Ouroboros by T.S Simons is the third book in the Antipodes Series. This is part of a series, and is meant to be read as such. When I started it, I wasn’t sure it would be something that would keep my attention. Sometimes a great story is spread out so much that it is just almost unbearable. This is NOT the case with this series! I believe Simons did a wonderful job keeping the story alive and action packed.
In life we are always begging for the answers. We HAVE to know everything, but sometimes we get more than we bargain for. Can we let those answers drive a wedge between our relationships?

I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett I do not know which one I like the most and her writing just gets better with each book. The characters are well written with strong minds. Her detailed description of the background and people are amazing. The Satan Devils MC are not just a bunch of misfits that come together it is a brotherhood and they look out for their own.
All Sophie did help her best friend escape her abusive boyfriend, and for that she ended up in a wheelchair. But now her nightmare is only beginning because, Ethan wants Sophie as leverage to get his woman back.
Some how Sophie ended up under the protection of the Satan Devils and now she is in outlaw motorcycle club in Arizona. With her newly disability she is scared and vulnerable, and soon I find this isn’t the safest place to hide.
Wraith isn’t looking for love or old lady. But things change when Sophie rolls in. He wanted her from the start but she is so insecure. She doesn’t fit into his world or does she? she thinks she’s undesirable and is scared of taking a man to her bed as though her disability defines who she is. She is so wrong and now Wraith is going to make it his mission.

First We Kill All The Lawyers had me on edge throughout as I became immersed in Donovan’s life. I felt his pain as he clung to life after several attempts on his life. I waited with bated breath to see if his lady love would survive the attempt on her life. I anxiously turned the pages to see if this man would find his happily ever after or if fate would intervene. I recommend this book and cannot wait to read more books in this series.

Stepping Stone Audio Book by Dakota Willink is he second book the Stone Series. This is a direct continuation from book one so I would recommend listening to them in order. I thought this book was definitely better than the first – it felt like there a bit more to the story and I felt the connection to the characters a little more. Although I still found them to be flawed I could relate to them better and understood a little more why they acted in certain ways.
The author really did get a good balance in the story. I liked that it focused more on character development this time round and I though it made the pace of the book just right.
The narrators have done a good job of becoming the characters they were reading about. You could feel the switch between the two and they blended well. This is a good series and one that I have enjoyed.

This is the second book in The Stone Series. This an audio book and is just under 8 hours listening time. This story continues with Alexander and Kyrstina. Krystina has issues from a past experience and Alexander is harboring secrets. He knows that if he wants to win her back, he is going to have to tell her everything about his past. The sizzle between these two is something that cannot be ignored. I simply cannot wait for the third book!

This quick, addicting, emotional rollercoaster of a book hit me right in the feels-and I mean in all the feels. I was angry, cried tears of sorrow, cried tears of happiness, followed by more tears of grieving acceptance, then throw in a bit of intrigue, compassion, and more tears for good measure.
Amy wrote a fantastic book layered with genius plot lines so simply laid out and well executed that the story came out seamlessly. It seems strange to recommend a book about an abused woman on the run that seeks help from her deceased brother’s best friend (that has family ties with special ops) to overcome her abuse, secrets of the past, and dangers of the future; oh and let’s not forget that because the author plays expertly on your heartstrings, you’ll cry, a lot, but here we are The book was splendid.
Great books like this transport you to another place and allow you to see and feel what the characters are experiencing. They can even leave an impact on you and maybe remind you that life can be short so make it sweet. I’m so impressed with this author’s abilities, I can’t wait to binge read the next book in the series.

Wild Vamp Audio Book by L.D. Wosar is the second book in the Jaded Vamp series. This is a book that I had previously read so was looking forward to the audio book version to revisit the story.
Unfortunately I did find myself struggling with the audio book version. I knew to expect it jumping between the different POV’s however I didn’t expect to find it as confusing while listening to it. I kept losing track of the characters. This was also the first book I have listened to that felt a bit over produced. The music and the effects that peppered the narration were, for me, a little off putting.
That being said this is still worth the 4* review I have given as the story itself I know to be great and everything I have mentioned was just my personal preference over audio books. I am certain that there are plenty of people who would be looking for this type of narration that would thoroughly enjoy this book. I would definitely recommend you listen to this book – although I would recommend doing the series in order for a better enjoyment.

