This book was really well written. I didn’t know where this was going and it was page turner for me. Whose behind all of these mysterious murders? Would McAllister really go against Lucifers orders? Why was Jude being kept from his daughter? Would enmity be between Dylan and Lucifer? Keep reading to find out. This book is really engage it. I recommend it for youth and up. My kids would enjoy this.

Tenacious (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 6) by Via Mari 4 Stars
The story continues this time with Allie and Nick. Allie is Lexie’s best friend. A nurse by profession, she’s in-depth, head strong and used to getting her own way. She’s been burned before in the past therefore wants nothing to do with Nick. Her hormones and heart are telling her otherwise. Still under protection from Darwin, she’s in constant close proximity of him. The more she’s with him, the more the attraction grows. Nick knew she was the one the first time he laid eyes on her. He just needs to convince her. He’ll do everything in his power to protect her even if she doesn’t want it.
This story will have you hooked from the beginning. There is romance, action, danger and of course Nick (who is hot as hell). Although this can be read as a stand-alone, this series is amazing! You should read the others as well just for your pure enjoyment.

Book 2! Well it’s definitely been interesting to say the least! I’m still debating which book I liked more, despite knowing book 3 is next. In saying that I love them both! It had a few moments where I actually laughed out loud. The Girl and the Gargoyle by Pauline Gruber takes us further into Lucy’s story. Dylan and Jude are definitely my favorite characters. Lucy is actually quite annoying at times and all Marcus does is brood. There’s a war coming and it’s time for training to prepare. Jude is being hunted by a protector, a gargoyle, who just happens to be Marcus’ father. On top of the fact the threat of Seamus still remains. Getting deeper into the author’s world, I want to be part of it! I can’t wait to get my hands on book 3 to continue this series!

The Girl and the Demon : YA Paranormal Romance (The Girl and the Raven #3) by Pauline Gruber
Not the first book I’ve read by Gruber. This is the third book in The Girl and the Raven Series. The Girl and The Demon is an amazing book.
Lucy is missing her father and she doesn’t want Marcus to leave. She isn’t sure where her dad went, but she isn’t going to stop looking for him. Now not only is Marcus leaving, but her uncles are finally getting married. The quote I chose for Lucy is: “That’s nice of you. I will keep you posted once I know when Jude will be home.”
Marcus doesn’t want to leave Lucy when he goes to meet the coven. He thinks that once everything is settled then he can go back to being normal. Then Lucifer comes along and now the one he loves is in danger. The quote I chose for Marcus is: “The council is taking a hard position with my mother. They believe she and Garret were equally responsible. They want somebody’s head. Since Garret’s dead, they are going after her.”

The Elements of the Crown is the first book in Kay L Moody’s magical The Elements of Kamdaria series, collecting what were originally four shorter novellas. It’s an enchanting fantasy story that follows young Talise as she uses her magic powers to escape from the poverty and danger she was born into. There’s some excellent world-building here. I was particularly interested in the justice system, which punishes whole families when one commits a crime. It was fascinating to explore how that would work, and how people in power would attempt to justify it. This is a great story for fans of magic schools. Talise is a cool protagonist, and the high-stakes social mobility situation adds to the tension, with plenty of other sources of tension and intrigue. It’s aimed at teen/YA readers but will be enjoyable for older fantasy lovers as well! This book gets five stars from me – I’d better get on to the next book! I’m glad I read the collected volume rather than the separate novellas as they would definitely all have left me wanting more, but reading the novellas separately might be preferable for a less confident reader who would benefit from something they can get through more easily.

The final book in the series and it does not disappoint. All Lucy wants is to live the life of a normal teenage girl, but the fates have other ideas for her. Just as she is beginning to establish some type of relationship with her demon father, he is whisked away by Lucifer. Lucy can’t even just settle into a normal routine with Marcus as he is now delving into his own history with the gargoyle clan and she isn’t welcome.
Pauline Gruber is a great author. She is able to write a scene you can envision in your head. Her characters are very relatable and loveable. Her story lines are very easy to follow. I can’t wait for more by this author.

