The Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander consists of three books, Mountains Wanted, Mountains Climbed and Mountains Loved featuring Sociology Professor Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister. The series follows their relationship from their first meeting at a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Panel event’ where Sarah is a speaker and James is in the audience, and the books tell their relationship saga. Sarah is a single Mum of two and James is about to be deployed when they first meet and start a ‘friends with benefits’ type relationship. The chemistry between the couple sizzles off the page and the box set is recommended for 18+ due to the steamy sex scenes. The couple have a very rocky relationship and encounter many obstacles but they do enter into a non conventional polyamorous relationship. This is a well written series, full of drama, romance, steamy sex scenes and great characters with amazing chemistry. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it and I fell in love with the very realistic characters, James and Sarah. As well as the main characters there is a host of great secondary characters all of which are fascinating in their own right. I liked how the author had the couple in a non conventional relationship and that Sarah was the more sexually aware of the two. It was an original and unpredictable read full of emotional ups and downs. I loved how Sarah and James relationship changed and developed over the course of the 3 books and how despite many problems they always came back together stronger than before. I was hooked from page one of the first book and was pleased that all three books were in the box set so I could continue reading Sarah and James story from start to finish. I definitely recommend this contemporary romance series by Phoebe Alexander.

The Mountains Series by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing series that I cannot recommend highly enough. It is a series that does need to be read in order as it follows the same characters the whole way through. The author has done a fantastic job of creating such lasting and strong characters. I found myself thinking of them even when I was not reading the books. I was behind them the whole way, even when it isn’t clear if they will find their way or not. The books are so well written. The continuation of the story is done with absolute ease. It never felt like it was drawn out or that the story was getting “old”. The author keeps it fresh and engaging through all 3 books. Phoebe Alexander has to be one of my favourite authors. I will happily read anything she writes. This series is no different and I would strongly advise you read it immediately.

This is the third of the “Mountains Loved” series and I’m still finding myself rooting for Dr. Sarah Lynde and Sgt. James McAllister. From the first book to this third of the series, it’s gripped my attention more than I thought it would. The characters feel so real as you experience as much with them as we do in real life. The two main characters are making family decisions and how to move forward as a couple. No matter what they go through, I’m hoping to see them through it all. If you’re gonna read this installment, please pick it up from the beginning! This is well worth the read with so much to look forward to.

Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander was a steam realistic read. I love having all 3 books in a bundle. Super easy to just jump and enjoy Sarah and James as their story develops. The uninterrupted read was great! If you have not read any of the series this is definitely a great bundle to start with.

Having come together as a family with Sarah’s two teenage children they are happily married and even talking about having a baby, but their main concern is whether to have an open or closed marriage having had a polyamorous relationship in the past. Normal everyday pressures along with past issues all put a strain on their relationship. The couple are used to having to climb mountains where their love is concerned but have they now got a rock solid relationship or will it crumble into the sea? No spoilers, but if you have read books one and two you will definitely want to read this fantastically written book and find out their fate. This is another action packed story by Alexander, full of excitement, emotions, hot steamy sex scenes, romance and everyday relatable issues all of which makes this a book I could not put down.

