I really enjoyed this book. I read this as a standalone and it didn’t detract from the story. I was able to get fully captivated by the story without reading the first book.
We are back in Rocky’s life. After losing his dad, his life is set for a big change again when Rocky’s mum informs him she is getting remarried to Ted. Rocky instantly has a dislike to Ted and when suspicious things start to happen Rocky is adamant that Ted is behind it all.
When Rocky leaves for summer camp he is accused of stealing. Once again Rocky believes Ted is behind this. With the help of his friend Olive Rocky now needs to find out what Ted is hiding, why is he causing problems in Rockys life and why he is framing Rocky for stealing. However is Ted behind all this, Rocky needs to find out to save his reputation.

I really loved this romance story. The author does an amazing job of mixing a romance and making it so funny at parts I actually laughed out loud. The author does a great job with her characters. I love Lucie. She is a funny straight talking woman and it’s her personality and attitude which adds the comedy to this book.
The story of Max and Lucie working together to find a key in a fan to save Max’s Royal family is a unique story. The attraction between them is immediate but with Max’s secret about being a prince and the job they have actually hired Lucie to do, could their relationship survive. Will Lucie carry on with this job and not realise her real purpose or will she figure out that Max and his family are just using her in their quest to find a key.

This was is a really interesting read. I loved the mixture of crime and paranormal and how they mixed together to create this unique story.
Jayne has returned to her grandparents house in Whisper Pines. Her job is to clear it out and get it ready the be sold. However that all changes when she finds the home vandalised and the body of a dead young woman outside the property. Jayne promised herself she wouldn’t get involved in this case but with the local sheriff showing no interest in solving the murder Jayne takes it upon herself to get some answers.
She is then taken down a rabbit hole of Witches, Spells and people who can see when death is coming. As her suspect list keeps growing longer Jayne starts to get warned off this case by the Sheriff. But why? What is the Sheriff trying to hide or cover up?
I really enjoyed this romance. It was very sweet and I loved the mixture of city girl and country boy. The character of Stella is great. And her personality as well as Johnny’s playfulness just jumps out of the pages
Stella is a focused confident woman with her eye on the prize(her promotion) in the city however when she moves to the country for the opportunity to run her own branch her life gets turned upside down and inside out. Stella doesn’t have time for romance but that all changes when she meets mechanic Johnny. With his cheeky playful nature she finds herself drawn to him. However Johnny has been hurt in the past and guards his heart. As things look like they are going to work between Stella and Johnny a spanner gets thrown into the works in the form of Johnny’s ex partner, who isn’t too happy about how close Stella and Johnny are getting.

This is the first book in the Born Bad series and wow what a start. I loved it. This book is very dark and I love how the author gets into the mind of our lead character Poppy. She is able to give us an insight into the mind of someone who grew up with her father who was a psychopath. How has his action affected her? And she constantly worries about the question that plagues many criminal psychologists. Are psychopaths born evil? And if they are does Poppy have the same tendencies as her father? Is she a bad person?
With her father in jail for the murder of Poppy’s boyfriend and Poppy now an adult she is trying to move on with her life and recover from her past. However all this could be destroyed when a stranger who is writing a book about her dad turns up and says someone is watching him and he thinks it’s her dad. Will Poppy believe him or will she think he is as paranoid as she is? We are the dragged through a story full of twists and turns as we try to find out who is lurking in the shadows and we learn more secrets that Poppy has kept hidden all her life. The reader will be throughly gripped and this book will get your mind thinking over the same question. Are people born evil?

This is the sequal to Professor Valentine. It is an easy short read and follows on from the first book perfectly. This is a romance between a student and her professor(ex professor now) because of this the story is mainly based around the age gap and all the problems and concerns that arise from that.
We are back with Cassie and Diego 12 months after the last book ended. Cassie and Diego are now living together and are facing challenges that their relationship brings such as people who approve of their relationship and those that don’t. They face challenges such as Cassie trying to complete her degree and Diego dealing with his divorce from his cocaine addicted ex wife. All this puts more pressure on the couple who are still finding their way together. Can they overcome all these additional pressures and views about their relationship or will it be too much for their young relationship.

