Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been loving this series since the first book. I fall in love with the author’s writing and the characters that I meet along the way every single time. I must say this one was among the best that I have read. I loved the storyline of this one, the talk of second chances, and fighting for what you want. It was beautiful!

This was an empowering read. Sometimes in life stuff will happen and you lose sight of what is important. That does not mean it is gone forever. Sometimes you have to help it find its way back to you. And sometimes that road traveled is the less easy one. I truly loved the story of Michael and Yolanda. There was a lot of moments that were sweet, and some that put on the emotion. I loved reading and watching them grow as characters as well with one another. It was such a beautiful read! Loved it!

If you have not checked out this gifted author or other books in this series, I highly say that you do. This is not one to be passed up by any means. And this book alone is a must read! Highly reccomend!

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the Bunya Junction series and I really enjoyed it like the books before.

This book was slightly different in the sense that it wasn’t 2 strangers finding love but a married couple falling out and back in love with each other. The author does an amazing job of showing the reader the realities of married life, showing that it isn’t always love and romance and that sometimes you have to lose something to realise what you have.

When Yolanda leaves her husband Michael she feels she needs to return to Bunya Junction to give herself time to heal. After a marriage that had suffered misunderstandings, and disagreements through the years she feels they need a fresh start so leaves with her young daughter. However things aren’t that simple as she realises she left part of herself with her husband.

After Yolanda leaves Michael starts to realise what he had in his relationship and wants to get his wife back so he plans to return to a place he vows never to return to so he can save his family.

There are things at work in the back ground such as demons in Michael’s past that Yolanda doesn’t know about, will she realise what they are before its too late to save them.
This story is beautifully written and I loved reading and sensing the realisation that Michael comes to when he realises that he needs to put his family over any job. The author’s writing is very emotive and drags the readers in. You can’t put it down until you know their ending.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars all the way and I would give more if I could! The author has creatively formed a wonderful community in this series and Bunya Junction is somewhere I’d love to be!
This 4th books sees Yolanda and Michael go through some very difficult times in their marriage. Yolanda returns home to Bunya Junction needing some space to try and sort out if her marriage is really going to make it. Very soon after, her husband Michael also returns determined to prove to her that their marriage is everything and he wants his wife back!
Communication or lack there of, is definitely a topic of the book and at times I swear I wanted to reach into the book and “Gibbs” slap them both! I kept saying “just tell him” or “damn it tell her!!”. Now the fact the author had me talking to her fictional characters so passionately, as if I was right there with them, is proof to me of her amazing writing talent and the quality of her writing.

I have read a few of Nicole’s books and have fallen in love with her writing. This is the fourth and the last book in this original and refreshing series. It is also one of my favourite series. In this book we see our couple going from young love to the trials and tribulations of trying to keep a marriage together. Returning to Bunya Junction may just be what is needed to put things back in perspective. But will the lies and secrets be too much? There are many emotions at play in this story that at times felt like your heart was going to break.
I see that Nicole has SEAL books, so I am now off to read them.

How I love this series so much…..and this 4th book is no exception! The story of Yolanda and Michael pick up at the end of book 3. I highly highly recommend reading this series in order as the the characters continue in each of the books.

The love that Yolanda and Michael have….really made my heart happy but yet misunderstandings, sadness and fear get in the way of their marriage. When Yolanda decides to take a break and re-evaluate the marriage, she decides to return home back to Bunya Junction. Michael gives her a little space but decides to go and fight for his marriage and back to Bunya Junction as well. With the roller coaster of marriage of fears, misunderstandings and loss, will Yolanda and Michael find their way back to each other? Definitely read to find out.

I also love the fact that the characters continue within each book and you really get to know the family. I just loved this series and I highly recommend reading these books. They are fabulous.

Get ready for all the feels! From page one I was excited to read Micheal and Yolanda’s story. I’ve read some others in this series and found I easily read them as a standalone but will be reading them all. This may be my top pick in this series but it’s a hard choice for sure. But this one just pulled at my heart a different way is the only way I can describe it. These two brought me so deep into their story and world that I simply didn’t want to leave them. I love a great second Chance romance story and that’s exactly what this author brought. It’s well written with characters that just draw you in and can easily connect with. So excited for more from this author! Five stars and highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. It was so nice to read a book where the characters start out in a relationship and have to navigate through that. The complexity and the attention to detail really drew me into the book. I thought it was a sweet and heartwarming story and I really found myself getting behind the characters.
I like how the author brings something different to each book in this series. They all have the same feel but also stand out from the others. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to what is still to come.

