Oh my goodness! This is one of the best MC books I’ve read this year. I’m going to rank it up there with my favorites, D.M. Earl and Manda Mallet. It’s a cleaner version of them and so dang good. I can’t tell you much because I feel it would be spoiler. I can tell you that the characters are outstanding. Reaper and Ava are so relatable. Ava goes through hell. The plot is fantastic and you just can’t put it down once you start. I had to read it straight through. It just grabs you. There is drama, romance and suspense. A definite must read. I’ll be eagerly awaiting book 2.

This book is about Riley Scott who is a private detective. She mainly catches cheating spouses so she isn’t looking for love in her life. She meets Tristan Cain at a coffee shop and immediately they are Both attracted to eachother but neither lets their feelings known. However Tristan goes out of his way on his days off to go back to that same coffee shop in hopes of running into her again and again. When Riley’s coworker sets her up on a blind date, it’s one of the firefighters who Tristan is close with so he and Riley get to talking and get to know eachother better. Tristan is a firefighter and rescues her when she needs it. Seeing Riley again after so long, he thinks he’s seen a ghost and then it all makes sense. This book was a great short read. Wish it was longer.

This was a quick read for me. It was a good story with a moving plot. There were a lot of connectable themes for the reader. I thought that Cecily was a well designed character and enjoyed seeing her handle what life was throwing. I would read more by this author.

Riley and Tristan keep crossing paths. Riley is a Private Investigator who finds herself in a rescue situation. One in which Tristan will be her knight in shining armor.
Tristan with a crazy ex tried multiple times to get Riley out of the picture. When this is discovered while Tristan is keeping himself and Riley safe while waiting to be rescued they take precautions and hole up together.
This leads to a fall in head over heels in love in a 48 hours type of scenario. Then the crazy ex shows back up and threatens the fairy tale ending for Tristan and Riley.
Will they survive the crazy ex again? There are some crazy people in the world that will go to great lengths for the one they love and this book makes you think about that! I found myself wanting more story and not wanting it to end.

In this kind of Novel, I love when the character feels like the happy ending is at the beginning of the story. I thought that too when I read the part about Lauren falling in Love with Mitch at six years old. I was like aww that is cute but that really never happens, does it? But like any other story fairy tales only last for a while especially for Lauren and Mitch. I truly did not like how Mitch can do that to her. Treating her like a queen and then like nothing. I am glad that Lauren kept on going and not letting Mitch ruin her, but that is what I thought. Poor Lauren towards more at the end of the story reality hits harder for Lauren when her hard-working restaurant went down in flames and her marriage. I never thought that I can feel her pain until that happened to her, letting her emotions take the best of her into gabbling her life away. An amazing story that I would recommend to anyone but start with the 1st book. The author did an amazing job, it kept my eyes watery for most of it.

Garrett has loved the lifestyle and enjoys the single, young guy status but Garrett has had his regrets and one was the woman he left behind all those years ago to manage the band, but he has never really loved anyone else but her.
Olivia is at the top of her career, getting the gig of directing the Grammy’s is a once in a lifetime thing and she has to pinch herself, the only thing is she will see the man who walked out on her ten years ago and took her heart with him, choosing a group of young rock stars instead of her, hurts more than he will ever know. But, when Olivia gets a request to direct the new video for Balefire is he prepare to see Garrett and will all the old feelings come back. She has learnt to hide things can she hide the love still burning in her heart for this man.
OMG, I am not the biggest Garret fan but I loved this story of love and lost and the fairy-tale that can come true. Did he deserve to get Olivia back into his life, NO but to be fair the more I read of the book the more I actually warmed to Garrett and you get to understand the reasons behind all the things he did. I loved the characters of Olivia with her sassy, kick ass side to her but underneath all the glamour and armour still was still that lost girl hurt by the love of her life.
This was a brilliant well paced and written story, which if you have not read the series from the start can be read as a stand alone story but I recommend reading the whole series as you get the full view of Garrett and what he has done and how everything fits in. The relationship between him and the band in the end was lovely to read and how they understood his sacrifices that he took at the beginning and was a great end to the story.
Thank you for a brilliant series and a fitting ending to this series and pulling Garrett out of the idiot section to the AHHH section.

