Second Chance a Spirit by Carrie Pulkinen a spooky five-star read. This is number two in the Haunted Ever After series, they could be read as standalone, as they do focus on different main characters, but have a running theme and characters who pop up in each other’s stories, but easily read on its own. This as always was funny and spooky with some drama thrown in for good measure. Tina and Trent are well done, they used to date but not anymore, but when Trent needs her, she comes to help. The chemistry is sparky, almost as much as the house. This is a great story and I cant wait to sink my teeth into number three.

The Traveller: Chimera Rising by Shannon Nemechek a fab four-star read. This is number three in the Book of Eleanor and it is best to read them in order as they do follow on from each other, this one picks up after the end of book two, so you would be lost if you didn’t know what had happened. I love the visuals of Scotland and it made me so desperate to visit once we are finally able to travel. Kate and Colm will suck you into their story and just make you care.

We are back in Scotland with Katie and Colm following the story of the book but will there be some secrets that should not be revealed.
Katie and Colm are back in Scotland after the great revolution and trying to undertake the task they have been set, but coming back up with familiar enemies and battles can the two of them stay on track especially with the danger, magic and spies.
As they go through the book Colm also has some decisions to make but will he make the right ones, you will have to read and find out.
I have to start with if you have not read the other books, one why not?? but another I feel you would enjoy the story better having the full back story of the other two books. I was gutted when book 2 finished on such a cliff-hanger but glad this book picked right back up with the plot and the story just got better from that first page to the last.
I love these two characters together and they had to really rely on each other with the people and the tasks they had along the way. The book is full of twists and turns and I seriously did not see any of it coming which is always brilliantly in a story as this keeps you engaged until the end. I always loved the secondary characters which just give the book depth but also the amazing scenery within Scotland.
I can’t wait bring on book 4.

This is an awesome series, I enjoyed this one just as much as the first two. I love time travel stories when they are made to feel like it could really happen and this has given me that. I’m not a big historical fan but after reading the first I had to continue on. I love this author and will always give her books a try.
I don’t recommend reading these out of order, you really need all of them to get the full effect of the ongoing story.
Excellent writing with a unique storyline and it has a super smooth flow allowing me to read it in one sitting.

Vengeance is the first book I have read by Courtney Konstantin. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy starting with the 5th book in a series, but I quickly discovered that Courtney does a phenomenal job making this a stand alone book. She smoothly explained the characters in the story while not making it seem like an awkward explanation. There was also some important backstory that I will enjoy going back to read, but it was able to be shared within the context of the characters’ dialogue and inner thoughts. This is a story of family dynamics and characters’ journeys in an apocalypse. I really enjoyed that while aspects of zombie stories, such as how to kill the zombies, were retained, there was a fresh take on the characters and what they were enduring. At one point in some action, I found my entire body tense as I flew through the book to find out what would happen to Max. Max Duncan is a fantastic and interesting main character. I found lyrics to a song aptly describe Max’s journey. She is making her way in the world today taking everything she’s got. Jump into this series with this book or any of the other books in the Sundown series. You won’t regret it.

A sweet paranormal romance! This third book in the Haunted Ever After series is a great read. Carrie Pulkinen keeps you reading to learn more about Erica and Gage. I love that you catch up with characters from the previous books in the series. You also don’t have to read the first two to enjoy this one. I can’t wait to read more from Carrie Pulkinen!

I found it fully that the main characters where in the same business but never ran into each other. With Erica running a haunted community theater and Gage being a paranormal investigator. The story like most of Carrie Pulkinen stories was fun and entertaining. It felt light and mellow. Though those ghost showed their ugly side plenty. In the story Erica is trying to turn the tables on her failing haunted theater and hopefully with Gage help she can make that happen. Unrequited love is so hard. You have to make sure the person on the receiving end doesn’t feel like that other person is in love with their past. Then the giving person has to make sure that the other person isn’t talking to the because now they’re hot. Very slippery slope that the author cleared fabulously. Was a good read and will continue to root for this author and her amazing work

This is the second book in the Haunted Ever After Series. You will most definitely want to read the first book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but I honestly recommend you read the first book as well. The story came to life on every single page. Loved how well written the story is from page one and on. Loved the characters as well as the plot-line. The author has wowed me and kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. All around an amazing ghostly romance story with a secrets, and second chances. Trent Austin suddenly inherits a mansion from his recently deceased creepy, crazy uncle. He is a successful, big city lawyer and wants to sale the run-down mansion as quickly as possible. Who better to call to help him other than his ex almost girlfriend Tina Sanders. Tina Sanders is a fun going, big time, real estate agent. When she receives a call from Trent whom she dumped months ago, she is very surprised. They quickly learn there is more to the mansion than they may realize. Really enjoyed this book! This is a very entertaining story. I’m so looking forward to the next book in the series!

