This book had me hooked from the very first page. It was filled with thrills and mystery. The words just flow so easily and you don’t want to put it down. It was an easy read for me and I highly recommend this book.

Madeline is part of the perfect Santa Barbara IT couple, she is a experienced event planner and she has planning this Charity Ball for a year and is nervous for everything to go right. The night of the ball she has the right dress, the most handsome man by her side nothing could go wrong but her whole world comes crashing down.
As she dances with the handsome stranger her husband becomes more agitated and they have a huge argument and he storms out of the ball, but as a true host Madeline stays and hosts the rest of the charity ball. The next morning the reality sets in, she wakes up in a strange room within the hotel, de-shelved and naked. Once she has got herself together she departs and gets home to her husband who is still mad and demands to know where she has been when she tells him that she does not remember the night he produces photographs of her in uncompromising positions with the stranger at the party.
This leaves her homeless and going to broke if she does not try to get to the bottom what is going on, with the help of a PI Burt she uncovers the dirty truth behind the really reasons and will she survive this discovery.
OMG first of all this story was full of intrigue and twists and turns, I could not put this book down. The character of Madeline at first I was not sure but as the story got more intense her true character shone and I felt like in the end living through the trails and strength she had to dig deep to try and move on with her life. I definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next book for this brilliant writer.

A new drug is threatening to flood into Chicago so its up to a reporter and a vigilante to work together to expose this horrendous silent killer.
Orla is a reporter who has a story to write to uncover who is causing the drugs to be pushed onto the streets of Chicago but as she delves deeper into the underworld of the city she becomes a target and when she feels like she is being follows she knows she is on the right line.
Following a lead to a pub she meets her “Angel” but he is the vigilante running through the streets defending the people who can’t. After understanding they are both working towards the same goal of trying to get this new drug of the streets they decide to combine forces to achieve there goal, but they both do not understand the chemistry between them and they start feeling that the can’t go a day without seeing each other. Could love survive a underworld battle?
If you enjoy a story with action, thrilling story line and well developed characters you will enjoy this book. The chemistry between the two characters was excellent and the story was well executed too, full of excitement and action. This is the first story I have read by this author and would definitely recommend this story and I will be checking out the other stories in her catalogue.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I simply loved it I even read this story in one sitting but it does have a cliffhanger. The plot was awesome and different and the characters are well written. I just loved their quirkiness.
Zariya Chanji, is convinced her father was murdered and she will stop at nothing to uncover the truth–even if she must break into the headquarters of one of the most powerful organizations in the world. MASC, the Mythical Alliance of Supernatural Creatures, governs the lives of supes like herself, and she knows they had a hand in covering up her father’s murder.

When her investigation draws the unwanted attention of a MASC she decides to go on the defense. She meets a vampire who is as handsome as he is powerful, and she know she is close to the truth. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to see what Zariya gets up to in the next book….

And the River Runs deep is my first experience with A.J Ullman’s writing and a different feel of book than I am used to reading. Throughout the book there are several facts shared, while it was informative and well written, it at times felt too… factual.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and was incredibly wrapped up in the case. The writing is strong and engaging and I would definitely read more work from this author in the future.

And The River Runs Deep is a true crime novel by AJ Ullman.
Leah Marcus was a seventeen year old school girl with her whole life planned. She was going to make music, she was going to save lives, she was going to bring joy to those close to her. She never got to do any of these things. Leah was found, in her bedroom, brutally murdered.
The novel is written from the point of view of a journalist who reinvestigates the murder case ten years later. It is so ‘factual’ that I had to check that this wasn’t in fact a true story (despite having novel in the title). For me, this style of writing is completely different to what I’m used to. I found it a bit difficult to get used to at first, with lengthy descriptions of the area in which it’s set, but once I got used to it, it was very enjoyable.
The story is set against the backdrop of the Cincinnati 2001 race riots, where tensions, emotions and tempers are already running high.
I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but I will say that this is a book you need to read right to the very end.