Mountains Series Boxset includes books 1 – 3 by Phoebe Alexander. This boxset is a must read, the author wrote an amazing series that draws you in and keeps your attention until the very last page. These stories follow Sarah Lynde who is a sociology professor and single mother and Army 1st Sergeant James McAllister who never knows when he will deploy but wants a family someday. Sarah is just looking for friends with benefits when James walks into the picture but the chemistry and connection these two have make sparks fly. We follow their story in these 3 books that will have you on an emotional roller coaster from page one of the first book all the way to the last page of the third book. This is such a great series! The box set is a perfect way to get your James and Sarah fix! I am listing my reviews for each book in the series and I hope you will grab this set and fall in love with these characters as much as I have!
Book 1 – Mountains Wanted
How do I start? Can I just say I seriously would love to throat punch Phoebe Alexander right now??? LOL! I won’t tell you much about the book because you can read the blurb and find out what it’s about. What I will tell you is how it made me feel. This book absolutely crushed me emotionally! I kept having to put the book down the closer I got to the end because I was crying so hard I couldn’t see the pages anymore!
When I started this book I thought it was really good…hot, steamy, sexy…everything I love in a good romance. I loved learning about Sarah and really connected with her and her views on relationships throughout this book. The way she handles her children and their questions was so impressive. I was totally invested in them early on. So I’m reading and getting somewhat frustrated with her and her choices as the story proceeds. Well…by the time I was about three quarters of the way through, I was done for! Sarah’s emotions hit me so hard! I was torn up from that point to the very last page! Then I cried for about an hour after I finished!
This book was so good and I honestly can’t recommend it enough! And while it does end, it is somewhat of a cliff hanger that will have you screaming for the next book in the series! You will fall in love with all of the characters in this story. Smile, cheer, and laugh with them. Sob, hurt, and ugly cry with them. Well done Ms. Alexander! 5 stars and then some!
Book 2 – Mountains Climbed
Once again, Ms. Alexander has me by the heart strings! This is the second book in the Mountains Series and I am absolutely hooked! Sarah is one exceptional lady in my opinion! She is so open and loving and accepting. Everything I try to be but probably fall way short the majority of the time. I love how she deals with her children in an open and honest manor. Something I once again try to do but don’t always succeed at.
In this second book, James has been deployed, leaving Maggie at home, and Sarah has met someone else and is trying her best to move on and heal her broken heart. They can’t seem to forget one another though, no matter how hard they try. As in my review of Mountains Wanted, the first book in this series, I can’t tell you much about what happens in this story. You truly need to read it to experience the full range of emotions these stories take you through.
This series is emotional, touching, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters and their stories. Well, except for Maggie maybe. She’s a bit too closed minded and judgmental for me! LOL! I can’t wait to read the next book in James and Sarah’s story! This author truly knows how to take you along on a journey!
Book 3 – Mountains Loved
This is the third book in the Mountains series and I highly recommend reading them in order. This is a continuation of James and Sarah’s story and you won’t want to miss a thing! Once again, Ms. Alexander takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that you won’t soon forget. This is a thought provoking journey with wonderfully written characters and scenes. My heart is still feeling it, even after finishing the book!
I have honestly grown to love Sarah and her family and friends. So this story had me feeling a bit disconnected from Sarah on several occasions. I guess I have gotten so involved with their lives that I was truly angry at her for some of her decisions in this one! She shows a vulnerability that I didn’t expect and it upset me at times! Just like her family and friends, I guess I saw her as Superwoman and wanted her to always be that strong woman who never second guessed herself. We truly see how human she is in this story. James will have you frustrated beyond belief throughout this one! I was at a point where I really wanted to kick him to the curb!
I don’t want to say much more because I don’t want to give you and spoilers. Just know that you won’t regret reading this series if you like a great story that will open your mind and leave you with all the feels!

You can not deny that Phoebe Alexander can write a very compelling story. I story that drags you into lifestyles you hadn’t wanted to know about. You can go kicking and screaming but you enjoy every moment of it. I truly didn’t feel like I wouldn’t enjoy these stories seem because it’s not a life I would lead. But the way the author details these stories has you looking at it in a new way. You’re taken on a journey to find love but also yourself. You learn to accept and appreciate people for who they are. I feel like the author was telling you to not judge what you do not know or understand. I have read many books by this author and haven’t been disappointed. I recommend you give this trilogy a chance. The characters grow on you and you end up rooting for their perfect HEA. The journey to that HEA is a long and hard road and you need to know if they make it. The characters are well written and have that perfect about of depth, perfection and flaws that any good character should have. The emotions almost feel tangible.

Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander is an amazing collection of the first three books following James and Sarah. They are two amazing main characters that are developed well and have character growth in each book. It was fun watching their romance build as well as their trust. I learned a lot about another lifestyle reading these novels. It is great that they are grouped together. Readers can easily move from one story to the next. Heads up though these are for 18+ readers and there are a lot of steamy scenes. I absolutely loved them.

Mountains Loved (Mountains Series #3) By Phoebe Alexander was a steamy, romantic, and fun read. This novel continues to follow James and Sarah and cannot be read as a standalone. I love how much their characters have changed through out this series. This is my new favorite of the series. I lived following them through the ups and down of this third book. It is written well and organized. I could not put this book down. The setting of each scene is descriptive and easy to visualize, including the steamy scenes. I had no problems picturing myself in the story. I highly recommend this book as well as the series. It is an excellent read!

Mountains Loved (Mountains Series #3) by Phoebe Alexander. This book is the final chapter in Sarah and James’ story. Like all of the other books, this one also had all of the feels….. You will experience it all, happiness, sadness, heartache and love……. Just like the characters did, Ms. Alexander also worked my nerves throughout this series and book…. I wanted to jump into the book and throttle James at times. This series definitely has to be read in order!!! I hope you dive in and read this entire series.

