Degrees of Acceptance is book two in the Prestian series by Via Mari. It is memorable continuation of a story that wins more of my heart, at each word written. The words dance intricately together to weave a masterful and slightly suspenseful tale that is both addictive and sensual. Katarina is more sure of herself and her feelings for Chase, but I cannot help but feel that she is waiting for the other shoe to drop, therefore keeping a little of herself in reserve. Chase is a little obsessed with her and her safety, and unusually it is a quality that I find endearing.
Via Mari is an author I have thoroughly enjoyed and am excited to read more of this series. The characters and storyline are quite attractive and prove to be sinfully entertaining. 5 stars.

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is the second book in the My Life Series by Necie Navone. This series should be read in order, this book starts where the first book left off. This series is intense and full of action. It follows Alessandra as she grows up a Princess in the Canzano crime family. Aless has learned to protect herself and her family from a very young age. When the time arrives and she uses her skills to save her family, it take a big emotional toll on her along with physically one as well. This book had me hooked from the very first page, and I couldn’t put it down till I read the last. Necie Navone has done such a wonderful job giving background on the plot and extensive character descriptions, that I felt I was right there in the story as I was reading. I look forward to the next book in this series to find out what happens in Aless life and how this series is related to the Brothers of Camelot series. I highly recommend this series.
Hard as Steel by Virginia Wine is the fourth book in her Surviving Series and what a great read this turned out to be. Following the story of Steel Archer, who is a strong independent man who will do anything for the people the he loves. While this story is a dark and twisted, it does have some elements of romance and suspense. Getting hooked from the first page I couldn’t put this book down until I knew how it was going to end. Seeing a man like Steel fall for Nicole Lancaster, who is an FBI agent used to the boys’ club of Steel’s world, was such a treat. These two together were such fire that it all but gave me a stroke the chemistry between them. Both of them were so independent and determined to best the other that when they gave in to their feelings it made the story just explode. Getting to see the softer side of Steel made him feel so much more human that I fell for him on the spot. Can these two make a real go of it or will the worlds that they live in pull them apart? Can Steel keep the woman that brings out the best of him? Can Nicole trust that Steel will be there when she needs him most? Hard as Steel is the first book by Virginia Wine that I have read, and I have now bought all of the books in this series to do a binge reading session. I love that each book can be read on its own and that they all tie together in the end. If you are looking for a great story that will heat you up and keep you intrigued from beginning to end, this is the book and series for you. I can’t wait to see what Wine brings to her readers next.

A true thriller! “Who” is the first book in the Stalker Series written by Megan Mitcham and it is 100% brilliant. There is so much suspense in this book it’s unbelievable! Not to mention Larkin! She is a no nonsense, take no names alpha! This is the first book I have read where the CEO billionaire is a woman. This book is written very smartly and very boldly. Larkin doesn’t have time for men in the romantic sense. She believes that love is just a fairy tale. So what does she do? Well…she uses them. That is until she has this stranger that tries to “save” her from jumping off the roof. Then she starts to get messages, strange ones at that. Her 3 bff’s try and warn her but things end up out of her control. So who is this mystery man? You have to read to find out! This story has you continuously on the edge of your seat with it’s constant mind games! Definite page turner because all you want to do is find out who this guy is and it’s driving you mad because of the twists and turns that the writer plays with. Now there are some hot and heavy sexy scenes. The writer knows her stuff! I’m usually jaded by those scenes but these were definitely spicy! All in all, I’m thoroughly impressed with the author and this book. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series! Well done Ms. Mitcham!

