This book is an original and interesting story that I enjoyed much more than I expected when I started reading. Although it is predominantly a romance story there is a supernatural element to the story that really adds such a depth to the book. I really connected with the characters and enjoyed the intricacies of them. The author managed to pack a lot into this book without it feeling like it was rushed or too much. All the elements worked well together and made for a fantastic book to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I cannot wait to read more.

I thought that the aesthetic was a driving force for the book. It started out well for me but I lost the connection around the mid point of the book. I thought that the plot lost a little of its spark for me. The author’s writing overall was beautiful in the area of description specifically with the aerial acrobatics. I will definitely be interested to read the next book.

I just love these dark mafia romances by this author. In this particular book, we get insight into the Lurussio’s family’s consigliere, Lorenzo. He is a dark, private, intense man, but on the inside, he is more caring then he lets on, but only for Isabella. Isabella is a reporter that is trying to secretly get the scoop on the mafia families of Vegas. However, Lorenzo, as consigliere, he knows all and calls her out when caught in one of their private clubs. The chemistry between the two is instant. In addition, they are both familiar with circumstances because Isabella’s father use to work for the family. Because of the attraction and her father, the Lurussio family offers her a deal to be their reporter and write the stories they want to be published. Isabella takes the job because, well does she really have a choice? It definitely starts as a love-hate relationship that quickly advances to love-love. However, being someone who is trying to spill the family’s secrets, will need to try really hard to gain her trust, but she needs it from him too, the lady’s man. Can the two of them find common ground to do what is best for all families involved? Can they learn to trust each other, even when love is clearly present? As all the other books in this series, it was a great, quick, sexy read. The author has a great way of just getting to the point – I am not a slow-burn lover and this author never keeps you waiting. Both characters were quite loveable and you can see the growth of love they both portray for each other. I also love that you can see the trust unfold through the story on both sides – it just makes the love story seem more believable. I am not sure if this is the end of the series it seemed like yes, but I know there are more characters that can become important pieces for the family so I hope to continue to read more on the Lurussio family.

This is the first book in what will be an incredible series. It was filled with paranormal, action, a little romance, secrets that kept me intrigued until the end. This book had everything from action, drama, suspense, it took me on an adventure that didn’t stop and had me wanting to know what happened next. I found this book well written and easy to read. The characters in this book really had me wondering if it was going to work out with them, the way they were so opposite each other but, in the end, it really made for a good friendship and more. An entertaining story that you don’t want to miss. I could not put it down once I had started reading. This is a brilliant book, and I cannot wait for the next.

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading. This is a well written story that has a lot of emotion including funny parts. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the story come to life on each page. This is a story about three women and a man. A story of a man who just keeps getting hit with disastrous women, one after the other. But what will happen in November and what fate has instored for these characters are something you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed how connectable the characters are. They brought laughter and other emotions to the story. They made it easy to read and made it hard to put down. They made the story for me, for sure. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book.

This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed her writing skills as well as her attention to details. This is a second chance MC romance story that is well written and engaging. The characters are relatable and pulled me into the story from the beginning. They are supportive, steamy and bring life to the story. I enjoyed the details that the author used to make the story realistic. I had no problems picturing myself in their world This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed the suspense added to the romance in this story and made it even better. What will happen to Ava and will she get her happily ever after this time around? You don’t want to miss this story for sure. I highly recommend this book.

This was a really good book. It captures your attention quickly and doesn’t let go. I enjoyed the description of the creatures.
I really appreciate Maren. She’s very protective of her sister. She’s smart, and brave. Kane is one of those characters that grabs at your heart. He’s the bad guy type but you kind of fall in love with him (at least I did).
This was my first introduction to this author. Her writing is engaging. I highly recommend this book.

A fantasy, fairytale story inspired by Chinese mythology and traditions. I loved the evolution of the story and characters as we follow their journeys. As we read the story from the perspectives of Huli’s and Xiao Ying’s, it pulls you into the story and feels like you are falling into an epic fantasy full of legend. Nothing is what it seems, in this epic, action packed, fantasy full of loss and hope.

Travis is book one of the series. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author but it was a good read! It’s quick but it pulls you in until the end.
Riley and Tristan bump into each other and their connection is instant, even though Riley is sure Tristan doesn’t feel a connection. Tristan knows that his ex is going to be a problem and doesn’t want to bring that on Riley. Their connection builds as they continue to run into each other. Is that connection strong enough to withstand anything?
This book has it all. Suspense and steam are plenty! The characters are great and it’s very well written. The only thing you may find yourself wanting is more to their story. I highly recommend!

Emotional and romantic Three Women in November is a brilliant romance which has such a range of emotions. From the funny highs to the raw painful lows this story had me glued. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was like a modern day 90210/Gossip Girl. Cecily was a wonderful character, and there was a lot of growth for her in this book. She is excited for her new opportunity, and she is loving her life with her boyfriend and her volunteer work. As things take a turn, she starts to question a lot of things and a lot of choices. Fame and everything behind the scenes is nothing as she expected. This was a book I would definitely read again, and give to my teenage daughter to read.