Mountains Loved by Phoebe Alexander is the third book in the Mountains series. This book must be read in order as it is a continuation of James and Sarah’s story. The previous books have been building to everything that happens in this book. We have followed the characters on their journey the whole way through. This author has done an amazing job of creating such lasting and engaging characters. I was drawn to them and could not wait to read more about them. I was torn over this book because I couldn’t wait to read it as I had to know what was going to happen. But at the same time I didn’t want this journey to end, I was enjoying it so much. Phoebe Alexander has easily become one of my favourite authors and this series is the perfect example as to why. If you haven’t read this series already then I cannot stress enough how much you should. This is a fantastic series and one o would highly recommend.

I absolutely love this author! I don’t think she has written a book that I haven’t loved yet and I was so, so excited to read the third book in this series – I love the characters Sarah and James! Their story has been so up and down with a whole host of things along the way so I was really looking forward to seeing what was going to happen next for them. I’m not quite sure I’ve gotten off the emotional rollercoaster that Ms Alexander had me on during this story! I laughed, I cried and I shouted (mainly at James!) at the book many times whilst I was reading it! I have been rooting for Sarah and James since they very first met and I have really taken them both into my heart! My heart really ached for Sarah in this story though; it wasn’t what I was expecting at all! The author writes her books in such a way that they really do feel real at times, I can visualise the settings, the characters and their feelings whilst I am reading. A fantastic, heartfelt and emotional read that I highly recommend!

This is the third book in the Mountain Series and we find ourselves with Sarah and James. I highly recommend reading this story in order. We are with Sarah and James at the start, middle, and now the final destination of their story. It is refreshing to follow a couple from when it started. I have a deeper understanding where they are coming from in their relationship. There have been many mountains for these two. Some rough patches, but they always find their way back to each other. In this story, Sarah and James thought that they had climbed their last mountain, well that is just a little more for them to climb. There is something not happening with Sarah and James. There is one piece of the puzzle that has eluded them. Will this puzzle piece missing can Sarah and James overcome this mountain before them? You will have to read this series to find out.

Who doesn’t love a good box set that has the convince you to crave to binge read a chunk of a series quickly?
Book 1: Sarah doesn’t shy away from what she wants, and she’s open to how her body and mind works. She’s not on the lookout for a new relationship, more of a friend with benefits concept that will keep her satisfied without the drama that can sometimes come into play with relationships. As a sociology professor, she’s learned how to keep her emotions out of her sexuality…mostly. A chance meeting with James at a coffee shop leads to a seminar meeting and then more. She’s open about what she wants, and isn’t afraid to tell him and show him. With their relationship, there are ups and downs, as well as questions each needs to answer. They’re falling into an open relationship that may have started out small, turns into something more and hotter quickly. She wants more, but has to figure if she wants more with James or Pawel or both and what do they want? It looks like we’ll find out more in book 2!
I have to say the author did an outstanding job of really showing body positivity and sexuality with Sarah particularly. In a world where multiple partner book genres are gaining more popularity, it’s fascinating to see a twist on it that is so well written and respectful. Even if multiples aren’t your favorite thing to read, this one grabs your attention and helps you to see deeper into the psyche of at least one person who is comfortable in their own body and mind. I love how the storyline is emotionally charged while steamy! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!
Book 2: Sarah has lived with a lot of loss in her lifetime, so she knows what it takes to move on. Even if the one person she wants to be with is on the other side of the world. She knows that her focus has to change. In refocusing she meets someone else, but their connection isn’t the same as the one she had with James. Her heart is heavy and she has to face decisions that are going to be tough. Move on with him or move on by herself?
James had to leave, he had no other choice. He’s moved on with someone else, and even took things a step further. But the truth is, his heart hurts and he can’t stop how he feels about Sarah. Does she think of him? What about her family? What happens when he comes home, move on by himself or with his current love?
There are so many emotions that fly through with this book! I felt their heartache, especially Sarah’s. It is not easy to move on, and even though she is adjusting her life, she still feels deeply. Its one of the things I loved about her character is how deep her feelings really run and she’s open to them. I loved James as well. He’s such a perfect fit for Sarah, now if they would just get it together and get their HEA! I loved their continuing story and felt more connected to them this go around than the last.
Book 3: Sarah and James have finally come back together, but it’s not without issues. They have fought hard to get to a point where they can be together openly and without judgment from each other. With both of them dealing with internal battles, it doesn’t help that they’re dealing with outside influences that threaten to break them apart for good. With every challenge they face, the emotional toll gets higher and higher.
This book has so many intense moments that made me want to scream and yell at them both! When things are good for them their love is so beautiful, its what love should be. But with all that good, there was so much more hurt than the two previous books in my opinion. Their journey is beautiful, heartbreaking, and downright hot. It’s hard not to feel a deep connection to these characters thanks to the way the author celebrated her muse and wrote an amazing story. I can’t wait to see who will get their own book next!