Adam Tron is part of the biggest rock band of the century and as such can have his choice of woman but as his friends in the band are slowly finding there futures he is feeling a bit lost at the moment. Although he has a plan that hopefully will bringing with the woman who has dreamed about for a while now but never approach.
Christy Valor has overcome a lot in her life to get to the heights of the Pop world, so when one of the hottest Rock bands asks her to come and tour for some of there dates she jumps at the chance, although full of sass and seduction she is really looking forward to Tron, his bass speaks to her and if his music anything to go by he would be a brilliant lover, a bit of fun for the tour.
Although they strike up a relationship on the road, Adam feels like there is a secret with Christy that she is not comfortable sharing, yet. But, we need to get through Adam’s manager and Christy’s Manager who seem it is there right to sabotage the relationship from the beginning.
This is the first book I have read in this series and it can be read as a stand alone book, but I am determine to see how each of the other band members find there awesome women. This story is full of pace and you delve straight into the action from the first chapter.
I love the characters of Adam and Christy, as they gel well together and the chemistry which sparks of the age makes you want to keep turning the page to see where the story takes you. There are also great secondary characters with the sense of a family with the band comes off the page and you get the feeling of care and protection from them. I have to say I could have crawled into book and punched the manager Garrett but in the end you do have a sense of sadness for him but not much, Lol.
I can’t wait to read the next book and the books before this ones, as you have made a fan of me.

• Cecily in the City is the third book in The Cecily Taylor Series. This is a YA Contemporary Romance that will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. This maybe directed more towards teen to young adults but in my opinion anyone of any age can enjoy this story. Tbis authors style of writing and her amazing characters make for a wonderful story. Her characters are well developed and very easily relatable. I felt like I could imagine every scene as if I were there. Cecily can’t imagine her life getting any better after she’s moved to the city and landed a dream position on a daytime soap opera. She’s very excited to be in the same town as her pop star boyfriend. Rumors get started shortly after she stars in another singers music video. Lots of drama behind the scenes. She just wants to be happy with Andrew. Soon she will find out life is much different in the spotlight.. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. My favourite quote from the book. “Don’t go alpha-male-diva on me.” Three Women in November is a wonderful romantic tale based on a true story. It is a very emotional and funny read and yet it is very confronting as everything is put on the line for the name of love. Jim is a brave man to turn his life into a story. I loved that the story was set in Australia. It made it seem more real as it’s easy to visualise the places. It is a unique and raw look into one man Leo and three very successful women on a search for love. It was interesting to read as it was told in the male perspective. The characters are real, complex, have heaps of baggage and make plenty of mistakes. The challenge, the pain, the joy, the drama and the humour as we follow along on this journey. Leo is a man who knows what he wants. He knows the world would not give him anything but a soul mate. Unfortunately, life is not that simplistic. The road to love is not paved with gold. I look forward to Leo’s next romantic adventure in, Kissing Scars.

This is the first book in The Sweet Valley series by S.E. Reichert. You will fall in love with all the characters especially Elle and Blake. So full of depth and raw emotion. A great love story written so beautifully, but definitely some triggers. Push threw them if you can, you won’t be disappointed.

Savage Truth is the second book in this series and directly follows book one, so this cannot be read as a standalone. This is the conclusion to Riley and Cole’s Story who we met in book one. I really enjoyed their story even if i wanted to smack them occasionally. The author pulled me in and made the main characters interesting even when they were being total wankers. There was drama, suspense and with danger just around the corner no one could relax. This was a little angsty for my taste but i enjoyed the story overall and was eager to see how some of the “who’s and what’s” questions that book one left me with. Savage Truth is the continuation of Cole and Riley’s story. The previous book ended in one heck of a cliffhanger and the angst and attraction between them is even more dramatic at the beginning of this book than it was in the first.
Cole is still trying to find a way to get both Riley and her mother out of his and his family’s lives, and Riley is trying to discover what her mother’s angle is. Is this just another con or does she really have true feelings for Cole’s father?
As Cole and Riley try to push each other to the brink, they also can’t deny the pull they feel towards one another. The attraction they feel soon starts developing into something much more, but dangerous secrets and dangerous characters are hiding in the shadows that threaten to destroy them all.
While there was a good bit of mystery in the previous book, it gets kicked several notches in Savage Truth. As the title suggests, we finally get the answers to the questions of the dark secrets Cole and Riley’s families are keeping.
This may be the final installment to Riley and Cole’s story, but the writer, Isla Vaughn, has a whole series in store for us that promises to give us other intriguing stories and characters. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Great title- plays on the “tales” versus “tails,” as Hull has 9 tales and this book is steeped in royalty and fairy tale- yes, it is a man-man romance, but at the same time, much more than that- a great story of adventure, hardship, sacrifice and finding the truth about one’s past.
Hull (the fox character) and a healer go on an adventure together to discover why they are the remaining survivors of each of their respected families. Along the way, we see a beautiful new relationship blossom and take hold. I am normally not a romance reader, so I really enjoyed the books balance between sex scenes and the adventure they go on. The third main humanoid character, female, was wonderful, as she provides logic and reasoning when both men are too caught up in love to realize. A solid 4 star read.

