In this collection, there are many imaginative authors. Some of them are my favorites and some are new to me. Because of their excellent writing, you want to read more. They are tales of common people who change people’s lives as knights in shining armor.A M/M romance is featured in Naomi Valkyrie’s Unexpected Heroes. Elijah, a recent arrival in the area, is the sole parent of a little son. His bad past seems to have followed him, so Jude, his grumpy next-door neighbor, must find a way to shield Griffin and Elijah from harm.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.

This is book 7 in the Assassins next Generation and my first book! That being said, while there is of course connections to previous books, I did not feel like I was missing anything coming in at book 7. The struggles Dimitri and Austen face independently while at the same time supporting each other was great! Their relationship developing throughout was wonderfully built and the comedy relief is hilarious. I will definitely be backtracking to read the other books in this series before the next comes out!

This collection of spicy stories about hero saviours has some hidden gems.
The first book in the collection is Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie. This story is MM romance and is a quick burn, with sizzling chemistry between Elijah and Jude. The characters are well developed and it was easy to be vested in their HEA.
Another great story was Into the Flames by Dawn Luedecke. This romcom was brilliantly written and was hilarious. With witty banter, love lost and trust issues, it is an endearing tale that leads to a HEA.
The third story that really appealed to me was Quin to the Rescue by L.A. Reminicky. This is well written and draws the reader into the world of Quin and Mirra – oh and Rufus. Told in dual POV, this engaging hero romance has issues from the past, multiple rescues, animals and of course a HEA.
A worthy collection of over 40 stories. Recommend.

The reluctant one I love love love this series. The Hawke Family Second Generation series continues with book 2, Reticent Hawke. This is Jude and Angelina’s story and it was brilliant. This story really tugs at the heartstrings and shows the raw side of the characters. Jude, who is an adopted Hawke, and Angelina, Hawke by blood, have grown up together and have always felt chemistry. This book and the whole series is a must read for contemporary romance lovers. Bring on Book 3! Highly recommend.

Jude has always been in the shadows of this big family, although not a true Hawke the love and friendship this family has offered has been unfiltered, but the past still haunts him and he always feel like he does not deserve this as his past is horrific and if only they knew he would be discarded like the trash he perceives he is. Although there has always been a shining light, an angel of sorts that has always calmed him and although she is a Hawke he does not feel worthy of her or her love.
Angelina has always been the old soul, having to deal with her father’s death at six years old will do that to you, but when Jude arrived that Christmas Day when he was ten years old, lost and hiding in the closet she had an instant reaction to him of protection, not a mother’s protection but an attraction she has always played down.
Move on fifteen years and Jude is not the ten year old boy he is a man and with his attraction for Angelina growing every time he sees her, but the only problem is his anxiety and Panic attacks are at the all time high. Angelina is frustrated with Jude she does not fully understand his side, she knows he is hiding something but can he trust her and can she love him the way she wants too.
I love this series and the first generation and am so excited that I finally get to read Jude’s story. Over the series you see some of the horrific past of Jude but now understanding the whole story it is just heart breaking and no wonder he feels so broken. Angelina has also had her fair share of heartache aswell and trying to reconcile that she stills loves her dad who past away with the step dad in Landon who she loves just as much but feels like a betrayal.
The story as always is brilliantly written and flows wonderfully, the characters as always are rich and full with heart and passion which jumps off the page and I loved reading the relationship grow between Jude and Angelina. In all the stories I feel like I am part of the family and are transported along with each emotion which grips you till the end.
I really can’t wait until the next instalment, hoping Allie’s story or Astrid. Please Please Please lol.

This Anthology is FULL of stories where someone is rescuing someone else. The first book in this Anthology is Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie and it is a M/M romance. Elijah is new to town and is a single dad to an infant son. A troubled past seems to have followed him and leave it to his moody neighbor Jude to find a way to protect Elijah and even Griffin. A quick almost insta-love story that has you rooting for Elijah and Jude from the first meet.
The second book I want to tell you about from this Anthology is Quin to The Rescue by L.A. Remenicky. Mirra and Quin went to high school together but Mirra has been gone for many years, but now that she is back, can she let go of the demons that torture her memories of the past. Quinn was the star basketball player in high school but after a knee injury ended his basketball playing, now he is a police officer and he comes to Mirras rescue more than once in this story.
This Anthology contains many more stories from various authors and all of them are great.

