My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Complete Fenris series is made up of a fantastic collection of stories – each of them were really enjoyable reads! The stories weren’t overly long which I liked and it was great to go straight on to the next without waiting. I actually read the whole series over a couple of days. I really enjoyed the mythology side to the stories mixed in with some romance. The characters were well thought out and detailed. I think out of the stories in the collection my favourite was probably book 1 in the series – The Monsters Lover. It definitely set the scene well for the rest of the series. I loved Sol and Fenris – the connection they had was just so genuine and could really feel it.
I have read other books from this author and I really do enjoy her writing – the stories are easy to read, full of imagination and creativity. I would absolutely recommend this series and I look forward to more from Ms MacLeod in the future.

5-Stars

The Complete Fenris Series by Samantha MacLeod is an excellent compilation of stories including an extra book. I absolutely loved this series and really enjoyed the prequel novel! The characters are amazing and creative. I also loved the Norse mythology background required to create the storyline and back story of many of the characters. It was easy to get lost in these books without realizing how much time has passed. Each story has an easy to follow flow and is very organized. Fenris was an interesting male and he intrigued me. These books are wonderful and I highly recommend ALL of them.

The Complete Fenris Series by Samantha MacLeod is a boxed set with all five books in the series. I love boxed sets because it is a one stop shop, no waiting to get a hold of the other books in the series. This is an original paranormal fantasy series that is complex and magical with everything you need to make a great read. There is romance and drama, suspense and action, adventure and erotic scenes. This series about Fenrir who is a wolf and the son of Loki but is he a true monster? The story and the characters are well developed and the mythology helps to entice readers into this new and strange world. The stories are shorter but they certainly don’t lack in the telling. There are a lot of emotions from happiness to torture and you feel them as you journey along with the characters.
Fenris who is not depicted as the kind soul he is, but he is seen as a monster. He meets Sol and his whole world changes. There are plenty of ups and downs for the couple and within themselves. Sol is a little naïve of the world and the people within it and her eyes are most definitely opened. Is she in love with the man or the fantasy? What horrors will they have to endure? Will they survive and remain together.
All this and more is waiting for you to take a look.

The Complete Fenris series by Samantha MacLeod is a boxed set containing all five books in the series as well as the bonus short story. Such a great deal- six books for the price of one, and there’s no waiting between books! That’s a real win-win situation.
This is a wonderfully original fantasy series: with romance, paranormal elements, magic, action, suspense, drama, adventure, steamy & erotic details, sexy scenes, ménage, prophecy, rich & vivid world-building- and all based on the Norse Myth of Fenrir, the monstrous wolf, who is also Loki’s son.
I Have really enjoyed exploring all the books in this series as I can always count on Ms. MacLeod to deliver a fantastic, complex, and well developed story. It is a captivating read right from the very first page of Book #1, right through till the end of the final book. Ms. MacLeod is a talented storyteller whose unique take on Norse mythology made for a few hours of spellbinding reading.
All the books in the series are on the shorter side, but the contents are anything but lacking- with a lot happening in a small space. But as usual Ms. MacLeod choreographs the whole series superbly. Weaving twists, surprises and unexpected developments that had me on the edge of my seat. Most of the books end on a bit of a cliff-hanger, and then the next book picks up where it left off. So, this is another bonus for buying the box-set, as you can begin on the first book and follow the story right through to the end, and not miss a thing.

The series contains:

-The Monster’s Lover (Book #1)
-The Monster’s Wife (Book #2)
-The Monster and His Prisoner (Book #3)
-The Monster Chained (Book #4)
-The Monster Freed (Book #5)
-Tempting Fenris Wolf (Bonus Short Story)

I highly recommend this series to all fantasy, paranormal, and Mythology lovers- it’s well worth the read!

Thank you, Ms. MacLeod!

I have loved this series from the first book. It is a romance fairytale that will keep you fast reading through each book. Each book builds on the other to create a great Norse folklore fairytale adventure. The characters are strong and support each other and make the story come alive. I loved watching Fenris and Sol’s relationship grow through each book. Their story is one of trust, it is dark, sexy, and magical, what more could you ask for in a story. This is a must read!

