjoyed this book, from beginning to end I was thoroughly entertained. The authors writing was really engaging and my interest was held throughout. I love military romance reads so when I found this one I couldn’t wait to start it and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the characters Pippa and Bryce. I loved their meeting and the definite attraction and passion that was there between them. The author threw in some nice twists to the story. I particularly loved the detail the author went into in some parts – I could definitely imagine what I was reading.

This was a great short read and one that I really enjoyed. The dual point of view is great because it felt like I could really get to know both of the main characters Kendall and Chad. The author really did bring these characters to life, I found them all to be very relatable and realistic at times. I loved Kendall’s Dad – he was a great character and I loved their close relationship. Kendall was certainly tenacious in her quest for the story to save her job and Chad wasn’t going to make it easy for her. I loved them both and was secretly rooting for them the whole way through! A fantastic sports romance that is exceptionally well written! I 100% recommend this story to other readers and in particular the sports romance fans out there!

I really enjoyed this paranormal romance read. The story was engaging from the very beginning and I really liked the characters. I felt like they had a great connection which carried through the story. I’m still relatively new to paranormal stories especially shifter ones so I found that part really interesting to read about. The setting for the story was pretty unique too which added something a little extra to this book. I liked Ryker and Wednesday both were really unique characters to read about. There was a definite attraction between them even if they tried to ignore it! Overall a wonderful story that was beautifully written!

This was a really fun and entertaining read. From the very beginning I felt a great connection with Olivia, she was a really down to earth person just trying to rebuild her life after everything that had happened to her. She was a really relatable person and I felt like this gave the story a realistic feeling to it. The authors writing was great, the book flowed so well it was easy to get lost in it. The characters development over the story was great both the main and secondary ones. Friendship between the characters really shone through in this book and how they all supported Olivia in her new venture. Overall this book was a really great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

Savage Secrets
Yet again another fantastic read from this author. I don’t think I will ever tire of reading her stories they always grab my attention from the first page until the last. There was honestly so much going on in this story I was definitely on the edge of my seat at times. I loved Marco and Elena’s story; it was fantastic to read. I really loved Elena, with everything she had to contend with she showed such strength of character when faced with danger. Marco has this wonderful mafia dark broodiness to him and the fierce protective side which I loved! He’s definitely swoon-worthy!!
Ruthless Heir
What an amazing read but I shouldn’t be surprised considering this author is the Queen of Mafia romance reads!! I loved Luc and Summer’s story and I am definitely going to say this is by far my favourite from this author – everything about it was just perfection! It was exciting to read, the characters grabbed my attention from the very beginning. There was passion and chemistry galore – it was just a phenomenal read – it really was. I was on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion and literally didn’t put the book down once I had started it.
Collateral Damage
Oh what a story! I don’t know how this author does it – every single story she writes is just amazing, nothing is repeated, no two characters are the same and they are always amazing reads! Trey and Hailey’s story was just fantastic from start to finish – it had everything I’ve come to expect from this talented author and more. I’ve been waiting for Trey’s story for a while and it didn’t disappoint. I loved the chemistry between him and Hailey – after everything he’d been through he definitely deserved his happy ever after. I say this a lot but I definitely feel like this one if one of my favourites from this author so far and definitely my favourite form this series!
Rivals
Another fantastic 5 star read from this author! This might be the seventh book in the series but it can be read a standalone however I would highly recommend reading the books in order. This was Mia and Nico’s story and what a story it was! The chemistry was there between these two characters almost instantly but as with all mafia romances things aren’t as simple and clear cut as they are meant to be! I loved that Mia wasn’t your usual naive heroine – she was feisty and happy to stand up for herself! This was a riveting read and one that had me hooked from beginning to end.

I LOVED this story so much! Honestly I think it’s up there with my favourite reads of 2022 and I love that this is also the first book that I have read by this author. This is one of those books that could so easily be turned into a film – I would happily sit and watch this any day of the week! I loved everything about this book, it was funny, emotional, romantic and so much more. I adored the characters both human and furry!!! The story was so much fun to read, it flowed well and it really was just an absolute pleasure to read. This was a wonderful read, one I thoroughly enjoyed and could talk about all day and 100% one that I would recommend to other readers looking for a lovely light-hearted read with wonderful characters!

I think this title of this story pretty much sums up how I feel about this book – I honestly felt like I was trying to breathe underwater whilst reading it. The two authors did a great job with this story, the transition between the two writers was seamless and it was hard to tell that it was not written by just one person, their writing styles gelled really well and the story was really easy to read. I’ll admit at times there was a lot of story going on and I skimmed over a few parts but I still really enjoyed what I read. The characters Damian and Evelyn were great to read about and I am a sucker for a second chance romance and actually what I got was so much more than that. The authors threw in some great twists and turns which meant my interest was kept from beginning to end. Overall a great read and one that I would highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE it when this author comes out with a new book but this time it’s a whole new series and I couldn’t be more excited! I loved this book so much – it was a fantastic read from beginning to end. I loved mafia romance reads especially with a bit of darkness thrown in and this is exactly what I got from this book. Salvatore and Adrianna were fantastic to read about. I’ll admit whilst I found Salvatore to be the hot and powerful don it was Adrianna who I loved – she was so strong willed and it was refreshing to read the female lead who is as strong as she was. I loved seeing their relationship develop, they definitely had the spark there between them from the very beginning! I loved this story and I’m so excited for more to come from this series!

