Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour) by Victoria Zak – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One)Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Zak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rock Me to the Top is book one in the Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour series by Victoria Zak. This author is a new discovery. And what a refreshing and arousing delight this story was. There was a sensuality that was extremely addictive and Joe and Melody were the most enticing couple. Joe was a rock star drummer. Rough around the edges perfection. He was your typical bad boy star with that extra zing. He possessed a little something special that was undeniably alluring. Melody knew the rocker life and while maybe she was a little crazy for even contemplating a life wit ha rocker, she was unable to deny the attraction that sizzled between them. Secrets would threaten to wreck their world. There was always one problem after another and the odds seemed to be stacked against them. It was such a drawn out drama that made me insatiable for more. In a quest for the elusive happy ever after, once they get used to the idea of a them, these two go at it guns blazing. You would think their relationship would be just about impossible, being friends first and all, and the whole rocker lifestyle being so difficult and temperamental, but no, their incredible personalities shone through the pages and they gave it their all. This story provided an endless unveiling of true love, loyalty, honour and tenacity. a brilliant 5 star read.

The Groomsman (Unexpected Series – Book 2) by Marina Hanna – Review by Jenni Bishop

The GroomsmanThe Groomsman by Marina Hanna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Groomsman by Marina Hanna is a great contemporary romance. As with Love Unexpected Marina’s writing has had me completely captivated in her stories. Her characters are wonderful and you become very invested in them. I also love her wicked sense of humour. Although it is a quick read it has everything to keep you engrossed and engaged. I loved every minute of it. The chemistry sizzled and some very steamy scenes jumped right off the page. With lots of passion, a boatload of desire, a dash or two of sass, a few intense moments, a drop or two of angst and a little drama and some super sexy times makes for some fabulous reading.
One night forever changed everything.
Trust me and do yourself a favour and start reading Marina’s books today.

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One)Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Zak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rock Me to the Top: A Gracefall Rock Star romance and the first book in the Vicious Love Tour series by Victoria Zak. This new adult contemporary romance is a friends-to-lovers tale where there is the push and pull, should I or shouldn’t I. AND whelp, they definitely should. OMG this one has all the feels. It was hot, sexy and sizzling. Victoria has given us complex but loveable characters and you cannot help but root for them. But nothing is plain sailing and emotions are all over the place.
Having seen what it’s like on the other end of the rock and roll, rock star life Melody has seen its dark and devastating effects. So can she handle that for herself? But dark secrets may just destroy them.
Loved it. It is a great start to this series and I can’t wait to see where Victoria goes next.

Ashes of Aldyr (The Obscured Throne Trilogy Book 1) by Russell Archey – Review by Jenni Bishop

Ashes of AldyrAshes of Aldyr by Russell Archey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ashes of Aldyr (The Obscured Thorne Trilogy Book 1) by Russell Archey. This is the first book I have read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I must say his work reminded me of JK Tolkien the hobbit works. This dark tale is steeped in evil causing havoc in the new world that Russell has created. The delicate and multilayered threads that have been painstakingly weaved together has become an intriguing and engrossing read.
It’s a great, fast-paced narrative that has enough Tolkien to be familiar yet not be a cut-and-paste copy. The story is riveting and you’ll find yourself wondering what comes next. There are small issues with the story but these are not glaring for those who enjoy good plotlines.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett. Manda is always a click and go and it’s almost a relief when you get your hands on the next book that is until you start to read. I am addicted to Manda’s MC stories and the men and women that she brings to life and Red’s Peril is no different. The characters are complex and all grumbly but underneath they are loveable and sexy. But don’t let that fool you. You hurt one of them and be prepared to be hurt in return. I love the banter and their comradery and quirky natures and the way they fight to protect what’s theirs.
Hang on tight as you ride into Red’s territory and all that comes with it.
This beautifully written tale is of Red who has worked his way up the chain and becoming the leader of the Vegas MC chapter story. He’s had a good life, but one thing is missing and although he thinks his time has passed, maybe it hasn’t.