There were times my emotions were all over the place one minute and there were times the temperature went up. There’s plenty of action, drama, family secrets and deception. Nathan and Bryer, he’s a playboy with a dark family secret and she’s been betrayed in the past and has issues with trusting others. There’s so much chemistry between these two that sparks fly. Can these two have a future together? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this Trilogy.

Phoenix Team One: Selected is the first book in the Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team series by Claire Luana. This is the first instalment/episode of the new serialized urban fantasy series which will consist of novella length instalments to follow along, as the story/series unfolds. This first book sets things off to a fantastic start- bringing all kinds of paranormal beings/creatures (supes), action, drama, danger, adventure, mystery, secrets, discovery, and lots more.
Zariya is on a quest for vengeance after the death of her father. She is determined to hunt down those responsible for his murder and wreak her revenge. But as she begins to investigate she discovers that things are much more complicated than she imagined. What she uncovers will change her perspective about everything she thought she knew and will set her on a life changing adventure.
I enjoyed this engaging story, and as expected Ms. Luana’s fantastic world building and endearing characters really brought everything to life, making it entirely realistic and believable.
Cannot wait to see where we go from here!

Fantastic read – every girl’s dream is to hang out with rock stars right? No, in all seriousness, a very easy book to read, Turn up the Tempo flowed really well with a great mix of characters, the perfect amount of spice and twists that kept you guessing.
I haven’t read the previous books in this series and was able to follow along well enough, however am now curious to go back and find out the whole story from the start!

Spouse Trap is the first book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This book had me hooked from the very first page. I stayed up way to late at night to finish it, but it was well worth the lack of sleep. I enjoyed the writing style and the character growth throughout the book was great. Madeline is strong willed and very detail oriented. I love how she works things out in the case of her ruined marriage. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to getting the next book in the series.

Finding Leda: The Science of Happiness is book 1 in the Italian College series by Gaia B Amman which is a young adult story. This follows Leda in her college years, and it will put you on an emotional rollercoaster. She does not have time for romance but then Sergio comes back around, what will happen between these two characters? I love these books since I started reading this series, I can’t wait to read more. They are entertaining and will hook you into the story from the first few pages . You cannot go wrong reading this book!

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series, #4) by Charli B. Rose was a great 5 star read. I love Rock Star romance and this one did not disappoint. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
We start with a steamy memory of a one night stand between Brittany and Brooks, a few months later they come face-to-face again. Things get complicated when they are bestman and maid of honor for their best friends. Of course they can’t resist each other and Brooks finds her in the bathroom. And boy was that a steamy and hot scene. Neither one of them wanted more than a one night stand but they can’t stop thinking about each other.
There is all kinds of drama with these two, they both have things going on in their lives. We have ups and downs, steamy moments and so much more. All the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I really liked Brittany and Brooks and would love to see more from them. This book can be read as a standalone. I absolutely loved reading this book. In this book Leda is in college and trying to find out what truly makes her happy. She is trying new things and is making sure she keeps up with her studies. Sergio has come back into the picture and Leda is trying to find balance so she doesn’t lose herself, what will happen if anything between these two? The things that her and her friends go through at this age is very relatable and I couldn’t help but be pulled into this story. The author’s writing is exceptional and keeps me wanting more. I have loved every book that I have read by this author and this one is no different. I had a very hard time putting this book down because I needed to know what was going to happen. I have enjoyed watching Leda grow up and all the people that have come and gone from her life. I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book

This is my first book by India Kells. It will not be my last! This is a story that includes action, danger, and romance. It is a book that is entertaining and addictive to read. This is a dark romance suspense book that I loved from beginning to end. Orla is a Chicago reporter who risks going into Chicago’s underworld to learn of a new drug being sold. She also wants to learn more about a Vigilante who is fighting to protect the city. Read to find out what happens when the city’s vigilante swearing to right the wrongs meets the sleuth news reporter who only wants to write the truth and protect the city.

PhoenixTeam One: Selected is the first book in the Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team series by Claire Luana. This book is the perfect blend of fantasy, suspense, thrill, and romance. The amount of action the author is able to pack in such a short story is amazing. At just 120 pages and the wonderfully written storyline, I was able to finish this book in an afternoon. Zariya Chanji is determined to figure out if her father was murdered. She believes that breaking into the MACS (Mythical Alliance of Supernatural Creatures) headquarters will help her uncover the truth of her father’s murder. Zariya thinks MACS is covering something up but she doesn’t know what their motive for it would be. Then her path crosses with a handsome MACS vampire and she isn’t sure if she will be able to stay alive long enough to know the truth about her father.

