Revive (Rewind #3)Revive by Rowan Shaw
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think this series gets better with every book. I never hesitate to pick up this author, I know I’m in for a ride when I do. This one is no different. This is a story of romance and professional boundaries. Brandon and Patrick are great characters that have strong chemistry. After a one night stand and the realization of a patient – therapist relationship will they cross the line? They made the story feel real and kept me turning pages to the end. I highly recommend this must read book.

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee – Review by Terri Lee

Lost in CarmelLost in Carmel by Terri Lee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lost in Carmel by Terri Lee is an emotive period piece set in 1977. This emotive story focuses on the life of Hollywood Star and America’s Sweetheart, Natalie Hampton. She has risen to the top of the Hollywood ladder, child actor to movie star. Everyone loved her- until they turned on her. The price of fame you say. Well this story gives us an in-depth look at the ‘price tag’. What seems perfect, glamorous, and enviable- may not be all it’s cracked up to be. When Natalie’s life turns upside down, she flees to Italy to regroup, and find/rediscover her ‘true’ self- and unexpectedly, romance blossoms. But will it be the lasting, forever kind of love?
Terri Lee knows just how to draw you in and keep you engaged. Adding drama and raw emotion to her story in just the right amounts to hold her readers attention right through to the end. This is the first book of hers that I have read, so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. I can honestly say she has won me over with this wonderful piece of women’s fiction- and I will definitely be following her work from here on out.
Terri Lee paints such rich and vibrant scenes. Bringing Hollywood, Italy, and Carmel to life. I was there with Natalie, experiencing all the sights and sounds- right alongside her.

Beautiful!
Thank you, Terri Lee!

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) by KG Fletcher – Review by Karyn Taylor

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts #2)Stars Fall From the Sky by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stars Fall from The Sky is the outstanding 2nd book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. It can be read as a stand-alone although Emeline and Thomas from the first book Run To The Sea have a prominent role in this book, I would advise to read that first. (It’s helped by the fact that Run To The Sea is also an amazing book).
This first thing I’m going to say about this book is that you are going to need tissues handy when you read it. I even posted on the author’s Facebook page after a few chapters asking why she hadn’t warned that tissues were required. She told me to hang on in there, so I did. Guess what? I cried even more.
Ginger and Jonathon’s story is so emotional. I’m not saying you will be constantly crying, although there was some happy crying from me too. There is a lot of love and laughter too.
Ginger is widowed very early in the book and is left devastated to bring up her newborn daughter Daisy. (This is not a spoiler as this information is contained in the book blurb).
Jonathan has recently moved to the area and taken over the doctor’s practice. He’s moving on from heartbreak and wanting to start his life over.
The 2 are drawn together when they both join a grief club in order to help them control the grief they are both suffering from. As their friendship grows and both start to have feelings for each other we have an amazing story of 2 grief stricken people who are facing so much personal guilt about the possibility of loving another person.
KG Fletcher is an author whose writing I have totally fallen in love with and this book is a wonderful example of the amazing characters she writes and the journeys that these characters go in. This book just has everything. I’m struggling for the right words to say just how amazing and beautiful this story is. I know I have just finished reading this, so it’s front and foremost in my mind but I think this has just become my favourite K.G. Fletcher book.
Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Pigs by Daniel James – Review by Angela Hayes

PigsPigs by Daniel James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pigs by Daniel James is a thrilling quest for revenge. Full of suspense, mystery drama, action, danger murder, violence, shocking scenes, gruesome details, and emotion. This is a killer game of cat and mouse, which had me in its grasp right from the beginning.
I made the mistake of starting this book just before bedtime- needless to say I sat up long into the night- because I couldn’t put it down. Even when the scenes became quite harrowing, I couldn’t turn away- even though I wanted to- I needed to find out what happens.
This is a story of love, loss, grief, guilt, rage, vengeance, darkness, and emotion. It is both chilling and gripping- keeping me guessing the whole way. I would class Isaac, our MC, as a bit of an anti-hero. He has done, and does do, some terrible things- but you can’t help rooting for him anyway. His adversary in this story is a real cold hearted, brutal, unhinged piece of work- and often seemed to be one step ahead of Isaac. How does it all play out? Well you really should read all the intense details for yourself.
I can’t wait to see what Daniel James does next!

Thank you, Mr. James!