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this book we get the story of the 4th, and final, Carruthers sibling, youngest child Yolanda. We really didn’t hear much about Yolanda in the first 3 books until she appeared unexpectedly at the end of book 3.
Yolanda has been living in the city with her husband Michael and 3 year old daughter Jayne. Their marriage is going through a rocky patch so she decides to come home to Bunya Junction to get a break and to re-evaluate her life.
This is different from most other romance books in that the couple are already married. This is the very angsty tale of how Michael follows Yolanda and tries to win her back.
I really did enjoy Michael and Yolanda’s story. It’s very much a story of how a lack of communication can lead to such strife. If only they would talk to each other about how they are truly feeling. Although if they did that, we wouldn’t get this great angsty story to get our teeth stuck into.
I loved that we got to see all 4 couples from this series but I’m now gutted that this series has come to an end. I will definitely read this book (and the rest of the series) again.

This has been one of the most beautiful series I have ever read. They can be read as stand alone. This book is beautiful, heart warming and almost true to life. The challenges Michael and Yolanda face are real and can be heartbreaking if you let them. Some familiar faces pop up in the story and Bunya Junction has become a bit like home. The details in the plot feel like you are there in the Outback with the characters. There are a few twists thrown in. As I mentioned, the issues are real, which make this story so engaging and one that you are involved in from the beginning straight through. I couldn’t put it down. Touched my soul all the way down. I would give it more than a 5 if I could. It’s going on my Best of 2022 list. I highly recommend this book to all who love to read.

This is the fourth book in this series which I have enjoyed from the first book in this series. This can be read as a standalone series which I highly suggest doing to help your enhancement of this series and of this author’s writing skills. I enjoyed this romance story about Micheal and Yolanda and their second chance at love. As they separate, Yolanda goes back home with their daughter trying to make a clean break. Michael has something else in mind. What will happen when he shows up determined to put his marriage back together. What will fate have in store for these two? Will they get their second chance at love? I enjoyed these two characters and how they pop off the pages. They took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that kept me coming back for more. They are relatable and have great chemistry. I also enjoyed their growth throughout the story. They had me wanting them to get back together so they could once again be happy. This is a great story that is fast paced and hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and this author.

So Riley is a successful plastic surgeon but he has a big heart and wants to give back but his partner isn’t on board and soon there’s trouble in paradise and Riley sells up and is looking at other avenues to practice but as luck would have it life always has other plans …..

Colin , the man who basically raises Ryan is an accident and is asking for him so he heads out to Bunya and life as he knows it is about to change for the better that is …..

Sindy left the city after a terrible heartbreak and some serious trauma and where do you go when you’re hurting ? You go home and Bunya Junction is home , her brothers are there , her support system is there …..

Colin and Sindy are thrown into a business venture thanks to Colin but it’s also a venture of the heart and man what a beautiful thing it was to watch and I count myself sooooooo lucky to have been a part of this town and it’s people ❣️

I’m so grateful that despite their haded views of people these 2 beautiful souls took a chance on each other ❣️

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #3)Doctor in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m already anxiously awaiting the next book in this series! I have read the first three so far and all of them could be read as stand-alone books. However, I really enjoy having the full family history! I feel like I’ve been able to get to know this family pretty well and we’d all get along just great.

Dr. Scott Caruthers is busy running his hospital as well as setting up his new foundation. He’s finding he needs more help and that’s where Dr. Franceen Lewis comes in. She’s the OB for the hospital and it’s a good thing because Scott’s twin sister, Sindy, is pregnant. Scott wants to focus on being the best uncle and not having to worry about being a doctor to his sister.

Sparks start flying immediately between Dr. Scott and Dr. Franceen. They keep running into each other and now he’s concerned about Dr. Franceen’s reactions after delivery Sindy’s babies. What’s going on with her? He’s hoping he doesn’t have to fire his new staff so soon but if she can’t get it together, they will have to look into options.

Like his other siblings, Scott works way too hard and doesn’t take a lot of time for himself. It’s starting to show and he’s afraid that his foundation may suffer for it as well. Could Dr. Franceen be the motivation he needs to get away more?

I fall more in love with this family with each passing story! Highly recommended!

Whatever in the world is a new bride doing in my pub??? Can you imagine what Jonas thought when he saw this beautiful, yet apparently heartbroken woman, rush into his business?