It is a fast-paced book that hooked me in from the start. It is a story that includes action, danger, mystery, and secrets. The story follows Zariya Chanji, a half human, half naga (snake creature) hybrid, whose life has fallen apart after her father’s death. This story flowed and the character descriptions were amazing! I honestly cannot wait to read what happens next.

Let me start with you can read this as a stand-alone but I highly recommend previous books to get a much fuller picture. One of my favorite things about this set of books by this author is we’ve followed Leda through so many stages of life. Each one brings her to new challenges and I’ve enjoyed watch this character grow. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that keeps you wanting more and coming back to make sure you don’t miss a bit. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m definitely looking forward to even more. Four stars and highly recommended.

Forgotten Truth by Virginia Wine was a great story! It took me a couple of chapters to get hooked, and the beginning started off a little confusing, but a couple chapters in it got much better! Very good story line, very steamy (if you’re reading the steamy/erotica version) and some great twists I didn’t expect! This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I immensely enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more from Wine!

Turn up the Tempo is the fourth book in Lyrical Odyssey Rock series written by Ms. Rose and I read the other books in this series also. The plot was awesome and the characters where well written and I love their quirks. The only thing that bother me was it was too slow at times and it took me a few days to read the whole story.
This is Brittany and Brooks story they both don’t relationships and they both have a tragic past. It was meant to be a one-night stand. Then months later they meet again at Izzy and Dawson wedding.
Brittany cannot understand why she still think about Brooks it was only mean to be one-night and it was months ago. She doesn’t want to have feeling for him because Brooks in a damn Rockstar he will break her hart.
Brooks he usually did one night that was all he was good for and all he ever wanted. It kept girls from getting clingy. Now that he had his night, he wanted more than one round he wanted a few rounds and the next morning too. When he left her in the morning that was supposed to be it. Now Brittany is all he thinks about her smile, her laugh, her moans, her touches.
So, what is Brooks supposed to do walk away or fight for what he wants? Will brooks break down Brittany walls down? Will they be able to overcome the few obstacles that are thrown their way? Will they over come their pasts and move forward with a relationship? Will they have a happily ever after? You will need to read this story to find out. I do suggest reading all the books in this series in order.

Finding Leda by Gaia B. Amman was a great story! This one has probably so far been my favorite story about Leda I’ve read so far! It had a great story line, great characters, and some great imagery and quotes! I immensely enjoyed reading this one. I feel like Leda is finally starting to find herself a little bit more in this novel. I highly recommend this novel! I would definitely recommend starting this series from the beginning though!

I loved Madeline and her ability to just bounce back and get through all the hurdles thrown in her way. I enjoyed the book and found myself turning page after page. I love a book that keeps me on the edge of my seat and guessing until the very end. This author knows how to to keep me coming back time and again for more of her amazingly written stories! The characters all pull you in deeper and deeper making you try to savor every single page. Libby is such a strong character that I really felt a connection and I loved every minute of it. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. Five stars all the way and highly recommended. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next!

This author pulled me in completely. While there’s plenty of steamy scenes there’s also an incredible storyline that takes main stage. I had no trouble falling into the pages and getting lost for a while because the characters pulled at me. Each one brings something unique to the storyline and I loved going on this journey with them. It’s well written and paced nicely, I’m excited to see where readers are taken next. Four stars and highly recommended!

Finding Leda; the Science of Happiness (Italian College Novel 1, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B Amman was an excellent book! I thoroughly enjoyed following Leda as she moved into her years in college. It took ne back to my own college days! I loved seeing g her character blossom in this novel after so much happened with her in the last. I felt that she discovered more about herself than she realized was there in this book. I also found the description of college during that time fascinating. I remember my mom taking classes along a similar schedule but things are so different these days on college campuses. Leda truly is amazing and I absolutely love her character. This is easily a 5-star novel.

