Special Agent Charli by Mimi Barbour is the sixth installment of the Undercover FBI series. This story is a suspenseful, romance thriller which can be read as a standalone. With the scene in the first chapter, I was completely hooked into the storyline and couldn’t stop reading to find out what would happen. This is the story of Charli Madison and Blake Sebastian. Charli is an undercover FBI agent that is getting ready to leave on vacation when she ends up involved in a protection detail of a young girl that witnesses a crime. In comes Blake, also a law enforcement officer that will assist her during the protection order. Blake reeks of Alpha male all over, he is a ladies man and seems to be getting Charli’s attention but not in a good way. They need to set aside the tension between them to make sure the killer does not succeed in getting to the protected witness. While protecting the young witness, will Blake be able to get into Charli’s heart? Will they both succeed in catching the killer on the loose? This story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Both main characters had so much tension and chemistry that is was bouncing of the walls. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading the other books from this series.
This was an absolutely amazing read! I am quite new to this type of genre and I wasn’t sure if I would like it but oh my gosh I did! I loved every second that I read. I was hooked from the very first page until the end. The author took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. The story was full of love, loss, action, drama, heartache and so much more. The story was so well written, the pace and flow were excellent and the glossary at the beginning was a great addition to the story – it meant I wasn’t guessing the meanings of some of the words. I really liked Casstiel and the journey he went on to find his true love after she was murdered. There were some really good twists in the story too which made it even more exciting to read and I liked that I didn’t see them coming! Ashara was a good character too and I did feel for her a little. I enjoyed reading about the journey that Casstiel and Ashara went on together. I thought this story really was a great read; the author descriptive language almost brought the story to life! I absolutely recommend this story – it was a brilliant 5 star read!
Georgia Pine is Book 3 in the Southern Promises Series from author KG Fletcher. This is my third read from this author and will most definitely not be my last.
This author writing style was captivating, easy flowing and easy to read. The characters that K.G. Fletcher has created are wonderful they are real, relatable and very lovable.
Even though these books are part of a series, they can be read as standalone as in each book we follow new main characters on their journey through this book, but just to get a feel at how incredible these series is I’d recommend that you read in order. But with each book in this series, each one seems to be getting better and better.
In this read, we follow the journey and story of Jessica & Tim After meeting Jessica in Book 2 I’m so glad that I get to experience her story and her chemistry and connection with Tim grow. This book takes you on a rollercoaster of emotion and has me feeling all the feels. They are relatable, real characters that I loved reading about. Their chemistry was undeniable and was inspirational and brilliant from the get-go.
We cannot forget to mention the secondary characters that come into this read. They just help make this read even better, and they help bring out our main characters and just make this read better as a whole.
I cannot wait to see what else this author could bring for the series. This is an incredibly captivating and compelling read that should not be missed, I highly recommend it!

Georgia Pine is the third book in KG Fletcher’s Southern Promises and by far my favorite! Having loved the first two books in this stand alone series so much, I went into Georgia Pine blind on the faith that regardless of what the book was about, I was sure to love it. I couldn’t have been more excited when I found out that this book was about Jessica and her family and I really couldn’t be more pleased with how the story played out. Georgia Pine has everything I could hope for in a story, so heartwarming I felt like my heart was swelling at times, then the tears, there were definitely tears. As if the emotion in these pages weren’t enough, we can’t forget to take into consideration the passion between Jessica and Tim. The more I type, the more I wonder if 5 stars is even enough? The characters, as I’ve come to expect with KG Fletcher’s writing, were strong and memorable. I mean in just the second book Jessica and her beautiful blond girls made a lasting impression! I loved how characters still tied into this story too even if the book didn’t seem as intertwined as the first two books. I could sit here gushing over Georgia Pine forever so I’ll wrap it up, but I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves a good, heartfelt romance.