Mariekkela: From Finland With Love by Stu Ledwith is a well written and unique story. It is spiritual and emotional right from the word go and slowly draws the reader deeper into the story. The author did a great job of creating and imaginative and vivid story that really centres around the characters. I could almost feel everything they did and it made it even better to read. This is an author I have only recently become familiar with and yet I like how each of his books are different. No story is the same and you never quite know what you are going to get from him. This is another great story and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Okay. I keep changing my favorite read of the year. I’m OBSESSED with this book- Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils #1) by Manda Mellett. I’m on the way home from visiting family and literally ignored my family in the car because I HAD to read this book. Omg. The characters?! Amazing. I legitimately related to the potty mouth on these guys. A lot of writers throw cursing in books that doesn’t seem authentic but- it’s perfect. The storyline was heavy but so amazingly done! Don’t EVEN get me started on the sexy parts. Have you seen that GIF of Santana from Glee fanning herself? Picture that nearly the entire time I read this book! Throughout the entire story I have legitimately laughed, cried, and swooned! This is a definite must read for anyone interested in reading MC!

This story took me on a long long journey. Part of the time I wondered why? It just seemed like I was watching the daily lives of these people. I was struggling to keep turning pages. Then it started to pick up more than half way through the book. The ending all twisty and full of who dunnits.
The characters are a plenty. We the the MC and a few secondary then many on the outskirts. Some I enjoyed, others I couldn’t stand then there are those that impress me with their about-face. I know times were different back then. But what poor Emily had to put up with from well…really everyone is outlandish. Favorite character would be Emily for her strength to overcome and endure everyone around her.
Overall this is an okay story…closer to the end. The parties and day to day living really didn’t further the story in the book so I could have passed on some of those. The beginning though was well done and drew my interest into the story. The slower pace of the story just isn’t for me. The characters seemed well done and the excitement at the end was well done
I was new to Manda Mellet when I picked up this book. I read the description and thought it sounded super interesting given one of the main characters was in a wheelchair and it took place in a motorcycle club ?! And involved bikers from the UK ? Wait, that exists ? How does that work ?! Sure, I’m all in for this one! Once I started reading I quickly realized how much more this book contained then I had originally thought. It was longer than most books in this genre, I think, but I wasn’t really familiar with the genre itself. I devoured every last page and it definitely didn’t feel overlong as I neared the end I actually found myself wishing there was more. I needed more Wraith and Sophie and more of the rest of the MC. The characters felt like real people, like they could just walk off the page. You could really feel Sophie’s angst, and struggles, Wraith, Horse, Peg, and the rest of the guys love for her. Their love for the MC went deep. They were wholly prepared to defend her against the evil, vicious man that was Ethan St John-Davies. Not to mention plenty of smut and sexyness to keep things rolling. I would definitely give this book a try if this type of book is your thing or even if it’s not there were many layers to this book that just might pull you in. I, for one, am glad it’s part of a series because I definitely need more. Also, even though I didn’t need to use it the author includes a super helpful glossary at the back of the book that may explain some of the things mentioned in the book if you have any questions as to what’s what while reading.

This book caught me by surprise. I was like oh yet another Lycan and vampire forbidden love story. But IT was nothing as I thought. Though it does have that as a major theme to the overall story, that’s not it. There is a secret connection between the two races that they seem to be oblivious about. This book is the beginning of this series and I am looking forward to reading more of it. But in this, while being introduced to Robertson’s world you meet several characters that I assume will take center focus as each story is told. But in this one Tasha and Levi. I love their story so hard.

Moonlit Kiss : A Venice Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley
I have to admit that this is one of my favorite authors. The mix of romance and suspence is just so balanced. I just don’t want to put the book down. I am hooked from page one. The characters just come to life and I can feel as though I am right there with them. She really brings the locations into vivid reality.
I like how the chemistry between the two main characters is and how the drama unfolds around them. I also like how the book has a great balance. There is just enough suspence to keep you at the edge of your seat and enough romance to melt your heart. I look forward to reading more from this author.
This is the 3rd book in the Blackened Series and I would suggest reading the first two to get a good feel for the characters. I love the mixture of fairy-tale and magic. What makes these books unique is that they are written from the view of the “villian” Lady Isra.
Lady Isra is a witch who tends to sway more towards the dark side of things. When she is brought back to life she spends time with her raven-man Astrid. Astrid is the love of Lady Isra and in this book I feel that he has become more of a dark force in her life. However things and people aren’t what they seem and when secrets from the past collide with the future it’s hard to know what and who to trust. Add to this story Ronald who’s is seeking revenge for his brother Kane and Lady Isra disappearing and it makes for a packed adventure full of twists and turns that will keep you gripped and guessing all the way along.