This story is my favorite of the three books in this series so far. This book can be read as a stand-alone but you’ll get more of Jonas’s family background by reading book 1.

Jonas is a pub owner who is dedicated to his work. He rarely takes any time off and keeps the pub open 7 days a week. Out of the blue, Pandora shows up in a wedding dress looking lost. Why is she here? Come to find out, she’s not an actual bride but Jonas, having just met her, loves what he sees. Can he open this pandora box that Pandora is showcasing? Hopefully together they can find some resolutions to the time they spend working!

I just found a new favorite author!!

Sindy Carruthers is a busy nurse working for Dr. Colin McCarthy when he faces an untimely death. Unsure of how to go about running the practice, Sindy is a world of hurt. She’s lost her confidant and her boss. She made a call to Dr. Ryan Flanigan to let him know about Dr. Colin’s accident and asked him to be there. Dr. Ryan was able to say his goodbyes to Dr. Colin. Then came the kicker….when the will was read, Dr. Ryan had a huge decision to make. Should he leave his life behind in the city to take over the practice of his mentor? He was a well-known plastic surgeon after all. What did he know about general medicine?

It doesn’t take long for sparks to fly between Dr. Ryan and nurse Sindy, but are they the right kind of sparks? Did Dr. Colin know what he was actually doing when he willed that they should run the practice together? I’d like to think that he did!

I really enjoyed this story for several reasons. It was set in Australia (I hope to visit one day), involved a doctor and a nurse, as well as a love connection. I recommend this book as well as the others in this series! I will be looking for more books by this new-to-me author to read!

“Doctor in the Outback” written by Nicole Flockton is the third book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction, but the first that I have read. In need of some assistance, Scott, a small town doctor, hires an obstetrician named Franceen. She has recently moved into town following a life altering loss, and desires to focus solely on her career. Scott and Franceen start as professional co-workers, ignoring the attraction they feel towards one another. They both have a lot of issues from their past that they’re dealing with, and the story follows them as they begin to find healing. I loved the character development and the setting of this story! I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 3)

I have been looking forward to this book since finishing the last and I wasn’t disappointed.   There is something about finding love in the Outback that I have enjoyed.

Scott has watched his twin and younger brother find love and was ready for it to be his turn but didn’t expect to find it in such a remote area.

Franceen held on to the pain and guilt for too long and was okay with being on her own, at least she thought so until she stops fighting her feelings.

This was a great book to get lost in and enjoy.

I continue to just love this series..The author does a fantastic job weaving in not only the main characters of this story of Scott and Franceen, but also continues to include other characters from the previous books, which I love. Scott is a smart, dedicated CEO of Waratah River Hospital but he is also fair, just and all about family. Franceen is the new OB-GYN doctor at the hospital who is a strong, determined and totally focused and I totally loved her character. Scott and Franceen have the perfect amount of spark and sizzle but also have to overcome obstacles of their past. Will they find the love they both deserve? Definitely read and find out.

This is the third book in this series. Scott is in the first two books, but you don’t need to have read them to know what’s going on in this book, having said that I do think you should read them because they are good books. Scott runs a hospital and has hired an obstetrician named Franceen. These two find themselves attracted to each other but since they work together neither one of them have acted on the attraction, not to mention that both of their past relationships have made them apprehensive about taking a chance on relationships. They find that as their attraction and chemistry grows they can’t deny it anymore. Can they get over their past hurts to find love? Will their careers get in the way of having a relationship? To find the answers to these questions you need to dive into this romantic emotional story with great characters. I loved reading this book and I think you will too!

This third book in the Bunya Junction series follows Scott and Franceen’s story. Scott, who is Sindy’s twin brother, has been feeling all the pangs of his twin sister’s pregnancy issues. He is the hunky doctor at Waratah River where he meets Franceen who is coming on as an OB for the hospital.

Franceen who is clearly not ready for any romantic entangles meets Scott the hunky doctor at Waratah hospital. Sparks instantly fly between the two though Franceen is not ready to dive into another romance anytime soon. The longer she works with Scott the more she realizes that not all men are the same and Scott seems eager to prove just how different he is, definitely not shallow and unreliable. Can Franceen put the past behind her to build a future with a man eager to give her the world? Or is the past doomed to repeat itself? This is a happily ever after story that will make you fall in love with being in love all over again.

This is the second book in the Bunya Junction series and we follow Pandora and Jonas’ story. Supermodel Pandora flees her taxing life as a model and ends up landing in the small town of Bunya Junction. In an unplanned event she lands in Jonas’s pub looking for a safe refuge from her life.

