Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor is a very fast-paced, engrossing sequel that I couldn’t put down. Lillie is kidnapped a second time by the sorcerer, and action ensues once more. She feels as though she finally fits in someplace and now her world is thrown up in the air again. More detail is added to Lillie and her friends, so the characters become more rounded, and I can’t help but love them. I would definitely recommend finishing the first book in order to read this one, as it holds a lot of information you need in order to fully enjoy part two. 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this series by Everly Taylor, and I know you will love Lillie and her friends just as much as I do!

WILD VAMP (JADED VAMP BOOK 2) AUDIO BOOK by L.D. WOSAR was a great listen! I loved the action and characters. Listening to the narrator was great, it felt like a lot of effort went into bringing the characters to life. Kaysee was a great female lead; so strong and decisive. Not everything worked out, but that just made her more relatable.

The second book in the Jaded Vamp series, and oh so very different then the first book. I love how much we see the characters grow between the first and second book. The time jump was concerning at first but the more I read the better idea it was. Kaysee is a badass; we see that with every new chapter, she’s a master swordswomen, a mother, a wife and a queen bee to an entire coven of vampires. This is definitely not your typical vampire romance novel. I’m not sure what I was expecting in this series but what I got was a very steamy adult romance novel, with the added bonus of fantasy.
This is the second book in the Sons of Sindicato series. This is a Romantic Suspense novel and is 341 pages. This story follows Dane and Mila. Mila and Dane have a history. Mila used to be a mafia princess and now all she wants is that part of her life back. For years Dane has watched Mila move on, farther and farther away from his heart. Now, she wants to come back. Come back to what her life was in the mafia and with Dane. He still loves her, but can he let her back in?

Blue Summer part Two is the second installment to this series and this reader loved it just as much as the first installment. Ms. Taylor provides us with a continuation of this paranormal romance story, giving her readers everything from love, magic, romance, drama, suspense and more. Her characters are just as realistic as they were in the first installment, making it easier to fall in love with them, and feel all of their emotions. Based on the cover and the descriptions of this series you aren’t sure what your getting into but once you start you won’t be able to put it down. Ms. Taylor’a writing style is so unique and amazing that I read Blue Summer part Two in one sitting. Her writing style is so easy to get swept away in that I look forward to reading more from her.

Ummm HECK YES! This was my first CR Robertson book and honestly my first experience with an almost otherworldly vamp/wolf/something else dark and unknown (but in reality very well known) combo, so I was excited to see how it went. I have to say I am truly left with a gnawing need to know what happens next! Forbidden Wolf is a fantastic weaving of Lycan/vamp lore, action, romance, mystery, and has a slight dystopian feel. Where life is dangerous, unknown, more darkness than light, more obstacle than opportunity but mixed in with an absolutely beautiful love that goes beyond words and sex to something eternal. The steam is amazing, the characters are 3D and full of life, and the world is stunning and devastating at the same time. It has more angst than I normally read, but I am totally down for this type of push and pull, especially when Levi’s wolf gets involved! Something in me is drawn to his absolute certainty and claiming of Tasha, it’s the kind of devotion human women are drawn to…darned wolves and vamps get all the animalistic mating intensity. I will definitely be reading Part 2 and have found a new author to follow, watch, read! @pippawoods

As Lady Isra continues with her dark plans, Astrid is further drawn to the enigmatic witch and she is drawn to him, he is a magnificent animal and the darkness is as strong within him as it is within her. Where will the darkness take Lady Isra and Astrid and will they be able to travel on this dark path together, or will the darkness rip them apart? This is a dark romance with magic woven throughout as you follow along the path of darkness to find out where it leads.
In Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor, Lillie has been kidnapped again by Erius. She has to figure out how to escape from him and get back to the Zayed. Lillie and the Zayed learn many things about her past that explain what is happening now. I feel like I have grown to know and love each of the characters. This was an enjoyable sequel.