This is book 1 In The Forgotten Truth Trilogy. This is the first book I’ve ever read by this author and was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed reading this book and it kept me glued to my kindle from chapter 1. This book had everything one could want in a book. The chemistry between Nathan and Bryer was ridiculously hot. The book had lots of drama and suspense. There really is a lot going on in the book and you can miss some vital info if you don’t pay attention. I really like the 2 main characters but didn’t love the supporting character. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series

In the heart of Milan in 2000, Leda Balni is nineteen and hoping to graduate in genetic engineering. Having read Gaia B Amman’s previous series of her fictionalised account of her own childhood and having read about her school years I was pleased to catch up with Leda and I was not disappointed.
Leda is pondering her happiness along with her feelings as she enjoys her independence, her learning and her rock band. Does she really have time for falling in love and surely she’s to clever for her feelings to be for Sergio, as although he is handsome in a smouldering way he is also unreliable, brooding, and a pothead.
The author manages to capture the thoughts and feelings of a nineteen year old which make Leda so realistic and relatable as a character. She is able to touch on raw emotions and write with such honesty as well as give good life advice. The book is both a great read with an exciting storyline and an independent, feisty and clever heroine at its heart and is also an empowering read. I also felt completely immersed in the wonderful Italian setting due to the authors detailed descriptions, I felt I was in the heart of Milan along with Leda. I look forward to continuing Leda’s adventures with her in future books.

Hero High: Figure In The Flames by Mina Chara was an exciting and fun read. The storyline easily caught my attention and I burned through this book in a heartbeat. The characters were fun and creative with unique powers and abilities. Friday was special and her power was passive. Her personality and subtle love interest kept me hooked. I loved the ending even if it was a bit of an emotional thing. Such a wonderful read. I highly recommend it!

I loved reading the story Forgotten Promise Book two: The Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is the second story in a trilogy so I would highly suggest reading the books in order to fully understand what is happening. In this book, Nathan and Bryer have declared their love for each other. He has taught her how to trust again. She is his one true love. What will happen when someone from her past shows up? What will Bryer choose, the present, or the past? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. The story includes romance, danger, and manipulation. The man from Bryer’s past, Cash, is manipulative, slimy, and just plain evil. He is a man who is used to getting what he wants. I am rooting for Nathan and Bryer to find happiness. They are characters that I care about what happens to them. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that has amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.

Finding Leda: The Science of Happiness is listed as book 1 in the Italian College series by Gaia B Amman. However, it is a continuation of the Italian Saga and should be read in order. I am very invested in this series and want to know what happens. I am even more intrigued because it is based on a true story. This book was my favorite so far of the series, but I am so mad with the ending. Total Cliffhanger! Amman really knows how to keep readers hooked and coming back for more, because I am in search of the next book in the series. I love that this series addresses taboo but real topics youth have to deal with. It doesn’t matter if American or Italian, in this case. Its all the same. Love, heartache, finding your purpose, deciding your major, evolving friendships, loss, on and on.
This book continues following Leda, and she is now an “adult.” I feel she has really matured throughout the series and we have kind of watched her grow up at this point. She is on a quest of self discovery and aims to “Find Leda.” She is creating a list of rules to live by, which are pretty great for someone in college. She is struggling to not fall into her old habits, and wants to live for herself for once, not for some boy. But this particular boy is making that very very hard. Sergio is back in the picture- remember, the intense pothead of her Ange days. He is grown up and still has that same pull on her, and its taking a lot of energy to avoid him. They are both playing the game this time though.

I loved this book. This is the second book in this series, it is just as awesome as the first if not better. This author is fast becoming one of my favorites. She has a great imagination and her attention to detail makes you feel as if you are part of the story. I had no problem connecting with the characters. They had great chemistry and really made the story a page turner. Nathan and Bryer thought they had their future settled. They have fought their way through life challenges. But now, the past is coming to the present and it may not be a good thing. Now, Bryer is left with a decision, to live in the past or live for the present and future. Which will she choose? Their twists and turns had me turning pages fast. I highly recommend their story and this author.