After reading this story, I am now a huge fan of Ty Drago! Dragons begins with Andy Brand waking up in a futuristic jail cell. He has no idea who kidnapped him or why he is there. Then he hears a voice. The Voice asks him to light a paper on fire. Andy pretends to not know how he could do that, but we learn that he is a supernatural being called the Kind. The Kind live among us as humans but have a powerful heat inside them that they call their dragon. The story goes from there into space and into rescuing a mining colony on a moon of Jupiter. It seems fairly cut and dry, but there is a twist. Andy’s world tips on his axis, but in the process, he learns more about himself. This story was sci-fi and completely fantastic! I could not put it down nor could I even predict what was going to happen. It is your next must read!

I can’t say enough good things about Tally and the Angel by Eleanor Dixon. I ventured way outside my comfort zone when I chose to read this. I’m very glad I did. I got way more than I bargained for. Tally and the Angel is a great story, with strong characters, and excellent descriptions of the places Tally visits. I felt like I was there in India and the Taj Mahal. Eleanor Dixon gives a lot of opportunities for the reader to learn compassion, empathy, choosing between right and wrong, especially for younger readers. I plan to read this to my kids soon, I think they’ll really enjoy it! I can not wait to see where Tally and the Angel go on their next adventure. I highly recommend it for every age!

Jeremy Full of Grace is the latest release from the talented Greta Cribbs. I have read most of Ms. Cribbs books now, so when this popped up on my recommended book feed I didn’t hesitate to snap up a copy and dive in. This book is a little difficult to label, being quite an intriguing mix of elements. There is definitely a sci-fi aspect to the story, as well as a bit of a dystopian feel- with mystery, miracles, drama, thought provoking developments, religion, hope, and faith. The world population has been devastated by a plague which has also left the survivors sterile. The very fate of humanity is at stake. We meet Jeremy, a 17 year old boy….. who just happens to be PREGNANT! You read that right- a pregnant BOY. I must admit I wasn’t sure how this thread of the story would play out, or how believable it would be- but Ms. Cribbs made it entirely plausible- delivering a engrossing story that gave me plenty to think about. A well-woven, original, and intriguing story- with a good dose of miracles, faith, belief… and new beginnings- it all made for a great read.

In His Kiss is an incredible angsty and steamy friends to lover’s romance read that I enjoyed from start to finish. It was dramatic, emotional, captivating and action packed. I loved how this author managed to connect me with the characters from the get go, they were really relatable so it made it easy to picture everything playing out in my mind.
I enjoyed how this story followed Xia and Jordan, along with the many secondary characters, there was truly never a dull moment. I look forward to reading more about this group of friends in the coming books of the series.

Twisted Secrets is the first novel in a new series, Deadly Isles Special Ops. Xander and Riley are both very likeable characters and I was rooting for them the entire time. The development of their relationship was smooth and realistic, which I liked. The level of suspense and mystery in the novel was perfect and kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had it figured out, a new twist threw the story in a different direction. I loved this novel and will for sure read the rest of the series!

I am dying to know what becomes of Xander and Riley and will their love survive all of the hits they have taken? Being in a military relationship is difficult but I am sure Riley and Xander can survive it with all that they have been through in their lives.

Wow! The Hunter’s Heart tells the story of Poppy, a human with not much going for her on Earth. When she and several other women are kidnapped and awaken on an alien space ship, they fight back with the help of Zensah and his panther-man warriors. Escaping, each human woman is left alone with one of the warriors. As Poppy and Zensah travel through the unknown(to her) world, Zensah teaches her how to hunt, fight, and survive on his planet.
This novel is amazing! The setting is magical, beautiful, and so creative. The dangers feel real, and the emotions between Zensah and Poppy hit the reader straight in the heart. Some of the parts told from Poppy’s point of view were laugh out loud funny with the way she thinks. I hope that Astrid Sharpe continues this series because I NEED to know what happens next! Great writing, I couldn’t put this book down once I started it!

This is the second book in this series that I have read. I must admit, I didn’t love this one quite as much as I did the first book. But it’s still a great read and one I do recommend you pick up. Once again the author did a wonderful job with the paranormal description she used in the book. The romance was also just as good, but for some reason I just didn’t feel like the chemistry was as real as in the first book. At least not until the end. Perhaps that was the authors decision to keep you guessing until the end when you did realize that they were a good couple. This is another very fast paced read filled with just as much magic, drama, and suspense as the first book which I once again loved. This series isn’t one that you must read the books to understand the storyline. You can pick this one up without reading the predecessor and enjoy it just as much.

