This book kept me on the edge of my seat, a real page turner, I could not put it down. A little girl named Tally started off with a very sad start, but her mother left her something special. She found courage and bravery to keep going. Tally and her dad went off to India for his work. A time when children were going missing like crazy, Tally finds herself in the middle of all the chaos to find and end this. With the strength to stand up, and with the encouraging words of her angel, some even called her an angel. This book was very good and would recommend it to anyone that loves reading, packed with page turning advents and a little girl that finds a place to call home.

Mornin The Super Bird : Mornin Finds a Way to Stop Extinction is an excellent book and a great way to teach kids about extinction and how to stop it. Mornin is the main character in this little book. You follow along with him to find out why birds are missing and how come. I love this little book because it makes things simpler for kids to understand and comprehend. It’s filled full of facts about different things and it is very interesting and engaging.

This is a simply adorable picture book for kids with lots of fun illustrations and songs. I really liked that it showed children how they can make an impact, no matter what their age. If a cardinal can do it, so can a small child! It described some of the problems with hunting and deforestation, and how education and activism is important for all of us to take part in. It gave lots of concrete steps that kids could take to help the planet and their cute animal friends. And it can be fun! An excellent read for littles to teach them about helping our planet in a way that isn’t scary or overwhelming. Definitely recommend.

What a great children’s book! Morning the super bird has such a big heart. When he sees the problem of extinction he doesn’t just sit there and get mad, he gets others involved. This book is a great way to show kids you don’t have to be a grown up to help when they see something wrong in the world. Empowering our children to believe that their actions are important is the first step to changing the world.

I loved this book! It was a very cute and educational way to teach children ways to help the earth by playing to their love of animals. I myself am a bird lover, especially owls, so even though I am an adult I enjoyed it.
Its about a young bird named Mornin who decides to tape his flying adventures. He comes across sculptures of birds that no longer exist and is determined to make sure it doesn’t happen again. He gathers up all his animal friends and passes on his findings. The book then gives children ways to help make sure that the birds stay safe.
I would definitely recommend this read to anyone with kids!

Mornin the Super Bird: Mornin Finds a Way to Stop Extinction is such a cute book and the illustrations are to die for. I was able to read this book to my granddaughter, who just fell in love with Mornin and the quest to stop extinction. I think it was a great way to show how all species and living beings can and should work together to save species from going extinct. Mornin is such a sweet character and really inspired my granddaughter to do better in her treatment of all living things. I am in love with this book and the author. It is so important that children learn to work together for a greater cause and this book provides the inspiration to do just that. What a great lesson to learn in such a cute and easy to understand way.

I look forward to reading this book to my grandchildren. This story features Mornin, The Super Bird, as he flies around taking videos. One of his videos is of statues of extinct birds and other animals. When he showed it to his friend they decided to get the information out to everyone. This story is filled with hints about saving the world. I would definitely recommend everyone read this book to children of all ages.

Awwww this was such a sweet book. I really had fun reading this to my son. It isn’t just a storybook but a great lesson to teach your kids. The illustration is also absolutely amazing. The story is colourfully illustrated, and it will draw them in with pictures and song and give them some tools to help the planet. Mornin is a sweet hearted bird, who is on an adventure to fix and educate others about extinction and environmental issues and how to help along the way. It truly is an educational story, and the author provides links etc to further inform you. This wonderful tale will keep not only children but adults alike thinking about long after you have finished it. What a great book! And the illustrations, blew me away! So bright and vibrant my kids loved to see all the animals. The story itself is a great message too, we could all use a reminder to be better about leaving places we visit better than when we arrived and to keep it clean and green for future generations.

I read this story to my three daughters and they loved it! I also enjoyed it and thought it was really cute and I loved the messaage that it sends. This world needs protecting and its up to everyone to help keep it safe from harm. Wonderful book!

This was a very sweet story about a bird that is trying to help save all of the bird species from extinction. This book gives children some perspective on the need to save our planet for future generations and keep our animal populations alive at all costs. Mornin begins his journey when he comes across statues of birds that no longer exist and the possibility of his own species becoming extinct becomes very real for him. With the help of his friends and family he is able to bring awareness to the situation and get his word out. This is a great read for young children.

Tally and the Angel is the first book in the India series by Eleanor Dixon and is a book for kids 8-12 and family. Eleanor has beautifully written this paranormal fantasy tale and it will be liked by young and old. It is easy to picture the world and characters that Eleanor has woven due to her vivid writings, and you will be delightfully drawn into solving the mystery along with a brave little girl, Tally. This little gem is centred around Tally who is 13 years old and on a trip to India with a very special necklace. She soon finds herself in the midst of a mystery and sets out to help.

Mornin, the Super Bird, is out to share the message about extinction and saving nature. Mornin takes daily flights and videos of things he sees. When he notices that animals and nature are becoming extinct, he creates videos to share with his bird friends. After a while, they begin to spread the word, through these videos, to other animals and then to humans.
The writing is easy to understand. It includes lines of poetry and sing-song lyrics. It is a wonderful book to read to young children to help them understand what extinction is and how they can do their part to stop the spread.