The story Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is a YA/science fiction book. It is a story that I found intriguing just by reading the description of it. The story takes you on a journey that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Tati. She finds herself noticing strange things happening around her and wants to find out the reasons. What is happening to Tati? What will happen if she finds the truth? What does the future hold for Tati? Read this book to find out. I was impressed with the depth of detail and information that is given in the story. I felt like I was right there with Tati. The story will have you turning pages and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. The book is unforgettable and has amazing characters. I would highly recommend reading it.

Love & Ghosts (Crescent City Ghost Tours, #1)Love & Ghosts by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love & Ghosts is the first book in the Crescent City Ghost Tours series.

I loved Carrie’s Crescent City Wolf Pack series so I had to check this one out. This book did not disappoint. I’d give it more than five stars if I could. It does have a different feel than the Wolf Pack series, but the characters are just as entertaining and the story is expertly woven. I jumped into this book and couldn’t put it down. You can’t help but keep reading to find out what is up with the box!

One of my favorite things about this book was the costume that Sean wore to the ball and the running theme with it throughout the story.

Perfect Halloween season read! I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4)Hope by Seelie Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hope was a thrilling 5 star read and book four in the Feisty Lawyers series.
Once I started I couldn’t put it down.

Hope has had special training and uses the training to help others. She has joined the Agency which is her dream job. Helping others is something she has always wanted to do. When things take a dangerous twist, Hope finds herself in danger.

Overall I really enjoyed this read. Hope is a strong character that I really liked, I was pulled right into her story. We get action, drama, suspense and so much more. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I suggest that you read the other books in the series first before this one. Seelie Kay has done a great job with her writing you feel like you are right there with Hope. If you’re looking for a great series, 1-click and get started today.

Hidden Tracks by Zoe Lee – Review by Angela Hayes

Hidden TracksHidden Tracks by Zoe Lee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hidden Tracks by Zoe Lee is a contemporary rock star romance. I loved all the banter, quips, camaraderie, friendships- and the fun vibe of this story.
Astrid Sinclair has had to work incredibly hard to get to where she is. The music journalist knows all the ins and outs of the music industry first hand, having been married to a ‘rock god’. Since the divorce, she’s had to put in extra effort to earn her respected reputation. She may make her living from writing about rocks stars and musicians, but she has vowed never to get personally involved with one ever again. Her rule is about to be tested though, when she decides to do a story on the band “Downbeat”. Spending some time with the band to get all the information she needs puts her in close proximity with Seth Riveau, and their chemistry is instantaneous. Will he find a way to break down her defences? Will she decide to take a chance on love?
I had a little trouble finding my rhythm with this book. I struggled to connect with the characters and the story, but I think that maybe I was just having an ‘off’ day. There were times Astrid and Seth frustrated me quite badly and I had the urge to shake them. I loved seeing and catching up with some of the characters we met in ‘A Perfect Fit’- I especially love the camaraderie and friendship of the group.
If you love a great rock star romance, with wonderful characters, and just a little push-pull; then this is definitely the book for you!

Thank you, Zoe Lee!

Evergreen by Mya O’Malley was an excellent and fun read. I loved how this novel incorporated shelter pets into it. The characters were developed well and realistic. I found it easy to relate to them having several rescue pets of my own. I also found that the storyline was easy to follow and get lost in. It made it difficult for me to put this book down. I also loved the cover art. It is very eye catching. I highly recommend this book!

HOPE is the 4th book in “The Feisty Lawyers Series” and this story can absolutely be read as a stand-alone with no problem. I do recommend reading in order if you can because there are threads and layers that tie all of the books together which make for very rich reading.

As with all of the books in this series, there is action and adventure and suspense. This is a shorter story and can be read in one sitting. It moves quickly and there aren’t any wasted words or scenes used as filler.

This is a series, an author and a book I absolutely recommend.

Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4)Hope by Seelie Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hope is the fourth book in Seelie Kay’s Feisty Lawyers’ series that keeps taking us on a rollercoaster ride from the first chapter! I guess you could read it as a standalone but I sincerely suggest you start from the beginning as all the main cast has been there from the beginning so you want to know how we came to where we are!
This is Hope’s story as the title gives away and finally she has achieved her dream and she is part of Agency and she is ready to show the all that she has got what is needed so she heads for her first assignment-mission … unfortunately it doesn’t work out as she expected and Hope is left broken and fighting for her life and the uncertainty is overwhelming …
The writer is as good as ever, she gives us a story that is filled with action, emotion, danger, drama and all of our old friends and enemies and she is giving it to us in a such complex way that at times you are not sure what to expect next! I know that I cannot wait to see what happens next as she has set a stage for something insanely thrilling!

