My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved book 1 and book 2 did not disappoint! Ellie is a wonderful character and I adore her quirky ways. Book 2 we see as she hosts a cat show for her rescues and of course no show is complete without a murder a foot! I had my favorite blanket and my thinking cap to try and solve this feline mystery! Ellie and Detective Simon make a great team and the mystery was a great whodunit!

The Prisoner of Paradise (Painted Souls, #1)The Prisoner of Paradise by Rob Samborn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was like nothing I have read before. It’s a passionate, haunting, mysterious, thrilling suspenseful tale with so much what if attached. The anticipation and twists were unpredictable. Nick and Julia were amazing. The story itself was front seat to explore history, religion, and faith. It was hard to put down and was pure excitement every step of the way!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was such a fascinating story. It was more than witches and magic. Hester gave such life to the story with her determination and independence. Her desire to follow her fate and heed her calling was refreshing. The nymphs and river Sabrina believed she was meant for more and it was not to be ignored. Aaron was the mysterious stranger who would teach her the lore, and he would wear many hats within his time with Hester. Together this is fantastic story of fantasy, love, faith, forgiveness, and strength.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A sweet novella with a city girl and a hot cowboy! I love this author and the way she transports us into her world with her characters each book.
Jules and Mitchel were opposites attract in the best way. This book gave steamy chemistry, charm, humor, love, and the message of love where you least expect it. I liked the push and pull with Jules and Mitchel and watching them come together pushing down obstacles. Short but sweet and definitely a book to read again.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love the mix of all the modern day Cinderella tales! Some are sweet and some are spicy! This is a teenage semi-sweet version with lots of chemistry and angst. Ashley and Harry are great together, and it’s a cute retell.
Every Cinderella has her day and this Ashley’s. It’s quite the wild ride, but lovable all the same!!

Master RomanoMaster Romano by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series!! The men and leading ladies give every story such life, and who doesn’t love a good vampire story. The Consulate is still set in their way or no way and are hell bent on fellow Vampires carrying out demands. Romano and Raven have chemistry that’s beyond Lust, but the vampire and witch thing doesn’t sit well on any end in this world. As tensions high and loyalty vs love comes to play we see just how true a mate bond can be.

Ashali and the Blue Horseman by Jordan Elizabeth – Review by Lauren West

I adored this book!  Such a fun read for me, and I even got my 12 year old to enjoy it!! Superhero’s, danger, Sci-Fi, a little romance, and of course drama!

Young girls on spring break! Boy meets girl and they have chemistry. They attempt to get to know each other and hang out…. And then next thing you know girl goes missing! Who comes to save the day??

Ashali and Jace were a lot of fun together. Jace was that gorgeous boy by day and superhero by night. Ashali is smart and cute with some secrets of her own. When Ashali is taken she proves to be no damsel in need of a knight…. From there our superhero adventure begins!

Hard Lover (Houston After Dark #2)Hard Lover by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nothing hits the spot like suspense and spice! Noah leaves little to the imagination and makes it all full reality. The chemistry and attraction radiated through the pages, and I was on edge waiting for what was next. Callie felt like the girl next door , but innocent by no means. Noah was pure sex on legs and no one trick pony. Noah and Callie together were hot !! One week was never possible because you could only see them together for a lifetime. Amazing and fun read!

Dragonslayer Dragon Heart (Dragon Heart Book 1) Audiobook by Isobelle Cate – Review by Lauren West

The story teller makes the story and the narrator for this audiobook is proof of that. A smooth, mellow, and enchanting voice flowed chapter by chapter and I enjoyed listening. I loved the story of Apollo and Orelle. You could feel the intensity of their chemistry and attraction beyond the fated pull between them. Tensions are high as they both harbor the secrets that link them. Apollo is determined to regain his soul… but he has to go through Orelle to reclaim it. Has the dragon met her slayer, and will fate determine otherwise?

Everyone loves a good mystery, and this book is one of those. I am coming in late but excited about playing catch-up. Logan was an exciting and delightful character. Finding a calling by volunteering at the bird sanctuary she appears to be acclimating to her new life, and marriage. When she stumbled upon a murder, she becomes her own detective and starts a hunt for the killer. The further she investigates is when things pick up as she herself becomes a target. There is drama, danger, humor, and an all-around lovable story.