A new to me author, this book is number seven in a series and yet I had no problem understanding the plot and figuring out the players and who they were married/involved with. I know this story and series follows the players but I find it hard to not want/hope that the sisters of Austens also get their stories told. with that being said, this book in itself is freaking HOT! Dimitry and Austen are a must read. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent with them.

This was such a fun story, with quite a nostalgic element for me. I was a teenager in the 80’s and some of my best memories are associated with those years- so this book triggered me, but in a great way. Back to the 80’s by S.E. Reichert and Kerrie Flanagan is a fun romantic comedy- a bit of an enemies-to-lovers romance with opposites attract, humour, a touch of drama, a taste of the 80’s, and some sweet cheesiness that gave this book added ‘personality’. Blaine Reynold’s inherited shop comes under threat from property developer Eric Morales whose planned brewery is set to demolish her dreams. What happens makes for an entertaining read. Granting Katelyn is the second book in the Sweet Valley Series by S.E. Reichert. It is a wonderful small town western romance with plenty of emotion, angst, a damaged MC, an injured horse, painful past, secrets, mystery, chemistry, challenges, family, friendship, taking a chance on love/finding love unexpectedly, breaking barriers, the healing power of love, and hope. The story highlights some sensitive topics too, which could be triggers for some readers- so be aware. This is Katelyn and Grant’s story. Katelyn is Elle’s younger sister (Elle was our mc in “Raising Elle’- Book #1). Katelyn is called in to help an injured horse, whose owner sparks more than her curiosity. We get front row seats as we watch the healing power of love at work. But that’s not to say there aren’t a few bumps along the way. Another great addition to the series. This is a great collection of stories of knights in shining armor which can come in many different types. There are many creative author’s in this set. Some are new to me and some are my favorites. They are well written and keep you wanting more. They are stories about everyday knights and shining armors that make an impact in lives. One of my favorite stories is by Naomi Valkyrie, Unexpected Heroes. Elijah and Jude are great characters that are strong, supportive, connectable characters. It is a story that is full of emotions and will take you on a rollercoaster for sure. This is a collection you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this anthology

I love this series and I love these characters. I have a strong feeling Reticent Hawke is going to be my favorite book in this set. Which is hard to say when this book tears at the heartstrings. What both Jude and Angelina have been through in life is insane. Part of it comes with the Hawke family, the other is outside their control. Jude’s story was not what I was expecting. It put me through the ringer emotionally. So keep that in mind. It’s all over the place and could potentially be a trigger for someone. Despite all that, the author wrote his story beautifully. She also weaved Angelina into that web perfectly. If you’re looking for sunshine and roses, this is not that type of romance. It’s dark but beautiful. This is the second book in this series, however it can be read as a standalone or in succession. I’ll say this though, if this is your introduction to this author, once you’re done you will be hooked. Not only reading book 1 in this generation series, but reading the books in the previous generation series. Me? I love this world and just hope it’s going to continue.

I only wish I’d read the other six books prior to this story of Dimitri and Austen!
Austin’s discovering her strength and abilities after coming out of a horrific season in life. She survived and is now in a season that lends to her flourishing and getting a happily ever after.
Dimitri is returning to the NHL after playing hockey in Russia. There are some hard feelings on the GM’s behalf thus causing some tension but not as steamy as the tension between him and Austen.
Throughout this journey, the two learn about themselves, one another…they fight feelings and they fight for one another. They fight for their happily ever after despite that plot twist.
Now, to add the others to my TBR and get started reading more of this Assassin’s hockey world.

I am a hockey fan so this book screamed at me. I mean what is better than hockey and love? Right from the beginning you’ll get sucked in learning about Austen and seeing Dimitri’s life. A great story that you’ll want to read over and over again. This love story is one to fall in love with!

