Once again Ms. Sand delivered a book I didn’t want to end for so many different reasons.
Soul mates can come into your life at any time and Lyle and Kyle’s story shows that. They meet at a very tough time and ended up being the one bright spot in the others life as they got older and life continued to kick them.
There was a lot of back and forth in their relationship, but with their upbringing and the history I can understand to a point.
Absolutely worth the time spent and cannot wait until the next book is released, hope I don’t have to wait too long to find out what happens next.

I am blown away by Afflicted Love! I hadn’t read anything by Autumn Sand before, and to say that they exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. I knew I would enjoy this from the synopsis, but it really knocked me off my feet. The raw emotion and fervor throughout the book are unbelievable. I haven’t read an author that can create and sustain such chemistry in a very long time. It is a dark MM romance, and you want to check out the triggers just in case you want to steer away from some things, but I thoroughly enjoyed this rollercoaster of torturous emotions. The flow pulls you in immediately and makes you think you’re right alongside Kyle and Lyle. I am so ready for the second book already!
Please please please please check the trigger warnings. There are some parts in here that are very tough. Your mental health is worth more.
Okay, with that out of the way, this is a MM contemporary romance. With a dark twist as well. We are met with Kyle and Elijah, who has renamed himself Lyle, to try and get away from his past. Neither of these boys have much in their lives. But what they do have is each other. Or well had each other, until they didn’t. Until one has to call the other due to life circumstances. Kyle is a bad boy rockstar while Lyle is your typical vanilla man working as a doctor. This story will break your heart and then pick the pieces up again and continue to do so through out the story. I do wish we saw more of the rockstar side of this romance as that is why I picked it up. However, I will be continuing with this because that……cliffhanger…oh my heart.
This ended up being a really good read! He beginning was a bit slow and I struggled to get into it but once I finally did get immersed I ended up loving it. The spice was spot on, especially for a historical romance which I also happen to love. I don’t feel like anything important was left out, so I say this can be read as a standalone. This a new to me author and I was impressed as far as a first read goes and I’m excited to read more in the future!

Obedience is the first in the Ties that Bind series. Cassandra has admired Chandler since she was a young girl, after seeing him perform in the circus. Her dream is to one day perform in the circus; or more precisely, perform with Chandler. Cassandra has made it to the Dream Academy and Chandler Moreau. The story has some BDSM elements and suspenseful elements; and the story setting makes this book intriguing. The end left too many unanswered questions; which I hope will be answered in the next installment.

This is definitely a one of a kind book, at least in my little world. This description drew me on because it reminded me of Cirque du Soleil and my inspiration and awe of the aerialist, so this book tugged at my nostalgia. It was such a great experience and romantic read. The execution of this book was phenomenal and will literally leave you wanting more from the way Liza ends the book! This is definitely a must read.

This is a really good book! There was a touch of awkwardness at 1st but honestly … relatable ! In my experience different POVs are usually their own chapters, but here they switched back & forth almost imperceptibly & I kind of liked it. The story flowed beautifully, was surprisingly exciting, & delightfully romantic. I can’t even decide if I’m team Isaac or team Walter, I loved them both so much . I might just be team Suzette, because I’m just like “go ahead girl get them double Ds!!” lol Derriére was a complex & layered villain & I felt slimy every time he was around. Fantastically written, & honestly might have been the best written character. I truly , truly enjoyed reading this story & feeling the glow of such genuine & pure love & friendship. Definitely will be reading more of this wonderful author!

I both liked this book and struggled with parts of it. Kyle and Lyle have known each other since they were kids and support each other through some horrific things. Both are pretty damaged and deal with that damage in different ways. The story is compelling, but while I could see why Lyle made most of the decisions he made, I did not find him easy to connect with nor very likable. Kyle was a bit easier for me to connect within some ways. The cliffhanger ending was completely unexpected. I look forward to the continuation of their story.
I love a really well written Motorcycle Club book and series. Reaper definitely delivers on this. Reaper is the president of the War Brothers MC. Ava is in an absolutely awful marriage. Reaper loves her at first sight. However, she is absolutely enmeshed in this marriage. When they meet again, she is not the girl he met at first. Their relationship builds over the course of the book. You watch Ava work to heal herself after her marriage and Reaper works to help show her how to trust again. This was so well written and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