Mountains Loved (Mountains Series #3) By Phoebe Alexander was a wonderful conclusion to the series. While the problems didn’t directly relate, the struggle to fix things is really real. I enjoyed the other 2 books in the series. It really helps build up the development of Sarah and James and their situation. The pace and storytelling is well done. There is a certain way Phoebe writes that just comes across as realistic.

Mountains Loved (Mountains Series Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander is a story that is full of many, many raw emotions. There were many times when I wanted to grab hold of James and strangle him, I just couldn’t believe him, but I should have known better after the first two books. This is not a book of rainbows and unicorns as we would have believed after the last book. This book gives us a look at a relationship that is real and lacking in communication, sometimes love is not enough. It also gives a look at how dangerous it is if you allow others into your relationship.
Sarah, gets put through the wringer with this book and she does it all selflessly for the man she loves. Unfortunately, she has to do a lot of it on her own and she doesn’t know where she will end up. My heart broke in half for her as Phoebe gave us an honest and raw story.
James wants his cake and eat it too and expects that Sarah will just go along with it. He is selfish and can’t see her side of things even though many show him, but it is hard to take a good long look at yourself sometimes. I’m not sure if he can redeem himself with me…….
I can’t wait to see where Phoebe takes us next. I am assuming we will get more of a look at Abby, but you never know.

The Mountains Trilogy (Mountains #1-3) by Phoebe Alexander is a story that focuses on love and sexual freedom/self-discovery. All three books are together which is a bonus because you don’t have to wait for the next book.
Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series Book 1) by Phoebe Alexander is an erotic tale where the female lead is sexual liberal and polyamorous, and our unsuspecting military man is younger and conservative. It is an unlikely pairing but somehow it works, and he is introduced to a lifestyle he never knew existed. Sarah knows what she wants but the traditionalist catholic boy James wants his cake and eat it too. Sometimes I wanted to sit Sarah down and give her a good talking to and hug James due to his confusion and uncertainty and I absolutely cracked up laughing at Sarah’s best friend and her antics. It is a very emotive story and touches on subjects that others may find taboo, but Phoebe is as always very respectful in the genre that she writes.
Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander is the continuing erotic tale where there is much angst and longing, heartache and pain. You need to read Mountains Wanted first because it continues on from it. Phoebe has once again given us a thought-provoking story of one’s sexual journey and of what some will see as taboo. It is a great story, but it is such an emotive story that you feel everything the characters are feeling. Phoebe has once again given us a story that is beautifully written and an erotic contemporary romance that you will love from start to finish. I was so drawn within the story that I read it in one sitting. Sarah has to learn to live without the love of her life which is heart-breaking within itself, but she also has to learn that she must adjust her way of thinking when it comes to the needs of her children. Even though she tried to move on, she could not help what her heart wanted but there is only so much she can take before she finally gives up. James is on an overseas deployment and can’t help but think of the one woman who opened his eyes, he knows he should only focus on his fiancée, but Sarah holds a place in his heart and needs her in his life. Unfortunately, it is too little too late, and he may have lost the greatest thing to ever happen to him. I can’t wait to read the next book to see if my suppositions are founded.