This is the third book in the Darling Cove series and it is just as good as the first two. You do not have to read these books in order but i highly recommend reading all of them because they’re all very good! Skye is the FMC and is has has a rough go at things lately and just hasn’t had the best of luck. She has a horrible ex and is big factor in that so called bad luck. I really really really wanted to punch him in the face. But then there is Edward. He is swoonworthy! So he more than makes up for the ex! Skye and Edward have chemistry galore and i found myself rooting for their HEA very quickly! I am looking forward to reading more by this author and i would recommend this one to a friend! Hard as Steel Surviving Series Book 4 By Virginia Wine Four Stars Holy smokes Batman. This story was intense. Steel is a hard man but an honest and trustworthy person. He has a gift for helping others and it shows with this story. I’m sure I’m not the only one who makes the characters into couples as the story goes on. For me Steel and Grace seemed like a better fit. But too each their own. I really enjoyed this story though. The author held you in suspense with every chapter. This predator out to get Grace, murder, love and trust. Grace has had to relearn to function and she is so courageous. Nick is super sweet and I understand her appeal. It was a quick read that was thrilling and mysterious. I got a good feel for the characters. I could easily follow what the author was going for in this book. Dani is a baker who has an issue with talking to guys who age. She starts to mumble and run away. She also delivers cupcakes and pies early in the morning to Wes’ restaurant. She dreams of owning her own bakery.
Patrick is the brother of her best friend from high school and the two meet again years later at the restaurant. Patrick realizes the cupcakes he has been eating for years are made by Dani.
To overcome her fear and anxiety, Patrick offers to help her by just being her friend and helping her get comfortable with just conversation. Over time he find himself falling for her and worries that he isn’t good enough for her.
Dani feels an attraction to Patrick but doesn’t want to mess up the friendship they have and keeps telling herself they are just friends
Another installment of an amazing series that I can’t get enough of.
I really liked Dani and related to her cause I just became that way myself. Not because of any bad experience just started to isolate myself and developed anxiety talking to people over time. So I understood her anxiety when it came to talking to guys. I loved the decision where she made the decision to change herself because she wanted to normal and be able to talk in a social setting.
Patrick I liked and felt he could admit when he was wrong and apologize to make things right.
I really hope we get book with Sabrina. I would love to see who she falls in with and how she interacts with them.

Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in her series, Darling Cove, and honestly, I think this is the best one yet. This story had me hooked from the beginning, much like the rest of the series, but I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Getting drawn in from the first page, I didn’t want to put this one down until I finished. Following the stories of Skye Mallory and Edward Mendelsohn, I loved the chemistry between these two. Skye is a working woman who isn’t worried about finding someone for herself. But when her siblings tell her they found the perfect man for her, her doubts are obviously high, until she sets her eyes on Edward. While there is something about Edward that draws her to him, there is also a secret she is keeping from her loved ones that could ruin this relationship. What is this secret, and could it really be the end of everything for Skye if she were to tell those closest to her? Edward is the fire chief in town and is immediately drawn to Skye when he sets his eyes on her. While he wanted to ask her out before, getting set up on a date with her by siblings just made his job that much easier. When tragedy strikes Skye and her business and apartment go up in flames, Edward comes to the rescue, and Skye can’t seem to stay away from him. When situations arise that threaten to tear these two love birds apart it is going to take allot of trust and love to get them through this together. Can Skye trust Edward to keep her secret, or even trust him with her heart? Can Edward step up and be the man that Skye needs most in her world? The attraction and chemistry between these two will steam over your glasses and cause your e-reader to short circuit, but it is totally worth it in the end. Having read several of Garland’s books in the past, including the first two stories in this series, and I have to say this is by far my favorite of them all. If you are looking for a great read that will take you away from the cold winter weather than I suggest you pick up this series and tuck away for some much need hot reading that is guaranteed to keep you warm all through the night.

Tomb for an Eagle by Lexie Conyngham is book 1 of the Orkneyinga Murders series. I really enjoyed this book from page 1, I couldnt put it down. This is a historical novel, and while I dont generally read this type of book I loved this book and cant wait to read the next book in this series. I like the writing and the story line in this book. This is the first book, I have read by this author and I will definitely continue to read books. I give this book 5 stars.