I can’t tell you enough on how obsessed I am with this series. I have literally consumed books 1-3 at an alarming rate and I have loved every minute of it. I have learned that A.M. Myer’s will exceed my expectations with each book. She has a beautiful way to weaving a beautiful story with twists and turns that will have you at the edge of your seat.
Tatum was an amazing character to read. She’s strong and a fighter and the perfect match for Lincoln (Kodiak). She always has a way of persevering through any situation until she lost someone close to her. Kodiak had to grow up fast to take care of his family and he keeps a lot of things to himself which makes him hard to read and quite the bad boy. I promise you’ll fall for him fast!
I love how the characters in this series have their flaws but find their perfect match with someone who also has their flaws. I love how they are perfectly imperfect which makes it all more realistic. This series / book needs to be one everyone’s must read list!

This is the third book in this series and it keeps getting better and better. I loved how the characters are relateable and connectable. The chemistry between Jessica and Tim is off the charts. Problem is that Tim has a past and he is not so willing to open up to Jessica. Will Jessica wait for him to open up to her or is it too late? This story took me on an emotional roller coaster ride of various emotions that kept me going back for more. I highly recommend this book.

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell is a truly emotional, heartfelt and poignant romance! It’s by far my favourite by this author and if I could I would certainly rate it more than a 5-star. It was a phenomenal story that captivated me from the start. I got so swept up in the storyline that I ended up reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. Gage and Lauren’s relationship is complex and full of so many secrets, yet their chemistry remains just as strong as ever.
Just Exes is truly a never a dull moment read, there was always something going on which kept me on my toes and fully engaged. I was filled with so many emotions while reading their story, emotions that had me in tears, emotions that had my heart breaking and emotions that had me feeling hopeful for the two of them. Their story is one I won’t soon forget.
I would absolutely recommend this book to others, it’s a romance read that should not be missed! I’m already looking forward to diving in to my next Charity Ferrell novel!

Just when I think it is impossible for KG Fletcher to cause me to love her writing any more than I already do… I simply adored this book. This third installment in the Southern Promises series was beautifully written. It has tons of Southern charm and a natural rhythm that keeps the reader entranced. I became emotionally invested on the first page. The detail provided allows for this book to be easily read and enjoyed on its own. The main characters are likeable, relatable, and have tons of chemistry. This is, hands down, a book and series I was gladly pick up and read over and over. Simply wonderful!
Georgia Pine is book 3 in the Southern Promises series and is by far my favorite! This story is about second chances and about never giving up. I love that while this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. Each story is about a different couple. Georgia Pine is about Tim and Jessica. Their first encounter is so funny to the mom in me. Who doesn’t need a self-imposed time out?! Having four children under 7 myself, this mom’s situation stuck a chord with me. Luckily my gardener was my husband! Sorry, I digress.
K.G. Fletcher has a writing style that keeps me entertained. While some parts of the story were clearly fictional, where a reader could escape, like surviving a divorce with enough money to not have to work or worry! Other parts hit home, making a reader able to relate to the characters, hiding away from an embarrassing situation. What a character Tim is! Big, strong, yummy, determined, dedicated Tim. And Jessica, sweet, caring, beautiful, funny…I may have a slight girl crush!
I enjoyed the ride these two take trying to get to their happily even after. Definitely recommend this book.
That Voodoo That You Do is the first three books in one collection for you to enjoy in one sitting of Jolie St. Amant’s Chateau Rouge novellas. I personally have loved every single one of them. Each are short but jammed packed stories promising to satisfy your hunger for that bedtime story or afternoon escape, much like it did for myself.
Dream A Little Dream of Me is the first novella in the set. It features Josey Jacobson who owns the Chateau Rouge, and this is how we are introduced to the gorgeous background for most of the upcoming stories to come, as well as the vibrant streets of New Orleans. We also get to know the handsome Archer, and well it’s a short story so you will just have to see what happens for yourself…
The second to come is, Hard Hearted Hannah. Another vibrant and detailed short gives us the story of Hannah and Julien. Both come alive off the screen of your kindle and promise to intrigue you with their story. I personally found theirs to be my favorite story of the three in the collection. They just seemed to keep me on the edge of my seat the most.
Last, but most certainly not least, is A Kiss to Build a Dream On. It is an explosive way to complete the set. At only 83 pages, again it is short but wow is it one heck of a story. In this one we meet Chloe. There is more of the mystery and intrigue throughout to keep you well engaged, and enough paranormal to have you questioning the bumps in the night after you finish the last pages. I personally can’t wait to see what will come next for Chateau Rouge and from Jolie St. Amant!

