The Agreement (Marcy series book 4) by Linda Burson – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Agreement (The Marcy Series Book 4)The Agreement by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Agreement (Marcy series book 4) by Linda Burson is the fourth book in the series  and should be read in order because you get the back story on the characters and they  flow from one to the next. Sometimes I was frustrated and loved the characters and  sometimes I really really wanted to shake them. This is a bit of an emotional ride and is  full of unexpected twists and turns. As usual Linda does a great job of making the story  flow and easy to read.     To find out if Marcy & Brad have a HEA you will have to read the books.

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson – Review by Angela Hayes

Murder Among FriendsMurder Among Friends by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson. The story is full of mystery, suspense, drama, intrigue, twists, and also has a touch of romance. I have read many of Ms. Burson’s books now and have loved them all, so when I saw this pop up on my feed I knew I had to read it too. As expected from Ms. Burson, this story is really well written- with just the right amount of tension and suspense to get you turning the pages to find out what happens. And another thing that Ms. Burson is great at is coming up with intriguing plots, her imagination is limitless. She easily pulls you into the story and keeps you hooked right through to the end.
Camille Thurston works for a private investigator and feels a little burnt out, she really needs a break, so she decides to spend the summer with her brother and his family. But, when a woman goes missing and her brother begins to investigate, she decides that she needs to pitch in and put her investigative skills to work. She soon develops a relationship with the missing woman’s family… and the story only gets more interesting, and captivating from there.
The story has a great pace and is easy to read, it evolved beautifully and unexpectedly the further into the story I went. The character/s have also developed and grow along with the storyline.
I really don’t want to give away too much and spoil the story for you, I highly recommend reading it for yourself as you may be pleasantly surprised by what you find between the covers.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Burson!

Thank you, Ms. Burson!

Murder Among FriendsMurder Among Friends by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson is a crime murder story that is full of mystery and suspense with a touch of romance. It took me a little while to warm to the story and the way it is written took me a while to adjust as I am used to stories being written in the characters POV. There are twists that keep you guessing when you thought things would be different. There are secrets and lies and you will be stunned by something you don’t see coming.

This is like a true murder mystery game that makes for good read. If you like Cluedo or Whodunit then you will love this book.

The Colors of My Life by Linda Burson

5 Stars!!!!

This was a new type of romance for me and I have to admit I was skeptical at first but the more I read the more I found myself getting lost in the book. I really enjoyed this book and the complexity of the plot and characters. The author did a great job of weaving the characters complex issues and backstories into the book and it draws you into it and keeps you glued to the pages.

The whole complexity of Caylie’s emotions and her character really draw you into the book. Caylie is a very special complex woman and I could sort of relate in some fashion with her. The whole sudo triangle between her Landon and Cole makes you sort of envy her. The twist in the story with Cole and his backstory that leads you to be just glued to the pages to see what the outcome will be and you really start to route for Cole and you can understand just what Caylie sees in him and why she fell in love with him. You know that she will never forget her first husband and that she loved Nolan but you can understand why she felt the way she did and just how things turn out the way they do. I really look forward to reading more from this author and was pleasantly surprised how much I really enjoyed this book that makes it quite a nice little find.

Agony & Ecstasy (The Marcy Series, #3) by Linda Burson – Review by Jenni Bishop

Agony & Ecstasy (The Marcy Series, #3)Agony & Ecstasy by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Agony And Ecstasy is the third book in the Marcy series by Linda Burson and continues on where the second book ended. This book is the culmination of everything coming to a head. Freedom is scary, revenge is ripe and sweet, devastation takes its toll and finally nightmares are finally revealed in full. Love is lost, happiness turns into heartbreak. Agony finds happiness and a broken heart may mend. This story has many many many highs and lows and lots of confusion, tears and sorrow, but there is also laughter and surprises.

It is a story of three peoples hopes and dreams and unimaginable love. It is also a story about dealing with a past that would destroy even the strongest of us and dealing with the complications of that past to try and find a way to the future.

Confusion (The Marcy Series, #2)Confusion by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Confusion is the second book in the Marcy series by Linda Burson and and just like the first book here is a whole lot going on. This book will certainly keep you on your toes and on a rollercoaster ride where you don’t know which way is up or down. Confusion is an apt title. This book is a psychological twister that has it all from action and romance, murder and mystery, and lots of dramas and dilemmas. Your emotions will be all over the place, fear and anger, love and angst, hate and happiness.

Marcy is trying to face her nightmares and little by little they are coming back but could there be a more that could be behind everything? Could things get much worse they they already are? Will she be able to move on from her past? Will she finally be able to move on in her life?

If you liked the first book and you want to know what happens to Marcy then jump right in. You won’t want to miss the rest of the plots, twists and turns.

Rage is the first book in the Marcy series by Linda Burson and there is a whole lot going on in this story, twist and turns at every step of the way. The Colors of My Life by Linda Burson – Review by Jenni Bishop

The Colors Of My LifeThe Colors Of My Life by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Colors of My Life by Linda Burson is a romantic drama. There is loads and loads of suspense and action and it was very intriguing. This is my book I have read by this author and it was a surprising read. The plot is well thought out and there are certainly lots of twists and turns that you don’t see coming.

Our main characters Cole and Caylie meet up in the most unexpected and unusual way. Cole unfortunately got caught up on the wrong side of things and I could sympathise with him.

Caylie was a a caring and loving person who would do anything for anyone. Unfortunately she found herself in some terrifying situations. How she stayed strong was a testament to her character.

I liked the story, and it was a nice read. For me I found the characters a little too polite all the time which just seemed a little to disbelieving but if you are a fan of romantic drama then this is one that you will enjoy. The story is definitely a fast paced roller coaster ride that doesn’t seem to slow down. It was nice to read a story where the main characters were that bit older than the norm.

The Colors of My Life is a wonderful example on how life can change in a minute and how we accept that is how it can affect our lives. I thought this book was written really good and had some parts that kept you on your toes. I wish this book was a series. I really loved all the people in this book.

Confusion (The Marcy Series, #2) by Linda Burson – Review by Jana Teppih

Confusion (The Marcy Series, #2)Confusion by Linda Burson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Confusion by Linda Burson is the second book in her Marcy series and I promise you, it is definitely not a standalone! Do not even try! You will be sooo lost! And it is very different from the first book … what a crazy rollercoaster indeed …
The second book finds Marcy going between Brad and Liam while still plagued by the disjointed memories of her past … What a lucky woman she is, loved by two … both of the men making her feel special … still, she needs to decide, doesn’t she? Who she will spend her lifetime with … or does she need to? I have to say that the title absolutely fit the story line … Marcy is one confused woman who cannot understand why she feels drawn to both Liam AND Brad …
The book is a combination of action, romance, psychological elements and twists that no one saw coming … Thank you Ms Burson for giving us a story that in some ways is so simple to relate to and on the other hand leaves us again, reaching for the next one in the series …
