Rock Me To The Top is the first book in the Gracefall Rock Star Romance series by Victoria Zak. This was the first time that I had read any of this author’s writing but I love a rock star romance so decided to give it a go. I’m so glad that I did as I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this series and get to know the other guys in the band better.
In this book we get the story of Gracefall’s drummer, Joe Grace and his best friend Melody Sterling who he hires to be the band’s tour manager on their first ever headline tour. Melody is no stranger to the rock n roll lifestyle as she’s the daughter of a rock legend drummer.
I loved reading Joe and Melody’s story. As well as being a rock star romance, it’s also a friends to lovers romance which is another trope that I love reading. These two are just perfect for each other and Joe is determined that by the end of the tour, Melody will be more than just his best friend.
This book gives a great insight into life on the road for a rock band: the boring hours spent travelling from city to city as well as the high’s of performing in front of thousands of adoring fans.
I really enjoyed this book, it’s well written and the story flows well, keeping the reader engaged. I’d definitely recommend Rock Me To The Top.