Finally!! I could not wait to read the conclusion to Cole and Riley’s story. I loved this entire series and I’m so glad that all the answers that I had were finally answered in the third and final book of this series. Isla Vaughan is an incredible writer in my opinion and I cannot wait to read more of her work in the future!

Reaper is the first book in the War Brothers MC series by Bianca Lee Ward. It is a slow burn MC romance- a bit of a romantic suspense with drama, danger, action, violence, chemistry, sizzle, MC culture/lifestyle, brothers-in-arms, friendship, family, banter, humour, emotion, and more. The story does contain sensitive topics that could trigger some readers: themes such as manipulation, mental health issues, domestic violence, trauma, sociopathic behaviour, violence, and abuse, to name a few- so if you have any of these triggers, then this probably isn’t the book for you. This is a short engrossing read that was a little slow to get going, but once I got in the groove, I was hooked and easily finished the book in a couple of hours. Although I did feel like the ending felt rushed. But these didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book. We meet Reaper who is the President of the War Brothers MC. He is a battle-scarred veteran who carries quite a lot of baggage. He has been besotted with Ava since he first met her- but she belonged to someone else. Now, she needs help, which is he’s happy to provide. Soon, the sparks fly, and things get complicated- and so the story takes an intriguing turn. Add some danger, tension, and steam- and we get an engrossing read. Bring on Book #2- Bomber….. Looks set to be another great read. Happy Reading…

This book was SO GOOD. Hunger, anger, desperation, love, hate…there is a crazy range of emotion and attention to detail in a book that only took me an hour and a half to read!
Lyle and Kyle both grew up in a very slummy trailer park with very desperate lives. Kyle was the son of an addict who wasn’t afraid to utilize whatever he had to in order to get his next fix. Lyle was the son of a drunkard and abuser, but his wonderful mom gave all she could to protect him. Lyle was small, from malnutrition mostly. One day while the neighborhood kids were bullying him, Kyle stepped in and protected him and they became as close as brothers from that day forward. Lyle’s wonderful Mom, Karise, welcomed Kyle with open arms and gave him the first experience of real, genuine love and affection he had ever had.
Kyle and Lyle got out and never looked back, but never admitted to one another how much they lived and breathed for the other. When they became estranged, neither either expected to see the other or have to rehash their feelings again. Until a death in the family brings them back together, and back home, and the time comes to face each other.
I cannot do justice to this intense and fast burning story. Impatiently waiting for the next addition to the series.
I have always loved the “second chance” trope and this feels a bit like that. Ava meets Reaper at a wedding, but Ava is married already. To an abusive husband. Man, the story just takes off. I was hooked and stayed up way too late reading. I loved the secondary characters as well. Can’t wait to read Bomber’s story. Loved the world the author created. Great job with the emotions of Ava’s story especially at the beginning. I was on the edge of my seat in one scene!

4/5 stars This was my first read in the series and by this author. This read is definitely geared towards older middle school aged/high school aged readers. It’s written well, and tackles normal issues for that age group. I didn’t feel lost even though I didn’t read the first two books. This book can definitely be a standalone but reading the first two would probably give more background on the characters.

I really liked the plot and the unfolding events in this story. The author did a great job of slowly introducing us to a romantic situation that isn’t considered the norm. It helped us to see how something like this might have happened in this period of time. I really liked the way the characters are developed as well. This series really knows how to pull at the heartstrings. I absolutely love The Echo Series. Unexpected Entanglement was a wonderful addition to the series. Though very much a series these books work well as standalone novels as well. The author is at it again. The ability to make the reader happy, sad, angry, and bring tears to one’s eyes is a gift that not all possess. In saying that and the emotional rollercoaster ride I just finished, this is my favorite book in the series to date. I hope there’s more. Chris and Rowan are wonderfully written. Two characters on different paths when their lives collide. Recognizing the best in one another and using those attributes to make Rowan’s property rebuild and first wedding event a success. Not without drama Bright Head Inn & Farm keeps running into some speed bumps. Patriarch passing, an estranged sister, some cosmetic issues, or the neighbor who’s lobbying for the property won’t prevent them from prevailing. The sister is the reason Chris is there in the 1st place. It’s the other sister he meets at the Inn he can’t keep out of his head and heart. Determined to help he would do anything for Rowan, only if she lets him. The Echo Series keeps you on your toes. It keeps you wanting more. I’ll reiterate that you can read these books without reading the others, however my question is “why would you?” Time to take a dive into these characters’ lives, you won’t regret it.

Reaper is the first book in the War Brothers MC Series and is a MC Romance that is fast paced and hard to put down until you finish. This is a new to me author and I’m definitely interested in what else they’ve written. I’m a sucker for MC Romance and this one checked all the boxes, bad boy bikers, drama, revenge, action Romance and more. Ava and Reaper meet at Ava’s sister’s wedding and the moment he seen her he felt something he’d never felt before. He knew something seemed off about her husband couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen. Ava ends up at the War Brothers MC with her sister to stay for a bit while she figures things out. You don’t want to miss what happens next, I highly recommend reading this book. I don’t want to give anything away. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I’m really hoping they all get there own book.