I’ve just loved this series and this one took the cake for for me,definitely my favorite from the series. I recommend reading the first two books in this series of you haven’t already. I’m sure you will fall in love with this series as much as I did. Tim oh my Tim I’m pretty sure I fell in love with him.He’s every girls dream even though he has a past he’s still a caring person. Jessica my heart hurt for her at first but then it swelled with happiness. There are some twists in this story that will have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what happens next. Jessica and her girls are so sweet.Can these two save one another ? I could go on and on but I won’t. I highly recommend reading this Book as well as the whole series. So this is my third read by this author, I’ve read the first two in this series and loved them, they were fantastic, but let me just say that this one……. Oh.Em.Gee!! Holy Emotions, and WOW!!!
After reading the first two it only took me a couple pages to remember and know who this book was about. I loved every single word and the storyline was out of this world fantastic.
What can I say about Tim, well I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he is now firmly and forever in my all time top 5 book boyfriends. He stole my heart in the first couple pages and he never let go.

I kept looking at my reading speed while I went along and kept saying to myself..slow down you don’t want this to end and that was right from the start because you can just tell when a book is going to affect you that way. Then it happened…at about 75% in…my heart took a beating for the last 25% of this book, now don’t get me wrong it was awesome all the way to that point, the buildup was written perfectly..but then the ugly, breath catching, nose blowing eyes swelling crying began. The emotions this author brought out through this whole book, yea I felt them all.
I already want to read it again, heck I want to read them all again, they were all that good but Georgia Pine is no doubt my absolute favorite of the 3.
Not sure how she could ever top this but no doubt I will be first in line for anything this author writes.
Seriously people…Read this book, I’m not even kidding…Correction…Read them all!! You won’t be sorry!

Eye of the Storm is the second book on the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. The action started in the first sentence and didn’t let up until the very end, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Chris is amazing and I’m not just saying that because he shares a name with my husband. Even injured he did what he needed to do to take care of Mari and the situation they found themselves in.
Mari is the epitome of strength and bravery. She seriously had a set and I loved her for it.
When I started this series I wasn’t sure how much I would like it. You read one military special ops books you’ve read them all right? Not in this series. Can’t quite put my finger on what make it different in my mind. I just know I will be following this series until the end.

Just Exes is a second chances story by Charity Ferrell. It is not really part of any series but still, the heroine is the little sister of Hudson and Dallas who we met in Just Her Bodyguard and Just One Night where we also got the first glimpses of her. So go ahead and read it as a standalone and I am sure if you have read Hudson and Dallas’ books then you know what the writer might have in store for us! Just Exes is the story of Lauren Barnes (aka Satan as she is called by one of Gage’s friends) and Gage Perry. These two were each other loves in high school and for some reason Lauren broke up with him, for no reason!!! I really did not like that we had to wait sooo long into the story to find out what the reason was and …. Hmm… was it really worth 10 years of separation?! Well, maybe, we humans are very bad at dealing with our issues so who the heck knows… There is a lot of pain in this story, pain that goes back for years … it also gives us a rollercoaster story that leaves you at the edge of your seat until you come to the last page … and it is not just Lauren and Gage that make the story but also all those crazy and entertaining support characters aka friends! I hope the writer will give us more stories where we can meet up with them or maybe some of them get their own story! What else does one need than more secrets and deception and love, first chances or second …