Must Be Crazy: Darling Cove Series Book 3 written by Deborah Garland. This is a nice series each book is about a different person yet they all relate to the previous characters. This story is Skye’s story, if you have read the previous books then you will recognize her. If you have not read the previous stories you can still read this as a standalone. Skye had been through a lot, now she’s trying to help her father as much as possible with the assistant of her family. Atleast until her ex comes back into her life, but she needs something from him like he needs something from her. The story is full of surprises and ups and downs just like the others in the story.

Climbing The Walls was a page turning 5 star read and the first book in the Hart & Cole series. Once I started I didn’t want to stop.
We get alternating POV between Kris and Nicole who have been married for about eight years. Nicole is a workaholic that doesn’t have much of a relationship with her children. Kris loves Nicole despite how certain people feel about her in his life. They make it work and have two beautiful children. I love their kids they pulled me right in and tugged at my heart strings.
When Nicole’s boss starts having marital problems, things start to shift for Nicole and Kris as well. Are they as happy as they portray to their friends and family? There is so much more to this emotional rollercoaster of a read. There is so much going on that it causes questions to come up and not so great assumptions at times. There was a huge unexpected and disappointing twist. I didn’t see it coming and it left me shattered. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, some I liked some I didn’t.
Sacha T. Y. Fortuné does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. There isn’t a cliffhanger but I didn’t feel like it ended in a good place for me. I’m hoping to see more from these two and get some answers. I can’t wait to start book two in the series.

But when she starts receiving threats, things slowly spin out of control. Then there’s the mysterious sexy man she can’t stop thinking about. He makes her have feelings she has never had before — feelings she doesn’t want. Having a man in her life will just ruin things. Right?
This is a very good romantic suspense. Larkin is a woman that thinks she has everything under control and can handle it all by herself. To be honest, I found her a little annoying in the beginning. But as you go on, you see this is all just a wall she’s created. She really does have a heart and you see more of it the more you read. Her friends are great too and I cannot wait to read more of them in books to come. The story itself is very interesting and there is so much going on. You will be entrapped from the very beginning until the last page. There are many twists and turns, although I do admit I saw some of them coming. But there were more that came out of nowhere.
I wonderful romantic suspense and the beginning of a new series, I highly recommend this book.

Savannah’s Saviors is the fifth book in Bella Settarra’s Cowboys of Cavern County series and it a contemporary romance with a touch of Western in it; it also has a little twist of ménage a trois blended into it! I love discovering new writers and Bella Settarra has found a place on my list! I know you can read this story as a standalone but you meet other characters and you get curious and I know for sure that I have to go and pick up the other books in the series as well! Savannah’s Saviors is a heartbreaking story of violence, abuse, lies and secrets. It is a story of new beginnings and misunderstandings that seems to create obstacles that one thinks cannot be climbed … it is a story of laughter and love … We have Savannah who has been kicked out by her husband into a stormy night with nothing to her but the clothes on her back … we have Tom and Greg (our cowboys that bring that ‘bit of Western” who find her in the dark and take her back to where they are staying … you can imagine the questions that arise … Those three do take us on a ride not to be forgotten!

Can’t forget is the second read in the Solum Series from author Colleen S. Myers. Once again this book has held me totally captivated from the start, right until the very end! For the full benefit of this incredible series I recommend that it’s read in order, as you wouldn’t want to miss a thing with this series. I didn’t think Colleen S. Myers would get any better with this series, but my oh my – has she proved me wrong!
This author has once again transported us back into this created an incredibly vivid, mentally visual read. I couldn’t help but picture the whole planet in my mind while reading it, the look and descriptions of each individual character that Beta comes into contact with. All of it makes for an incredible sci-fi, alien romance novel filled with action, adventure, mystery, suspense, romance and most important an incredible plot.
This time we see Elizabeth ‘Beta’, trying to work out what could ultimately help the Fost bring down their enemies the E’Mani. Along the way she continues to grow as a person and her journey continues at a fast pace. I absolutely love her and Marin together, they bring an incredible dynamic to this read that I absolutely love to read about, but there is something between them that plays a big part in some of Beta & Marin’s actions. Along with Marin, Finn is back in this read and he brings another side of Beta to the forefront, one that also shows strength and determination. But too me my OTP has got be Marin & Beta. But just as we think maybe there could be a possibility of a way to overcome the evil that has disrupted Beta’s life things are about to be thrown off!
Once again we were given twists and turns that make it even harder to put this read down, we cannot forget the magic that is weaved through the story and the history of it. I loved that we are still learning all new things along with Beta, whether it’s the history of the planet she is on, the Fost, the E’Mani or even her own Power it made everything seem more real, and as though we were there living out the story ourselves.
Overall this was an incredible read that I loved that I got the chance to read, and cannot wait to delve into this world again in Book 3- to see what continues with Beta’s story – and whether they can finally overcome this evil! With plenty more story to be told I cannot wait to thrown back into this world!