Above the waterline. While this is the second book I have read by the incredible Courtney Davis, this book is a completely different universe as the other. Told from Ian and Katherine’s perspectives it isn’t a designated chapter but chapter thing, but it is easy to tell when the switch happens. Ian is a vampire, once treated as royalty by humans and blood offerings made to them for their protection they are now long forgotten by the modern world. Katherine has worked at the local museum in Miami for the past decade, her heart and soul consumed so much that her ex claimed she loved her job more than him. A thousand years have passed since Ian was above the waterline on land, for the past five hundred years he has been the leader of his people guarding the prisons of Atlantis in the Bermuda Triangle. Norgis has escaped, something that has never happened in the 900 thousand years since Atlantis was sunk. Being the first time, it has ever happened he feels it is his job to hunt and return it to its cell. Only in the blink of an eye his mission changes he no longer seeks for the monster but for the woman who makes his blood run hot and calls to his soul. Katherine can feel his stare when she is near but struggles to see into the shadows to find him. Did Norgis escape or was he released? Can Ian win the heart of Katherine? Will they get a chance to be happy or will Norgis succeed in his plan? The world while based in our time is otherworldly, the mystery of history playing out in the shadows and the depths of the ocean. The characters are relatable and when an epic level romance is thrown in all you can do is hold on tight as you sink into the ocean to reveal the secrets long forgotten. I so hope that a second book to the Atlantis series comes soon I cannot wait to see what mysteries await next.

First generation or second generation, I can’t get enough of this family. Another great book for this author. Jude has always been a mystery from the moment he was introduced and this book did not disappoint in learning about him and his past. Angelina is the oldest of thr kids and owns her dream coffee shop. This book brought life to these characters. This book is no different than the rest where you can feel each emotion that is expressed. I thoroughly enjoyed book two from the second generation series. You will not be disappointed.

Liz’s Road Trip by Bernadette Marie is available now ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
I would have to say Liz’s Road Trip was one of the best books I have read this year. Liz stole my heart in this novel. Being raised by my grandma, I could relate to her in so many ways. I couldn’t imagine how she felt learning all the secrets her gram’s held onto all of those years. The characters in this novel were lovable, relatable, and down to earth. And Cosmo, well who wouldn’t have a soft spot for Cosmo. Bernadette Marie whisked me away on this one from the very beginning. I was able to read it in two days, picking it up to read every opportunity I had. This novel was moderately paced and kept me wanting more the entire time. The descriptive scenes had me feeling as if I was on this road trip of a journey right alongside Liz. This was my first time reading a novel written by Bernadette Marie and I will not hesitate in the future to pick up another. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick pick me up type of read, you won’t regret the decision to do so.

Wow, what a story! I loved these ladies from the moment I was introduced and I may have fallen a bit more in love with them in this book.
Indigo like the other ladies has done very well for herself in so many ways, but had a hard time letting go of the past which is understandable. She made a promise to Charlie and still hasn’t made good on it, until Gideon comes into her life.
Not sure why but I instantly pictured Henry Cavill as soon as Gideon was described. Not the Witcher, totally got Superman Henry vibes for some reason and I was more than okay with that.
Gideon and Indigo got through a lot in a very short amount of time and a lot of it wasn’t great which sucked but they had such an amazing chemistry that I couldn’t help but read as fast as I could to find out what was going to happen between the two of them.
Now there is 1 remaining Green St. Girls left standing. I think she is going to fall hard when her time come and I can’t wait.
Great book, can be read as a standalone but I would recommend starting with Athena’s story. You won’t be disappointed.

Technically Jude was not a Hawke by blood but he grew up as one and the family most definitely considers Jude a Hawke. He sometimes wishes he wasn’t because they were intense. From the first night that Jude was introduced to the family Allie and Angie have been by his side even when Jude pushed the rest of the world away. But Jude never intended to fall in love with her especially since she is a Hawke by blood! I love this series! The author gets you hooked from the first page. I have read many books from this author and I can’t get enough of her work!

