This is part of The Sisterhood series. This story is written so that I was made to feel part of the story. The characters are my favorite because they are all strong, sassy, feisty women who know how to get something done. I love how strong the friendship is with them. In this story, they lose a member of their team and the revenge is strong. Will they be able to save what is left of their world? I highly recommend this book to find out more about these strong women.

DUDE, WHAT THE EVER LIVING H.E. DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS DID I JUST READ?!?!
I don’t even know how to review this because I can’t say anything about the book, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone and yet I want to scream from the roof tops that if you like to read a good “HOLY CRAP WHAT DID I JUST READ” book, this is the one for you.
huh, ummm yeah – so ummm let’s talk about the characters. They are quickly developed and we know who is “good” and who is “bad” from the get go. The story flows quickly and is told both in present and past tense giving much needed background along the way. It’s well plotted and I read it in one sitting because I just had to find out how it ended. I could NOT put it down because what if all the Kindles in the world erased overnight and Amazon crashed and I couldn’t get a hold of the book to find out how it ended. It would haunt me for the rest of my life, so I stayed up way past my bedtime to read the very last page.
I have read several other books that have left me feeling this exact same way and if you would like a recommendation, please feel free to reach out to me. If I could give this book 27 stars for being such a “mind (word censored but it starts with an eff and ends with a K)”, I would. Holy Moly.
Ok, that is all. Oh except, this book does contain violence and abuse and all sorts of dark stuff so if you are looking for a book that is light and fluffy, this isn’t it.

I loved everything about this short story. This clean, fun story offers just a wonderful, feel-good Christmas tale. Just loved reading about Jack and Joyce. The story is fluid and quirky. Brooke Williams writes another wonderful tale. Definitely recommended.

5 Star Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander is the fourth book in her Eastern Shore Swingers Series. I can’t say enough how much I love this Author and this series .I said the last book was my favorite but this one moves to the top of my favorites. This series can be read as standalone but I highly recommend reading the first three books in this series if you haven’t already. Trust me you won’t be disappointed that you did.This is Casey’s story.She is a confident woman and comfortable with the person she is. She’s a strong and at times can be sassy but with everything she has gone through it’s ok to be sassy. This book took me on a emotional rollercoaster ride with me laughing one minute to crying. Casey’s story pulled at my heart strings to.But what happens when she gets a secong chance at more than just life? I highly recommend this book. Heck I recommend reading the whole series .I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next.

Imperfect Heart is the fourth book in the Combat Hearts Series by Tarina Deaton. This series really is soooo good, and just seems to get better with each new instalment. I was excited to get my hands on this book, but also a little sad to discover that it’s the final instalment in this fantastic series. Although this can be read as a standalone, I really recommend the other books in this series too- as they are wonderful stories in their own rights. I had high expectations for this book, especially after learning it was the last in the series, so I am incredibly happy to say that Ms. Deaton didn’t let me down- it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be. Ms. Deaton certainly knows how to entice her readers into a story and hold their interest the whole way through. It is very easy to become emotionally invested in her character/s and their wonderful stories- and this book was no different. Zoe Acevedo has left the Air Force to fulfil her dream of opening her own bookstore. She’s strong, determined, and quite independent- but definitely has no filter. This is her ‘new beginning’ after 13 years in the military- leaving her cheating ex, and family problems behind. She’s frustrated that her hunky neighbour keeps finding her in awkward situations. Too bad she doesn’t have time for any distractions, even one as sexy as he is. Tim Larkin is a local police officer and brother of Jase (Book #1). He won me over right away, he’s so swoony. When his sexy new neighbour moved in, he didn’t expect to have to come to her rescue. But he’s just doing his job, right? Protect and serve- that’s what he does, right? Plus, there is a mutual attraction simmering between them? Will their chemistry finally ignite? What happens when disaster strikes? What does the future hold? This had me hook, line, and sinker. This book was an unexpected delight. The author has a strong voice and establishes strong characters in a well developed universe. Beginning to end I found the story compelling and honest. I became emotionally invested very quickly and couldn’t put the book down before finishing the last page.