Sailors Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 4) by Phoebe Alexander. These books are so fun and this one is by far my favorite! I love the character of Casey and this book goes deep into her past and explains why she is the way she is and why her relationships are they way they are. Casey is the founder of The Factory, a local Swingers Club and she is battling Breast Cancer. Leah & Paisley her dear friends and managers of the club arrive with their own drama. Leah is newly married and struggling and Paisley is unsure of her husbands new friend and where she stands in the whole situation. Casey tells them the story of her past with Gabriel and Joshua. She was madly in love with them both and the love triangle almost killed her. Casey really opens up in this book and her story is so emotional. Sure the book has sex in it but it has lots of emotion as well. Loved this book

What can I say but I absolutely have fallen for this series. The author has such a unique way of bringing the characters to life and I felt as though I was actually in the story. The refreshing way that you are drawn into the book and just feel as though you are escaping into the world that the author has developed. I just couldn’t put this book down.
I really felt drawn to Wren from the very start. The drama that unfolds around her brings you to the edge of your seat with anticipation. I liked how the author was able to not only throw in drama and intrigue but also weaved in just the touch of romance to boot. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Wren, Sable and Hale. Into the mix you have the chemistry between Wren and Lucas. The whole dynamic just adds to the intrigue in the book. I really cannot wait for the next book in this series. To get to delve more into the lives of the Confectioners and their world alongside the other guilds and see where the magic leads.

I love it when I find a new series. This is the prequel to the series and it really put a lot of things in perspective. I really enjoyed the author’s unique writing style. The story just jumps off of the pages. I felt as though I was really going through the things that the characters were going through.
This book really sets up the series. I really enjoyed Hale’s character. This book brings Hale’s life before he joined the Confectioner’s guild. I really liked how the author brought his character to life and showed how he matured over the course of the book. I really enjoy this author’s work and will definitely be reading more from her and this series.

Katarina and Chase have unbelievable chemistry and regardless of Katarina’s fears they go on a wild journey of sex and emotions. Katarina finds out who her father is and regardless of the trouble or chaos of meeting him might cause she wants to know him. As the relationship with her father progresses Chase will do anything to protect Katarina and keep Global problems from ruining everything they’ve built. Jesse is the third book in the Glass City Hearts series. It can be read as a standalone. This book does reference events that happened to the other characters, and now I want to go back and read the previous books because they sound like great stories, lol.
I had no idea what to expect from this book when I chose to read it, but it proved to be an entertaining read. It has a great mix of humor, sarcasm, mystery, danger, romance, and family drama. The characters were easy to connect to and the story hooks you in right away.
Also note that there are a couple of places in the story that get you in the feels, so have some tissues nearby.

Hard as Steel by Virginia Wine is the fourth book in the Surviving Series and follows the story of the elite PI Securities.
Nicole Lancaster is an FBI agent who is in the boys club, always dedicated to her job wanting to progress further within the FBI. Until a case comes across her desk which has her being more invested than usual, this women is broken and can she help her with out putting her career in jeopardy.
Steel Archer is ex military, hard as nails and working for a PI Securities but with his past is full of skeletons and devastation that haunts him constantly, but when a young women enters his world looking for help, Nicole’s and Steel’s collide. Will both their lives change to help a young broken woman?
This is the first book I have read by this author and I feel that although I loved the story, their was bits missing in the backstory of the other books. I would recommend reading the series in order and then I feel you have a better understanding of the story, but this did not distract from the story of Nicole and Steel.
The writing was fasted paced and with the twists and turns of the story has you reading on, I loved the different prospective of the characters and the relationships that grow as the story goes on. I would love to go back and read the rest of the series to see how this series grows.