I had really high hopes for this book as they synopsis looked like something I’d be interested in. However, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get into this book. Another entertaining story about the members of the Balefire rock band. This time it’s Adam Tron’s turn to find love, and he finds it with pop diva Cristy Valor. As soon as she steps onto the stage in one of her wild costumes, and he hears her sexy alto voice Adam is hooked. The fact that she can party hard and keep up with him and the rest of the boys also gets his attention, and with their obvious chemistry, it’s not long before Adam wants an actual relationship with Cristy. However, he feels like she’s holding back from him, but he’s determined to be patient. Meanwhile, Cristy is happy flirting with the poster boy for tall, dark and sexy, Adam and the chemistry when they have sex is amazing. When he wants more than just sex, Cristy pulls away, as she has a secret and one which gives her nightmares. Throughout her career she’s prevented the tabloids from looking into her past, and she’s worried that if she opens up to Adam her secret will be discovered. Worse than that she’s worried what Adam will think if he finds out the truth and she doesn’t want to get her heart broken. The chemistry between Adam and Cristy sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. As usual the author brings the world of Balefire vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story and engaged with the characters.

Although this book is the 5th in the series it can easily be read as a standalone story. This is a second chance romance that is fast paced and quite exciting. This is the kind of story I really like and I have to say I loved the part the band had to play within this. Initially, I didn’t fully connect with the characters. However, as the story went on I found myself warming to them much more. I enjoyed watching their development throughout the book and by the end I was fully engaged with them. This was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a quick to read YA story that is engaging and entertaining. Cecily was a great character to read about and I thought she was really relatable, despite being a YA character. I think the author has done a great job of portraying the angst and drama of a young adult. It is exactly like the feeling I remember when I was of that age. The story itself was well written. It is an easy read and perfect for an afternoon of reading. I enjoyed the fact we could see more of this characters development. I hope we get to see more installations of her journey still.

I wasn’t sure what to think when I first started reading this book. It has everything that one would want form a historical romance. It also has a twist with some amazing MMF steamy romance. Let’s just start this out with saying this book pack a bunch of steam in the pages. It will have you wiggling in your seat, fanning yourself, and even blushing depending on who might walk by when you’re reading it. FABULOUS!!! It also carries with it the time period essence that you would expect from historical romance. Then add in some mystery and suspense. This book has everything to keep you turning pages and not wanting to put it down. It was a quick read because I just couldn’t stop reading. It’s like a can of Pringles, once you start you can’t stop. Be prepared for this to happen and make sure when starting this book you have the time to just fade out of your everyday situations and get lost in this amazingly well written book. Hot for Me is Book Four in The Balefire Series that is focused on the rock band, Balefire. It is a contemporary romance novel that tells the story of Cristy and Adam who are members of Balefire. Cristy is sex on heels, loves attention, and grabs headlines wherever she goes. When she goes on tour with the band, she immediately grabs Adam’s attention as well. Cristy loves to flirt with Adam and is equally attracted to him but enjoys the attention he gives her, and it takes awhile before she gives in to her primal urges. Adam wants more but Cristy does not want or need a relationship. She has demons from her past that she is unable to get past and they threaten to ruin any future she has.
This book was exquisitely written with a fascinating storyline, intriguing characters and vivid scene descriptions that fully immerse you into the story. It is told from the POV of both Adam and Cristy, so you experience their feelings and emotions along with them. The chemistry and attraction between Adam and Cristy sizzles off the pages. Adam is a Rockstar who wants more than a casual fling, but Cristy cannot offer him more because of her past secrets. Any relationship that Adam and Cristy may have seems doomed to fail because of not only those secrets but numerous external forces as well. Interfering managers, fans, gossip sites, and paparazzi all play a part in keeping the couple apart. The author takes us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with Adam and Cristy as they try to navigate through their relationship. This story is full of steamy sex scenes, love, anger, secrets, betrayal, and drama galore.

Afflicted Love (Rhythm & Heart Series) by Autumn Sand. This is such a fun, quick read that will literally leave you hanging. Its the story of Lyle and Kyle who have gotten to know one another and have a lot in common. They both come from pretty traumatic childhoods. The more time they spend together the more they have feelings for one another. Kyle doesn’t have a problem with it. He’s proud to be in love with Lyle but Lyle is not so sure. He’s not sure how he feels about his feelings. They end up having a pretty toxic relationship together and in the end one truly gets their heart broken but can it be fixed. Can Lyle come to terms with being gay and can he prove to Kyle he has it all together and won’t hurt him any more? Read this fast paced short read that will leave you wanting more. Can’t wait for the next installment.
This was a pretty quick read for me but I was left wanting more. We meet Riley while on a job as a P.I. little does she know the danger she’s in. When a chance encounter brings back someone she thought forgot all about her, the sparks fly. I really wanted to get to know these 2 more than we got to in this quick read. They had quick chemistry but it was very fast paced and over before I wanted it to be. Overall a great story I’m just greedy and want all the extra details.