The third and final installment in this YA Paranormal Romance Series, The Girl and The Demon, takes us to the depths of hell. Lucy’s BFF, trying to save Lucy, accidentally summons Lucifer, the most powerful devil in the realm. With elaborate storytelling, astronomical, unforgettable twists, and complex characters this series will stay in your mind long after you close the cover on book three. This story really brings the series to a full completion and while I would love to see Lucy have a continuing story later on, yet I am very pleased with the unpredictable outcome of this book. This is officially going on my TO BE READ AGAIN list! Thank you Pauline Gruber for bringing us such a unique paranormal coming of age story!

Red’s Peril by Manda Mellett is the first part of the making on an MC Prez series, which follows the Satan’s Devils MC Las Vegas chapter. I am already a big fan of this series so this book was a real treat for me, I really enjoyed finding out Red made his way from being a small town mechanic in Vermont to becoming the President of the MC. Red is a complex character who, although initially unwilling to join an MC, finds that the biker way of life not only suits him but he thrives in it. However, he cannot get past the one who got away. Although this is part of a bigger series this book can be read as a standalone, I am eagerly awaiting part two to be released. The cast of characters that the author creates in this world are excellent, you get to know all the different personalities of the club members and their old ladies and I love how the different stories intersect each other. I really recommend this book (and all the other Satan’s Devils MC books) to anyone who is a fan of this genre.

The second installment in this paranormal, romantic novel full of mystery, intrigue and suspense, The Girl and The Gargoyle takes the reader deeper into the mystical world that Lucy finds herself thrown into. The complexity of the characters in this novel really makes it seem as if they are close friends rather than book friends. I thought the first book would be my favorite YA paranormal romance of the year, but I have come to the conclusion that this series will be my favorite YA Paranormal Romances of the year. These are not stand alone novels you really need the information in each one to move forward, but you won’t regret picking up this series. I am heading into book three and cannot wait for what I am sure will be the thrilling conclusion to this series!

Tenacious by Via Mari is the 6th book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series and although this can be read as a stand alone I would recommend reading the previous books in order to understand some of the references to past events and the other characters and how their relationships intersect. The story follows Allie, a strong independent woman, and Nick, the ultimate protective alpha male who is singularly focused on getting what he wants…Allie. This is a fast paced action packed book with likable characters who you root for. I would recommend to fans of this genre.

The struggle of good verses evil takes a twisted turn when Lucy Walker begins to have disconcerting encounters with the unexplainable. Every moment of this story is filled with action and adventure and was completely packed with unforeseeable twists and turns. The Author, Pauline Gruber, writes in such detail that she literally brings this story and it’s characters to life. So excellent was this story I couldn’t put it down. In fact not only couldn’t I put it down but I instantly picked up the next book just to get more of this story! In one word it was … Phenomenal!

This second installment of the Girl and the Raven series is a great continuation to the storyline. Lucy Walker is finally coming into her powers and learning who she is as a person and beginning to find affections for her newly found father.
In this book, the focus is no longer just on Lucy. Marcus’ mother and father who abandoned him with his step father, now want a relationship with him and have him lead the Gargoyle clan. Great, except for the fact that a gargoyle’s job is to kill demons! This book includes many fights and a great deal of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Rock Me to the Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One) by Victoria Zak
4 out of 5 stars
Rock me to top was a great beginning to what looks to be a great new rock star series. Joe and Mel’s captures you and pulls you in. The characters are well developed with little quirks that make them seem real. I Can’t wait for the next book.
Joe’s band Gracefall is on the verge of a breakthrough, while Joe embraces the rock-and-roll lifestyle, Melody vows to never date a rock star. Especially with painful childhood memories and scars influence their career and dating choices. Melody couldn’t be happier for her best friend, even thou she needs to step back. But what happens when he offers her a job as the tour manager will she accept? Will the job and fame destroy their friendship or have them take the next step? You will need to read this story to find out.