Just Exes By Charity Ferrell ☆☆☆☆☆ This is what happens when you mix friendship with romance. This book is all about second chances.
Lauren works as a nurse at the local hospital. She is trying to get on her feet and better herself. Her apartment is burned down and she has been blamed. Her landlord wants her charged for the fire. Because she was wanting out of the lease. Problem with this is she was not even home the time of the fire. She also is struggling with dating, as it is not for her. She had her chance and she let him go.
Gage transfers to the police department, in his hometown. So he can be near his father. When called out to arrest someone for starting the fire, he discovers it Lauren. The woman that broke his heart all those years ago. He still is angry at her, but he also still loves her.
Charity Ferrell has written a fun and funny story of second chances. I love the characters in her story. This story caught my interest of page one and I could not put it down. It has so many feels, love, hate, romance, suspense and tears. Just the right amount of angst to keep you reading. Way to go Charity Ferrell
Via Mari’s first book in the Prestian series is Degrees of Innocence. Being the first novel read by the author, I always look for something solid that sets up that story to be great, whether it’s the characters, the story line or the detail that is written in. In Degrees of Innocence, Via Mari captures all of that and more. This book is tastefully written to include the intriguing suspense that tugs and pulls throughout. The erotic undertones are ever present, but tame where needed and emotionally burning right where it should. The author has exceeded in sharing a story/series that is cleanly written with amazing characters, a challenging story line.

After reading Georgia Clay I did not know what to expect for Georgia On My Mind. I loved it so much that this book had a lot to live up to. However, I think I actually love this more! Tstory was so captivating. It was a quick read but it was packed full of emotions.

The pain that Gia and Hart were feeling, I felt it too because the writing was so real. I did predict the ending of this story but it did not make me love this any less. Bring on the next book!

