This book had a mysterious feel to it from the moment I read the description and I couldn’t wait to see how it was going to unfold. The whole book is a well written and unique story. The passion and the enthusiasm from the author comes through on each page and I think that is what drew me in the most. I loved the characters in the story. Each had a distinct feeling and added something to the book. I loved that you could watch them develop as the story went on and I really became invested in a few of them. This is a fantastic book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This book was very good. The author is incredibly talented at painting a picture with descriptions. It was very easy to close my eyes and imagine exactly what she was describing. I will say that at times this talent made the book seem a little wordy. However, that wordiness did not take away from the absolute delight that is the story. This story is more than meets the eye. It is told in the modern era but there are points in time where the story makes you feel as if you have been transported back in time. I have to say my favorite part of the book is Emma. Emma is a strong female protagonist who you will be rooting for throughout the entire story. More importantly, Emma is the type of character who stays with you long after the story is over. Truly her story is one you will want to read again, as I am sure there are pieces I didn’t pay close enough attention to that I would cherish during a second reading.

Taming Beckett is a sports romance tale, and we all know that sports romances have bad boys at the helm and this one is no different.
Broken and down on his luck but of his own doing NHL bad boy Beckett Miller is on the verge of losing it all. Turning to his friend to see if she can help him turn it all around, he discovers much more than he thought he could.
I liked Beckett and Paige and the trials and tribulations they were going through. The chemistry there and They were good for each other, but I found that I could not fully immerse myself in their story. The pacing felt a little too slow at times and a little drawn out leaving me wanting more. Having said that I will be catching up on the next books in the series to see where GK takes it. There are nine books to the series, so it is bound to get exciting?
If you like contemporary sports romances, then give this book a try.

I want to start off saying that this is a YA book targeted for the YA audience. If you are looking for something darker or *spicier* this is not for you. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. It’s the first book in the Dragonpets series and I’m excited to read the others. I liked the premise of the book; however, I feel like the author could have flushed out Rilla’s and Vidar’s characters a bit more along with the plot line. Again, the premise is there and I think there’s a lot that can be done with what R.L.S. Hoff has set up. This was a very quick read for me at less than 200 pages. There are romantic elements; however, they are very clean and age-appropriate. I would definitely recommend this YA book.

This book started off really strong and I had really high hopes for it. Rilla was left as a sacrifice for a dragon, but it turns out that this wasn’t what the dragon wanted. The friendship that forms from these two was very interesting and unexpected. But it dragged in certain parts of the story between the two that I did not enjoy that much and took a lot of head space for me to finish thru it. the way thou Rilla build up confidence and independents in the story was very exciting. But I feel like this story was missing something which made it seem like pieces were missing out. I feel there should have been more character development and more climaxes or conflicts with the characters. Overall it’s an alright read especially for teens.

This book was intriguing from the very beginning. I could not put it down. I kept pushing on trying to find out if there was something sinister to Susie’s fall or if it was as simple as the official story, she was drunk and fell.
We follow Catherine as she tries to find the true story of her daughter’s death while also trying to cope with said death. She feels as if the official story is not true since Susie wasn’t much of a drinker. Catherine thinks she knows her daughter best but as more and more stories of Susie emerge, she doesn’t know what to think anymore. Catherine starts getting paranoid about everyone in Susie’s life, especially Susie’s boyfriend at the time. As the story progresses there are 10 different scenarios that Catherine thinks happened but which one is the truth?
The book was written like it was a journal that Catherine wrote specifically to Susie. I found myself going through a slew of different emotions with this read. I highly recommend this book!

This is a story that is packed with adventure and twists and turns that keeps the reader gripped and reading more. I read this book in 1 sitting as I refused to put it down. This is a beautiful story which many elements including danger, Romance, and a choice which could change the entire direction of Emma’s life. The story is told from two points of view that of Emma and her mother Josie.
Emma and her family live on Thorn Ranch. It is a huge place and is passed down from mother to daughter. The next in line to own the ranch is Emma. However, Emma doesn’t feel ready to take over the ranch all she wants is to be a vet, but she knows she can’t stop what is destined to happen.
When she decides to go and look at the area of the ranch not so well travelled she stumbles across a group of people living on the ranch in secret. How does no one in her family know that these people are here. Now she is stuck between what to do. Does she help these people she has just found or does she remain loyal to her family and her destiny?
Emma is a strong willed and determined young women. This story flows so nicely and leaves the reader guessing which way she will choose. The switch between Emma of today and Emma with the tribe is interesting to see and you are always thinking how will her actions and decisions made when she’s with the tribe effect her life and the ranch.