This book is so good and its like I say for all of this authors books, be prepared to not put this book down! This is the story of Lorenzo who has come to Vegas from the old country to finish some things left undone. Part of his job with the Laruisso’s family is to spin stories to make them look good. Enter Izzy Arden a reporter has been spitting out stories of the famous mafia family for years. It doesn’t hurt that she’s red headed and gorgeous. Once they meet its like wildfire and they can’t control each other. Their passion is so strong it is uncontrollable. Will Lorenzo get the revenge he’s looking for while also getting the girl or will he lose his job and his love? This is a fast paced love story about revenge, murder and the mafia that you won’t want to miss.

Stay for Me is Book Five in The Balefire Series that is focused on the rock band, Balefire. It is a contemporary romance novel that tells the story of Garrett and Olivia who broke up ten years prior. Garrett chose to leave Olivia to pursue a career in the music industry managing a rock band. He has always regretted breaking it off with Olivia so when fate gives him a second chance, he does not want to do anything to mess it up. Olivia has worked hard over the past ten years to become a Hollywood music video director and has moved past her breakup with Garrett. When her studio is hired by rock band Balefire fate brings Garrett back into her life and Olivia is not happy about it. She does not trust Garrett to not hurt her again.
This book was well written and told from both Olivia and Garrett’s POV, so we can experience what each character is thinking and feeling. The characters are well written and relatable, and it is easy to empathize with both. Garrett comes across as a bit of a jerk at times, but we can see but we are able to see him grow and mature. He knows that he made a mistake ten years ago by walking away from the best thing that happened to him and he is willing to do whatever it takes to win her back. Olivia is smart, hard working and driven to succeed. Garrett hurt her immensely and she has worked hard to put that part of her life behind her. When he reenters her life, she is naturally wary of him and does not want to get hurt again. This was a well written second chance romance with passion, love and loss, drama, angst, chemistry, and a second chance at love.

Fiddle and Fire is Book Two in the Hearts of Gold series. It is a steamy MMF historical romance novel set in early San Francisco. The story centers around the characters of Suzette, Walter and Isaac who find themselves attracted to one another.
Walter and Isaac are best friends who have travelled across the country together and settled into San Francisco. Walter is secretly in love with Isaac but afraid to tell him for fear of the feelings not being reciprocated. At that time in San Francisco there were very few women so when Suzette blows into town both men find themselves attracted to her. Suzette is drawn to each man for different reasons and finds it hard to choose between them. She also seems to be the missing piece to their puzzle as she ignites the spark between Walter and Isaac. The solution seems to be for her to be with both men and that way she will not be forced to choose. The only problem is that Suzette has some dark secrets from her past that will threaten to ruin everything.
I loved the historical backdrop for the storyline and found the concept of MMF interesting for the time period it was set in. The characters were interesting and the added detail of Suzette having a dark past added a sense of mystery, danger, and suspense to the book. Her past threatens to destroy them all and puts all three of them in danger. I took away a star because this story was told from multiple points of view which I found a bit hard to follow at times. Overall, an interesting historical romance book.

You’ve got a nice period piece with MMF. This all happens I’m San Francisco when Suzette enters the city. Isaac and Walter have always been there for each other, and have always had this connection. When Suzette came in, she brought up the connection and had them all come together. Then her past comes in with a vengeance. So much happens and it’s great! I didn’t know it was part of a series, so this is a great stand alone!

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which had me gripped from start to finish. Although it’s part of a series it can be read as a standalone story, however the characters do crossover as each book focuses on a different member of the Balefire rock band. This is manager Garrett’s story with a second chance at love theme, with Olivia. Ten years ago Garrett chose “his boys” over her, now she’s a Hollywood music video director, and her next client is the biggest rock band on the planet – Balefire. If her studio wasn’t loosing money then she would turn it down rather than have to work with the man who broke her heart. For Garrett managing Balefire has come at personal costs, especially loosing Olivia, the one women he’s ever loved. Seeing her again brings back memories and he’s determined not to loose her again. Garrett is trying to convince Olivia that he’s a changed man and knows what he wants, her. However, Olivia is not convinced that it can work, or that she can trust him to choose her this time. The chemistry between Garrett and Olivia sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story, and the descriptive narrative brought the world of rock band Balefire vividly to life!