The Sisters,
Texas Mystery Series
Book 1
By Becki Willis
☆☆☆☆☆
This is a full length novel. The beginning of a great series. Of which I will be reading this as soon as I can. Mild, clean, and funny. This is the way a mystery story should read, as far as I’m concerned.

Maddy and her twins have moved to make a new start. They will move in with her Grandmother, in her hometown. That is just the beginning of this story. Maddy is stronger than she thought as she wades through her new journey. That is where I leave you. As you will have to read Maddy story to believe it. So much action!

I love how Becki Willis has written her fast paced mystery. The characters she has created make me wonder if they were her neighbors. She gives that much into her book. I also enjoyed how the focus was solving the mystery and just the right amount of the budding romance. This is a no spoiler review. Becki Willis I am looking forward to reading your complete series.

Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4)Hope by Seelie Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4) by Seelie Kay, 4 stars.

If you have read the previous books, you have met a younger Hope. I really like the progression of this character. She is a bit overconfident, but not a snob about it. She just hates to fail. The other characters in this series are back too, and they are just as great as you expect. The are real people, not just background placement.

The story is wonderful too. While we have have read about the different relationships and people of this secret group (if you have been following the series), the author yet again makes this one different from the others, showing us Hope in training and putting her in a situation different than we’ve seen before. There is much going on here for a shorter book, you will not be able to put it down.

The fourth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone, but you will experience more if you read them all. This book has it all — sex, action, humor, the importance of family, and the adage to save those needing saving.

Falling For His Badass by Jessika Klide

5 out of 5 stars

Falling For his Badass written by Ms. Klide is the first in this series. This is a short story with a major cliffhanger….
The characters are well written, and you can see the sparks coming off the pages. The plot was great even though a little short I just loved it…
I read this book in one sitting I just couldn’t put it down.

Lizzy is tired of making the wrong choices when it comes to men, she trusts her best friend Tara to take her away for the weekend, She knows that if she wants an all-consuming love, she’s going to have to take a bigger risk to attract a different type of man.
Her panic button will be pushed, and before the first night is over, she will be Falling for His Badass.

In comes Brody Andrews (or otherwise known as BA or “badass”) is a military man to the core. He gets a quick peek of Lizzy at his brother’s house and must have her. In comes a Brody plan where they meet by chance. I’m not saying any more because the book is to short but.

Do BA and Lizzy hit it off? Can Lizzy overcome her panic attacks? Will BA show her she is worth the effort? Will Lizzy take the chance on BA? You will need to read this great book…

As much as this cover scared the bejeesus outta me I just knew I had to read this book after reading the synopsis. Holy Moly talk about a lot of moving parts. I only got lost a couple times as there was so much going on, but it didn’t take long to find my way back. I wish this author had more books out because I’ll tell you right now I would be 1 clicking right about now but I’ll have to settle with following so Im first in line when the next one comes out. I would so love to see a follow up to this book, I became so invested in Isaac’s story and I did not want it to end.

His journey to avenge those he loved was a nail biting while sitting on the edge of your seat kind of story. My heart is still literally broke for this man. I could almost feel the battle he was fighting not only physically but the one he had raging in his mind. I also loved Roach, and there just seems to be more story to tell for both of them. I sincerely hope there’s more to come.

I highly recommend anyone that loves a good crime / mystery / dangerous / thrill ride to grab this book immediately. I absolutely loved it and the writing was outstanding!

Amazing and falls in the deserves more than 5 stars category!

I really enjoyed reading Hope (Feisty Lawyers Book 4) by Seelie Kay. It is a story that is suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. While the story may be a bit shorter than some books, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t powerful. I loved reading about the character of Hope Ali. She is a young woman who is intelligent, independent, and stubborn. Read this book to find out what happens when a mission goes off track. The story has action, danger, and a wonderful storyline. I couldn’t bring myself to put it down and I finished it all in one sitting. I am truly enjoying reading this series and about the characters that are in each one. I would recommend reading this series in order as characters are brought forward into the next book from previous ones. Don’t miss out on a fast-paced journey that is unforgettable. Chicken Scratch by Becki Willis is the first book in The Sisters, Texas Mystery series. This is a cozy, fun mystery to read. What happens when you have gotten used to the big city and have to move back to small-town life with your children. Madison finds herself in this position and tries to make the most of it. When she starts her new job she finds a dead body. Now to find the killer!
I enjoyed the characters and how they were developed to be individuals. Each plays a part in the story. I also like the small-town setting. It takes it from being a gritty, detective novel to something a bit lighter. I will definitely be picking up the next book to see where the story goes.