I truly enjoyed reading The Complete Fenris Series by Samantha MacLeod. It is a series that pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself getting lost in its pages. I found myself staying up late into the night as I just had to read one more chapter. Each story takes you on a journey that I found entertaining and intriguing. I loved reading about the characters of Sol and Fenris. These are two characters that fall in love with each other. Fenris would do anything to keep Sol safe and protected. These books include action, danger, and romance. I love the mythology included in the stories. I couldn’t help but care for Sol and Fenris with each chapter that I read. The books have romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced and interact with Sol and Fenris. There are those who are helpful to the couple and then there are those whose motives I questioned and wondered what their true agenda is. This is a series that I would highly recommend reading.

Aiko (Heartstrings Book 1)
by Brooke May

I found this book to be fun, romantic, and unique. I loved how a lot of the laws include Aiko. Although she goes about things in a very unconventional way, I still thought she was sassy and really wanted to do the right thing. She night bend the rules a little but it’s for all the right reasons. I felt like her sisters were really hard on her ( not that they didn’t have good reason) but it would be interesting to get to know them better. I like Alejandro’s character as well, even the times I rolled my eyes at him. Over all I really enjoyed this book and I recommend reading this story.

Aiko is the first book in The Heartstrings Series written by Brooke May and it’s the first book that I have read by this author but it won’t be my last. The story line is very different which I like and the characters are well written. I loved the little quirks they have.

Aiko is back after a forty-year exile. She has been given another opportunity to help humanity.
Alejandro Gomez is everything a woman could dream of in looks. His romantic abilities gyrate to the beat of mariachi. He is also Aiko’s new assignment.

Aiko is the worst cupid she is responsible for extermination of civilizations, plagues, and possibly the worst tragedy in human history may rest on her tiny shoulders.

Can Aiko help Alejandro find love or will she create another deadly consequence?

I simply enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward in reading the next book in this series?

Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May is a romantic comedy and a wonderful original idea. Brooke has written a winner with this story that drew me in from the start and I found myself getting lost in the story. You can;t help but fall in love with this cupid as she is unique and I found myself laughing out loud with her antics. Being the worst cupid out of all but is certainly not for the want of trying.

Aiko is once again on an assignment to help Alejandro Gomez find love but nothing ever goes quite like she would like.

You really need to grab a copy of this clever and interesting story. I know you will fall in love with it. I am counting down until I can get a copy of the next book. Well done Brooke.

Aiko – A Heartstrings Novel by Brooke May was a 4 star read for me. The book was about Cupid and his angels he has chosen to find love for humans. Aiko has had the worst possible luck in helping humans find love. She was recently found in the park watching a man name Alejandro make a fool of himself begging a woman not to walk away from him.
Well Aiko is called home by mother who really isn’t her mother but, is Cupid’s right-hand angel who acts like the mother. Brielle is the sweet loving mother figure of the sisters.
When Aiko speaks with Briella she finds out she can now take on assignments…her next assignment is Alejandro Gomez.
Aiko feels like she is fighting a losing battle with this guy. She has seen him in action and knows this will be a lot of work.
Aiko finds two possible women for Al to date. One is a perfect match and the other she is using to show Al the difference. Will Aiko be able to pull this off or will Al end up either with the wrong woman or possibly single? Aiko is being trusted with this task because Cupid and Briella both believe in her.

This was a cute story. I think the concept was very original. It’s about Aiko, who is a Cupid, needing to help Alejandro get together with the woman he is meant to be with. Alejandro, who is very good looking, has no clue when it comes to women. He is Aiko’s first case in forty years. She was exiled because she caused the worst tragedies in human history. Needless to say, this lead to some comical moments. I found the story to be entertaining with the twist of an unsuccessful cupid. The story is fun, light and filled with likeable characters.