I have really enjoyed this series and exploring New Orleans and the stories through the eyes of the characters and Ms. St. Amant’s exquisite writing. Her attention to detail, rich descriptions, and original storylines bring everything to life and kept me engrossed the whole way through. Dream a Little Dream of Me is the first book in the Chateau Rouge Series by Jolie St. Amant. It is an incredibly clever, unique and engaging paranormal romance that captivated me from the very first page. Ms. St. Amant’s vivid imagery and descriptive details painted a picture of New Orleans that brought all the sights and sounds of this colourful city to life right before my eyes. The story had a mysteriousness about it, it captured my attention and enticed me further into the book. I couldn’t put it down till I had finished every word. Josey Jacobson owns Chateau Rouge, a hotel steeped in history on a busy street in New Orleans. The story is set in the lead up to Halloween which ads an extra air of excitement to the story. Josie and the Chateau are not what they appear. There is so much more to Josie and her lovely old hotel and as the story unfolds there are quite a few surprises to be found. Archer is in the city for a music festival and is a guest at the Chateau. He is the sexy and charismatic lead singer of a well-known band, who finds himself drawn to the Chateau and its beautiful owner, Josie. There is also more to his attraction than first comes to light and discovering all the details was such a fantastic ride. The story is a short, quick and easy read. It is told form several POV’S, which allows the reader to get a much bigger picture of what’s happening, as well as extra elements to the intriguing backstory.
Hard Hearted Hannah is the second book in the Chateau Rouge series by Jolie St. Amant. It is a wonderful paranormal romance set once more against the backdrop of a city steeped in rich history that is New Orleans. Ms. St. Amant is a talented writer whose attention to detail and vivid descriptions transported me into the story to see all the sights and sounds as the story unfolded. Hannah Montgomery works for the Charleston Lifestyle Magazine, but she’s also the boss’s daughter. She has a reputation for being a heartless Ice Queen- but she hadn’t always been so hard hearted. Having your heart broken can do that to a girl. After enduring the pain of heartbreak Hannah vows to never let it happen again, and so she builds a hard, cold barrier around her heart. With plans to attend the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans to hear her favourite band perform, Hannah is not impressed when her father insists on the magazines photographer accompanying her on the trip. She is concerned because he’s the only one who has made her heart flutter for a very long time. Julien isn’t any more impressed with their situation than Hannah is. She is so a snippy, dismissive and cold. Julien could remember a time when she was happy, kind and caring. Those days are long gone. It’s going to be a torturous trip And so, their mysterious weekend begins. What happens in New Orleans? With supernatural forces drawing them together, will these two find a connection? It’s a sweet and captivating read. The paranormal elements are really well done- subtle, but memorable.
A Kiss to Build a Dream On is the third book in the Chateau Rouge series by Jolie St. Amant. It is a charming and captivating paranormal romance set in New Orleans. This series is fast becoming a favourite of mine, and even though the books are short novella sized stories, they pack a lot in a short amount of space and feel like a much longer novel. In this book we meet Chloe Deveraux who accepts a new job interstate and leaves her unhappy marriage, husband, home, and life behind- to start fresh in New Orleans, a city she’s long held a fascination for. Her new job is at the Chateau Rouge- where she’s the new P.R manager and Chloe will be staying at the hotel while she settles into the job and city. She is so excited about exploring the city, wanting to experience everything the New Orleans has to offer. Her new beginning really kicks off when she has a drink spilt on her in the bar on her first night in town. Jared Peterson is an IT and computer guru with his own software firm. He’s in town on business, which happens to be at the Chateau Rouge, where he is also staying. When he accidentally spills a drink on a gorgeous woman at the hotel bar he is surprised to recognise his high school crush. Chloe hasn’t changed in the years since he saw her last, but she doesn’t immediately recognise him. He’s been crazy about her in high school and he’s determined not to waste this opportunity to reacquaint himself with her, and hopefully it will develop into more. But Chloe is ready for a fresh start and to enjoy her freedom- not get tied down a man again. But as they spend time together, Chloe can’t help but feel drawn to Jared. Will she lower her guard and let him in, or will she allow her fears to prevent her taking a chance on love? This is a great addition to the series and I love how each book reveals a little more about New Orleans, and the history of the recurring characters and Chateau Rouge. Everything is so intricately connected. Small details that all blend together to produce the larger picture. I loved that with this story we got a bit more of Alcide’s story- he’s such a mysterious character, I loved uncovering those details about him. A story rich in history- with wonderful characters, an intriguing storyline, suspense, drama, mystery, tension, new beginnings, the paranormal, and a touch of Fate….. makes this a sweet and memorable read!
If you love a great paranormal romance set in a rich and exotic location, with endearing characters, and beautifully written & captivating story- then this is definitely the book for you!