Blue Summer Part Two By Everly Taylor ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Well here you go! The second book in Blue Summer picks up where Book one ended. This Paranormal Romance is a full length novel. Let’s start with Lillie getting Kidnapped again. How is that possible? You will have to read it to believe it. As Lillie once again plans her escape from the evil sorcerer, she faces many challenges and discovers who she really is. Those Zayed’s are more than blue people, they could be the only people to help save Lillie’s life. Or maybe they are her future? Fact remains the Zayed’s are who she turns too. Oh and the romance between Lillie and the Zayed’s comes in hotter than you could imagine. WOW just WOW!
Everly Taylor is the imagination behind this steamy book. I love the characters and who they represent. Each has his own power, in this strong family of Zayeds. Keeping Lillie the highlight of this story. This is a real page turner. Everly Taylor pulls you into her story and keeps you reading until the last page of the story. I could not put this one down! I really enjoyed this book because of the fact that the story was original. As this is the first book in the series, I foresee it being quite interesting. It has the usual lycan and vampire rivalry but it was so much more. This book reminded me of the movie Underworld with the vampires being soldiers in a mindless war against the lycans. All her life, Tasha just wanted to be free. Prowling the rainforest at night, she could finally be herself. One fateful night, she met Levi and she was forever changed. Never in his life did Levi expect to meet someone like Tasha. They had one blissful summer together before both had to join the army. If anyone found out about them, it would be a certain death sentence.
A book filled with secrets and lies, action and drama. The author builds a solid foundation for the rest of the series. I loved the main characters and absolutely hated the bad guys which proves what a good writer Ms. Robertson is. There were moments when I found the book a little long but it’s worth pushing through. At one point Tasha did frustrate me, I’ll be honest. Levi literally changed the world fir her and she still wasn’t sure how he felt about her. Come on, wake up Tasha! I’m very excited to find a new series. I can’t wait to read the next part.

This is the second part to the adventures of Lillie and the Zayed, we start with Chief and Brian as they man the computers in the offices and Chief has a bad feeling about sending Heath, Clay and Lillie to her apartment to gather her things, that is until Erius appears near her apartment. As they start to panic and head out, Heath and Clay come running in while trying to explain what happened and how Lillie was in her room packing while they went to answer the door to her landlord, but they couldn’t get to her quickly enough and she disappeared. As they try to come up with a plan to get rid of him once and for all, they decide that in order to do that they need to get Lillie back first. Meanwhile, Lillie has been given a vial of something by Erius and is struggling to move while he pompously talks to his mink Martin as he prepares to start the interrogation, but she just about manages to hide her leg and any evidence she has been with the Zayed.
As Erius starts to question Lillie, he tells her that the serum he has given her will cause her extreme pain if she lies to him, so as she decides what she can say to be evasive but avoid the pain and for the most part she manages, however, she realises that the potion is wearing off and she can start to move, so she decides to try and make her escape. As she is doing this, the four Zayed are heading towards the tower where Lillie is being held, she decides to use some of her skills that Erius will not be expecting and escapes again by distracting him and running the same way she did the first time, much to the surprise of everyone and the frustration of Erius.
As they all regroup and try to find a way to stop Erius once and for all, Lillie and the four Zayed use their skills and ingenuity to come up with a plan, but will they be able to stop Erius one and for all, or will their luck run out? This is a magical race against time with highs and lows making it a gripping sequel you will want to finish.

A whirlwind romance with a dark side is how I would classify Alex and Krystina’s story! I found this story to be a very enjoyable and delicious read! Though this story is very reflective of others in this genre, I find Krystina’s story more inviting and relatable than previous reads of mine in this category. Her reactions and thoughts throughout the story are the way I might have reacted if it was me in this situation. In most other books I have read, the woman always seems to be “weaker” or “damsel in distress” and this was nice to have someone who is trying to do better than that! Who DOESN’T WANT THAT! Thank you Ms. Willink! The only real issue I had was the way the narrators performed the story! I wanted them to be more expressive than monotoned as well as their emphasis/inflection at places it didn’t sound right to have it. Sometimes they would find the right place other times not..it was hard to get past. I gave it 3 stars as it was something I got used to it and I wanted to satisfy my curiosity about what happened at the end of the novel!! I am looking forward to the next volume!