This is the second book in the Can’t Resist You series and wow they just keep getting better and better. You really need to read the first book to get the story about the Resistance and what they are fighting against. In the first story we followed the ups and downs of Hunter and Rain’s relationship and these characters are still present in this book.
This book follows on from the first with the story of Derek and Julia. All Derek has known is bring with the Resistance, his main passion is saving people and setting them free. However that changes when he meets Julia.
Julia was a prisoner who get rescued in the last book by Rain, Hunter and Derek. Although there is a strong connection between Julia and Derek she feels to broken to even think of another man in that way. However as time progresses and she starts to recover both Julia and Derek start to see each other in a different light. Meanwhile the Resistence is still trying to move forward but how they can free people when they don’t even realise they are free?
This book is full of tears and joy, danger, lies and deceit as well as a beautiful love story about two broken souls coming together to heal one another and make an impact on the broken world around them.

This is the first book that I have read by Russel Archey and it did not disappoint. The first book in a trilogy and it was a perfect start to grab my attention and keep me excited for the next book. I really enjoyed how the author was able to weave a multi-layered story into a dystopian world. I found myself getting lost in this unique writing style.
The world of Alda is broken, destroyed by an event the survivors call “The Rupture.” All the different stories told within this story line forming a larger tapestry that shows the scope of the horror and insanity brought by the elusive and mind-numbing entity known as the Obscure Throne. The world was once saved from this threat and Alda was hidden and sealed away by 55 seals. Now, an ancient and shadowy cult called the Black Gnarl have broken enough seals to expose Alda to the Obscure Throne.

When Grace believes she has nowhere to go she does the unspeakable and joins her friends band as Tour Manager. Grace has lived through this world with her dad beginning a world famous rock drummer but when her feelings start stirring for her best friend is this really a world to develop true feelings.
Grace and Joe has been friends since childhood and when Grace decides to become the Tour Manager for Gracefall the band Joe is apart of but will the hidden feelings from both of them be able to blossom in the toxic world of music. You will have to read to find out.
This is the first story I have read by this author and I loved it, it was well written and the characters where well defined, with the secondary characters adding to the story. I loved the close relationship between Grace and Joe and there love for each other really comes through with the story.
I would love to ready the next book in this series and other books by this author.

This book was wonderfully written by Victoria Zak that leaves readers wanting more! It gives you a peek inside the life of band Gracefall and it’s drummer Joe Grace and his best friend Melody Sterling. It’s got a little bit of everything, romance heartbreak, and a little steamy scenes sprinkled in there. Tragedy strikes the band leaving the band mates brokenhearted, but they are able to pick themselves up and brush the dust off and keep going. Melody is offered the chance of a lifetime twice! Girl has sass and a whole lotta brass. I loved reading this book and can’t wait for the next one to come out!!!!!

Joe and his band Gracefall have made it big…they have been chosen to headline a tour. When they get the news, Joe can’t wait to share the news with the one woman who means everything to him…his best friend, Mel.
Mel just received some devastating news (in terms of her career) and is not sure where to go from here. When Joe offers her a job as their tour manager, she is wary for two reasons: 1-she is the daughter of a rock legend and knows what tour looks like in terms of parties and booze and 2-she and Joe are barely holding that friendship line they put down and she is afraid if anything happens they could ruin everything. After talking with her dad, she takes the gig.
While Gracefall is definitely a group of rockstars that works hard and parties harder, Mel finds herself wanting more with Joe but denying herself because of their friendship. Joe has decided that he wants more and is willing to make her see that they could be great. However, every time they think about taking that step, something happens that keeps it from happening. But, when they finally get some time alone, years of repressed feelings surge to to forefront and a beautiful relationship begins. It is not smooth sailing…as they are rockstars and everyone has their own baggage and insecurities. Their relationship is tested multiple times. And, when tragedy strikes, can they hold it together? Or are their lives destined to go in two different directions?
I enjoyed reading about Joe and Mel. All the other guys in the band are great characters and I would love to know more about their stories. I hope they have books in the future.