I’d left my hometown seeking adventure.
I hadn’t much ambition, my main aim being to find somewhere warmer where I could ride my motorcycle all year around. I saw my future as most men do, finding a steady job, eventually getting married and spitting out a couple of kids.
Fate seemed to comply, throwing into my path my soul mate only a few hundred miles from my home. But it wasn’t to be, I’d found her, loved her then lost her, all in a matter of days.
I’d ridden on alone until the Gods stepped in once again and put me in the sights of the Satan’s Devils MC. Despite my initial reluctance, I was soon accepting the prospect patch, and from that point on, never looked back.
I rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Prez of the Vegas Chapter of the club. I’ve gained respect and loyalty from my brothers, and in many ways have everything that I want.
Except I’ve never quite lost my dream of finding my own old lady to of starting a family. But while life on the whole has been good to me, it seems my destiny is to ride through it alone.

Forever is book #9 in this series and I would encourage everyone to read the other books. I def felt like I landed in the living room of a family I didn’t know yet. To say I didn’t want to put it down is an understatement. It has great characters, great action, and great plot line. Gemma comes across kind of superficial at first, but she grew on me as book went on. A few twists in this story that I actually didn’t see coming so that was fun. Needless to say I will be reading other books in the series!

Victoria Zak is a wonderfully talented author who brought us a story filled with emotion and characters who are totally relatable even if living a very different life to us. There are twists and turns along the way….one I was totally not expecting!! oh my poor heart!! Wow, I really loved this book. I do not get many opportunities to read rock and roll friends to lovers so this was great change for me to read. Melody and Joe are best friends but yes have these feelings for each other that is more than friendship. Growing up, Melody is the daughter of a famous drummer and Joe takes lessons from Melody’s father. Joe Grace and his band “GraceFall” get the opportunity of a lifetime, to go on tour and be the main headliner for their concert tour. Melody .. after being disappointed on not making the LA Orchestra, decides to go on tour with the band. Sparks fly between Joe and Melody while on the tour, but there are secrets too. This book is a roller coaster of emotions that make you want more. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is my first read of the series and although I hadn’t been introduced to the characters before, it was easy to follow along. On top of the kink in this book, the underlying storyline between the characters, keeps you on our toes and is a great way to finish out the series. Forever: A Diamond Doms Novel by Ivy Nelson

This is not the first book by Nelson that I’ve read. It’s also not the first Diamond Doms novel I’ve read. The Diamond Doms Series can be read as standalones or in order.

Russell had one job to do and that was to keep Holly and her friend Gemma safe. Then her husband comes up dead and they aren’t sure why. Russell starts to have feelings for Gemma. The quote I chose for Russell is: “I’m sorry, Gemma. I won’t call you that again. If you’ll excuse me, I’ve left someone waiting.”

Gemma is wanting out of the marriage. Then he shows up dead and Russell is the one who told her. She has feelings for Russell, but isn’t exactly sure what his feelings are for her. The quote I chose for Gemma is: “No. Idiot. I’m saying our marriage is not the traditional love story. We aren’t in love, we don’t have sex, and we will never have children. In fact, before our lives blew up, we were on the path to lining things up for a divorce. Enough time had passed that it wouldn’t harm either family.”

Highly recommended for Dark Romance lovers.

Now this is just book one of this series and Copeland does not disappoint.

This book took me roughly a week to read and I’d rate it 5/5 stars. It was well written and engaging. The main character Nick and his grandfather were well written and relatable. This story has everything from secret rooms and magical coins to weapons and bad guys. Although it wasn’t as action packed as I was hoping and the beginning didn’t really come to fruition just yet, I look forward to reading the next book in the series. This book follows a young teacher as he learns his family history and takes upon a new role as the guardian of the coin. The dialogue and people were extremely likable and their conversation and the plot itself did not seem forced at all. Overall great quick, easy read. I’d certainly recommend it.

This is another wonderful novel by Saccenti. The Last Danann is a great read and I can’t wait for the next one. Titanian Chronicles is a great series.