I typically like stand alone books better BUT Amy Mckinley makes each of her books connect in a way that its not super necessary to read the book before it (so far from what I can tell) and you can still understand the story. Like the first book in this series, I love how they didn’t really wait for their relationship to bloom..it already had years prior and they knew it was just right. I love how much Jaxon cared for Kayla and did whatever needed to make sure she was safe. This book was not short of any twists or turns, either! An easy read and definitely a favorite!

Never have I felt less alone as a parent of special needs children! Marcia Nathai-Balkissoon takes you on a beautiful, emotional journey as she tells her daughter’s story and offers resources for her readers with every chapter. It felt more like having a conversation with a friend than reading a book! I was drawn in and it was hard to put it down. Though tears were shed along the way, I walked away feeling more at peace and hopeful for my path moving forward. Anyone who is a parent of a special needs child, or anyone who is a caretaker at all could benefit from this book! Whether you are new to being a caretaker, or someone experienced, Marcia has something to offer. It is truly a gift from the author to the world. I will be keeping it close by to read again and again!

Jeremy Full of Grace by Greta Cribbs is a unique and brilliantly interesting story. From the moment I read the blurb to this book I knew I just had to read it. I had to find out all about this world and if they would find a way to survive. I thought the author did an amazing job at mixing so many different elements. They are ones that I wouldn’t have necessarily said would go together and yet she has made it work effortlessly. This book really does have a bit of everything in and really just grabs your attention. I didn’t know why to expect at all when I started reading this book but what I got was a fantastic and well written story that I couldn’t stop thinking about even after the book had ended.

The Don by Hazel Storm is the first book in Her Three Immortals series. This book is a good story that clearly is setting the scene for whatever is going to come next. We get to learn about all the characters in this book and have the story develop slowly and right. Although this is a genre I enjoy it isn’t one I read very often so it was a joy to pick up this one. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed how she built up the book and the characters. It caught me interest and has held it enough that I will certainly be read in the next book. It was a little bit more tame than I was expecting however it was a good book. I am looking forward to book two.

Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn is the fifth book in the Chase Security series. This is a fantastic book that just adds to a brilliant series. As soon as I started reading this book I was pulled straight back into the series. The book was fast paced and exciting, full of adventure all the way through. I really connected with these two characters. I thought they had a good chemistry and just seemed to work so well together. I quickly became invested in their story and what would happen to them. The author has created a really strong series and each book added to it just makes it all the better. I love when I get a chance to pick up a new book in the series and I am already looking toward to whatever might be next.

This book is amazing and touched my heart completely. As a mother with a healthy child I can only imagine the pain and heartache that accompanies a child with special needs. Marcia is incredibly brave opening herself wide open in this book, describing not only all her pain and feelings about the things her and her family have gone through but also providing practical steps and guidance for any parent going through the same thing.
This book is heartbreaking to read about Emma’s condition but also inspiring and full of hope at her parents strength and determination to give her the best life possible. This book is a must read for any parent who has a special needs child or for anyone who has connections to a special needs child because this helps explain a lot of things. The story of Emma and her family has touched my heart and is one I will never forget.