Interesting historical romance This ménage/why choose romance set in early San Francisco is filled with mystery, suspense, and old fashioned drama. Suzette, Walter and Isaac’s story, though a little disjointed at times, was entertaining. The author does capture the nuances of the era and presents and overall good story.

I truly love this series so much. This amazing author keeps bringing us such wonderful characters filled with so much heart that you can’t help but to be drawn in to their stories. Ivy and Ace had me completely hooked right from the very start and I couldn’t stop reading until I knew everything that was going to happen. They are definitely two people only truly whole when together.

When I saw the name of the main character, I knew I had to read it. I love that the book has a different take than most other romance books I’ve read. It’s a teacher/student dynamic that is in a circus theme, which, I have yet to read. I loved it. The ending left me wanting more. The slow burn almost, not allowed, love is so gripping. It truly is a story that of course would only happen at the “Dreamers Academy.”

Book 2 begins at the De Rosa mansion when the Larussio’s come in at the end of book 1, when Dominic takes off to find the younger De Rosa children. It picks up very quickly and focuses on the magnetic attraction between Dominic Larussio and Emilia De Rosa as he snatches her to take to their warehouse for information.
Dominic realizes very quickly that Emilia is no little princess, shielded from everything their lives entail. In fact, she is wildly resourceful and has a major desire to help her family and bring down her enemy. Her lack of fear when faced with danger not only keeps her alive in many situations, but earns her Dominic’s admiration and respect, beyond his attraction to her and their magnetic pull towards one another.
There are some things Dominic chooses to keep to himself, both things from Sal and the family as well as from Emilia while he tries to balance everything, find out who is behind which terrible act and why, make a plan to protect his family and the woman he is falling in love with…with some good passionate sections and good brutality to make sure you don’t forget exactly who you’re reading about. Well written, nice world building, gritty without being grotesque, and characters you can’t help but root for.

Thus begins a delicate balancing act between what Izzy writes, what Lorenzo reads, the story she expertly weaves to lead anyone picking up a paper to believe what she wants them to believe…and the risks involved in getting in a relationship with a mafia man. Their passion is explosive, the weaving together and tying loose ends between the previous two books is artful, and it is a fascinating back and forth between seeing how dark Lorenzo can be while also being a fair man who can love deeply and sincerely.

This is the 3rd book in the Bluestone Series, which is about Ivy and Ace. Ivy is working to keep her Ranch while dealing with men who don’t give her the respect she deserves for all the work she is doing. She hires Ace to get some help around the Ranch but she never expected the attraction between them. When Ace lets it slip that they are engaged (fake) to keep a vultures away, things get interesting. This romance is a fun read and had me in stitches at times. The author does a great job with world building and her writing style makes it easy to get sucked into the story. I really enjoyed reading about Ivy and Ace.

Afflicted love by autumn sand is the first book in the serious and it is a m/m dark romance
This book was excellent. There is a huge variety of feeling and attention to detail in a book that only took me an hour and a half to read, including hunger, fury, despair, love, and hate.
I’m looking forward to book 2 in the Rhythm & Heart series after reading Afflicted Love. This is a Kyle and Lyle M/M romance. The two met when they were young lads who were having a hard time because they both came from violent households.i am quite interested in how things turn out for these two.
Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings excitement into your life. I couldn’t put the book down.
Stay for Me was good. I enjoyed it. The yo-yoing back and forth between band and manager was a little much. But then again that’s what happens when one jumps into a series during book 5 vs at the beginning. Did this book work as a standalone? Absolutely! However I might’ve understood the animosity more if I read the other 4 first. Which is something I know I’m going to look into. Walking away from the one he loved destroyed Garrett, and despite the animosity between him and the band, they wanted to make it right. However all they could do is get Garrett and Olivia into a room together, the rest was on them. To find what they left behind 10 years earlier. Of course no romance comes without some sort of painful drama. Which the empath in me brought a tear to my eye. It felt over. It felt final. Of course it wasn’t the end of the book yet, so I knew anything could happen. It just pulled at the heartstrings. When an author can make you feel, doesn’t that show they wrote something wonderful? Start right here, or start at the beginning. But don’t question that this author has something worth exploring. A take on things to make reader’s emotional. Which to me makes reading all that more enjoyable.