Blind Magic is the second book in The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells. OMG!! This Book, and Series is brilliant! I love everything about it, but especially the wonderful story that completely enchanted me right from the beginning and held me spellbound right through till the end. I couldn’t put it down, because I just had to know how things would play out- so I ended up reading it in one sitting! Ms. Kells weaves a breathtaking Paranormal/shifter story with werewolves, witches, spells, magic, suspense, intrigue, drama, mystery, and a really beautiful romance. This story could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the first book before embarking on this one, because there are a lot of recurring characters in this book who we meet in the first book, and a lot of backstory and character information is also contained in the book one. Not to mention that it’s an exceptionally good story in its own right. The epilogue at the end of book one set us up for book two, and becomes the prologue in this book. I am still in awe of all the seemingly small details that are intricately woven throughout the story that turn out to have unexpected connections and deeper meaning later on down the line. The story is so superbly written, wonderfully detailed, with vivid descriptions that help to bring everything into being. I was completely swept up in Sera and Ian’s story and followed along expectantly the whole way through. We met Sera in book one as she is one of Valeria’s best friends. Apart from being a powerful witch, Sera is a renowned scholar and researcher, who spends a great deal of time with her nose buried in the books at Impossibilities Inc, the specialty store for witches and magical beings, where Sera works. She is incredibly intelligent, loyal, and kind- with a bit of a stubborn streak. She has worn glasses for quite some time, as her eyesight has been slowly failing over the years. She expects that at some point she will lose it entirely- but she is completely unprepared when blindness strikes quite suddenly. It comes as a great shock and she has been having trouble adjusting to never seeing again- especially since the last thing she saw before losing her sight was the dark and intriguing werewolf she can’t help but feel drawn to and would love to look at some more. Ian Macon’s world was shattered several years earlier when his wife and young daughter were killed by rogue Enforcers. His rage nearly made him feral. He was broken, alone and became bitter towards everything and everyone. Asher brought him to the Sanctuary and gave him a place there, where he could make a difference helping others. Ian is now the beta to Asher’s Alpha of the pack. He is strong, powerful and commanding in his own right, but still a shell of the wolf he once was. His one true mate died- so he will never again find that connection with anyone else, that bond died with his mate. But meeting Sera was like a beacon shining through his darkness, beckoning him into the light. But one thing I have learned about Ms. Kells is that things are never simple, there are layers and complexities yet to reveal themselves. There is definitely a lot more to Sera and her situation, which we discover and that comes into play in a huge way. Ian can’t fight his attraction, or his protective feelings towards Sera- and even though ‘mixed’ relationships are outlawed by the governing council, sometimes fate has a mind of its own. But, danger is stalking Sera, putting her and all those she cares about in serious peril. She will have to find answers and get to the bottom of everything before it’s too late. But will she have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the one/s she loves? There were time through this story where I had my heart in my mouth, reading along anxiously as things played out! The suspense, mystery, tension and intrigue were superb! It was so well done, it was like having a movie play out in front of me. There were emotional points throughout the book, that really made my heart ache- but the last few chapters had me literally sobbing my heart out- I was so caught up in everything that was happening, the story broke me and flung my emotions all around the place, before Ms. Kells slowly pieced me back together again…. And I. Loved. Every. Single. Moment. Of. It! I can’t recommend this story highly enough! You really should do yourself a favour and grab a copy, because you’re sure to love it as much as I have! The next book in the series is “Dead Magic”- Finn and Violet’s story_ and I am so excited to find out about these two!! This book can’t come quickly enough!!!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it won’t be my last! This book is chalked full of angst it was almost too much for my taste. The two main characters are Lauren and Gage. They were Exes that ran into each other again and not in a good way! This story had those up and down rollercoasters of I hate him, But i still love him. I hate her, but I still love her. But with that being said, I did like the banter between them. It was funny and good banter helps me like the characters more. Even with all the bickering and ups and downs, i was hoping they were going to get a second chance. I just didn’t know if they’d kill each other before that happened. The Last Keeper of the Light: a dystopian fantasy by Nikki Broadwell is a story where the world is no longer what it was and survival is for the fittest and cunning. It is a story of hunger and loss, violence and horrors, fear and longing. It is a story of a world that no longer has humanity, where everything is cold, dark and bleak. This story being set in a post apocalyptic world sees a lot of heartbreak and evil and glimpses that are also heartwarming. It makes you realise that we are lucky to live in a world such as we have and shows what it could be like if things took a turn for the worst. An interesting read.