This was another incredible book by Brittany Anne’s Can’t resist you series. I though ally enjoyed the first one so when I seen there was a book 2, I was super excited to read this one, and I was not disappointed. This book starts off after book 2, the characters are well written and the main points of who they are, are set. There was a lot at stake for both characters, Derek and Julia. This was so well written that It was like I could actually feel the feelings that were being written about. How scared or unsure about something, the sadness but the joy, it gave me all the feelings. I was hooked in with this book right from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. I really wanted to know what was going to happen next. I really can’t wait for more adventures from this series. Amazing read, and page turner for sure.

Red’s Peril: The Making of an MC Prez (Part One) is book 1 Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter series. This is not a standalone book and ends in a cliffhanger. For people who have read all of the related Satan’s Devils MC series, you’ll find a few places that might be a little slow as they recap events from those other books. If this is the first Satan’s Devils book you’ve picked up, some of the recapped events may contain spoilers to other stories. I have to say, while I always appreciate the research this author does on real-to-life events and have enjoyed all of the books I’ve read in this world thus far, this one has a completely different feel to it. I’m not sure if it was all of the recapping or what exactly, but I found myself skimming through several places to get to the more pertinent parts of Red’s story. I’m not saying it’s a bad read, but as someone who has read other books in this world, it didn’t pack quite the punch the others have. Still, I’ll be reading book two at some point because I do want to find out how things play out based on the events at the very end of this book.

Rock Me To The Top is the first book in the Gracefall Rock Star Romance series by Victoria Zak. This was the first time that I had read any of this author’s writing but I love a rock star romance so decided to give it a go. I’m so glad that I did as I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this series and get to know the other guys in the band better. In this book we get the story of Gracefall’s drummer, Joe Grace and his best friend Melody Sterling who he hires to be the band’s tour manager on their first ever headline tour. Melody is no stranger to the rock n roll lifestyle as she’s the daughter of a rock legend drummer. I loved reading Joe and Melody’s story. As well as being a rock star romance, it’s also a friends to lovers romance which is another trope that I love reading. These two are just perfect for each other and Joe is determined that by the end of the tour, Melody will be more than just his best friend. This book gives a great insight into life on the road for a rock band: the boring hours spent travelling from city to city as well as the high’s of performing in front of thousands of adoring fans. I really enjoyed this book, it’s well written and the story flows well, keeping the reader engaged. I’d definitely recommend Rock Me To The Top.

This was a truly creative and whimsical story of a young prince trying save his kingdom. Young Nix saw his parents die while trying to save him after the Royal Tree was breached by the bad elves. Their child, Zoe, as it turns out; is one to help and is torn with love family loyalty (you’ll learn about that in the story). She is the one also help Nix take his Kingdom back from her parents. This story has all the feels. I had tears, chuckled a few chuckled, got a little pissed and felt all the feels with the characters. i love the action and the fact that you feel engaged in the story. It is written for young adults; yet all ages will enjoy it. It grabbed my attention from the start and I couldn’t put it down. I am raising my grandson. I am tickled to see such exciting and adventurous books coming out that I can actually enjoy with him. It gives us something to talk about other than Legos, but we might build dragons so this story has been two fold. Thanks for writing such a good book. I can’t wait for the next book. Readers, get out there and get a copy. You won’t be sorry. Highly recommend.