Holy Crap!! As I reached the end of this book I literally felt gut punched! This whole story is completely amazing and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading…but the end?!?! I fell off my seat and felt like I kept falling! This officially goes down as one of my favorite out of left field kind of moments..I had not even a slight inclination of what was going to happen.
These two authors are amazing by themselves but together they are explosive! You really really have to read the novella before this as it kind of runs at the same time and gives you information you need for this story. I have fallen in love with all of these people, and can not wait for the next part and also can not wait for whatever these two authors come up with next, and I do hope there are more projects they tackle together.

This is the second book in the Blue Summer series and it was just as captivating as the first one. The magic and romance is still there as well as the lurking danger of Erius. The characters are so amazingly written. Each one of Lillie’s mates are unique and have different personalities but they all complement Lillie as if they were all parts that make up Lillie.
In this part of the story after Lillie escapes again from Erius’s evil clutches, she and her mates realise that Eruis won’t stop until they stop him. As they plan to go to battle Lillie finally gets her other mates which strengthen their bond completely. There are also secrets that are uncovered along the way which when revealed explain a lot about Lillie and the things that have happened that lead her to the Zayed.

Overall, I really enjoyed this audio book. The narration was good, it was easy to listen to and I liked the story. I always thought I would find it harder to connect with characters in an audio book but I definitely didn’t in this one. I liked Marcus and Sarena, he was definitely an alpha male – I loved that about him and I really liked Sarena too, I don’t always like the sweet and innocent female lead but I couldn’t help but think she was nice and definitely perfect for Marcus (in my opinion) – she did have a little bit of sass about her though!
Peyton Banks is a new to me author and I am definitely looking forward to listening/reading more of her stories!
Mountains Wanted ( Mountains Series #1) By Phoebe Alexander was a wonderful book to read, in fact I didn’t want to put it down…. OMG what a rollercoaster of emotions!!
Dr Sarah Lynde is a professor with a very open mind and lifestyle, being Bi and believing in Poly relationships, she is always true to herself while juggling work and being a single parent. Something I find admiring about this character. I mean who doesn’t want to be able to be true to themselves at all times. Along comes James McAllister, a gorgeous young Army man currently teaching ROTC . They both decide to enter into a “Friends with Benefits” type of relationship with no complications. Of course over time emotions and feelings definitely come in to it for them both. The big question is…Is what they feel for each other enough for them both to feel that they can build a future?
This was a fantastic start to the series. It is filled with characters of great depth and heart, plenty of steamy scenes and it is full of emotion. I don’t just want to read the next book to see what happens next with Sarah and James, I NEED too!

5 Stars Ouroboros (Antipodes III) by T.S. Simons I absolutely love the cover of this book and find myself like with the other covers just staring at them. For some odd reason I seem to relax. This is the third book in the Antipodes series and I highly recommend reading this series in order to get the full understanding of what is going on. I’ve really come to be a fan of the Dystopian genre where before I definitely wasn’t. This story like the others takes us on quite the journey but in this one we see friendships and find out the value of said friendships. Fibd out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn is book five of the Chase Security series. This book can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read any other books in the series yet but didn’t lose any of the experience. This book was so good that I am going to go back to the beginning and read them all!
Wes is back after a tough mission in New York. He doesn’t have time to process his thoughts on that because he jumps into taking over training in Virginia. The last thing he expects to find himself doing is leading an investigation on missing women. He’s still reeling after everything else, he’s not sure he can handle everything now. As if his cup isn’t already running over, Wes can’t help how drawn he is to Eleanor. Eleanor is starting over. Equine-assisted therapy at the Chase Center is where she’s going to attempt to do that. She never expected to meet Wes but she has to resist at all costs. There are lots of secrets between them. Can Wes and Eleanor lay it all on the line?
There is a lot of suspense and mystery in this book and it most definitely keeps you intrigued. I couldn’t put it down! Eleanor is much like any woman in regards to her negative body image which makes her very relatable as a character. I really enjoyed both Wes and Eleanor and was rooting for them the whole time! Can’t wait to read more of the series!

Wow wow wow so you know me I love me a forbidden romance and this was definitely it. And especially paranormal forbidden romance is just a whole new level. I loved the relationship between Levi and Tasha. There is so much action and war happening in this book it makes it hard to put down and it is one of those where you have to read it in one sitting because you just can’t put the book down. Really enjoyed this!