Can’t Forget is the second book in the Solum series by Colleen S. Myers. It is a new adult, science fiction story with action, adventure, aliens, magic, revenge, romance, and drama. This follows on from book #1, so I really recommend reading the first book before starting on this one, in order to appreciate the story better. As we discovered in the first book, Elizabeth (Beta) Camden went from being a typical college student one minute, to waking up on an alien world, the next. She is thrust into a fight for survival, with much at stake. But not without finding herself in the middle of a love triangle. This book sees Beta in love with Marin (#teamMarin), but the E’mani aren’t going to give up easily and so Beta finds, once again, that danger isn’t far away. But this time she’s determined to take the fight to them. But will this rash decision place the one she loves in the crosshairs? Can she forget the past, in order to embrace the future? A great addition to the series, and just as good as the first book. Beta did develop and grow through the story, but she did frustrate me by trying to handle things by herself, arrrggggh! As with the first book, the world building is excellent, with wonderful descriptions and details. The characters were well crafted, interesting and original. This was a little unpredictable, with surprising developments that kept things interesting. Looking forward to more from Ms. Myers!

My Tragic Life is a Brothers of Camelot series prequel and the second book in My Life series by Necie Navone. I love this series so much! It has everything you could want in a captivating read. There’s action, friendship, grief, loss, camaraderie, longing, suspense, emotion, playful teasing, funny banter, and a lot of drama- in this bloody and somewhat violent, coming of age story, with a twist. It really reminds me of “La Femme Nikita” in a lot of ways- which I also love about it. I think this series would make a brilliant television series or telemovie!! After the riveting events in the last book I devoured this one in a matter of hours because I just HAD to know what happened next. This story picks up 9 months after the shocking event/s at her 15th birthday- and the action starts up pretty much right away. We get a lot more of Aless’s thrilling story- and I. LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE. To recap what’s happened in the previous book- Alessandra Canzano was born into an Italian crime family, the only child of the powerful and ruthless Capo (boss). She is their Princess, treated as royalty and living a fairytale life- until her sixth birthday where gunmen attack, wounding her and changing her life forever. Her father had big plans for her, but after the events on her sixth birthday, he becomes even more controlling and obsessive. Alessandra’s beloved Uncle Louie was tasked with training her- so from the age of six she learnt hand to hand combat, and at eight she began weapons training- and she was to tell no one of her training, or the reasons behind it- keeping that part of her life hidden from her other family, and friends. Here, Aless has kept up with her training and is now a formidable fighter, proficient in both weaponry, as well as hand to hand combat. The events of the last book have strained her relationship with her father and she doesn’t think they will ever recover what they once had. But when danger threatens those she cares about, Aless is forced to embrace her training in order to keep them all safe. What ensues makes for some really exciting, emotional, and gripping reading. But Aless never wanted this life, she dreams of a normal life, free from her gilded cage. She’s determined to find a way to make this happen. Aless seems so mature for her age, I had to keep reminding myself that she was only a teenager (as we follow her story from ages 15, 16 and 17). As I’ve said before, Ms. Navone is a wonderful wordsmith, weaving a superb story that plucked at my heart strings, and had me on the edge of my seat. She brought the story and characters to life, easily pulling me into her world and keeping me enthralled right through till the end. The story is told from several POV’s which gave the story an extra element of interest. Just Superb!

Courage is the second book in The Sisterhood Series by Chelsi Arnold. It is a military action/adventure story that’s set in the future. I highly suggest reading the first book “Brave”, as it really builds the foundations for the series, gives character introductions, and provides a lot of the backstory to this book…. so having all that information would enhance our reading experience of this book. We met Greer in the first book- it’s 2023, times have changed and the 25 year old is among the first women to be drafted and into the military- a first in United States history, and it’s also the first time the Draft has been used since the Vietnam War. World war three has broken out, chaos abounds, Isis is striking the heart of America as well as other places all around the world, and police services are stretched beyond their limits. News broadcasts share all the grim details- which Greer and her family watch with much sadness and horror. Greer is completely outraged and ultimately decides to fight for what she believes in, for what she feels is right. But when things turn sour on a secret mission, Greer’s loyalties are put to the test and she’s forced to make the choice between her teammates lives or defying her orders. The consequences of which bring us to this instalment. This book picks up the storyline and are still coming to terms with the events from their last mission. Losing a team member has cut them to the core. They are fueled by thoughts of avenging her death. But there is a slight glitch to their plans. Suspension. Having to stand back and watch while chaos ensues only makes them all the more determined. What happens you ask? Well, I really recommend reading the book to discover all the gripping details for yourself! A great story about sisterhood, friendship, loyalty, bravery, honour, patriotism, and sacrifice.