And Then She Fell by Dreena Collins is a book about a mother, Catherine Keely, who is determined to find the truth about her daughter Susie’s death. Her daughter died on a trip to Greece at age 26, and Catherine’s grief was not ebbing. She sets out to try to put together the pieces of what really happened. As she meets with those who accompanied Susie on her trip, and residents who may have seen her during her stay, it does not take long for Catherine to realize that Susie had secrets she was withholding. This story was an intense read for me. I never want to know the pain and grief that weighed upon Catherine. Losing a child is the biggest fear of any loving parent. The author did such a wonderful job conveying that devastating pain to me as a reader. It was so raw and unwavering. I could not have guessed the story would end as it did! Phenomenal writing and a well-crafted story. I look forward to reading more of this author’s work in the future. Highly recommend.

This is definitely a psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing through the whole book.
The author takes a different approach and gives you different scenarios on how Susie fell to her death.
Susie’s mother, Catherine, doesn’t feel right about this being an ‘accident’, so she sets off to investigate. Through the questions that she asks, she realizes that her daughter had been changing within the last 2 years and she didn’t even notice. Now she’s piecing everything together.

Great book in a new series, by a most amazing author! I could not put this one down, as I was held tightly with the characters, and what they faced, who they were and who they became, it was a good book!
Paige and Beckett-needed each other, in more than one way! They had to rely on one another at first glance, to help achieve goals. Character building was spot on. Chemistry was hot, hot, and did I mention hot? I loved how differences aside, a great team was made, but even off the ice, hearts can melt with the right amount of bliss. Both of them had troubles, be it past trust or habits in general, loved how they pushed thru those fear and issues to really see what they had going on between them. I love sports reads, and this one really amazed me. Good build not too fast and not too slow! Perfect! Loved it!
Such a good read, and highly must say, if you have not picked this wonderful book as of yet, up, you seriously must! The author also had amazing writing skill! Highly recommend this must read book/author!

I really enjoyed the story of Brad and Mary. They were both so likable and relatable. I like how the author wove the storyline, inserting moments from the past into the present situation. Although it is a short read, you will not fall short on finding the emotion in the story. I was only going to begin the book but ended up reading it in one sitting . Mira and Carl are the typical brother and sister in this children’s book by Lois Wickstrom. They are always arguing, trying to one-up the other, and get the best of each other. Carl building and Mira finding ways to ruin it… over and over again. At the end of the day, when it’s time to go home and the last castle is built, Mira and Carl ask their dad if they can come back and do it again. Brother and sister fun!

A tale of second chance romance. Beckett is realizing that the way he’s been living is life is ruining his career and his life. He has to go back to Denver and basically start over having been downgraded to the minor leagues. Paige, a home renovator, remembers him from school. She is the coach’s real estate agent. Let’s just say the chemistry is still there , though Beckett takes a little longer to remember and Paige has some baggage to lose. The story is entertaining and heartfelt. You feel Beckett’s suffering and Paige’s heartbreak as she realizes that her spouse doesn’t support her. These two belong together and they have a long road back to each other. There are misadventures and misunderstandings. There is relationship trouble that must be worked out. Can they do it? I felt they could. This is a must read. The characters are true to life and very relatable. It is fun to read about anything in Colorado, being a Colorado girl. The plot was smooth and flowed well. A wonderful story that is a must read. Well-written and enjoyable.