Kailen is a great friend of Soren and we got to meet him in the last book. He is the last Danann and isn’t sure if he’s ever going to find his mate. The quote I chose for Kailen is: “No thanks are necessary, Lord.”

Talaith doesn’t want to feel emotions for Kailen but she does. When her Master shows up and tells her that he may or may not send her on a new mission. The quote I chose for Talaith is: “I left when he started grilling her. Maya is no one’s fool, and with Soren’s mind-to-mind guidance, she won’t be tricked into revealing the Simurgh lightning.”

Highly recommended for Mythology lovers.

The Last Danann: Titanian Chronicles 2The Last Danann: Titanian Chronicles 2 by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW! This story gripped me from the beginning. The Last Dunann is a story that is part of the Titanian chronicles which focuses on two lovers; Kailen and Talaith.. This book has well written out world building, and the author does well in explaining the many different supernatural’s that are in this book. I thought the book flowed very well and could tell that the author had a specific story she wanted to get across to her audience through Kailen and Talaith. Speaking of the characters, I enjoyed the love story between the two. Kailen who is the Last Dunann experienced great loss which affected him as the years went by. He felt as love could never be reached by him, and he came to accept this ideology. However, Talaith, a powerful sorceress with very rare magic, sees Kailen and immediately understands that he is hers, and that she will change his mind about love and that he is capable of it. I thoroughly enjoyed the concept of this book and can’t wait to continuing reading Ms. Saccenti’s work!

Forever: A Diamond Doms Novel by Ivy Nelson

I was intrigued by this book and have learned some of my limits on what sort of things interest me in that world.   There were some things I never would have ever considered,  but we all like things that other people don’t quite understand.

I have not read the other books in this series which I think was a disadvantage because there were several established characters and their storylines that I didn’t have the background on, well at least not yet.  I would suggest reading these in order since this tied up loose ends.

Russell was a great guy is seemed but too intense for me.  He certainly knew how to care for a woman,  lucky Gemma.  He would give her exactly what she needed and cared for her more than I think a normal partner work.

I envy Gemma in some ways.  She knew what she needed, had no problems (mostly) vocalizing her needs and enjoyed every moment.

I would like to go back and read the others in this series so I can find out how everyone ended up where they were.

So yeah, I really loved this, like really really loved this. It been a while since I got properly stuck into a meaty fantasy and this just ticked all the boxes, which I’ve got to say made me super happy. Reading this little ray of awesome kind of made we want to hunt down more of Saccenti’s work because honestly, I do have to love her writing style. She’s got a way where you drop into the story and bam, its just there in front of your eyes, all vivid and sparkly and unleavable, because seriously I couldn’t put this bad boy down.
This being the 3rd book in a series I hadn’t, up until this point, read meant that there were some things that sort of nearly flew over my head, but if anything, it just made me want to read the other installments to get more of the awesomeness.
So, the up and the down is that Kailen, last dude remaining from his people on his current plain, after helping send the rest of them on their merry way to Tir na nÓg. The price for this however was for him to stay and pledge his fierce sword to the Seelie Court and after a bit, the Titanians. There’s lots of stuff in Kailen’s past, lots of pain, and heartbreak and of course really powerful badass druid sorceress’ that just so happen to run into him again. I’m talking about Talaith, and I love her!!
I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone that loves fantasy, loves romance, sod it anyone that loves reading and wants to stick something beautiful in front of their faces. You will love it, honestly.

Not the first book I’ve read by Saccenti. This is the first book of the series I’ve read. Saccenti is an amazing author and I can never wait for the next one.

Maya is human and is in for a shock. She is kidnapped along with her godmother. What she doesn’t know is that her life may be changing for the better. The quote I chose for Maya is: “Are you hurt? Are you hurt? The sounds were horrible. What was that disgusting green liquid? Zeus is back to normal too. I’m so happy, so relieved.”

Soren didn’t think he would ever find his mate. Then he gets the shock of his life when she shows up at the bar he’s at. She was told to look for him, meaning something is wrong. The quote I chose for Soren is: “That’s my mate, and she needs me. I’m going to help her. Now.”

Highly recommended for Mythology lovers.