The First Backwards Christmas, by Brooke Williams, is a cute & quirky novella set in South Pole, Alaska. Jack and Joyce are a uniquely paired couple and their intricacies make this short story a joy to read. The holiday theme that is paired with this tale makes it sweet and perfect adorable in all ways. Such a quaint town experiencing issues that so many small towns face. How these characters attempt to resolve their concerns was a well paced part of the story.

Aless’ story continues and the author takes us deeper into her story, her growth both in ways she aspires to and those she does not, as well as, the emotional interludes that drive Aless’ on her journey. The strength that is shown in Aless is amazing, under no circumstance could most live or attempt to live their lives with the cards this individual has been dealt. Necie Navone is a strong storyteller and the way she has come at this series is remarkably done. She has created characters with individuality to stand apart, yet flaws that show you their strengths and weaknesses. This is not a simple tale, but one full of suspense, dynamic imagery and twists.

Dangerous Ground is the latest instalment in the Under Ground series by Alice Rachel. It is a Dystopian story where social classes and draconian laws are in force and where food shortages, sickness, and danger are an ever-growing problem. This is Chase and Tina’s story- and it shook me and left me reeling. The story is absolutely heartbreaking in places- this book is so much heavier and more intense than the other books in the series and I was left feeling wrung out afterwards. It’s so full of emotion- with loss, grief, substance abuse, survival, and depression playing a large part of the story. But there’s also action, drama and suspense woven through the storyline. Because of the content of the storyline, I wouldn’t recommend this to younger readers, it’s definitely one for 17/18 years and older. This is a full length novel with lots of interconnected details, characters and information. It is definitely NOT a standalone and should be read as part of the series. Once again Alice Rachel has produced a wonderfully described and vividly detailed story that takes us on a raw, gritty and riveting ride. This book is a little different from the others- having already mentioned the more mature content and the ‘heavier’ storyline, but this story has so many chapters, a lot of which are very quick- but there are so many short scenes, much like flashes of information that we get along the way in this story, which builds a much bigger picture than what I had been expecting. I am still thinking about the story, about what happened and how it made me feel, long after finishing reading it! That ending made me sit up and take notice, that’s for sure! I am both excited to see what the next instalment has in store for us (and the Character), and also a little sad- because it will be the conclusion to this fantastic series!

Jesse (Glass City Hearts Book 3) By Desiree Lafawn. Just when I think I can’t love this series anymore this author blows me away all over again. You can read these as a standalone but you do have past characters showing up. And trust me you’ll want to read them all anyway. Jesse and Harlow are probably my new favorite, each character is unique and so easy to connect with but when they are together it’s amazing how they draw you into their story. I was completely hooked from page one and literally couldn’t put it down until the end and now I’m sad I can’t ever read it for the first time again but I’ll definitely be reading this awesome story again and again! It’s got everything you need in a great memorable story. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone!