Forgetting Ophelia: A Novel (Friendship & Secrets #2) by Julie C. Gardner was a okay, emotional rollercoaster of a read, that had a sweet yet opened ended ending, that was, for me, satisfying.
My first read by this author, and for this series, though this is a series the books can be read as standalones. For my first time with this author I was impressed with the excellent writing and the nicely timed flashback scenes. It gave you a feel for how Jake and Lia grew and how you can see where things start to, not so much go wrong, but when they started wrong.
I will say that this story though started out with a bang, it did have this slow feeling to it, and frankly at times there was some flatness in those slow times, making it feel like some scenes dragged on. I will say, almost all the problems that arose in this story could have been solved with a simple conversation. But I guess when you were raised the way Lia was, you can understand why she can’t seem to find the right words, or that running is better than figuring things out.
As much as I wanted to hate Jake, he was more of a idiot and a moron, then malicious. Running wasn’t the answer, choosing for Lia wasn’t the answer, but at the same time, Lia just let things happen, never making a decision, and letting others take over her choices. So I can see where Jake was coming from.
There is so much I can say about this book, from it’s multi layer characters, or to it’s impressing message that communication is key, to learning that it isn’t too late to improve yourself, or too late to rise up from the ashes and start a new. This book is a true journey on how to get through those exploding times, when it feels like the universe is out to get you. So please take my super high recommendation that you will get sucked into this life journey, of how Lia picked herself up, and forced her own path, towards her own life.
Say When is the ninth (yes, ninth!) instalment of the truly wonderful Cedarville series. One again, we are transported to the beautiful lakeside setting which has become so familiar to fans of this series. This instalment does not disappoint, as were introduced to a new couple that immediately grabbed my heart. This is one read not to be missed!
I have to start this review by admitting that I am a superfan of this series. I absolutely love the world that the author has created and it holds a very dear place in my heart. So as soon as a new book is released, I am immediately anticipating finding the time to sit and really enjoy it. Cue a nice cup of team, some chocolate cookies and a cosy blanket; time to read!
Say When had me hooked after the very first page. Immediately jumping into the wonderful world of baking had my mouth-watering; luckily I had the cookies! Dani is such an endearing character and I felt myself warming to her straight away. I love her innocence, which I think makes her such a strong character and so interesting to read. She has a lot of fears and learning about these over the course of the story allowed us to see why her and Patrick have such an intense connection. As for Patrick… what a cutie! He is such an equally interesting character who I couldn’t wait to find out more about. We learn about him more slowly than Dani, with the main focus of the story being her getting over her fears, but that just makes him so much more intriguing; who doesn’t love a mysterious man?! Seeing them together is so much fun and, let’s be honest, super hot. There are some steamy moments in this book, which are sure to get you feeling a little hot. All I’ll say is, lucky Dani!
I don’t think I will ever stop loving this series or this author’s work. Every single book in this series is beautifully written, packed with wonderful characters and has an intriguing and exciting plot. Ultimately, this series is about love and the connection that develops between two people, and Say When perfectly portrays this. If you haven’t already, I cannot encourage you enough to start reading this series. By the time you get to Dani and Patrick’s story, you’ll be as hooked as I am!
Who: A Stalker Series Novel by Megan Mitcham was an interesting story. I had quite the time getting into the story but pressed on because I knew it had great potential. There were parts that were confusing and I had to reread simply based on my own questions. There was… a lot of intimate scenes. Many of which I found unnecessary and did not do anything for the storyline. The story has a lot of twists which keep your attention after you pass the confusion. Larkin is a self-made business woman who does rather well for herself, although she is having to face a crazy amount of issues due to someone leaking information. Though she’s tough she has a hard time sticking up for herself when it actually matters. This was my first story by this author and I would give another of her stories a try but maybe not this series. I personally did not connect with the characters like I normally do in books. But I have to say I did pretty good at figuring out WHO it was!