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell is a five star novel. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and seeing how the characters interacted throughout the entire book. Gage and Lauren dated in high school. When Lauren left him at 18, he didn’t know why or what to do with himself. He decided a move was in order and left without a trace. Many years later, he returns to his hometown where he keeps his return home a secret from Lauren. When she finds out, she is not happy. She has never been able to get over him, but has done her best to keep that secret hidden. As they keep getting thrust back into each other’s lives, they have to figure out how to cope and learn how to deal with all their feelings that they have tried so hard to suppress.
“Maybe that’s when you know your love for someone is real. You’d gladly take every ounce of their pain and lift it onto your shoulders. You’d rather be the one to suffer, the one taking each stab to the heart, than watch them hurt. Loving someone means their pain is your pain, and you’re there to carry them when they’re down.”
Charity Ferrell surprises me every time I read one of her books. She has written a story with twists that you just don’t see coming. A story that wraps you up and keeps you turning the pages. Lauren is the female main character who is funny, strong and seems a little down on her luck, at least in the beginning. She is tough and loves hard. She thinks of others and wears her feelings on her sleeve. Gage is the male main character who is also funny, tough and loves hard. And he’s holding a grudge. Lauren broke Gage’s heart just after they graduated high school and the way Ferrell writes, we feel every ache.
I love this second chance story. I love the secrets they have been kept but the consequences from those secrets ripped me open. This story had some major heartache! Luckily Ferrell likes happily ever afters as much as I do!
This story wasn’t all doom and gloom, there were time when I actually laughed out loud. The situation with the Sierra is hilarious:
“I’ve never wanted to tackle someone so hard in my life.”
That Voodoo That You Do, by Jolie St. Amant, is the first of the Chateau Rouge book set. This features stories of three different women and how their lives are changed once they come to Chateau Rouge. This is an author and series that I highly recommend. I have read two stories that are a part That Voodoo That You Do which feature Hannah and Chloe.
Hard Hearted Hannah, by Jolie St. Amant, is the second story in the Chateau Rouge series. This is a paranormal romance novella. This story instantly caught my interest and is the first story I have read by this author. The plot within this short story was unique, yet tied into the theme expertly well. The two main characters, Hannah and Julien, were well paired and their navigation through the story was fun, creative and suspenseful. Add in the cast of supporting characters, there is much mystery lingering in this series and its amazingly done. I have not read the first book of the series and didn’t feel it took away from this story. Jolie St. Amant is certainly a talented author and it is clearly shown in this short story.
Jolie St. Amant’s A Kiss to Build a Dream On is the third book in the That Voodoo That You Do series. This may be a novella with limited pages, but don’t let that deter you. Each of the stories within this series overlap each other in one way or another and the way it is done is seamless and perfectly done. I have previously read the two other books prior to A Kiss to Build a Dream On and enjoyed those. A Kiss to Build a Dream on was fun, light with a hint of paranormal energy with is a solid theme within this series. I really liked Chloe’s character is this book and how she came into her own. This author is quickly growing on me with each new book I read within this series.

Casstiel; Born of Lightning: Dragon Shifter by Sheri-Lynn Marean Four Stars
Casstiel; Born of Lightning: Dragon Shifter is a book two from the world of Dragonkind ~ 52 Realms by Sheri-Lynn Marean. This paranormal dragon shifter story is the first book I have read by Ms. Merean, but definitely won’t be the last. This story was full of magic, wonderful characters and emotions that will keep you reading well into the night (and believe me it is worth the loss of sleep). This is the story of Casstiel and Ashara. Casstiel is a Dragon Shifter who lost his mate, but is not able to follow her into the ever after because some kind of tether is holding him back. Ashara is held almost captive to be a baby maker, but never gets to raise her children. She is holding on to the only thing in life that keeps her life worth living, the invisible bound she has with Casstiel. If you like paranormal this is definitely going to be a great choice for you. I can’t wait to go back and read the first book in this series.
Degrees of Innocence (A Prestian Series Book 1) by Via Mari 5 stars
Well, where has this author been hiding? I really loved this book! Katarina is working, and while out on her first night she meets a man while saving a man at the bar. Little does she know who exactly he is other than his name, Chase. She gets thrown into his world of riches and fame, and shes not quite prepared for any of it. Along the way she learns of her mothers past and some answers to questions she has always had. I ended this book with more questions I need answers too so I will be diving into the next one very soon! This is a must read!