Neverland is a thrilling story by Melissa Jane. This is quite gripping story about a dark and twisted obsession that takes the reader on a chilling journey full of danger, shocking abuse, sweet love, heart-stopping details, bigotry, hopelessness, desperation, rage, deprivation, fear, secrets, threats, heartache, and mind boggling twists. I was definitely on the edge of my seat with this read- scrambling to keep up with what was going on and trying to figure out what would happen before anything was revealed. I failed miserably. I could not have predicted that outcome and am still reeling from that shocking ending! I am not even going to try to cover what happens in the book, I think you really are best diving in and reading it blind. There is a reason the blurb is a little vague- and you’ll understand once you finish reading the story. This is definitely one of those “what the fu-dge did I just read” kind of books. It definitely isn’t a fluffy, heart-and-flowers read! So be warned. There are confronting situations, brutal scenes, sad and depressing elements that were all wrapped up in an intense and twisted tale of obsession and captivity. The story sucked the life right out of me, completely sucked me dry- BUT I’d do it all over again!!! The story twists and turns, and really kept me guessing as to how it would all play out. Melissa Jane tormented her character/s, put them trough the fires of hell- more than once!! I kept wondering how much more they would have to endure! Pulse pounding reading that’s for sure. Be warned, this story is not for the feint of heart, it will definitely chew you up and spit you out! Melissa Jane is already on my “Must Read” authors list, and I’m now waiting expectantly for her next book

“I’d wait for you all day if that’s what it took.” awwwww so sweet, right? This whole story is full of clean – swoon worthy romance.
This is the origin story of how South Pole, Alaska became the town known for “Backwards Christmas”. While this is the third book written about this town, it absolutely can be read as a stand-alone and out of order. I’m so glad this book was written because I was always curious how the town came to be known as it was and why the mistletoe was painted on the sidewalk.
This is one of those books that just made me smile the more I read. It is a classic (name of channel redacted because of copyright infringement) Christmas Channel movie that is sweet and predictable and yet so much fun to watch.
I would absolutely recommend this story to my mother’s book club and younger cousins alike.

I love this series. I can not wait to see how it ties in with the Brothers of Camelot. This story is a continuation from My Hidden Life. My Tragic Life is about Aless, the daughter of the Capo. The one that will take his place and rule over The Family and all their illegal businesses. Aless doesn’t want the madness and danger that goes along with being the daughter in training. She has been thinking and planning of a way out for a couple of years.
This story is easy to read except when Aless become a killing machine to protect her family. I loved watching her grow and learn through out these two stories. Her feelings about the “men” in her life, especially Grayson and Luigi make me laugh, blush and sigh right along with her. She is probably the strongest female character I have ever read about.
Even though Aless didn’t show much emotion during a rather difficult situation, as a reader I sure cried like a baby. I am looking forward to reading the next book and finding out how Aless gets away or if she changes her mind and rules like her father. I also want to see where the Brothers of Camelot come into play. Definitely recommend this book.

A beautiful yet tragic romance. Lucy has a hard life of abuse and just when she thinks she is out of it, she gets thrown back in. Dominic is obsessed with her and is jealous of people get to close to what is his. I honestly could not put this book down. It was full of heartbreaking events but the authors depiction of the story is magnificent. I was pulled in from the first chapter. There is a good amount of violence and abuse that takes place in the novel so readers who are bothered by that should not read this book.

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3) by Abbie Roads was a unique, heart pounding, paranormal thriller, that had me hooked from start to finish.
My first read by this author and for this series. Again, if you know me, I tend to read books out of order, but no worries this book reads as a standalones. And form what I have researched about this original series, so do the other books. That being said, this book isn’t like anything I have read before. It puts a new spin on crime dramas, and that uniqueness adds something more than special and extra, it makes it stand out and memorable.
I love finding these, out-of-box reads; it has taken something has has been done and elevates it into something rare and as I said, memorable. What I liked the most was the excellent balance of good with the dark and twisty. The tone shifts were on point and really brought this tale to life. Our MC was topnotch, well rounded and believable. His emotions were raw and powerful, not only in love but in his ambition to do what’s right.
Overall this book is a solid 5 star read. If the other books are anything like this one, then I’m missing out and need to go back and read the other two books. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will be addicted to this book.

Neverland is not an easy story to read. It’s full of torment and sadness and unthinkable acts. This is the dark swirling abyss of the Underworld, the seedy underbelly, the lives of those from broken homes and bad circumstances. Right and wrong have no place here. So much evil in this one book. So much destruction. Tiny moments of hope that only get ripped away. If you are in the mood for mobsters, strippers, thugs, and more, read this. It made me sad and stressed and got my heart pumping.