Mountains Series Boxed Set: Books 1-3 by Phoebe Alexander is a great deal. I am just getting started on the third book in this series but have to let you know you will not be disappointed. Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander is the first in the Mountains Series books. The first three books in the series are a continuing storyline so you will want to read those in order. The story is about Dr. Sarah Lynde, a single mom, looking for her next friend with benefits. Army First Sergeant James McAllister is looking for the same because he doesn’t know when he will be deployed next. The two of them meet and the steam begins to rise. Despite wanting other people are they the right match for each other? This is a good read that I read quickly. The story leaves off for the next book so I am looking forward to where the story goes after this book. The characters are interesting and I liked some right off and others I found to like more as I got to read more about them. There are some background characters who are also interesting. I like the story because these are not perfect people but each has its own flaws and problems they bring to the relationship. Unlike other romances, this has some reality brought to the table with this feature. I look forward to seeing where this story goes. Mountains Climbed by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in the Mountains series. You have to read these in order because the story continues from book to book. With an ending like the first book, I was ready to dive into this read. The story picks up with Sarah trying to move on while James is deployed. Will the two of them find each other and the timing be right? You have to read this story to find out. I always enjoy a happily ever after but I also enjoy a story with realism. Relationships are not always easy and don’t always work the way we hope. This series has two realistic imperfect, perfect people. I really am looking forward to the third book in this series. I am in the midst of reading the third book and am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the series.

Mountains Loved is the 3rd book in the excellent Mountains Series by Phoebe Alexander. Books 1-3 are Sarah and James’ story and should be read in order. The remaining books are stand-alones and can be read in any order. I had oved books 1&2 and could not wait to see how Sarah and James’ story turned out. In true Phoebe Alexander style it was action packed, hot and steamy and had a few curveballs to keep you on your toes. In Mountains Loved we move 2 years on from the end of Mountains Climbed. Sarah and James are now married and Abby has gone to college. Having settled into married life James and Sarah are now considering whether it’s time to add another person into their polyamorous relationship and also trying to have a child of their own together. These events put a great deal of strain on the marriage and both start to question what they really want. I have to say that there were times in this book that I really hated James. I just wanted to shake some sense into him. I guess it’s partly due to me not being polyamorous and just wanting James and Sarah to be together but also due to James being a complete douche at times. I really felt so sorry for Sarah, she just wanted to be happy and to be loved. This book took me on a very emotional journey. I laughed and I cried. Oh yes, I cried. Parts of this story will really pull at the heartstrings. I won’t give any spoilers but will just say that you should really give this series a try. It’s awesome!!

I have absolutely devoured this series. I can’t seem to get enough of James and Sarah! I have loved seeing how their relationship has grown since the previous books. They have had such the rocky road but their struggles are very relatable so it was nice to see how they handled everything. Phoebe Alexander has a way to bringing very real issues in life into her stories and we see the very real struggles the characters go through. All three of these books were so hard to put down. I cannot wait to read more from Miss Alexander

This novel carries so much emotion it certainly took me on an incredible journey I felt like i was right there which makes reading this novel even more of an enjoyable experience. This book is relatable to many which is why I find this story will hit home for alot of readers and really touch your heart. It is a read that will leave you wanting more and want to sink your teeth into all over again. It’s an unforgettable read and one that I will be recommending to my other book lovers.

Mountains Series Boxed Set contains books 1-3 in the series, which is James and Sarah’s story. It is a superb contemporary military romance, that packs quite an emotional punch- as well as fully opening the door on a polyamorous relationship with all the sizzle and heat that goes with it. Here’s my review for book one to give you a taste of what to expect:
Mountains Wanted is the first book in the Mountains Trilogy by Phoebe Alexander. It is a though provoking, wonderfully written, erotic contemporary romance. Dr. Sarah Lynde is a 36 year old Sociology Professor and a very loving and supportive single parent to her two children, Owen and Abby. Sarah absolutely adores teaching whilst also being very open minded and sexually adventurous- but she does have rules when it came to dating and sex- and she definitely isn’t interested in a long term relationship or being tied down to the one person. James McAllister is a 29 year old First Sergeant in the Army. He is a clean cut, wholesome looking, all American farm boy turned military man- who captured Sarah’s attention the moment she laid eyes on him. She wasn’t normally attracted to military types and usually dated academic or artistic types- but something about him fascinated her, and there was no denying that their chemistry was incredibly intense. They start off on a friendly basis, which then leads to more. But as things begin to get complicated, they both will need to decide what it is they truly want. Secrets will be revealed that will impact the both of them. What happens? Well, you’re going to have to read the story to find out because I don’t want to give away any spoilers. This book is nothing like I thought it would be. The blurb is good, but it really doesn’t convey just how interesting and unique this story really is. Phoebe Alexander writes beautifully, producing a passionate, erotic, funny, emotional, educational, and entirely captivating story. This story has ‘life’ and ‘energy’ about it; it definitely showcases the authors writing skills that’s for sure. The story flows well and has a great pace. I read it in one sitting and am really looking forward to more, as the story is set to continue in the next book. I can’t wait!!!
All I will say is that this series is SO worth the read!!!