Raine is good at her job, so when she comes up against her latest foe, she thinks she has everything planned out, but that is until an FBI agent throws a spanner into the works and lands himself right in the middle of it. Will Decker is an FBI agent through and through, he strictly follows the rules, both personally and professionally and he is also very good at his job, but he is tracking a serial killer and he has finally found him, however, things don’t go to plan.
As Will announces himself to the world, the killer turns on him, but he is quicker and stronger than anyone he had ever chased and when he realises this, this is when a woman leaps in front of him and saves his life, but is injured in the process and the killer gets away, but he helps this woman instead of chasing him. Raine is hurting badly from the attack, but decides to accept Will’s help, at least until she healed enough to go back to where she is staying and as they both report back to their superiors, they understand that they will have to work together to track and stop this killer.
As Raine opens up to Will about the killer and his supernatural powers and the supernatural community as a whole, he struggles to accept it, but he perseveres and as the investigation continues, he comes to realise that this fantasy is becoming his reality and it is a lot to take in, but Raine helps him and they work well together, but can they open up to each other and stop this killer, or will the victims be out of luck? This is a fantasy adventure, where a race against time is on to stop a serial killer in his path and with plenty of action throughout, you will be hooked in and eager to know how the story ends.

Two centuries before, Malayeka had been assigned a couple, but it did not go as smoothly as planned and it created a rivalry more thorough than certain ones mentioned in a certain play, so now she is back, she wants to get the lay of the land, in a manner of speaking. Speaking of characters, Emma is such a strong young woman and although she is a fictitious character she may well inspire you with her strength. This is the first book I have read by this fantastic author and I know it definitely will not be the last.

The action in this book never ends. It grabs you by the throat and keeps a good grip until the end. WOW!!!

The characters are so realistic and natural that you forget that they are fictional. I didn’t need another MC series in my life, but this one found me. This romance story has it all. Great word building, story telling, pacing ect! It had a perfect balance of steamy scenes, and story, neither tried to overtake the other. It want too much or too little. I quite enjoyed it all! Candi is afraid to love again. True love doesn’t happen twice. Or does it? Enzo is afraid of commitment and everything it brings. A single touch brings them together over and over, and over again. They both can’t help the feeling they draw to each other. Will they both open their hears to each other and explore the feelings they have for each other, or will it fall flat and these two lovebirds never be together?

I didn’t know this was book 5 in a series, but I wasn’t missing anything from not reading the previous books. Although, I might go back and read the previous books in this series. Jorja is asked to look into the death of a former police officer’s death, Jorja accepts it and it spirals into this big mystery concerning a missing pre-Columbian artifact. The twists and turns and thinking you have something figured out, but then a curve ball is thrown at you and you are back to square one. The storyline was well-paced and thought out very carefully. I can’t wait to read more of Jorja’s adventures and mysteries!

If I Had a Magic Wand by Melissa Lavi is a sweet, illustrated children’s storybook that can be enjoyed by both young and old… It is written is a poetic, lyrical style- which certainly adds to the whole feel of this sweet, heart-warming book. This is a story of a mother’s wish for her baby/children- passing the wishing wand from mother to mother as they each make wishes for their little ones. The messages are touching, tender, sweet, poignant, and inspirational. As I mother, I can really relate to all of the wishes and definitely wish the same for my children and grandchildren, also. A lovely story to read your child at bedtime, leaving them with meaningful messages of love, hope, family, and unity as they nod off to sleep…. Happy Reading.

Susan Renee knocked this right out of the park. A romantic and a romance cynic meet and it’s all about changing minds! I enjoyed this book so much! It was lighthearted, steamy and funny! A new author for me and truly glad I stumbled on this one! Author drew us into the story making us feel like we are sitting front and centre with a bowl of popcorn hoping and waiting to see the outcome! I was so engrossed in this book I even burnt a batch of cookies! Really a great read!

I’m pretty picky when it comes to reading about an MC, there are only a couple that have kept me interested until now. An all female MC really peaked my interest so I thought I would give it a try. So glad I did, this is definitely a series I will be keeping up with.
Tink has quite the back story which sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go. She has dealt with a lot but never let it or the fact she is a woman stop her. She has surrounded herself with some incredibly strong fearless women which I love.
L is exactly what Tink needs. He isn’t afraid of her but respects her and it shows. But he is also willing to jump in the middle if necessary no matter the situation.
This author is new to me, but I looked at her catalog and found a few more to read and I have already put the release date in for the next book in this series. I have a feeling these women are going to become close friends of mine.

This was a really great read. I don’t think I have ever read a female MC book. The females were just as tough and intriguing as if it were a male MC. This is a great start to a great new series. Can’t wait to read more.