Savage Truth, Hidden Valley Elite Series Book 2 is a New Adult (High School) enemy-to-lovers romance. Within its pages you will find a “bully” type relationship between the two main characters, Cole and Riley, mixed in with drama, jealousy, lies, family secrets, unexpected sparks, and maybe even some true feelings of first love. Though this can be read as a standalone, I’d really recommend reading both the prequel and the first book of this series as they give you a lot of background and insight into these characters, their lives, and everything that has been going on over the last couple of years.
Much like the prequel, Savage Start and book 1, Savage Lies, I devoured this book wanting to see what if anything Riley and Cole have discovered about themselves and each other. Have they figured out how you can crave someone so deeply and loathe them at the same time? This book starts off right at the cliffhanger point where the first book ended. Savage Truth finally answers questions like: Why have Riley and her mom been running pretty much all their lives? Does Cole admit to everyone what he knows about Riley’s mom? Will Riley finally get to stay in one place for good and have a normal high school experience? Is Riley’s dad really as bad as her mom says he is? What will happen if Riley’s dad does find them? Are they really finally safe?
“Bully” type romances are not something that has ever really interested me until now. My only negative about this series is that some of the situations or things Riley thought and said seemed a little repetitive, but thinking back, that fits with her character as those are things that have been drilled into her head based on the lifestyle she and her mom have lived. I really liked seeing Cole’s softer side in the prequel before he became so hardened by life and let-downs. The characters’ emotional growth in these books was well written and I felt like I got to watch them blossom throughout this series. I have really enjoyed this whole series and can’t wait to read more from this author and find out what happens to the rest of the Elite, Cole’s brother and two cousins.

This book is another incredible addition to an already amazing series. I could not wait to pick this one up and start reading, I had to see what the author had in store. The story is just as intense and captivating as the others and I loved reading about the characters. Their chemistry was undeniable and I was pulled into their connection instantly. I knew once I started this book I wouldn’t be able to put it down because I had to see how the story would develop. This author creates fantastic stories and this one is no exception. Whenever I see a new book by her I pick it up without hesitation. I cannot recommend her books highly enough and I am already excited to see what the next one will be.

The is a shorter story that packs a punch! There is also quite a few bits of danger that show up in here. I enjoyed the book and the flow which makes it easy to read. The characters are few and they have interesting jobs. The two main personalities are just adorable when they see each other. Their chemistry is electric and I could feel that first kiss to my toes.
Overall this is an easy to read first book in a new series. Interesting characters and a suspenseful storyline make this a good book.

In Savage Truth, we continue the story of Riley and Cole. Riley is still feeling unsafe in the Savage household and her mom is pulling away. Cole, unaware of the danger Riley and Raelynn are in, still torments and pines after Riley. This was a good follow up to the 1st book in the series and picked up right where we left off. This book offers more closure into their relationship and telling us the full history of Riley’s lifestyle. While I do like romantic suspense, the teen angst in this series is a bit much. So much drama that as an adult reading gives me eye roll moments. The possessiveness of Cole was also giving me red flag moments although I feel the author was trying to add more drama into the story. Good read overall.