This was truly a heartfelt story and beautifully written. I personally loved the story the background, the characters and how the story progressed.
Reading this I found it very touching and sweet as well as a book to shine light even for those of us who are facing the darkest times of our life.
The girl in the story who is named Tally, had recently lost someone very close to her and though she knew she needed to be strong in spirit, you could tell a heavy weight was being carried in her heart. (I had a strong relation to this as I too just suffered a great loss in my life and reading about Tally I often taught to myself that is how I feel…its hard, really hard, but you have to be strong and keep going on even if you don’t know what you are going to face next because things feel so unknown.)
Through a surprise and yet beautiful inheritance of this necklace from her late mother, whom was the loss she was had recently experienced and was working though. I felt upon reading that Tally was immediately drawn to it. At that time there were reasons unknown. Further reading, I learned as well as Tally did that it contained a wonderful gift, an angel whom had the name of Jophiel.
Right away I got the sense of there’s a reason to why Tally has an angel. But what was the reasons for this? I had to continue on to learn more.
Continuing on Tally realized she had to face a great adventure and she was basically destined for this task. There was an issue of the people and children of India being in undergoing danger. And Tally knew in her heart she had to help them and not stand by and allow this. Things happen for a reason and Tally felt she was chosen for this path as well as adventure and she wasn’t going to let anything stop her from finishing her chosen role.
More reading, you could see how Strong of a character Tally was and is! She had to face dangers and uncertainty. There was powerful moments in the journey of the adventure Tally faced with Jophiel. Tally was and is a character that is very commendable and able to be a great role model for young children. Not only did she have to go thru grief, but also take on a task that was not only dangerous, but it was also a task not knowing what the true outcome would be. There was basically many tests and positive and negative occurrences that Tally and Jophiel faced. They did what they had to do in the end.
All in all, this was a beautiful and well written story. It was a impact and a great read, and I truly enjoyed this story from start to finish. I look forward very much to the next part. I will defiantly be getting a copy to read for myself.

This is a sweet moving story perfect for young readers. It is full of love and hope but it is also action packed.
I loved the mixture of angels and gods and the war against good and evil. The fact that Tally had an angel by her side but still had to find a way to overcome her obstacles on her own is a good lesson to teach children.
The story itself is great, full of action and adventure with some heartwarming moments. I really enjoyed it.

Tally is a thirteen year old girl who has just lost her mother, she is distraught even though she knew it was coming and her dad feels the same, but when he talks about a future without her, what he describes seems like the worse thing that could happen to Tally, he wants to leave her behind as a boarding student at her school, but she end up telling him exactly how awful it is there and why, she held back before so she wouldn’t worry her mum, so when she asks her dad to take her with him, he agrees to consider it. After this conversation, he gives her a letter and a gift from her mum, in the letter Tally’s mum tells her about what is in the box, it turns out that it is a pendant of the Angel Jophiel and that it will protect and guide her throughout her life until it is ready to be passed to someone else as it has been passed to her. All Tally wants to do is cry herself to sleep, but she is drawn to the small marble angel which looks so real, so she slips it over her head as she falls asleep and feels like she is surrounded by feathers as she sleeps.
As the time passes and she gets used to the idea of her changed circumstances, her dad tells her that she can go with him on his travels and continue her schoolwork as they go, he then tells her that he has been asked to go to India to help a colleague out and that they will leave in the morning, so Tally heads to her room to pack. As she is doing this, he thoughts go to her school friends and how she wants to rub it is]n that she doesn’t have to go to school anymore, it is at this point that the Angel Jophiel begins to talk to her and adminish her for her thoughts and this is where their companionship and friendship start, he will answer whenever she calls to him, be in out loud or in her head and he will support and guide her as she explores the world with her dad.
Once all the arrangement are made, Tally and her dad set off for India, it is Tally’s first time flying and she is more than excited and this stays that way when they land, they are met at the airport and taken to the house they will be staying in, this is where Tally meets her dad’s friend and the lady who will be looking after them. After she unpacks, Tally walks round the garden and as she is talking to her Angel, she runs into a boy called Balvan who she talks to and invites to meet her dad when she mentions going to the Taj Mahal the next day. As the four talk, they find out about a case the local police are working on surrounding children going missing around India, so they are warned to take care and not go anywhere by themselves, but Tally is fine with this and agrees to it.
The next few days are taken up with schoolwork in the mornings and sightseeing in the afternoons, however, when she becomes embroiled in the mystery of the disappearing children, will she and Jophiel be able to solve the mystery in time to stop the plot, or will it be too late and the flood bear down on India? This is a charming tale of friendship and how it can heal hearts, as well as having a healthy dose of mystery solving which will keep you entertained all the way through.

