Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley is another explosive romantic suspense story in this series. It’s a no brainer when I see Amy’s name come up I just know the story will be outstanding. I have been patiently waiting for this book and I wasted no time flying through it once I had it. This romantic suspense story is dark and dangerous and full of action, revenge and violence but that is what makes it a great read. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time and the intensity and suspense just pops of the page. The characters are complex and have a lot of depth but you can’t help but love them.
He is the heir to the throne but his enemies know just where to hit him the hardest and that just maybe their biggest mistake.

Spoilsport by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers Book 2) by Belinda Williams is a steamy but sweet Rom Com read, with an almost enemies to lover’s kinda feel to it. I love the well-developed characters and their energy for their love of living life to the fullest and their game playing. It is fun and engrossing and full of chemistry. In this story it is opposites attract.
Nadia’s new house is in desperate need of repair but the problem is she had a one night stand with the one person who can help her. She is a little carefree and wild but kinda a bit of a biatch and not looking for relationships. I really wanted to smack her, a lot.
Luke is getting over a divorce and a dad but he has never gotten over his one night stand with her but could they make it work. I told him to stay away from her but did he listen? No.
Anyway aside from Nadia’s biatchiness I really enjoyed this story.

Olivia was born and raised in Oklahoma but her heart belongs to the ocean. When she’s not traveling to the beach as much as she can, she spends her time hiking the small mountains of southern Oklahoma with her two kids and goofy rescue dog, planting flowers in her garden, or doing yoga in her living room. She may also be found curled up on the couch, her two cats in the crook of her legs, reading a good book.

Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Blood Oath was a thrilling 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
I love the connection that these two had and you could feel it coming off the pages.
Sofia is getting ready for her first fashion show when danger rears its ugly head. It also brings someone back to her she hasn’t had a connection with in years. When they were younger they had made a blood oath and he vowed to always protect her until a nasty twist of fate changed things for them.
Will Enzo be able to protect her? Will they be able to keep their hearts out of it?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. You get some steamy scenes, danger, suspense and so much more. The secondary characters added a great element to the story, I loved how protective her brothers were. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Rock Me To The Top was a great read! It was entertaining, romantic, spicy, and slightly suspenseful. I very much enjoyed reading about a band on tour. It definitely makes for an interesting story. I felt like this was more of a slow burn romance, but once the romance started it was spicy. I could hardly put this book down. Reading this I felt like I was right there with the characters. Zak did a great job with this story. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series!

Second book into this amazing series and Ms. McKinley has hit it out of the park again!!! Blood Oath is the second fantastic book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. As with the first book, this is a brilliant mafia romance- a romantic suspense story with an action-packed plot, secrets, dramatic developments, mafia politics, intrigue, tension, chemistry, steamy encounters, emotion, and more…
This book continues what we started in book one, but this is Sofia and Enzo’s story (whom we met in book one as supporting characters). I loved all the interconnected details and intriguing threads that Ms. McKinley is weaving through her stories, and series. It makes for riveting reading. I have a new addiction and I can’t wait for my next fix!!!
Seriously, if you love mafia romance, and/or romantic suspense, then you definitely won’t want to miss this exciting story/series!!!
Enjoy!
Thank you, Amy McKinley!

Neglected by a father who put the power of knowledge before his child. What attraction can do to the opposite sex. It can make you abandon your morals to make an impression on your crush. A book inside a book that choose who can understand the text that is written. For the ones who aren’t chosen is just gibberish.

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After Book 2) by Stephanie Harrell. First and foremost let me just say that I’m so incredibly excited to see where this author takes readers, she’s new to me and I’m so excited for more. From page one I knew I’d be losing some sleep and it was worth every minute I lost. The characters are complex and relatable, they so easily brought me into their world and I didn’t want to leave them when the time came. I’ll be remembering these characters for a while and I’m kinda excited to add it to my read again list! It’s well written and paced nicely. These characters will definitely steal a piece of your heart and you’ll be just fine letting them have it trust me. Five huge stars and highly recommended.

Nite Fire: Smoke & Mirrors is the third book in the Nite Fire Series by C.L. Schneider. This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend you read this series in order because C.L. Schneider is such a great storyteller and world builder that you definitely won’t want to miss all the great backstory. This story is full of action and adventures. The characters are fantastic and so detailed it feels like you are investigating right alongside them. This book is a real roller coaster of a ride, so buckle up and jump on this wonderful ride.
This book is also narrated by Cassandra L. King, like the first two books. I love the tone of her voice and she really brings the characters to life. I can’t wait to listen to the next installment.

Rock Me to the Top: A Gracefall Rock Star Romance by Victoria Zak
This is the first book I’ve read by Zak. Rock Me to the Top is a great read. I will be looking forward to other books by Zak. I hope each book is just as good as this one.
Melody is the daughter of legendary Rock Star Leo Sterling. She is also Joe Grace’s best friend. She’s always had a dream of playing for the LA orchestra, but things didn’t work out for her. The quote I chose for Melody is: “Guess I can’t totally fault Dylan for last night. I’m sure it’s going to be hard to trust the guy who stole his girl. Hopefully, we won’t have a repeat tonight at the party.”
Joe is the drummer of his own band Gracefall. He lands in LA and calls the one person who will be happy with the news he just got. Then he goes and invites her to come on the road with them. The quote I chose for Joe is: “No, I promised myself I’d give you some alone time. Grab a nap, call room service, whatever you like.”
Highly recommended for New Adult Romance.

Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Carter and Vanessa’s story is sweet and touching. I have loved reading this series and that is why I was a bit sad when certain bits of the story fell flat for me. There could have been more details and the story could have been filled out a bit to add to it that mystical, suspenseful, romantic bent that really set these stories apart from other paranormal romances.
Carter is a healer and fortuitously a doctor by trade. Vanessa finds a neighbor at death’s door and rushes him to the emergency where she meets Carter and the sparks fly.
So while this book was far from my favorite in this series I am not giving up on AJ Renee. I still loved the first three books and have high hopes for book 5.

What do you get when you cross a witch and a werewolf? Mystical multicolored sparks that fly off every surface available! Book three in the Broderick Coven is an amazing tale of good verses evil, curses verses blessings. Or blessings amid curses rather!
Emotionalpalooza, this book will have you laugh, cry, cover your mouth so you don’t scream out loud. (A warning … this book contains content that may trigger some people who have dealt with abusive situations) however the author dealt with it in a very classy way. While book two remains my favorite so far in this series I absolutely cannot wait for the fourth installment! AJ Renee is definitely on my list of favored authors!

I really enjoyed this elven story. The characters are multi-faceted and complex; they have weathered their own hardships and become very interesting characters. A lot happens in the plot, and I was hooked, wondering what would happen next. Nix and Zoe are both great heroes, even though they each doubt themselves in different ways. Their mentor manages to be supportive, encouraging, and helpful, nudging them into confronting their demons, but never over-stepping or pointing the way. Despite their misgivings, they are destined for greatness, and I enjoyed every minute of watching them grow into the confident, capable beings they were meant to be. I look forward to the continuation of the story.

Sea Mage is a delightful tale with lots of fun and intrigue. Serena is a great heroine – intelligent, brave, and never shies away from defending a loved one. Her membership in the Nightshade Guild, and relationships with other sea friends and familiars make for great character development. The tiny future elven queen is an adorable toddler, whose knowledge and strength exceed her years. I loved following this story, and love affair, through all the twists and turns as Serena demonstrates just how much a sea mage is capable of. This is a very fun story, I recommend it.

Series novels that have a continuing arc are my favorite reads especially when they continue to show you previous characters stories intertwined with the new stars of the next novels. This series does just that and we continue to catch glimpses into Brandy’s life. Brandy was the heroine in book one, Cursed Love. You definitely want to start with book one. These stories are intertwined and really can not be read as a stand alone book.
In this book we follow Brandy’s brother, Ethan who had just found out he is an Oracle and Serena who is High Priestess of her coven. Will their attraction turn to love and will their love be strong enough to defy even the strongest magical forces? HEA ahead!!! AJ Renee has a new fan! I am on to book three!! Ashes of Aldyr by Russell Archey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was my first read of a book by Russell Archey. I was prepared for a typical dystopian fantasy tale, was I ever wrong. Nothing about Ashes of Aldyr is typical. It has a unique premise and writing style with unique characters and with what I like to call “grab you by the throat and drag you between the covers” feel to it.
The story begins with an event known as “The Rupture”. Instantly throwing the reader into the action, drama and plight of all characters that are affected. I love learning about each character’s specific challenge in each new chapter. The characters and world Mr. Archey created is so detailed you really get a sense of having been there and met the characters.
I felt this was a great entry book to this series and can’t wait for book two!!

By Manda Mellett
I am so happy that I got to know Red better. The author took us back to where Red came from. I went through so many emotions while reading Red’s story, I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. Before Red became one of the Santans Devils he met a girl while he was heading south to start his new life and she went along for a short time but decided to go back home and leave Red, that didn’t stop him from thinking about her has he got older. This is an excellent read and I cannot believe I have to wait until the end of November to read the second part of this story. Every book I read by this author blows me away. This is definitely one of my favorite authors and each of these books draw me in and keep ahold of me so much so that I don’t want the stories to end. This book is no different, I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this book.

As this was a new author to me I went in not knowing what to expect… I was enjoyably surprised by how attached and emotional I got while reading this story. These characters were interesting, relatable, and well-written. What a great start to the series and I can’t wait to read more.

A fully-loaded start to the series! What I enjoyed most about this book was the complex world-building and well-rounded characters. Starting from Nix’s background story to Zoe’s beginning, we learn about their dark lives before the two meet. Though their reasons are their own, the two are like two halves of a whole in the events of the book and hold your attention from the first page until the last. The fantastical elements in this YA story are more like the complex elements you see in other/older books – but done in a clean way. Twilight’s Curse has set the pace for what I hope to be an enthralling next couple of books!

What a great second book!! Completely love this series! Ms. McKinley does a fantastic job of making her characters realistic and personable. Enzo and Sofia’s lives are entwined by tragedy from when they were younger. In response, Enzo takes a blood oath to protect her no matter what. When someone from the past comes back to haunt Sofia, demanding answers about a cover up, it requires Enzo to uphold his end of the oath. Will Sofia be able to confide in Enzo or will more tragedy strike before he can save her from the past?
The Mafia princesses and their men are fascinating! The world that they live in is dangerous and the men even more so to their hearts. I was instantly drawn in to the story of these families and at this point, I feel invested and cannot wait for the next one!
Definitely an adult book.

This book was one I truly had a problem putting down. I’m not sure if it was the story or the writing style the author, but I was constantly thinking about the book when I wasn’t reading it wondering what was going to happen next. Then I got to a point that I wasn’t going to sleep until I was done. Not going to lie, work the next day sucked.
Joe and Melody’s history growing up together made the story a little sweeter in my eyes and I couldn’t get enough of them. The dynamic between the two of them and the guys in the band just did it for me.
There will be some frustration, laughter swooning and tears along the journey but I don’t regret a minute of lost sleep.