I’m a bit of a sucker for a rockstar romance so when I came across this story I thought I’d give it a go, although it is the fourth book in the series I happily read it as a standalone. Jared was probably the kind of rockstar that I love to read about – you know the type you can’t help but love to hate! You know you really shouldn’t like him but there’s just something in there that’s waiting to come to the surface that’s going to make you love him. Ella was a sweet character and I really liked her. There was so much angst and tension going on in between these two characters, they definitely had that love/hate thing going on. I will definitely be reading the other books in this series and this book has been a great introduction to a new author also!

This was a brilliant read. I’ve read books by this author previously but I think this is definitely my favourite so far. I was completely gripped and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I loved that I felt like I was right in the middle of this crime thriller trying to work out what had happened and who had done what. The author did an amazing job at keeping the suspense going the whole way through the story. This is the second book in the series and I read it easily as a standalone however with how excellent it was and I’m definitely going to grab the first and I’m looking forward to the next book!

This was a wonderful read and I’m so glad I found it. I like a good contemporary romance read and this one was just great to read. I absolutely loved the characters El and Wil – I think I fell in love with them straight away. El was so determined to make her way in her music career and I loved that determination about her. I loved the first meeting between her and Wil.- there was just something about them that made me fall in love with them both straightaway. The authors writing was just wonderful, so seamless and easy to read. I am absolutely looking forward to the next book in this series. I wholeheartedly recommend this book it’s a wonderful read.

What a wonderful story. This may have been book 3 in the series but I easily read it as a standalone however I definitely would love to read the first two as I enjoyed this one so much. I love a forbidden romance read so this was definitely a great book for me, I loved the characters Raf and Ellie, they are the type of characters who you just connect with straightaway and I soon fell in love with them. Alongside the romance there was a nice mystery element going on. I thought the author did a great job with this – this is actually the first book that I have read by this author and I was really impressed with her easy to read writing style and as mentioned earlier I absolutely can’t wait to read more of this series by her.

This was beautifully written and illustrated children’s book. I really enjoyed reading it to my niece and she loved the story. There a few talking points along the way which was great. I love dhow to story helped to express to the children the importance of perseverance and yes whilst some things are difficult to do if you keep trying sometimes you can get through it. In this instance for Moby it was playing the flute. It’s great for children to understand that not everything in life is easy and this book is a fantastic was of getting that message across. A really great story with a great meaning to it.

This was a phenomenal audio book! There was just so much going on in this story that I couldn’t stop listening but also didn’t want to listen for fear of what was going to happen next! I actually really didn’t want this story to end!! The authors writing was just outstanding from beginning to end I was completely hooked. The action was great, the emotion, the danger, the romance, everything was just perfect and I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Rock and Becca were amazing characters and with so many twists and turns in their story I could hardly keep up but I loved the ride that they took me on with their story. Along with the amazing writing the narration of the story was just amazing – both narrators completely brought Rock and Becca’s story to life. Absolutely fantastic audio book and one that I highly recommend.

This was a really nice short read. I’ve read a few books by this author and I love the characters that she creates. They are always relatable and great to read about. I really liked Jules and Mitchel, there was a great chemistry between them – although I will admit it took me a little time to warm up to Jules. The story was quite short and I definitely felt like it could be a little longer and it did feel rushed in parts but overall I still really liked it and would certainly recommend it to others, especially if you’re looking for a short read.

This was a lovely and endearing story and one that I really enjoyed. The author transported me back in time with her beautiful writing and descriptive language. Emma is a great character to read about, so inquisitive for her age. I enjoyed reading about her. The author really does have a wonderful writing style that keeps you engaged the whole way through the book. The characters were well thought out and I think this was really evident with Emma’s character, she was so much more than just your average 16 year old from that time period. She was really refreshing to read about and I loved that about her. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed listening to this audio book. The story was really lovely and I adored the characters. The narrator in particular did a great job of trying to bring the characters to life. I loved listening to Sky and Max’s relationship evolve over the story – they were both really nice characters and I was really rooting for them. I loved Sky’s daughter too, she was sweet and sassy at the same time! There were some great secondary characters too especially Big John! I also think the author did a great job with some of the more sensitive topics addressed in this story!
A great audio book and one I would highly recommend!

These two stories were so cute! I read them to my little boy and although he was probably a little young to understand everything he did sit and listen well. He enjoyed the colourful illustration that accompanied the stories. Again as in previous books by this author the science elements to the story are really great and would definitely intrigue older children scientific minds about Volcanos, what happens to them etc. I found them to be really easy reads that would definitely keep the attention of children probably in the 5-8 years bracket.

I really enjoyed this book and it was a great introduction to a new author as well. I thought the storyline was good, it flowed well and had a great pace to it. I read the book in one sitting as I found it hard to put down. I really liked he characters Kylee and Jayson, both really different characters in terms of their present day life and their past/upbringing but the connection and chemistry they had was undeniable. I really liked the way the author brought them both to life. This was a really good read and one that I would definitely recommend – I will certainly be looking for more to read from this author in the future.