This is great book to read if you have a quiet afternoon on a weekend. Not very long, but it has enough happen to grab you and keep you reading and doesn’t skimp on details. I have read a few others by Ms. Kincaid and she hasn’t let me down.
Riley and Tristan go through a lot more than you would expect in the short time they know once another after meeting by chance after a wrong turn. And they keep finding themselves running into each other over the months in various ways.
Very entertaining book that pack a lot into a fairly short story. Looking forward to reading more in this series once released.

This was a good 4 star read. You get pulled in right from the beginning. Riley is a private detective who has some interesting cases. We get danger, suspense and so much more. Fate keeps bringing Riley and Tristan together. Tristan is a firefighter who wasn’t looking for anything until he met Riley, something about her pulled him in. Riley has some pretty high walls, can Tristan get through them? Riley is in danger, will Tristan be able to keep her safe? I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see who was after Riley and why. I really like the characters, you could feel their connection coming off the pages. I am looking forward to reading more from this series and author. Savage Truth is the 2nd book in the Hidden Valley Elite series. I am obsessed with this series, and am so glad to see there are 8 books planned. This book cannot/should not be read without reading the previous books. This book picks up where the previous book leftoff. It almost could be the same book, just the next chapter. There is no draw in or recap. This book had a lot of stuff going on and kept me on the edge of my seat, I didn’t want to put it down. Stupid work and kids, lol. Cole and Riley still have their love hate relationship going on. Riley finally gets the chance at a somewhat normal life, and is able to join the high school swim team. But, her joining is a risk, and we get a little more information on her and her mom’s background. We learn a little more about her dad, and Uncle Ronan. I love all the characters of this story, and am glad to see them all develop a little more. I look forward to the next book, and recommend this book highly!

A slow burn romance with not your ordinary MC characters that you get in most other reads. It was a quick, but good read. I did not want to put it down. I needed to know what would happen next for Ava. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and cannot wait to pick up the next book in the series.
It focuses on the relationship between Reaper and Ava. Reaper is the President of the War Brothers MC. Ava’s sister Elena is getting married to one of the MC members, Axle. It is at this wedding that the pair have a brief encounter. It is not until a year later when Ava is brought to the clubhouse covered in bruises by her husband that she is running from that the pair meet again. Already let go once Reaper won’t let that happen again.

Another really sweet romance from this author! I don’t want to say too much for fear of spoiling anything, but it was an enjoyable read from start to finish. This one wrapped up really nicely. Our characters get a happy ending after the problems that Riley and her mother are running from come to a head. Though, at times, the story felt a little disjointed. Just needed a little more time to flesh out the Mafia backstory.

This series has been extremely well written and I have enjoyed all three stories. This one follows Chris Sullens. He owns and develops small resorts in some of the most beautiful areas in the world. He finds himself on a small island in order to help Rae, his best friend’s new wife, when she finds out some interesting family news. I like that this book circles back to some of the reasons Rae is untrusting in book one. Chris is flashy and comes from money, but he really wants to move away from that and loves his Eve Collections resorts that he created. When he arrives on the island he is instantly interested in Rowan. She is a red headed, independent spitfire who is running the family inn. Not everything has been easy for her after her father dies and drops a bomb on her and her brother. Chris shows up shortly before they are supposed to throw a family wedding and for some reason offers to help her. He has worked every part of the family business and tries to help where needed. He is there to help Rowan and they find themselves in some unexpected and strange occurrences. I loved the setting of this book so much and can imagine the small island feel, the inn and all the land, and the characters who live on the island too. I enjoy when an author writes books based on different characters but with overlapping stories so I can still read about the other characters.

Reaper is the first book of the War Brothers MC series. I will say that this dark MC romance book could be triggering to those who are affected by themes of domestic violence as this is portrayed in this book. There is also plenty of suspense, violence and romance.
The author had a wonderful style of writing – it flowed well, and they were able to creative vivid imagery with the descriptive language used. I enjoyed the way on which the author portrayed the motorcycle club loyalties and the culture there is within the group. There is of course illegal activity taking place, but the brotherhood and sense of family is clear in their writing. It is a lot bigger than just criminals running around on motorbikes. There’s more to the club and the characters involved than you may have originally thought. Another aspect I thought was written well was the portrayal of the domestic violence. The dangers that are faced and the manipulation that goes with it which I think is often forgotten in literature. The effects had on the character and how this bleeds into other aspects of their life was done so well.
I absolutely loved Reaper and Ava – they are both incredibly strong characters fighting to overcome their individual traumas and finding themselves (and each other). I loved how they supported each other and made each other stronger for it. (And honestly, who wouldn’t want their own Reaper?!) I hope to get to know more about other characters in the book as the series progresses and seeing how they evolve and develop in their own books.
It was a brilliant first book to get roped into and I look forward to being able to get my hands on the next book!