Stay For Me is the fifth book in the Balefire series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. It is a contemporary second chances rockstar romance, with past pain, love, loss, heartache, drama, humour, emotion, angst, plenty of chemistry, and steam. Even though this is the fifth book in the series, it could be read as a standalone if you wanted, as each book in the series focuses on a different member of the Balefire rock band. I have to be honest, I really wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy this book going in, as I wasn’t a fan of Garrett as he’d been a bit of jerk in the past (books). So, I was prepared to not like this book at all. But Ms. DeRudder Jackson surprised me and won me over through the course of the story. Ten years ago, Garret made the biggest mistake of his life. Now he has a chance for a re-do… What happens? Will Love win out in the end? No spoilers here, you really should read all the intriguing developments for yourself. Happy Reading…

This was a great 5 star read. Rowan and her family have been working on getting her inn ready for a family wedding. There is an unexpected twist that turns her world upside down in several ways. It was a heartbreaking moment, my emotions were all over the place. Chris shows up in town and his plans end up changing when he offers to help Rowan. As they work together their feelings start to build, I really enjoyed the banter between them. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I really liked all of the characters. It felt like we got more than one story. If you like romantic suspense I suggest you 1-click and get started today. This was a really good read! This author never seems to disappoint and once again I’m proven right with this book. I wasn’t expecting so much to be put in a book this short (less than 100 pages) and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with what a good story it was. The end seemed to be left open to me, so I’m hoping there’s more to come with these characters. I would love to visit them again!

What a little firecracker of a book! Only took me an hour & 20 minutes to read & omgoodness it packed a punch. Sinister Styx has truly mastered the art of ‘leave em wanting more’. Sexy & exciting & twisty & wild, I devoured this. Entirely delightful way to spice up a peaceful afternoon. Bring the sweet tea for perfect balance!
I never miss a book by this author and I’m glad to see the series continuing! I love everything about Tam DeRudder Jackson’s writing. The way she pulls you in and makes you completely forget about what’s going on around you. The world she creates encapsulates you so quickly that you don’t even realize what happened. Garrett broke Olivia’s heart years ago when he chose his career over his future love life with her. He says he has never forgotten her, but she’s not falling for it quite so easily. Fool me once! Olivia used that pain as fuel to get her name recognized as a music video director, but it’s starting to flame out. Will she give him a chance to show her what he’s made of, or has the pain of him leaving left her too devastated to try? I highly recommend picking up not only this book, but the entire Balefire series!

This is a good book with a great plot. The characters are well-developed and have growth throughout the book.
This book focuses on Natalie and Grayson. Natalie is a woman on a mission to uncover something about her late father. Grayson is one of the best architects and has built more elaborate walls around himself.
Natalie meets Grayson while working in a job that she is overqualified for while looking for answers. She’s not one of the girls in the office that gossips and waits around for Grayson to notice her. She gets her work done and is pretty persistent. Grayson is a force to be reckoned with he goes after what he wants.
What happens when a self reliant woman meets a strong-willed man? Can she break down his walls? Will he find out the secrets she tries to hide? What will happen when the truth final comes out? Read to find out.

This is the second book in the Balefire series that I have read, but it is the fifth in the series. This book is so well written and it sucks you right in. This book features Garret, who is definitely the one member of Balefire I have had a hard time warming up to. However, this time it gives some insight into his personality and demeanor. Years ago, Olivia was the one who got away. The one that he left for the band. This time he gets a second chance at love with Olivia. However, will he mess it up again or will she be too hurt from before to even let him in. I definitely recommend picking this one up to see what happens. It packs on the steam as well as showing well written characters.

This story is a brilliant dark paranormal romance that is original and refreshing to read. I was hooked from the moment I started reading and couldn’t not put it down until I had finished. This is a short story but it is packed full of action and amazing characters. I loved how the author developed the story and it is easy to see it could be followed by another. I have loved all of this authors work so far and I think this book has to be one of my favourites. I would urge everyone to read it.
This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I enjoy her writing skills that make her stories come to life and her characters pop off the pages. This book is no different. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. The characters pull you into their world with ease and keep you there until the end. They are strong, supportive characters that have great growth and chemistry. They add so much to the story. This is a fast paced, easy and entertaining romance story where Garrett and Olivia have a second chance at love. Their story is one of healing and forgiving. I found myself hoping they would get their happy ending. You don’t want to miss what happens with these two for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.