Bound by Blood is Book 3 In the Crescent City Wolf Pack Series from author Carrie Pulkinen. This is my third read from this author and yet she still continues to surprise me with how brilliant each book is and how she captivates me even more with each book in this series. I can’t wait to see what else she brings to this series. While these books are written as part of a series, you can easily read these as stand-alone but I highly recommend that you read in order just for you to enjoy this incredible world this author has created.
This book was action packed, mysterious, suspenseful, fast-paced and thrilling, it has romance, passion & sexiness. This is an amazing read that hooks you in from the beginning and brings you on this amazing rollercoaster of a ride with some incredible characters. We are given twists and turns throughout that keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what could happen next.
In this read Alexis & Bryce are our main characters in this read, and while we follow them on their journey we also get introduced to new and existing characters. From first meeting Alexis & Bryce in Book 1 I couldn’t wait for them to finally get their own back story. These two had sparks flying from the start – after reading Alexis backstory you can understand more of reasons of why she is that way. But finally seeing Bryce & Alexis get a story together they both take a journey in this read that is needed for the both of them!. With a couple of twists and turns this once again makes for an incredible read for any lover of the Paranormal Romance genre.
This book should not be missed – either shall it’s series! Don’t miss this one!

This is one of those books that when you first read the blurb you are a little unsure about but once you are finished you are so glad that you read it. I will admit the front cover didn’t catch my eye so this definitely falls in to the ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ category. The story was a little different to what I normally read but a change is good sometimes. I thought that the author created a really exciting and mysterious world in this story, through her excellent descriptive language I felt like I was right there amongst the characters. I loved that I couldn’t guess what was going to happen and the author kept me guessing right until the very end. The author made me feel like I was part of the story as I was so immersed in trying to find out who did it! If you love a good murder mystery full of suspense and exciting moments then I would absolutely recommend ‘Tomb for an Eagle’ – I don’t think that you will be disappointed!

This book is so enjoyable. I loved it! I picked this up because with that title how could it not be a wickedly good read. Turns out Frank has not much of a filter. He is brash and basically says what he thinks regardless of who it’s too. Male, female, boss or friend…he holds nothing back. He is known for being a grump and never smiling or laughing plus he has no boundaries. So when he meets his doppelgänger but as a woman. Well his life is about to change.
I love the secondary characters especially Joe. His best friend. He teases him mercilessly….and I even laughed and made the “OH” face a few times with the things he said. He also is there when he needs him and gives him good advice. Lia is another who comes up with the whackiest things to irritate her bestie, Frankenburger or Frank and Beans or any other name she can think of. As well as her Swear Words! OMG! I love it! Such a great idea to make her memorable! When all the friends get together it’s funny but when they try “roast”Frank in front of his girl….hilarious!
This is a good solid book that even had me worrying about Frank a few times. It’s actually a fun read and the time sped by fairly quickly. I enjoy how Frank is telling the story but at times also talking to the reader. The characters were all Whack-a-Doodles but that’s what made me like them. Each is quirky in their own way. This is the first in the series and I can’t help but wonder about Joe….is he next???

Ahhh this book!!! I have spent ages trying to decide what to give it as star rating it has me all tied up – on one hand I was totally captivated by it, it was exciting, unpredictable, full of angst but that ending! Oh my gosh what is this author trying to do to me! This really was a brilliantly written story; I honestly could not put it down. The author has this amazing way of grabbing your attention straight away and not letting you out until the end, I was so immersed in the story that I didn’t see the twists and turns coming at all. I think that this is one of those books that whatever I say will not do the book justice – it has to be read to be understood just how fantastic a read it was. This book should definitely be one-clicked today!!! After reading two books by this author I cannot wait to read more from her again in the future.