I really enjoyed reading this romance. Even though it’s a short story it is a complete one in the sense it all flows and makes sense. I also loved the characters and the twist at the end I didn’t see coming.
Kyra is kinda caught between 2 men. Jake who’s a heart throb and ladies man, who claims to share her passion for nature and preserving wildlife and Dylan who is her mentor, who’s life is based around saving the turtles and preserving their life. Her attraction to both men is intense but she is unsure where her heart truelly lies. Add to this story a mystery over who is poaching the turtles eggs and its an adventure which will leave you shocked when the person behind the thefts is revealed.
This is the 3rd book in Her Three Immortals series. And it’s just as good as the first two. Vanessa is back and is happily living life in the Underworld with her new love Grey. Since she helped bring he colour back to his life their heartstrings has grown stronger. She feels like is on the right track until Grey mother interferes.
Grey’s mother transports her back to the Overworld with a mission she has 24 hours to complete. Vanessa needs to get some water from the Waterfall of youth. So now Vanessa finds herself transported back into the home of her first love Raef. The positive is that Vanessa is invisible so doesn’t have to worry about being seen.
What she doesn’t count on is the fact that Aroz and his mother can see her. After she is kidnapped by Aroz things really heat up as Aroz is the god of lust and they have had a connection in the past. Stuck with the god of lust she waits for one of her other lovers to come rescue her. But she maybe waiting a while. How can she be saved when no one knows where she is?
This book is a great read. I love Vanessa’s character. She has such a sassy personality which come through the pages of this story. It was really enjoyable and leaves me wondering which of the 3 immortals I would choose. But why choose if you could keep all 3?

I really enjoyed this book. It had everything I look for in a book, murder, Paranormal and romance. The author does an amazing job at making the story grip the reader from the start and the twists and turns the reader goes through keeps you gripped until the end. The romance is hot and steamy and with descriptions of murder it is def an adult book.
Celina has it all. A perfect home, perfect husband, life couldn’t get much better. Until her husband gets murdered in front of her. After Celina escapes and almost dies herself she is filled with rage and vows the get revenge on the people that killed her husband. Her wish gets answered in the form of a demon. I really enjoyed this college romance. The characters were really well written and the author does a great job of showing you all the fun and stress that comes with college life.
Drew is a popular guy. He is star on the basketball team and from first impressions is your typical jock. Abby is the complete opposite. From first impressions she is a nerd. However both first impressions are completely wrong. When they are teamed up as lab partners Drew thinks she is just the girl he needs to help him pass the course and continue his dream of being a doctor. Abby thinks this is a bad idea. Why should she need to carry a jock.
As time progresses they learn more about each other and their hopes and goals. Their connection becomes strong and Drew starts to realise that Abby could become more of a distraction then he originally thought. Can they build something special together? When they see through the others front to see the real person inside can they help each other achieve their goals and dreams?

This is a beautiful story about a second chance love. The characters are really easy to like and you can’t help wanting their love to succeed. The author does an amazing job of making the reader experience all the emotions that they go through.
Craig and Rachel’s story restarts after they meet at her father’s funeral. Even after all the years that have past their connection is strong. However neither knew what to expect. Would it just be a catch up with old friends or would something be rekindled between them.
They have both grown up since the last time they were together. Rachel has some secrets and scars in her past that could make or break them. Will Craig be strong enough and the man she needs to support her as she faces her demons or will their second chance be over as quickly as it starts?

Swindler’s Revenge by Ellen Butler is the fifth book in the Karina Cardinal Mysteries series and the first one that I have read. Even though I was able to read this as a standalone I feel you would get a better understanding for the characters if the series was read in order. This book is a book that love that grips you from the beginning and doesn’t let go. There are so many twists and turns in here that you can never predict what will happen next and I couldn’t put it down.
When Karina’s Saturday was disturbed by agents looking for her ex boyfriend she is shocked to discover he is wanted in connection of taking $1.2 million from his work. Now he’s gone missing.

I really enjoyed this sport romance. The author does a great job with her characters making them relatable and easy to fall in love with. This story is full of first love, memories and danger which all makes for a gripping read.

This is a beautiful love story. The author does an amazing job of making the characters believable and relatable. The story itself will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions from feeling high and on top of the world to then plunging down into the darkest depths.
Maddie and Adam both have secrets and past failings in their lives which make them the people they are today. But where Maddie tries to see the good in life Adam can only see the negative.
When Adam moved in next door to Maddie he wasn’t looking for romance or a connection. Struggling with his own demons he wanted to shut himself off from the world and never open his heart up to love again. When Maddie meets Adam the chemistry from her is instant however Adam’s attitude and stand off and rude behaviour makes her question her attraction. As time progresses and Maddie slowly works her way into Adam’s heart can they both overcome their pasts to build a happy future or will some demons keep them apart.