Jonas does not expect the model Pandora to be kind and compassionate. Though a knight in shining armor he realizes the only one that can fix Pandora’s PR disaster is Pandora herself. Pandora knows she cannot hide out in Bunya Junction for the entirety of her career and she must face what she left behind. Will it all be too much for Jonas to handle or will he choose to stick by her as she cleans up the mess she made? I definitely enjoyed their story more than Sindy and Ryan’s story. If you liked the first story then this one is a must read book that will leave you pulling for them to find their happily ever after!

This is a lovely romance novel that not only touches your soul but steals your heart along the way. Everyone leaves home at one time or another, most vowing to never head back. However, Ryan must return to his old hometown to pay respects for not only his mentor but the man who took him in. Finding out then that he left half of his practice to him. With Ryan;s life seeming to implode in Sydney maybe a fresh start is exactly what he needs.

The other half of Colin’s practice has been left to nurse Sindy Carruthers who is Ryan’s best friend’s sister. Sindy is sure that with Ryan’s success that there is no way he will stay in Bunya Junction. However, Ryan may have other plans, now that nothing is holding him in Sydney. Another enjoyable and engaging novel in the ‘Welcome to Bunya Junction’ series. I was looking forward to returning to Bunya Junction and I was definitely not disappointed. Set in a small town in Australia, the authors descriptive narrative really brings Bunya Junction to life and I could picture the setting, making me feel fully immersed in the story. The storyline focuses on Dr. Scott Carruthers who runs the small town busy hospital at Waratah River. Having also set up a foundation to help others achieve their dreams Scott is far to busy for a relationship. However, when he meets the new specialist obstetrician, Dr. Franceen Lewis the instant attraction he feels is a completion he doesn’t need. Franceen took the job to start her life over after a tragic loss resulted in the end of her marriage, which was an unhappy one.
She just wants to focus on her career and helping others, but she’s not sure how long she can deny the connection she feels towards Scott. Wary of getting involved with another man, Scott continuously proves he’s not like her ex. The more time they spend together both professionally and personally the more their relationship grows but Franceen has trouble putting her past behind her and it may cost her, her future happiness. I loved the main characters as they were both likeable and relatable, and I loved how their relationship developed and grew throughout the story. This heartwarming romance kept me happily turning the pages and I was hoping that Franceen and Scott would get their HEA.

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, Book 3) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Cindy Mayberry

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #3)Doctor in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This the third book in the series is more about Scott and the new obstetrician named Franceen. We all know bosses and employees should never be more. But in this case both these beautiful people are forgiven. (By me) Scott has a twin sister who is pregnant with twins herself. As her brother and a Doctor, he has to be the brother first and foremost. Franceen on the other hand is the Doctor who will care for Sissy. Although Scott has his own problems with the pregnancy, as a twin he feels her pain as well as the morning sickness. The author once again has involved me into this series. I love the storyline and the HEA. The characters feel like family and we all want to feel the emotional rollercoaster ride this story brings forth. I will be waiting for the fourth in this series, because, There has to be more!

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, Book 3) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #3)Doctor in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Doctor in the Outback is Book 3 in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. In it we are introduced to Dr. Scott Caruthers, and Dr. Franceen Lewis, who is an obstetrician. Dr. Scott is kept busy running a small hospital in Waratah River while also trying to set up a foundation to help others achieve their dreams as he has done. Dr. Franceen Lewis has recently become employed at the hospital and is looking for a fresh start in the hopes that she can put her past behind her. After suffering a horrible loss and the breakdown of her marriage she wants to push forward and focus on her career. Both Scott and Franceen find themselves attracted to one another but neither want to admit the attraction. Scott has no time for a relationship and Franceen is nowhere near ready to jump into another relationship. Yet the more time they spend working together the stronger the attraction becomes.

This was a very sweet read with some wonderful characters. Scott and Franceen shared a lot of similarities when it came to their views on relationships. Both felt they were too busy and only wanted to focus on their individual careers. Both were afraid to fall for the other for fear of rejection or the relationship failing. The story flowed well, and it was interesting to see how it would unfold and what would become of Scott and Franceen. Would they allow themselves to feel true happiness or fight it for fear of failure? You will have to read the book to find out. Loved this book!

Another excellent read to be transported away from “real-life”. I was so excited to get to read Scott’s story! This slow burn was so hard for me to put down. I loved it! Everyone is so relatable that you feel like you know them and are a part of their lives. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!