Rick Me to the Top by Victoria Zak is book one of the Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour series. I really enjoyed this book! I couldn’t put it down!
Melody knows what dating a rockstar can do to a relationship. After all, look at what happened to her parents. She’s be out of her mind to willingly do that to herself. If that lifestyle is not for her, why does she find herself agreeing to go on the summer tour with Joe. Yes, he’s her best friend and she’s found herself down on her luck but surely she’s crazy. She never thought she’d start to fall for this fantasy. Joe and Melody have been best friends forever but new feelings come to light while they are touring. Can they survive the rockstar lifestyle or will they be torn apart?
Joe and Melody have a great relationship considering they’ve been best friends. I really like the best friends to lovers angle. Melody is so strong. She’s been through a lot in life and she knows what she wants. Joe is really sweet and protective and together they are great. I really enjoyed these characters as well as their story! I can’t wait to read more!

Check In (Bobbins Sisters Series Book 2) by Debra Parmley is a romantic suspense story. A stalker on the prowl, a bank robbery, some mystery, a little intrigue and some suspense and romance that round off the story. I would have liked the story to be longer though. I think the author’s writing style is better off aimed for a younger audience, NA, or YA perhaps. The romance is sweet, and the characters were likeable but the chemistry between them was lacking. It just wasn’t a page turner for me. That being said, it is just my thoughts; you however may love it. Reviewed by @jennadb

This is the first book that I have read from this author and wow she had me at the first chapter. I love a good romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the embrace tomorrow duet. I could not put this book down until the end and it only took me a little over a day to devour this incredible story.
Tori loves her job as a psychologist. She helps terminally ill patients and their families to find peace. Tori learns about a young man who wants to die all alone and she wants to see it for herself. She meets Will, who is a very cute guy with the most beautiful green eyes she has ever seen. Tori starts to build a relationship with Will but she knows one day he will die. She wants him to fight so they can be together longer. Will Tori be enough for Will to fight for or will he give up on both of them?

Born to Fall is the second book in the Can’t Resist You series by Brittany Anne. I absolutely LOVED the first book in this series, so I was beyond excited to see this second instalment had released. Again, as with the first, this is a Sci-fi romance with post-apocalyptic and dystopian themes, resistance fighters, high stakes, and dangerous turns. I have to say that this second book is just as good, if not even better than the first book. I am officially addicted to Brittany Ann’s stories- it was so easy to lose myself in her story, in a really great way and now I need more. This is packed full of action, adventure, danger, drama, suspense, mystery, chemistry, sizzle, tension, intrigue, hop, emotion, secrets, lies, agendas, intensity, and so much more. I was completely immersed in the story, reading the whole thing in just a few hours as my eyes flew over the pages to find out what happens. Such a riveting read! As expected from Brittany Ann, this was another fantastically exciting, steamy and emotional read- with heartaching parts, touching + tender scenes, sweet and romantic moments, as well as intense edge-of-your-seat gripping suspense…. all of which Brittany Ann masterfully choreographed into an entirely addictive and amazing story. Highly recommended!!!

I really enjoyed Mia and Edwards story in this Paranormal Romance. Being my first AJ Renee book I was pleasantly surprised, having not read the other books in the series I was still able to really enjoy this one and not feel too lost. I will definitely be adding her other books to my to read list! There was fantastic chemistry between the characters and great world building. I found it such a easy enjoyable read and before I knew it I had finished the book. Definitely a must read to Paranormal Romance lovers.

Overall this was a great start to a series, with some phenomenal world building. I love that its original, I haven’t read something like this before and I love fantasy genre- so it definitely kept me reading. I am looking forward to more character growth in the following books, KM Wray has set it up for great potential though. There is plenty of drama and action to keep you on edge, and that sweet clean romance that you look for in the Young Adult genre.

Snowfall Serenade was a really good read. I don’t think anything is going to come close to the magical, suspense filled treasure that was the first book but this was a great continuation of Zelda and Scott’s story. They go through trial after trial in this book, more than any couple should have to go through. This was an emotional, action packed book from the first chapter. This series is quickly becoming a favorite. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books Barrett is working on and planning for this series!