The story Journey’s Through SpaceTime (Journey’s Through Book 1) by James Talisman is an amazing read. It hooks you in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The book has many different characters. I love how the author pays attention to detail when writing about what the characters are doing or where they are visiting at the time. I felt like I was right there with them on their journey. The book has action, danger, mystery, betrayal, and will keep you guessing as to what will happen next. I was turning pages to find out. I enjoyed reading about the characters and their stories. The way that they were written about had me caring about what happened to them. I felt a connection to many of them as they are introduced, and you learn more about them. This is a book that has several narratives and I enjoyed how each one was presented. Knight Watch (An Alliance Agency Novel #1)Knight Watch by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Knight Watch (An Alliance Agency Novel Book 1) by Maddie Wade & India Kells is a spin off from their other series and as soon as I see either of their names anywhere near a book then I know I have to have it. My girls never let me down. I have not read anything from these two that I have not loved. There is lots of suspense and danger, angst and sadness, amazing sparks and chemistry and above comradery. There is a lot of emotions to go through with this story and one was a deep sadness at the pain and suffering from our main character but with the help of a dark and sexy man and the Alliance Agency she may just come out the other side. All of the people related to the Agency are wonderful and funny, the banter just cracked me up laughing, but cross them and watch out. Find them sexy and hang on, ooooh la la.

Kingsley and his team on looking for a kidnapped woman and all it takes is one look for him to be slightly smitten. If only he could find her. It seems the one who wanted her found has an ulterior motive and he is definitely not what he seems. What they discover is evil incarnate and a whole twisted world.

Sydney has had so much loss and tragedy one top of one of the most horrendous ordeals in her life that has left her fighting to stay out of the dark deep hole. When she gets kidnapped she finally finds out some home truths about the person behind all her terror and sadness. So when a man with a sexy British accent comes to her rescue she doesn’t know who to trust.

This story is really well written as you come to expect from Maddie and India and I love the way characters from the other series cross over. Explosive read, yes so you will kick yourself if you don’t get it today. I am anxiously awaiting more from these two, the dynamic duo.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fire & Ice (Spicetopia Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander is probably my favourite in the series. It is suspenseful, intriguing and mysterious story that is also fun and I love the banter of the main characters. It is also sexy and steamy and a great continuation of this excellent series. This is a little different from the first two but I loved it. Phoebe has created a world where all our pleasures will come true, a world where anything goes, a world for the rich and famous set on a tropical island which really makes it a hardship to read. Not. It is a quick read but it has a lot going on which keeps you glued to the pages wanting to know who is after them.

Neve is the head security guy for the new Spicetopia and is on a press circuit with the head of media, Enya. Unfortunately she is a pain in his neck. He is a man of few words and a huge chip on his shoulder but it seems nothing can get through to him. That is until they disappear but will anyone be able to find them?

Enya loves to talk, it is her job after all but Neve is a hard nut to crack. When things go wrong and they are both in danger, suddenly she sees him in a completely different light. I fell in love with Neve and Enya’s and their thoughts and way with each other had me laughing, they are truly delightful.

I am anxiously awaiting the next book. A great read to get lost in to unwind.

Evergreen by Mya O’Malley has surprised me with this absolutely beautiful story. The way Mya told this love story is so wonderfully done. I was magically transported straight in to this world and walked each and every step with these wonderful characters. There are a multitude of emotions that tugged on my heart strings from laughing out loud at their easy banter to sadness and at other times I was mad as heck and looking for blood. But let’s not forget the star of the show Maxine, she just melted my heart altogether. I need me one.

June had always led a different life to the one her parents envisioned but she was happy and left with a few scars. That is until two unique beings came into her life and changed it forever.

Graham comes across a rare treasure and tries to find help, what he finds is two angels that he never knew he was looking for. Now all he has to do is break through the barriers that she has built around herself and her heart.

Leiel and Cleod she’s a young woman who lost her mom when she was sacrificed to the Draigon to relieve the drought. Cleod has vowed he will avenge her mother and keep her safe.