A great read about staying. Alexis Gentry has never stayed in one place for long, a rogue werewolf always on her own. Bryce Samuels is a policeman who has always found Alexis attractive, but never got the chance. When she gets into trouble with a werewolf exboyfriend, she ends up in hospital. Wanting to help her, Bryce looks after her and lets her stay at his house even thought she is reluctant. Will she run in fear of getting hurt or will she stay? A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Bryce helping people with kind nature underneath harsh personality or Alexis standing up for herself but also struggling with her fears. a great addition to the trilogy from a different perspective. also brilliant with the theme of how sometimes not all mental battles can be won, both in Alexis and also in the suicide rescue department which was perfectly written. I also loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the woods and the moon full of spooky natural imagery that was also calming and beautiful to add to the supernatural elements of the novel. i also loved the feel of the small town with its little cafes and cobbled streets to add to the sense of magic and mystery which was beautifully written. Or the scenes at the wedding full of people and life and colour with the dresses but also crowded nature for Alexis which was perfectly done. and the use of the senses throughout the novel with scents and tastes as if you were actualy there. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Well this was another delightful and fun addition to The Confectioner Chronicles. This is actually a prequel novella, so reads like one and is a quick light read. I devoured it in one short sitting. The first book, ‘The Confectioner’s Guild’, which I ADORED, featured our main character, Hale in this one. I really enjoyed the fact that we got the backstory of him. Hale has it all, literally. Good looks, riches, the family hierarchy. However, it isn’t all it seems under the surface. Especially when something happens and it is all ripped away from him. Now he is on the run and forced to fend for himself. He has never had to do this before, so imagine the difficulty and the story lines this makes for. Can he survive on his own? I am dying to get my hands on the next book, ‘The Confectioner’s Truth.’ I will just be over her salivating… Thanks for another great read Claire Luana!

This is a perfect story! I have read one of the others in the series and it intrigued me. Wondering how it all got started. This book answers my questions. It is short and sweet but gives me everything I needed. The characters in here have such spirit. I enjoy not only their names but what they bring to the story. It almost seems magical. Very cute and enjoyable.

What a great series! Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set is by K.L. Montgomery and features the first three books in the series. You don’t want to miss out! The entire series features women who aren’t so confident with themselves and their bodies. But by the end most of them find that confidence and find love with really hot men! First book is Fat Girl. This book is about a woman who finds herself divorced after years of marriage as well as a single mother. This one isn’t much of a romantic book as it is one where the main characters finds herself and really falls in love with herself. This was a great “awakening” book for someone who just isn’t happy with their life at the moment. The second book is The Flip. This book is about a woman who is a true rocket scientist! She finds herself flipping a house with her childhood arch enemy. While doing so she finds who she really is and what she really wants to do with her life. The best part is she ends up falling in love with said arch enemy. This is a really cute and quirky story that I fell in love with! The third book in this set is Plot Twist. The woman in this book is a shy high school teacher. However, when she sings she forgets how shy she really is and has a powerhouse voice. The male lead in this book is an actor on the side and of course is very handsome. Both decided to try out for a community play at the same center that the male lead from book 2 opened. This was so much fun to read! I absolutely adore this series and have read all the books! I cannot wait to read what Ms. Montgomery has up her sleeve next!

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is book two in the My Life series by Necie Navone. It continues as the Princess grows a little older, a little tougher, and way too fast. Her strength cannot be measured, and her steely determination for change and individuality is paramount. She has seen things not many people should see at such a young age, and while it would destroy most, it just gives the Princess more conviction to do it her way, and in her time. She goes about her business in a controlled and calm manner, surprising many and impressing all.
The further into this series I delve, the more I enjoy the story and its characters. I really connect with the way this author displays the suspense, the plot twists, and how each character grows and develops. This is one hugely addictive series, and I cannot wait for more. 5 stars

Most Have Faith is the second book in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. I have to say this series gets better and better. This story hooked me from the very first page, I just couldn’t put it down. Greg Mallory is a cop in the Darling Cove, struggling to put his life back together after his fiancée left him at the altar ten years before. Faith is the woman who left Greg behind, without a word and now she is moving back to town. This second chance romance had my emotions going all over the place, laughing one minute and wanting to throw my tablet across the room at the next. The chemistry is off the charts and both of them want to deny that they still have feelings for each other. This is a must read book and series by Ms. Garland. I can’t wait to read what she has in store for us with Skye’s story.