I wish I had this book years ago when our special needs journey started. Its very isolating and all you want is someone in your corner saying you are doing everything you are supposed to be doing and no ones path is exactly the same. As a mother of a special needs child this hit home and gave a voice to thoughts ive had for 13 years. Reading about her and her daughters journey felt like talking with a friend. I recommend this to anyone even if you dont have this journey to walk yourself, chances are you know someone or you will and this helps open your eyes to many things we go through and how you can just be there

Mornin is worried when he sees statues of birds that have gone extinct. He takes the initiative to get everyone trying to save the birds and other animals from going extinct. He really is a superbird because he uses his talent for making videos and spreads them out to everyone which gets all the boys and girls learning by asking questions “how can they help.” The author makes this a fun book for kids about saving the birds and animals. We can help by limiting use of plastics, recycling, less auto use and many other ways. This book can be a really fun conversation starter with your kids to help open their little minds as they learn. Mornin is a fun character that brings learning about the environment to life.

This book had me with just the title till you tune into what’s being written within the book. Once you learn to take in all the knowledge from the doctor but also apply it to your daily life. The detail-oriented lessons from life and approaching special needs is very helpful and gives the reader a better understanding for the way we treat special needs children or just special needs in general. This book is impressive and incredibly written for readers and parents alike.

Tally and the Angel: Book One India by Eleanor Dixon is a fun and entertaining fantasy story. I would say this book is intended for younger audiences but has been well written enough than it will appeal to more. I really enjoyed reading about Tally and the Angel. Their friendship was so heartwarming and felt to me like the whole book was built around this. Their journey felt real and engaging. I was drawn into their story and enjoyed every step of it. This is a new author to me but I really got on with her writing style. It had an easy flow to it and I found it really easy to get into. This was a great book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

A child should never have to lose their mother at such a young age. Tally is a strong young girl that receives pendant that has an angel living inside of it and it changes Tally’s life. Tally ends up leaving her school and her dad takes her to India to give her more experience then inside the four walls of her school. Tallys journey is such a wild adventure that she gets into some crazy predicaments but with the help of her angel she can get through anything. Cant she? Will she save all the kidnaped children? Dixon has a very enjoyable writing style and I cant wait to get my hands on the next book.

Tally and the Angel: Book One India by Eleanor Dixon. This is such a good children’s book. Its the story of Tally who has lost her mom. She was given a necklace from her mom before she passed away with an angel on it. Tally is very young to have lost her mom so this necklace becomes very important to her. It actually has a real angel living in it named Jophiel. On top of losing her mom, her dad takes her out of her school and moves her to India to give her a broader view of the world. Tally seems to be magnet for trouble so Jophiel tries to keep her on the straight and narrow path. This is such a wonderful, cute, kid friendly book that will have children and adults engaged in the message of fighting extinction. Not just that it is happening but ways to change our behaviors and improve how we take care of the planet. This is a beautifully written and illustrated children’s book with an easy storyline to follow and bright colors that draw the eye in. Mornin works hard to not only engage other birds but kids as well. It allows kids the confidence to start a conversation of change and moving forward. That though they be little they are mighty. This would be a wonderful book for children’s groups looking at a service project to complete like with scouts or youth groups, but really any child. Small changes can lead to big impact!

Tally and the Angel by Eleanor Dixon is a brilliant book for younger and older readers alike! When our protagonist, Tally, finds a piece of jewelry that once belonged to her mother, she realizes that it is actually a home for the angel Jophiel. With Jophiel’s help, Tally embarks upon adventures solving problems with her new best friend. Tally is a great character for young readers to love as she displays intelligence and tenacity along her missions. The author’s descriptions of India are magical. I very much recommend this book and will be adding it to my daughter’s collection for her to enjoy as she grows. This is the second book I have read from this author, and she hasn’t disappointed me yet. 4 out of 5 stars.

This is a wonderful book that drew me in from the first page. I literally couldn’t put it down because it was such a good story. It’s a story that a lot of children can relate to. I thought that the main character showed such a strong, tough, and persevering disposition you couldn’t help but love her and root for her. She’s certainly a role model for many young kids. Adults as well. She has quite the fighter spirit and despite all the obstacles she faces she doesn’t back down. I highly recommend you pick this book up for your children. It’s a wonderful story with a beautiful adventure.

Lighting the Path: Leaning into a Hopeful Future as a Special Needs Parent is a wonderful yet very emotional book that broke my heart . As a care giver or even a parent of a special needs child there are many circumstances you face. This author gives us incredible insight and suggestions on how to handle them. Sometimes we find ourselves feeling very overwhelmed with dealing with situations this book gives helpful information on how to handle them as well. You can feel how much love and pain this author went through with every page of this book. I pretty much used a box of kleenex as my emotions were extremely high. God Bless all parents and care givers along with anyone who is involved in the caring for a child/ adult of a special needs. It’s the hardest yet most rewarding job you will ever face. This author made it easy to understand as she experienced everything she wrote about . So rather you have a special needs child or you know someone who does I highly recommend reading this book.