This is a great start to the series. I love Mafia romances and this one is definately a great one. The story was easy to read. Some Mafia stories can get confusing with the different families but the author makes the families easy to follow. Liliana is an amazing character. I love her fighting spirit and how strong and determined she is to save herself. Max is your typical alpha who is out to regain what was taken away from him by destroying the people in his way and protecting the people he loves.
Liliana is the daughter of the Mafia boss Benito. Even though she looks and acts like a proper Mafia princess the reality is much different. All she is to her father is a possession, something he can use to get what he wants out of life. Liliana is desperate to leave and get out from under her father’s rule but her only hope is to change one guilded cage for another by marrying someone her father chooses.
Max has been sent in undercover by Liliana’s grandfather. His mission is to get Liliana away from her father and keep her safe. Hopefully taking down her dad’s drug business in the process so that he can regain what should be rightfully his. What Max didn’t expect was to fall for the Mafia princess. Now he had a problem can he keep his cool and stop himself from showing his feelings while at the same time protecting her from danger? Or will his cover be blown resulting in putting himself and Lilian in danger.

I really enjoyed this story. It was exciting and captivating from the first page to the last. I loved the romance element. How two people fall in love when they really shouldn’t. The author does an amazing job bring the characters to life. Princess Rowan is a great character. I like her because she is headstrong and very strong willed. She has a great sense of humour which comes through the pages.
Princess Rowan is a risk taker and when she takes a risk, her and her cousin end up getting captured by a rival clan. Now facing the realisation that she may lose her life she plans to enjoy the time she has left. What she doesn’t expect is to fall on love with a man from this rival clan.
Unable to deny their feelings they have some problems to cover come. Namely will this clan ever accept Rowan as one of their own or will the union between the couple start off another war between both sides or could it finally be the things to bring the sides together and for peace?

This is a really good Sci fi adventure. The author does an amazing job of making the story seem so realistic that you could imagine it actually happening. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I love how the author mixed a scifi story with current events happening in the world. It makes the story more realistic and relatable.
Plant earth is slowly being destroyed with terrorists, disease and global warming. Things on Earth are going from bad to worse. So when a group of 6 aliens land on the shore of Jamaica how are the people of Earth going to react. Are we going to embrace the new arrivals or is fear going to get the best of us and we end up destroying them as well. The aliens now have to learn to live in a world that is strange to them all the while protecting themselves from being hunted by the people that they had come to learn from and help.
This books is really good as it is so relevant and uses things that are happening currently such as pandemics and global warming. It also plays on people’s theories and fears and makes us ask the question how would we react if we knew for certain we weren’t the only living beings. That other living beings lived on other planets.

This was a really interesting story. It will keep you gripped from beginning to end and is full of twists and turns. I like how at the beginning of the story we get introduced to each individual character and find out how they work and fit into this town.
Warrentown is a small place with very few residents left. The ones that are left are getting old and are struggling to live each day and survive in their town. The town is watched over by Rachel the owner of Raven’s Tavern. However Racheal isn’t what she appears to be and when a group of people from the local militia come into the town the residents start to panic. Some of them aren’t exactly doing things that are legal and some of them aren’t even human residents.
You are taken on a story through a dying town and the struggles of it residents. You also learn about community and connection when they are faced with an enemy which threatens their way of life. This book is a good supernatural story which touches on elements of our life today.

This is the 2nd book in the DAG series. It is a story filled with danger and suspense but also a romance element which works well and keeps the reader hooked. I love the leading lady Amy. She has had a tough past which has made her this hard hitting, straight talking fiesty woman that she is today.
Amy is sent undercover to help a charity uncover who is using them to illegal substances around the world. The owner of the charity is Hugh Bainbridge IV. Hugh is a lawyer who helps people who have fallen between the cracks of the law system. He is a hardworking man who is fighting for the people unable to fight for themselves. Amy and Hugh seem like a perfect match and their connection is special however, when Amy realises the person beind the crime is the same people who destroyed her sisters life she is sent on getting revenge. Now Amy has a decision to make, finally get her revenge for her lost sister, or do her job and progress her relationship with Hugh. Which will she choose?