Moments that Define Us by Amy McKinley is a Gray Ghost prequel, and WOW after already reading the first two books I wish I had read this beforehand. It really set things in my mind about what I had already read with the full books. This is a short read, but I will state that this book REALLY packs a punch and so many emotions in this story. This really shows that life isn’t always a bowl of cherries. This is the story of Jack and Jenni. Five homeless guys living in abandoned building have become family and decide to protect the community in which they call home. When Jack isn’t protecting his home and community he spends his time with Jenni, who happens to be the sister of a local drug dealer. Now Jenni is caught in the middle, between her love of Jack and her love of her brother. This book is POWERFUL and action packed, I recommend it to those that have already read the first two books in this series or to anyone wanting to dive into an amazing series. Amy McKinley really set the stage for a great read and a great series. I cannot wait to read MORE!
Addicted to Love by AM Myers is book two in the Bayou Devils MC series. Though there is some insight from the first story in the series I believe this book could be a standalone, but in order is always best! Carly is very good with pushing people away and keeping them at a distance. She’s more into casual encounters rather than relationships and makes it know. But sometimes you just can’t shake a bad boy. Chance may be that bad boy but he sure knows just when Carly needs a pick me up. He knows how to read her and break through those castle walls she’s built. I loved their story. They compliment one another well and take it slow when they need to. They are steamy and fun! I liked this story much better than the first in the series. It seemed to flow better and cleaner. Can’t wait to continue reading about these bad, but sweet, fellas!

Self Love: A British Tale of Woe and Wit TL Clark 5 out of 5 stars
I honestly don’t even know where to start. Self Love is my first experience with TL Clark’s writing and if any of this author’s additional work reads as well as this, it certainly will not be my last. I was hooked on this novel from the very first blundering words. I loved that we are thrown right at Molly and her honest, inner self. I don’t know if it was because I saw so much of myself in Molly’s character, but I felt that she and the story as a whole was incredibly relatable. I feel this has to do with being a woman in general but you read the story and be the judge. There were so, so many times I found myself smiling, cringing but more importantly cheering our main character on. The progression towards self love and accepting no less of what she deserves from herself, her family and her potential love interests was empowering. There were so many pearls of wisdom within these pages, some you’ve may have heard before but definitely quotes from a story I will keep with me. One that struck me as I read was this, “Of course not. But you know, how others treat you is their own karma, how you react is entirely yours.” This sentiment is something I’ve learned along my self love journey and we all will be a little better off as we come into it on our own. Well, it’s honestly 4 am and I could go on and on forever at this point. Overall, this was a great balance between fun, realistic, quirky and deep and meaningful. Well done.

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell 5 out of 5 stars Just Exes is written by Charity Ferrell and I have read a few of her books and I simply adored this second chance romance. I fell in love with Ms. Ferrell’s writing when I read ‘Just One Night’ (Book #1) and ‘Just Her Body Guard’(Book #2), and when I saw this book there was no question, I knew I just had to read it. I have to say that this book was everything I had hoped for and expected from this great author. The characters are well written and amazing even with the emotional turmoil they go through. We also get to see the other amazing characters from books 1 and 2. Lauren runs into her ex that she hasn’t seen in nearly a decade is never a good time. Running into your ex while he’s arresting you is humiliating. The handcuffs close around my fists at the same time he promises to hate me until he takes his last breath. I can’t blame him. He pleaded for me not to walk away. He doesn’t know leaving him broke my heart as much as it did his. It wasn’t for me. Rather, it was for someone else. Gage skipped town after Hurricane Lauren obliterated his heart. Coming home was a hard choice he had to make. Arresting her isn’t. She has no idea of the demons he carry with him now. No idea that he is a new man. Two women ruined him. One he gave his heart to. The other punished him for it, I highly recommend this book… By Tracy