Who: A Stalker Series Novel By Megan Mitcham. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. It took me a little bit to completely sink into the story but once I did I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. I would definitely put this in one of my top favorite reads of the year. Larkin is a character who’s so driven and won’t let anything or anyone get in her way, I love a strong female character and the author more than delivers on that front. In fact every character in this story brings something different to the story, they all have their place. Readers are taken on a journey filled with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s well written and paced nicely. Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone.

Elegantly Denim: An Elegant Prelude is the prequel to the Elegant series by Tee Smith. This is a novella, which makes it a very quick and easy read. This is my first read by Ms. Smith, and even though there wasn’t a ‘lot’ happening in this story due to it being a novella, it does lay the foundations for the rest of the series and has intrigued me enough to want to read the next instalment/s. Denim Gargliano is a bit of an enigma, but as the story unfolds, we get a glimpse of the man behind the rumours and reputation. What I saw, I really liked. He has been thrust into the world his father built and Denim is making his way through it as best he can, on his terms. The illegal operations hiding behind legitimate businesses. We are drawn into Denim’s world and experience it alongside him. The ending was particularly interesting as it sets up the next book, and I can’t wait to get my hand on it.

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 2) By Necie Navone 5 Stars
My Tragic Life is the 2nd book in the My Life Series for Necie Navone. If you have not picked up anything by this author yet, you are missing out. Necie Navone’s writing is wonderful. Her depiction of the characters very realistic. With this book, Ms. Navone carries on with the tale of Alessandra and how she is fairing with the fact that she will be the boss of a crime family when her father passes away. The attention to detail and interaction with the other characters only enhance the richness of this book. The flow and emotions brought out by the writer in this book make it enjoyable to read and addicting. I did not want to put the book down! I cannot wait to catch up with this family in the next book!

Climbing the Walls is the first book in the Hart and Cole Series by Sacha T.Y Fortune. This story also appears to be Ms. Fortunes debut novel and I look forward to following her work. This book is a realistic and relatable woman’s fiction story that looks at what it takes to make a marriage work, all the highs and lows that come with that; while balancing the responsibility, expectation, and pressures of motherhood. The story has intense moments, dramatic details, touching scenes, believable dialogue, and interesting characters who draw you into their story, giving a front row seat to the ‘show’ that is their rollercoaster relationship. It was intriguing, emotive and well written. Bring on Book #2!

Calling the Curveball: a Lawson Family Novel 3.5 stars
This is the first book in a new series and there are a lot of characters introduced in this book. This story has dysfunction and regrets and angst. It also has light moments – a dog who heckles an umpire, sweet romance and great friendships.
Purely personal opinion – I did not care for the male protagonist. I’m bummed too, because it caused me to feel differently about the entire book than I normally would. Honestly, I will absolutely stick with this series because I am interested in his brothers and their stories.
The story is well plotted and the characters are easily identifiable. There are absolutely redeeming threads in this story and while this particular story wasn’t for me, I WILL read more from this author.

Savannah’s Saviors by Bella Settarra is the fifth book in the series The Cowboys of Cavern County. Now saying it is the fifth book, this can be a stand-alone book. Bella Settarra’s vivid descriptive writing style allowed me to think I am in the story with Savannah. It is like I was there looking over Bella’s shoulder. She writes about a difficult situation and you can feel that in her writing. This is a contemporary western romance book, but at the beginning it was about Bella and what has happened to her. Bella meets Tom and Greg on a really bad night. She is having issues of trust and abusive relationship and she does not want that out in the open just yet. Will Bella be able to trust Tom and Greg? Will Tom and Greg trust Bella? You can find the answers in the story.