This book contains 2 stories and both if them are steamy romances. The author does an amazing job at bringing the chemistry and passion between the couples alive through these pages.
The first book is about a young woman who had her heart broken by her ex. Trying to rediscover who she is, she acts on her attraction to her best friends dad. She has been attracted to him for years and now she wants to see if the reality matches her dreams. The chemistry and attraction between them is very hot and the passion makes for a very steamy encounter.
The second story is about a couple who had a night together at prom. The next day Sarah left. Years later after an abusive relationship Alex decides he’s going to find his first love. This story is different from the first story because both Sarah and Alex even though their feelings for each other are the same both are scared they will be rejected by the other. So their passion is slower to build but just as special and magical when it happens.

This is the 5th book in A Backyard Farming Mystery Series and the first book I have read. Even though I was able to still read and enjoy the book as a standalone I feel if I had read the others it would have given me a better understanding of the characters in this story.
Anne is now taking on the job of helping people plot and design their gardens. She meets with a gardening club to share her ideas. The club president Billie is very poorly with cancer and when she dies no one thinks anything is wrong. However Anne isn’t so sure that Billie’s death was natural. With secrets, lies and deceit in the small town could Billie’s death actually be a murder and if so who could have done it?
This is a really light hearted cosy mystery which is enjoyable to read but has enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and hooked till the end. The main question is will Anne be able to untangle all these webs and finally discover the truth?

This is the second book in the series. These can be read on their own however I think if I had read the first one it would have made the character and their back story easier to understand. This didn’t take anything away from the book and I still really enjoyed it. Our heroine Emma is now 18 years old and has grown into a strong independent woman. She is very determined and will stop at nothing to solve her case. Even when her safety is in danger Emma still pushes on until her case is closed.
Now Emma is older she also has to deal with matters of the heart and romance which all adds up to make the story interesting and makes the read wanting to read more. I am looking forward to reading more about Emma and her family and friends and also the next adventure and Mysteries she will solve.
This is a beautiful and emotional story. As a parent it really tugs at my heart to imagine the pain that Betty goes through and also the pain and confusion Marlena goes through.
Betty and her boyfriend are madly in love and are planning to get married. However when Betty finds out she is pregnant her parents put into action a plan which will change all there lives for ever. This is the 1950’s and a child out of wedlock and at a young age is frowned upon. So against Betty’s wishes she is placed in a school for naughty girls and when her baby is born she gives her up for adoption.
No fast forward to 1980s and Marlena is living her life. She has it all. A loving partner who she plans on marrying, a job she loves as a midwife and loving parents.
When her father is taken ill and needs a kidney transplant Marlena doesn’t hesitate to volunteer to be tested. That’s when her parents drop the bomb shell and destroy her world. Her parents are her adoptive parents not her biological ones. Now Marlena is on a mission to find her real parents and learn their story. Will Marlena be able to find them or will she be too late to get the answers she is looking for.

These was a great boxset. I really enjoyed all these books and how they are a progression following our main character Marcy.
Book one is Rage. This was a whirlwind story following Marcy as she deals with the uncontrollable rage she suffers with the world. Why does she feel this way? What has turned her into this angry person? With her rage overtaking her life and her risking losing her friends and her boyfriend she knows she needs to get help. Through her rage she comes to the attention of Liam. Liam sees something in Marcy and believes she is what he needs for his mission to get revenge on his families killers. This connection between them takes them on a journey neither expect.
Book 2 is Confusion. This is the perfect title for this book as Marcy is in a constant state of confusion over who she should be with. So she had relationships with both Brad and Liam. Both men love her in different ways but how long will they be willing to share her. And when that time comes can she choose between them. Add to this the secrets and revelations that keep showing up about Marcy’s past. She knows if she shares her past she can start to heal. But she is unsure whether or not to do that. Brad and Liam both have their own problems and confusion as well with keeps this story gripping and keeps the reader turning pages.
Book 3 is Agony and Ecstay. This book follows on from book 2 pretty much straight away which means the story flows seamlessly. We are back with Marcy. Still torn between Bard and Liam, she is now engaged to Liam. However she can’t deny her feelings for Brad. When will the crunch time come for her to make a decision once and for all about who she will be with. I can’t really say much without giving the story away. What I will say is that the truth behind Marcys nightmares comes to light, revenge is finally met and secrets are revealed which could blow Liam and Marcy’s relationshop apart and send her running back to Brad.
This book set has been an enjoyable journey from the start and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series to fully complete the journey.