WILD VAMP (JADED VAMP BOOK 2) by L.D. WOSAR. This is the second book in the Jaded Vamp Book and it was really good. Its the story of vampire and Lycan hybrids and demise of their world. Kaysee Belluomo is a very powerful vampire who is hell bent on a mission to find her missing husband and son. The world she is going to is Vycans which is a vampire/lycan hybrid).She is determined to fight to the death to save her son and husband no matter how violent or bloody it gets. Kaysee is devastated at the thought of losing her husband and son so she is determined to do what it takes to find them and bring them back. I didn’t read the first book but was able to figure this one out pretty quick but I do think it was be easier to keep up if you read book 1 first. I did figure out really quickly that Dominic was a piece of work. He is not what he appears to be and I hope Kaysee figures it out before its too late! This is a fast paced paranormal romance that you will immensely enjoy!

This book really takes you back to high school days. The cliques, the drama, it’s all very relatable. Hadley didn’t know what she was wishing for but was taught an important lesson. I enjoyed this book! Can’t wait to read book two.

The Earl’s Scandalous Wager is a wonderful historical romance novel by Wareeze Woodson. This was a new author to me and I can now gladly add another author to my authors to read group. I’ve not read a lot of historical fiction but I’ve found it to be a genre that I’m enjoying more and more. Philip, Earl of Lenbridge has won the beautiful Emily in a poker game when her brother callously put her up as his stake in the game. To save her from the scandal, Philip marries Emily. I really love so much about this book. I love the backbiting that goes on between the gentry and aristocracy, all trying to out-do one another. It’s vicious at times and makes for very entertaining reading. I loved the growing relationship between Philip and Emily as their marriage of convenience becomes more for the two of them. Philip proves to be a gentleman, taking his wife’ side against his grandmother and the horrible woman who he had originally planned to marry. This is a thoroughly entertaining book. The characters are very well written and the storyline flows well and keeps the reader engaged with the story. I definitely recommend this book.
Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5) by R.L. Dunn. I love this series and I really enjoyed this book! This is the 5th book in the Chase Security Series and its just as good as all the others if not better! Its the story of Wes who is a Chase Security Exec and he’s just returned from a tough mission in New York so he’s looking forward to some down time but that doesn’t come! Ellie is running from her past so when she has a chance to be the Equine Therapy Director at a brand new training facility she jumps on it. Wes is assigned to the Equine Therapy Center and when he meets Ellie is instantly attracted. Their chemistry is off the charts. When trouble comes to find Ellie Wes is there in a heartbeat to protect her. When a body is found in a cabin close to the Equine Center’s property Wes gets involved to find out what is going on but his number one mission is to protect Ellie. This book has tons of romance and lots of mystery. A great read!

Unfortunately, magical creatures can still see the castle although they are not able to enter. Contessia, a Wiccan witch, is full of good. She comes to the castle to find her gnome friend. Unfortunately, she meets Lady Isra and becomes trapped.
After beginning this series, I found that I enjoyed the story more this time. Pieces of Lady Isra’s past are revealed in this book. It makes Lady Isra a more intriguing character.

I have to say this book was NOT what i expected when I first picked up the beauty to read. It was EVEN better. I’m very much familiar with shape shifter novels, werewolves, or paranormal romance.
From my experiences those type of books always have girl meets paranormal guy falls head over heels in love, in the end happy and not a lot of hardship
For Tamara and Josh not the case, When I was reading about scene where Tamara took Josh in not knowing he actually was a shapeshifter, I told myself boom their gonna be in love and be happy and some out side negativity. Often from my readings its always the girl love at first sight, but with Tamara that I dare say was a stubborn fire cracker. Nope! She was a tough built up cookie.
Instead it was Josh who fell completely head over tail for her. Literally. He was o kind and sweet and Tamara was basically against it all. I was yelling at the book at some scenes for Tamara to give Josh a chance. He was such a sweetie and only wanted to give her the world.
As further I read, I learned Tamara is a very relatable character. She had been truly hurt in her past and it was hard for her to allow herself to feel something again for someone let alone to trust and allow herself to be cared for.
Josh had chosen Tamara. But with the hurt and pain Tamara had felt in the past , Josh truly had to work thru to break those walls down to show he was the real deal. And his affections and intentions were true.
I really related to this romance and this novel. Truly did. This was my first by the amazing author and most certainly not my last, I wanted to jut keep on reading. The story was so beautifully done and Tamara and Josh’s story is truly unlike any other.
I will be recommending this novel to all my friends. Its truly a a work of art of a well captivating story that is impossible to forget.
Her Blackened Soul tells the story of Lady Isra. Lady Isra is a witch that has embraced the dark arts. She takes the power of a dragon and becomes more powerful. Isra is a dangerous witch that all young people are told to steer clear of. Her charm is captivating, and she entrances those she meets. In the case of Kane, a mere mortal seeking to be all possessive of women, Isra is enraged that he desires to hold that kind of power of women. She takes him in as her slave. This is the story of that time.
I found this book to be very strange when I started reading it. As time wore on, I became more captivated with the story and enjoyed reading the story. Though it was repetitive at times the story is truly enthralling.