Blood Sector (V-Clan #1)Blood Sector by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love a good fated mate/Shifter story. Action, suspense, supernatural beings, and oh soo much spice!
I enjoyed this book and our MC. Kieran was easily pictured as the sexy Alpha Male King who was loyal and fierce. He was also strong and dominant, but a man very much in love with his chosen mate. She was truly his queen. and despite the chase she gave him he caught her in the end. Quinn had many secrets and while she feared the lack of approval with her people she was determined to win over the kingdoms trust as well as her mate. This was a great read, and I will be picking up other books from this author again!

Thief (Popov Bratva Book 4) by Leslie Georgeson – Review by Lauren West

Thief (Popov Bratva #4)Thief by Leslie Georgeson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Every good thing said about this book is true! The drama, angst, sexual tension, and danger were only a few of the highlights. All of the sexy Bratva bad boys left an impression and I officially have already backtracked to book 1 to experience where it all began.
Dom was sexy and together he and Leah were just pure fire. I loved how protective he was of Leah, but I also loved Leah’s fierce and strength. They are both terrified of relationships and where things can lead, but the overall need to be together causes them to both give in. This story was a great read!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

YA fantasy books are becoming some of the best books around! The characters are so very well developed and unique. This year alone I have found such wonderful YA books, and this is yet again another. Pick it up and be prepared to be amazed when you are not able to put it down.
Lisette was such a fierce and out of the box type FMC. A true anti-hero, and the first female one for me. The death of her father left her in a bad way due to the magic he possessed never being passed down to her. She was determine to make her way no matter the cost, and she was prepared to do even the unthinkable. You will question her character, but be her biggest fan all the same. This is a story you will not want to miss.

I could not get enough of this royal romance. Romantic, sweet, and steamy all in one! The character were amazing and easy to love with bouts of humor that left an impression. Philip wants the paparazzo to take some time away from him, and believes staging a fake relationship may be the key. With luck on his side the press gets pictures of him and his best friends sister Anna, and they spin the story from there. Anna is truly sweet and lovable, and its impossible to not love her. I have been a fan since book one. Watching Cat grow and learn about herself and her family has been a fun journey. Book three is bittersweet, but was such a fun end in an amazing series.
Cat and Nate are back at it when a mishap takes place and forces the enemies to join forces. Still quirky, sweet, and full of smiles we watch Cat in her element with the whole family close by. One of the funniest young adult books I have loved and read

Shake Down (First Coast Thriller Series)Shake Down by Armand Rosamilia

The author is completely new to me. However all the ranting and raving proved true. The action and suspense that you get from the story really pulls you in. Clayton was a character down on his luck and trying to make ends meet. The more the story progresses he becomes more than just another man with mistakes that were made. A story wrapped in drama, addiction, mystery, and action all rolled into until one. The question at hand is can Clayton be redeemed..

This is more than just a story about a post apocalyptic society and its chosen inhabitants. The author reunites us with her intricate and unpredictable new world. Our once youthful characters have now matured, and we are introduced to them in a new light. So much growth and development has taken place and can clearly be seen in the characters. Friendship, love, second chances, and exploration of the unknown are only some of what is confronted and book 3. Just as amazing as the first two, book 3 shows the true test of time.

Together they tread dark and chaotic territory when the offer of help comes in the form of marriage. Trust is what Nico won’t do but lust he understands. The chemistry with these two is fire and everything that comes with it is just as good.

The story tested the true bounds of love and the meaning that opposite the track. I enjoyed their story very much, and i appreciated the differences that they had, but the way they were able to embrace each other. Aimee was such a free spirit and Independent woman. She may not have had much but her life was simple and she enjoyed it. Qadir was much more complex, and quite the alpha male. Watching their love story play out danced upon a variety of emotions. The way he watched over her and protected her displayed his devotion. I enjoyed the story very much and I’m happy that I discovered this hidden gem.