I have a talent for reading books in a series out of order, but I’m glad I picked this one up anyways! After going on this slow burn journey, I will definitely be picking up every single book in this series. This author is amazing at creating relatable characters and palpable chemistry. I think Dimitri and Austen have quite a funny and entertaining meet cute. The story had an incredible flow, and I was fully invested in the characters within minutes of reading. If you love a good sports romance, look no further!

This book happens to be the first book I read by this author. The story sucked me in from the start. It can be hard when you’re reading a book in a series but I had no problems figuring out the characters. I especially love Austen’s character! What a strong woman to have not only saved herself but also her 4 sisters! I really enjoyed Dimitri’s personality and work ethic. Even though he came in knowing he had to prove himself to get on the Nashville Assassins team, he made sure to be on the ice early and stayed late. Between Austen and Dimitri and how they become friends and moving along to be more then friends with love, some frustration, and openness, really spoke to me. I hope I can read more books in this series and others by this author in the near future.

All I thought about last night and this morning was those kids. They have dealt with unimaginable pain and suffering, yet the garden they were working on with Kit, Mona and Holly became so much more for each of them and their healing.
Holly and Kit weren’t trauma free either and I think that helped them connect with the children and also heal and recover too.
I’m not sure why but Bella in the mud puddle really tickled me, thought about that a few times throughout the book especially during the more difficult moments.
There is love involved, but I feel the book is more about healing any way possible and helping other heal along the way.
Ms. Raines is a new to me author and I absolutely loved this book. I will be reading more by her in the future.

These friends have been with one another through their own personal hells and back. I found myself relating to Athena the more I read it. I, too, have a group of sisters and I can see them through the characters. I couldn’t put this one down and neither will you. There’s so much to enjoy: just check it out!

Yes! I was so happy to pick up the next book from one of my favorite contemporary romance authors! This series has been so amazing. If you haven’t picked it up yet, do yourself a favor and start today. In this book we are back with the Hawke Family and the author navigates through different traumas. I loved the emotional rollercoaster twisting and turning through the story. I’ve never met a character in this series that I couldn’t connect with in some way, so I am always so attached to the journey of each character. I really loved Jude and Angelina. The chemistry is always different with couples, but somehow this author makes them relatable no matter what. The flow of the story was just beautiful and never pulled me out of the zone even once. I’ll say it over and over, please pick up this series and get lost in the gorgeous Hawke Family!

This is series 2 in a group of books by N.D. Jackson. From book one to this one, I love where I see this going. The author managed to add in some mystery, love/romance and make it a great combination which is taking us on adventure I’m down to reading all about. Very impressive work, Ms. Jackson.

This was such a cute contemporary romance! I have read books by this author before, and I have come to enjoy this her work. She takes you on an emotional ride, but still captures the essence of the characters which invests you in them quickly. I picked this up because the cover was cute, and I love gardening so it felt like something I would relate to. I really liked the Australian slang that was thrown in as I have family there, so it made me feel even more at home. If you are looking for a great contemporary romance to read in your cozy book nook this afternoon, I highly recommend picking this one up!

This is a great coming of age story where the characters allow you to relate to them but also wanna rip through the pages to help them. This story brings you into the lives of the characters and you’re right there with them feeling the same experiences from their POV. Great read!

5 Stars Back to the 80s by S.E. Reichert and Kerrie Flanagan
Back to the 80’s Contemporary Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down until I finished. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to be looking into what other books they have written. I was pulled in from the beginning and found myself rooting for Blaine and the other shop owners. The characters are relatable, fully developed and creative yet made me feel like I was apart of the story. Blaine owns a fun novelty shop that her deceased mom passed on to her called “ Back to the 80s “. Then there’s Eric who is a developer who works for his family’s construction company the one that has plans for the mall where Blaine’s shop is. She comes up with a plan that will give her some time thirty days to be exact to convince Eric that the 80’s were rad and why he shouldn’t tear down her shop. These two have an attraction but can they win the bet without losing their hearts in the process? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.