This book is a non-stop action filled read that will suck you in from page one and keep you hooked until the crazy cliffhanger ending that will leave you wanting more right now! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I scooped it up having never read CR Robertson before but I was enthralled by the cover and wanted to know more. I was completely grasped and knew that I was not disappointed I had grabbed this five star read by the time I finished chapter one. This is not your typical vamp fights Lycan Twilight spin off read. It will challenge the stereotypes you have come to build behind those for sure. I can’t say enough good things about this book and I am anxious to see what the next one in the series will bring us.

This started off as a wonderfully romantic story. These two can not be together but they found a forbidden love. Kinda Romeo and Juliet style. Then this story takes a weird turn. A third party shows up and wants Tasha. This part just threw me for a loop. I really couldn’t figure out where this was going. Not sure I am a huge fan of this part. It took the story from paranormal to almost sci-fi. But it certainly is full of action, drama and some great smexy scenes. At times I didnt care for Tasha. For a vamp she is not too confident in her man. I mean he is changing the world…so at times he is a busy beaver…I mean wolf. By the end I was really rooting for her to be strong and him to not lose her.
The secondary characters..well I either loved or hated them. I did enjoy Radar and the relationship he has with Levi. As well as I wonder what that Donovan is all about. I bet he comes out to play more fully in future books.
Overall is it a different kind of paranormal. Full of characters that really get under my skin. I couldn’t help but wish them the best by the end.

I definitely enjoyed the first book in this series. Ava Alise does a great job of making us fall in love with the main characters of this story. I was wondering “will they, won’t they?” on nearly every page. It’s got the “boy-next-door” vibes since Jordan and Xia grew up across the street from each other. Best friends in every sense of the phrase. Watching the one you love while they love someone else is difficult – and I think we have all been there. I caught myself not even bothering to stop reading until I had consumed the whole book. And now all I want is to read the next one because the ending to this one made me INSANELY curious about what could happen next! Don’t miss out, binge this book TODAY!

Let me preface this by saying: this is not normally the type of book that I would pick up, but I am so glad that I did! If you are doubting whether or not it would be a good read, let me tell you that it is an almost nostalgic reminder of everything about your teenage years. When I look back on High School, I tend to remember mostly the good. This book brought me back to my hometown city, the drama, the popular vs the unpopular, and the confusing emotions that go with adolescence. Krysten did a GREAT job with the characters and the writing in this story. Being a Michigander myself, I was happy to see places that I recognized. Hadley is the majority of us – trying to find her way, figure out how to navigate life after her best friend moves away, and getting uprooted just when she thinks she has things slightly figured out. Charlotte is the quiet friend, but always loyal – even when she shouldn’t be. Simone and her group are the clique everyone wants to be in until they realize that even the clique isn’t happy and they are better off doing what makes them happy rather than trying to impress the masses.
I think this book is perfect for those getting ready to go into high school or the ones who are still navigating it. I’m excited to read the next installment and see what happens as they keep growing.