Aiko was a wonderful read; it was funny, romantic and had likeable characters in it. It was an easy story to read and it didn’t take me long to get into it at all. I really liked Aiko, I thought she was such a great character to read about – she hadn’t had the best luck in the past with her job as cupid but I could tell straight away that it wasn’t going to be that way with her new assignment!
The author got it spot on with the world building in this story – her richly detailed writing definitely made the story come alive and I really did fall for the characters.

Aiko was a great 5 star read (Romantic Comedy). Brooke has once again pulled me right in with her writing and I really enjoyed it. This is a quick read and you will be done before you know it.

Aiko doesn’t have the best reputation as a cupid, in fact she is considered the worst cupid ever. When she is assigned to Alejandro things get interesting, she is supposed to help him find his match.

Will she be able to help him find the one or will she fall for him herself?

Overall I really enjoyed this read, I had several LOL moments and twist and turns. The Cupid’s Law also had me LOL. I really liked Aiko and Alejandro, they were so lovable. All the secondary characters were great as well. The detail in this book is amazing, you feel like your right there with the characters. I can’t wait to read more from the series. Aiko is the first book in the Heartstrings series and was an interesting read. Aiko is a Cupid who has a rocky and colorful past. She is assigned to Alejandro to help him find his match. Alejandro has a hard time with romance but has a way with animals. The two made for an invigorating read.

I loved the banter between the two main characters and also the different dates they worked through. Aiko was very to the point and Al was full of sarcasm. This book was easy to read and I could not put it down. I was at the end before I realized it. I highly recommend this fun and romantic read. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I loved it.

Trying to figure out why this is my first book by this author, and deciding that I need to check out what else she has.

This was totally awesome…I’ve read some pretty heavy twisting and turning kind of books lately and when I saw this I had to have it. Picking this book up was one of the best things I’ve done reading wise in a while. It was completely perfect for what I needed. Fun, light, and it had a perfect flow that made it so easy to read in a little under 2 hours.

I love so many things about this book but I think the laws were my favorite especially when they had edits LOL Aiko was completely awesome and I could completely relate to her for some reason, I guess because in a lot of ways I’m a hot mess most of the time and just fell in love with her. So much of her past made me laugh and since this is a series I’m praying she is the star that we are following through this series but her sisters also fascinate me so I wouldn’t be too heartbroken if they got their stories told as well.

I’ll admit the end kind of made me tear up..The whole not remembering after the tether was gone was sad but the ending was still perfection and I can’t recommend this book enough.

Give it a shot, you won’t be sorry!

Aiko (Heartstrings Book 1) by Brooke May was a fun, engaging, pulling read that had me hooked in seconds!

Oh my, this book was something else I tell you. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much pure fun reading a romantic book before. Witty, funny, sassy, this book has a little bit of everything, while carrying this light hearted tone that you can’t help but fall into. Akio was on hell of a special kind of MC, and I loved every minute of it. There are few MC’s that I love right away, and even less that I would want to actually meet in real life, Aiko though, Aiko is my girl. There’s just something about her that I connected to, and I believe that just made this book for me, all the more enjoyable.

Overall this little wonder packs a punch and it will get your feels, funny bone and eyes rolling. The detail will pull you in, but the characters will have you staying the night. The richness that this world brings, as well as well researched mythology, will spark a new kind of interest. This book is truly one of a kind.

With that said please take my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval ,that you will get lost in this magical weird world of love, war, and sass.

Happy Reading

Romance author Brooke May spends her days writing whatever her overactive imagination has brewed up and her evenings reading while she works alongside her mom. Telling stories is second natural to her, from a young age she has told anyone who would listen what she had thought up. Now, a mom of two, she splits her time writing, playing with her kids, and of course, hiking, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in her beloved Bighorn Mountains.

While on maternity leave with her youngest, Brooke was putting laundry away when she looked at a poem she had written in high school that was framed in her son’s bedroom. That poem triggered the idea of My Cowboy and soon she was sitting in front of her computer with her infant next to her writing her first love story that wasn’t a fanfiction.