Mountains Loved is the third book in the Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander. This book picks up a little after the conclusion of book two, so I really recommend reading the first two books before starting on this one as this isn’t a standalone and is meant to be read as part of the series. The first two books have really important details which you will need to fully understand and appreciate this book. James and Sarah have gone through a lot, climbing their mountains, through every stage of this series- and just when they are finally together and looking towards the future they’d envisioned together- life throws them yet another mountain to climb. Is their love strong enough to see them through, or will this be the one mountain that proves too difficult to traverse? I felt this was the most emotive of the three books so far- full of passion, heartbreak, love, tears, and joy. This story had my emotions strapped to a bungee cord, diving and then soaring, and plunging again, all over the place. Playing with my emotions is something I have found that Ms. Alexander does incredibly well, and on a regular basis, through all her books. Wonderful!

Going into the third book, I was already invested in James and Sarah’s relationship from the beginning and I needed to know where their relationship was going to take them. You must read these books in order so that you can get the full picture of how these two got to where they are now. In this book they have run into some issues that were emotional and I felt every one one them jumping off the pages. The author does an exceptional job writing this story and conveying different things that may come with this lifestyle. I absolutely loved this story. I won’t give anything away but this is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

I have absolutely loved reading the Mountains series from Phoebe Alexander. These books ring home for me and I absolutely love reading about alternative lifestyles in a healthy and accurate way. I have included my reviews for each separate book below. I love how this is conveniently in a box set to be enjoyed and gifted now! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next ones in the series!
Mountains Wanted: Book #1~
I sincerely can not say enough good things about Phoebe Alexander’s novels and the way she manages to take a taboo or unfamiliar subject and spin it into the beautiful love stories that she pens. Mountains Wanted is a perfect example of that and a series that I have come to love a lot! These new covers make you want to read the book just from them alone too. In Mountains Wanted we get the story of Dr. Sarah Lynde, a single mum of two and a professor. We also get a glimpse of her polyamory way of life that she lives with her beaus that come into play, James McAllister and others that will come into the picture as well.
I adored how this was so real and raw. I personally live a poly lifestyle so for me this book was such a close hit home. Communication is something that we are always working on, 24/7/365 it is very necessary part of the polyamorous life. You get that from reading Sara’s story and can see how things work a lot like they would in a traditional or mainstream relationship, just multiplied by the amount of people that you find your soul connected to.
One note I want to make is that this book is the beginning of a fabulous series and this story will not wrap up in Mountains Wanted. You will want to read the next book and the next I can promise you that but just a heads up because I know some like to start series all together. I can’t wait to dive in deeper in the next book, Mountains Climbed!
Mountains Climbed: Book #2 ~
I can’t believe that I am about to say this but the Mountains series from Phoebe Alexander is quickly becoming my favorite of hers. That is super hard for me to say because I adored her Eastern Shore Swingers series so much it became a regular read in my life.
With the Mountains series we get to see more of the hot and emotional romance that we have come to expect and love from Alexander. I absolutely adore that she takes an unconventional lifestyle and makes it seem so well, conventional. The emotions and the life changes that happen to the characters become extremely deep and embedded in your soul as you read. I walked away from this book feeling as if Sarah was very real and a much loved person I wish I could meet. The supporting characters get more of a voice in this book, especially James and boy do I love that man. So much emotions got brought to the surface and I can’t wait to see what will come next in the third book!

I have to say I am so freaking grateful for the realistic and accurate as well as detailed alternative lifestyle stories we get from Phoebe Alexander. She will always bring the sass, drama, and realness with her novels and I have never been more grateful to see some literature that I personally can relate to on a personal level like I do with her novels. This book did all of these things and more, keeping me on the edge of my seat to find out which fork in the road our characters will take and the consequences that come with those choices.
Mountains Loved in the third book in her Mountains series and so far now my new favorite, which is hard for me to say since I adored the second book too! DO NOT read these books out of order! I sincerely feel like you would be missing so much that makes these storylines flow if you did so. The story progresses and follows through each consecutive book. The story will provoke feelings in you that you didn’t know you had the capacity to feel for someone who is ‘made up.’ I found myself both chuckling and tearing up at many points and I just love a book that makes me want to crawl into my bed deeper and get lost in the world I am reading about. The Mountains series will take you there far away to the mountains where you will fall in love all over again. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next books!