Shannon you’ve done it again! Chimera Rising is the third book in The Traveler series, and my personal favorite. I have been impatiently waiting for this book since i finished Chimera Revolution, and Shannon just keeps amazing me! I HIGHLY advise to read these in order, and I highly recommend reading them all! This book, along with the rest of it’s series, is such a beautiful series of ups and downs, and will absolutely hook you from page one. It has quickly become my favorite series, and i just cannot wait to get my hands on more from this author! Shannon knows just how to weave an absolutely spell binding (Pun intended!) work of art!

If you have not checked out Shannon Nemechek and her series The Book of Eleanor, you have been missing an awesome series. This is the third book in the series so i HIGHLY recommend reading the first two before reading this book. In this series there has been time travel, fantasy, magic, danger, mystery, and plenty of paranormal activity to just name a few things. The characters really compliment the plotline well. They are fully developed and complex. I have enjoyed Kate and Colm from the beginning book. They have been through a lot, but are they able to get into just a little more? I found myself turning the pages very quickly because I wanted to see what Kate and Colm is in store next. I did read the book in one sitting. Make sure you are comfortable, have all your snacks, and get ready for a roller coaster ride.

Tessa is married and happy with her life. Well she was until her sister told her something. She then starts to notice that her husband may not be who she thinks.
Tessa is getting visits from the dead and it’s only one dead person. Rebecca. Keith’s dead wife. The quote I chose for Tessa is: “No, well, yes, but only in my dreams. The night before I saw you last, I had a dream where she was in all of our photos together, and then you showed me the stories online, and it was her. I had no idea who this woman was before, but she has been coming to me in dreams since I moved into Keith’s house.”

The Traveler: Chimera Rising is the third book in ‘The Book of Eleanor’ Series by Shannon Nemechek. I highly recommend reading the books in order as this one starts off where book 2 left off. As the previous books, this one did not disappoint, I fall in love with the story and characters more each book. The author does such an amazing job adding even the smallest details and keeping you informed during the journeys. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see where things go!!!

Beckoned: Born of Darkness (Book 1) by R. B. Fields. This book blew me away from start to finish. I sometimes have trouble sinking into a paranormal story but I definitely didn’t have that problem with this book. From page one I knew I was in for quite the ride with not only the storyline but the characters. It’s definitely a steamy read and I loved every minute of it. The characters truly brought the storyline to life. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m already excited for more from this author. Five stars all the way! Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next.

I absolutely loved reading the book Beckoned: Born of Darkness which is book 1 by R. B. Fields. I love almost all paranormal books but especially books with vampires, and this one doesn’t let you down. This book has a great storyline that pulls you in from the very beginning and holds your interest to the very end leaving you wanting more. But not only did the author write an amazing book, her characters are what bring it to life, the details she puts into both makes you feel like you are there! I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.

Hmm, this was an interesting story, got some serious ‘What Lies Beneath’ vibes from it, and of course ‘Rebecca’ vibes, but I have this curious feeling that it may have been on purpose. I could be wrong. Honestly though, on paper (I know it’s a book) it should be exactly the type of thing that I would adore. There’s mystery, there are twists and turns and a little sprinkle of the supernatural which has always been my thing, but for some reason, I found this a little difficult to get into. I don’t know whether it’s the way the character was written or whatever, but I just really struggle to immerse myself in this one. Not to say that this is badly written, or not worth the read because it is really good and I would absolutely recommend anyone giving it a go, I just found it a bit tough to get into, that’s all. Tessa Stevens has had her fair share of crap to shovel in her life and when she meets her husband, she thinks that things are finally looking up and that she may actually get the life that she has always dreamed of free from all the darkness of her past. That is until a spirit keeps showing up warning her that all might not be as it seems. The more that the spirit visits her, the more that Tessa finds that Keith isn’t what she thought. That’s a basic outline, I don’t want to ruin anything because I really do think you should read it, I think I’m going to read it again when I’ve had a bit of a break and I’m pretty sure that all the things I am not liking at the moment will have gone packing. I mean it had to be good because I finished it quickly. It kept me guessing and wanting to read more so it must have done something right. Just took me a bit of time to get into, but give it a go because you might not have the same problem and there is an awesome story in there.
The Traveler: Chimera Rising (The Traveler Series, Book of Eleanor Book 3) By Shannon Nemechek 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book The Traveler: Chimera Rising (The Traveler Series, Book of Eleanor Book 3) by Shannon Nemechek. It is a story that is interesting and intriguing. It includes danger, witches, and a curse. I loved the story and the characters. The author does an amazing job of making them both come alive. The book had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Each story in this series keeps getting better. To fully understand what is going on, you should read them in order. I love reading about the interactions between the characters. Don’t miss out on an amazing, exciting, and entertaining story. I highly recommend reading it and the entire series.