I really enjoyed this story. The author does an amazing job of keeping the reader gripped by making the story engaging and eventful. The main character Liz and her daughter have gone through a lot but the author makes their bond and how close they are shine throughout the story.
After Liz ex husband Gerry is arrested for money laundering it turns Liz’s life upside down. Now being tarred with the same brush as him she can’t go anywhere without people stopping and staring. So she decides to get away for a while and with her daughter then head to Red River. This is where Liz’s story really starts when she finds out her old boyfriend is the Marshall of the town. The old flame reignites between them but with Liz’s past bringing danger to the quiet town can they survive it. The romance in this story gets steamy to a point then stops which keeps you wanting more. I would love to see how Liz and Matt story progresses.

I really enjoyed these cosy Mysteries. They are easy to read and out librarian turned investigator Sunshine really brings them stories to live with her sweet but inquisitive nature once she has the bit between her teeth she doesn’t let go until the mystery is solved. There are 3 books in this boxset and each one is unique. All of the books can be read as a standalone however if you read them in order you get a better sense of the characters. Mainly our leading lady Sunshine.
All 3 mysteries are cosy mysteries which mean they are easy to read and don’t contain anything in them that could be offensive to readers. So if you like mysteries then they are ideal. These books are full of twists and turns and secrets that will be revealed.
Through the series we see Sunshine grown and become more confident in her ability as an investigator and its nice to see her confidence grow as she figures out and solves each case. I’m looking forward to reading more from this series.
This is the 2nd book in the Men of Syn series. I really love these books. I love the dark gripping side along with the romance which catches you by surprise. The characters are really well written and your opinion of them changes as the book progresses.
Caine is running away from his life in D.C. After his father is found murdered and he becomes prime suspect. He runs to his mate Hawke who gives him somewhere to work and lay low while he tries to solve the murder of his father. While he’s there he meets Emery. Emery is a princess who lives off her daddy. She thinks she’s above people and her attitude stinks. Emery thinks she has her life sorted until her dad is arrested for drug trafficking charges and all his assets frozen. Now Emery is homeless and broke and the person she turns to is Caine. What starts out as a way to distract herself and give her a bed for the night becomes so much more as the couple get to know one another and their relationship grows.
However things aren’t that straight forward and when Caine realises the connection between his fathers murder and Emery’s father’s incarceration they need to work together to solve the cases.
This story is gripping and a real page turner. You want the couple to be together and happy however sometimes the skeletons that are coming out could be to much for the couple to bear.

I really enjoyed this story. Even though its not a big book the story is complete. It is full of a complete love from the moment that Brody and Willa meet. The connection between them is instant. Brody is a famous actor and when Willa says she wants to know the real Brody that makes him instantly fall in love with her.
However things are always plain sailing with Willa’s ex and Brody’s assistant plotting against them to destroy their relationship can Willa and Brody see through their lies and keep their relationship strong. Or will something push them apart.

Well where to start with this book. This book has had me in tears of sadness and tears of joy. It is a moving story about a group of people who are brought together because they are dying and are living their one final wish. The characters range from old to young and they each have a story to tell. One of the characters Charlotte isn’t dying at least not from a illness like the rest of them. Charlotte has an illness that is not talked about much and often goes unseen behind smiles and great acting. After losing the love of her life Charlotte has suffered with depression and has found no way to get herself out of its grips.
This story is really eye opening in the sense that although it is a story about people who are dying it is also a story about life and how you should live everyday like your last so when your time comes you have no regrets.
Every person including the man running the show Jimmy Dire, all have secrets that get reveled throughout this story. Its definately a book you won’t be able to put down as you take these journeys with each character.

This is the 4th book in the Dark Spells series. I have enjoyed all these books but this one is really special.
This book is proof that people aren’t always what they seem and that some life event makes them the way they are.
This book goes back to when Isra goes to Wingdom’s Academy to learn all about her gifts as a witch. This is a side of Isra we haven’t seen before when she is sweet, innocent and good. Isra is only has good in her heart and even though she’s not very social she makes friends with Everilda.
However the friendship turns nasty when Irsa finds herself involved in a love triangle with Everilda and Johnathan. Everilda knows about Isra’s feelings for Johnathan but she still pursues him. Feeling hurt and betrayed by the 2 people she cares for and trusts this is the turning point where Isra goes from good to dark.
Meanwhile Isra is being watched as she is part of a prophecy. Does Isra need to remain good or is that the main reason for her turning to the dark side.
This book is full of adventure and betrayal. It also answers a lot of questions about what made Isra the way she is