Vengeance by Courtney Konstantin is the firth book in the Sundown series. This book can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the series. This is a YA dystopian novel that is well written and action packed. I knew when I started this book that it was going to be exciting and fast paced but I didn’t expect it to be such an emotional story. I was completely connected with the main character and it felt like I was taking the journey with her. Although this is the first book I have read in this series it never felt like I was missing out on what had happened although after reading this one I will be going back to read the others. This is a well written and detailed book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am looking forward to discovering more by this author.

This is the second book in the Haunted Ever After series. This can be a stand alone book but I recommend the first book as it is just as entertaining. The plotline is a fun energetic story. It keeps you turning the pages to see what is next. The characters are fully developed and quite comical. This story is about Trent and Tina. Trent has had his uncle’s mansion given to him when he passes. Well it is not a regular mansion, it has some ghosts who live in the mansion. Trent wants to sell it and he turns to his ex-girlfriend to sell it for him. Tina broke up with Trent a few months ago and is surprised that Trent is calling her. Will Tina take the mansion to sell? Will the ghosts try to interfere with the selling of the mansion? Will Tina and Trent rekindle the flame they had for one another. I highly recommend this story to find out the answers to these questions and more.

Third Time’s a Ghost is the third book in the series. Carrie Pulkinen has done an amazing job with this series. I highly recommend reading the first two books. I love how Carrie Pulkinen has taken a paranormal character and turned it into a romantic paranormal story. This story is Gage and Erica’s story. Their story started back in high school. Gage is an investigator who is having problems with dating and Erica is a psychic medium who is having issues with her theater business. There are ghosts who are making things hard for Erica. Can Gage help with Erica with her problem at the theater? Will Gage tell Erica about his feelings? Will Erica be opened to Gage’s feelings? I highly recommend this story to see if there is a happy ending for Gage and Erica.

Tessa Stevens has been through a lot in her life, the death of both of her parents under tragic circumstances, then followed by the death of her grandma, but that all changed when she met her husband and fell in love, he was all that she wanted in a man, smart, handsome, kind and generous, but she missed her sister who she hadn’t seen since they got married. One night, she hears a voice telling her to leave the house while she still can, but she is confused as to who it was and why they were telling her that, but they were only dreams and she has a feeling that she needs to call her sister to make up for lost time, but when she does and they agree to meet it is like old times, apart from her sister shows her something about her husband which Tessa finds it hard to believe because the information paints him in a completely different light and when she sees that she has multiple missed calls and texts from him and when she does answer that he is concerned about her, she dismisses everything else, although she can’t deny that she wants to know more about his past.
When Tessa returns home, she looks up about her husband’s past and realises that the person in her dreams is also someone who her husband had a past with and has since disappeared but when strange things start to happen in the kitchen as she thinks about their future she tries to ignore it and carry on with her day, but the strange things keep happening, especially in the basement as she finds some things down there which she didn’t expect to and when she eventually is back upstairs, she realises who is behind them all. The dreams continue that night and in the morning Tessa invites her sister over to the house but instead decide to meet at the cafe again, but her husband’s reaction to it unnerves her and when she tells her about the strange dreams and occurrences in the house, her sister decides that it is time to do some snooping and she returns to the house with Tessa and stays the night and while her husband is out, they find out more about him and the mysterious spirit haunting her and it isn’t all good.
As the visitations become more frequent and Tessa finds out more about her husband, she realises that he doesn’t really know him much after all, but the more she finds out, the more his behaviour changes and the more scared she becomes until things come to a head, but will all the secrets be revealed or will the past repeat itself and will Tessa be able to solve the mystery in time, or will the secrets destroy her first? This is a fast paced whirlwind of a journey through deception, danger, lies and secrets where any revelations just muddy the water more and once started, you won’t be able to stop until you reach the end.
This is is 3rd book in The Book of Eleanor series. I would recommend reading the first 2 books before as this books follow on from the last one. The characters are well written and easy to connect with and the author does an amazing job of painting the scene for the reader.
This is a story about time travelling. Katie and Colm have been asked to save someone but can saving that person change their futures? Can a spoke word change the course of history for the better or worse?
Filled with magic, mystery and adventure this story is one that keeps you wanting more.

Beckoned: Born of Darkness (Book 1) by R.B. Fields
This is the first book by Fields and I will be waiting for more. Beckoned is an amazing start to a great series. Fields knows how to write and bring the readers back.
Dawn has never felt like she belonged anywhere. She’s a nurse in the ER and sees a lot of things. She is told that her mother didn’t die by the hands of a monster, but she soon learns that’s not true. The quote I chose for Dawn is: “I’m going to sit by the pond. Let me know when I can come in to eat, would you? You do have human food, right?”
Silas is one of the four vampire mates to Dawn. When he finds her on the bridge trying to kill another of his kind he is shocked. He’s the first to bond with her and knows how she enhances his powers. The quote I chose for Silas is: “I heard them, too, in the woods, though they were very far away — farther than I should be able to hear. Something about her is increasing my range and the intensity of my powers, and —”
Kain is the smart one of Dawn’s mates. When he tends to her wounds he finds that he is stronger. He doesn’t want to go too deep as he needs to research. The quote I chose for Kain is: “Not much to tell. I was in the war , which one is irrelevant — they are all the same. I do not remember dying. I do not remember turning. I do know it took me nearly eighty years to find Markula … and those like him.”
Draynor is the second to bond with Dawn. The third of her mates and the one who can feel things. He doesn’t know what to make of her at first. Soon that all changes and he doesn’t want to leave her. The quote I chose for Draynor is: “I guarantee none of them can hear as well as we can. They can’t sense us the way we can sense them. And if Dawn’s with us, she’ll likely dampen their senses as she did ours before we bonded, leaving our powers all the more finely honed. Our best option is —”
Markula is the leader of their hive. The fourth and the last to mate with Dawn. When he does he finds that she may be playing them. He doesn’t trust her and hasn’t from the beginning. The quote I chose for Markula is: “There are no vices for us, no real dangers for addiction. We can’t invite that in, especially when we have no frame of reference for what kind of addiction this might be.”

Pulkinen is a one click author. Hands down. She has mastered paranormal romantic comedy and always does a fantastic job with character development, plenty of emotion, just the right amount of sass, and good paranormal fun. If you like a good romance and things that go bump in the night, you’ll love this book.

I’ve loved this series and was anxious to read this next installment. And then I saw the blurb and saw that it included Merlin and Arthurian time frame and I was giddy. I loved how this story flowed and intertwined a beloved established character with Nemechek’s tome. Very well written and balanced. If you love medieval settings and time travel, you’ll love this book.

I enjoyed this book by R.B. Fields. I have read only a few reverse harem books, but I do find them interesting and I find I really like that genre. The story of Daw, Silas, Markulaz, Draynor, and Kain was a fun read. The story included some drama and mystery, and it was exciting. R.B. Fields created a vibrant world. I look forward to the next book in this series.View all my reviews

Honestly, if you guys haven’t read the first two books in this series already, you aren’t paying attention to my reviews. Or you live under a rock. This book didn’t disappoint and I’m in love with all the characters and the writing style of Naomi Valkyrie. This is Oren and Teivel’s story. I feel like I’m part of their group and can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen next. What kind of bad guy we get to fight and who we are protecting this go ‘round. Do yourself a favor and add Naomi as a favorite author and get ready to read one of the best supernatural series I’ve ever read! ((**READ THEM IN ORDER PEOPLE, IT’S A GREAT SERIES!))

Third Time’s a Ghost (Haunted Ever After Book 3) By Carrie Pulkinen 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Third Time’s a Ghost (Haunted Ever After Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen. It is a story that pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved the characters of Gage Dawson and Erica Miller. They are well-developed characters that I enjoyed. I loved the bantering back and forth between all of the characters. The author does an amazing job of making the storyline and the characters come alive. This is a comedy with a ghostly plot. I enjoyed that characters from other books in the series are in this one as well. This story had me laughing and turning pages to find out what happens next. Don’t miss out on the next exciting and entertaining book in this series. I highly recommend reading it.

I have a special fondness for retellings of the King Arthur myth. The Traveler: Chimera Rising blends elements from the time of Merlin with different eras as Merlin’s granddaughter, Katie, travels through time with her husband, Colm. In this book, Katie and Colm must travel to Merlin’s time in order to thwart the wizard’s evil son, Mordred. My only regret is not reading this series in order. If possible, I would recommend starting with the first book, instead of reading this as a stand alone as I did. If you enjoy magic, time travel and adventure, then you’ll enjoy this book.
