True and Lonny first cross paths in a bar and it’s meant to be a hot, no strings attached fling. Even though she can’t get him out of her mind, she never expects to see him again. A year later, Lonny ends up working for him and the chemistry is just as intense. Neither one of them is looking for a relationship but they keep finding themselves drawn to each other. They’re both going to have to face their demons if they want to make a relationship together work. I just couldn’t set this book down once I started reading it. I just had to find out what happened next. This book is full of heat, romance, and action and it definitely made me ready to go back and read the other books in this series!

Wow is all I can say about this book. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. There were parts of the book where I wanted to punch True in the throat but, he definitely redeemed himself until I wanted to do it again lol. The 2 main characters met one night at a bar while London was away from everyone drowning her sorrows. They spent 1 week together burning up the sheets and then they went their separate ways. Now London ( Lonny ) is back and ready to get to work a year later. Her family is strange. Her Uncle and Mom did some pretty shady stuff and Lonny will not forgive her mom. Her Uncle however is someone she must work with so she has to get along with him to a point. Once Lonny is back she thinks she sees True at a liquor store but he acts like he doesn’t know or remember her. It has been a year but she thought he would remember the hottest week they shared. She finds out later that the man she was wasn’t True. It was his twin brother!! She gets a job with the twins as her bosses but she doesn’t follow orders well. True keeps her close….closer then he should. He still has feelings for her but refuses to admit it and basically uses her and then pushes her away. After reading how good this book was I wish I had read the others but now that I know what happens and who ends up together it is pointless. This really is a great book and I’ll be looking for new reads from this author in the future!

I really enjoyed this book. The FMC had a brief fling with the handsome HEA when she was going through a rough time. Neither forgot each other and cross each other’s paths about a year later. Sparks fly and boy does it get steamy! One thing I really liked about this was the real issues the couple had, both as individuals and couples, and the realistic ways they were handled. This story has some mild dominance play so if you’re not into that you may not enjoy it but if it doesn’t matter, buckle up buttercup because you’re in for a great story!! I will definitely be reading the rest of this series!

This is the first book I have read in this series. You could read it as a series or just a standalone. (I need to read this entire series because its so good.) You follow Lonny(London) as an amazing PI, but, She has been wreckless with her investigations and someone is out to get her. She takes a job as a PI with the Red Cage, this is where True pops up a year later after their steamy 7 day Colorado fling. Can Lonny keep it together for her job, even though the man she fell in love with is now her boss? This story captivates you from start to finish.

This is the 3rd book in the contemporary romance series but can be read as a standalone. I had not read any of the previous books and did not feel that I was missing any necessary information. The author does a great job of making sure you have all the information needed to understand and enjoy the story. I really enjoyed this book and would love to go back and read the first 2 books to see what I missed. I really loved reading True and London (Lonny)’s story. Having 2 children with ADHD, I loved that the author chose to have a leading character with this condition, showing some of the ways that this can affect people. True and London are both great characters that I really enjoyed reading about. London is a total kick-ass female character, full of sass and extremely feisty. The storyline was one that I really enjoyed. I was drawn into the story very quickly and was kept captivated and entertained throughout. I’d definitely recommend this book to others.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is a well written romance story that the author’s attention to details made the story feel realistic. Her writing style is such that her books are easy to read and engaging. Her characters make the story come to life. This book is no different. The characters have great chemistry and I enjoyed how supportive of each other. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout. This is a story about Levi and Kindle. Their story is one of romance, rejection and there could be more at stake than they realize. I really enjoyed their story. They made the story entertaining and hard to put down. This is a story you don’t want to miss, a great romance story. I highly recommend this book.

Wow!! I loved this story… especially since Heart is part of the Satan’s Devils MC and Marc is a cop. At first Marc is trying to help investigate a terrible accident that invoked Heart and his late wife Crystal.. but what becomes an investigation leads into a friendship of Marc and Heart but also sinister plot against Marc….along with some hot scenes between Marc and Heart but also grief, doubt and sadness with Both characters and their stories. This was a great story to listen to.

Flame and Crystal Thorns (Fae and Crystal Thorns Book 1) by Kay L. Moody – Review by Jessica Stone
This is the first book in a spin off series, but for anyone out there who thinks this book sounds interesting and wants to just dive right in, you do not have to read the prior series to read this book and I promise it its worth the read.
Exciting,…Full of Adventure and Magic This book can be read by itself or in relation to series. Chloe and her sister have finally settled into life outside of Faerie with her Fae brother and his family nearby. Chloe enjoying a mundane existence is kept busy providing remedies for the townspeople (nonmagical remedies) as an apothecary, However her life is about to be thrown into chaos. An unexpected visitor from her past appears suddenly, demanding Chloe’s return to Faire to save her older sister and all Fae. The danger comes from mortals using iron to trap the Fae in their kingdoms and their poison began affecting the human realm. Can Chloe save her sister kingdom and all of Fae kind?
I genuinely enjoyed this book, it does end in a cliffhanger, so I’m patiently awaiting the next book. I am also now going to go back and read the series before this, I have a feeling I’m going to really enjoy the previous episode series.
All and all a wonderful magical and supernatural themed book, with anything but your typical main character.

Everything to Me (Playing for Keeps Book 2) by Lauren Fraser. I am loving this series! It can be read as a standalone but I prefer to read them in order. Its the story of Kendall who goes to stay at her brothers best friend’s (Pete) house for a week while she is in town. Kendall has also had a crush on Pete since she was 12. Pete has always been a good friend because he won’t break bro code. Kendall is very much in charge and she plans to proposition Pete. She thinks she can sleep with him and get him out of her system. Pete is a real heartbreaker and wouldn’t hurt a fly especially his best friend. He is always willing to help everyone out when they need it. They are both super good people but will Pete break bro code and go for Kendall or will he continue to deny Kendall her fantasies. The chemistry is strong between these two and its such a good read!

Everything To Me by Lauren Fraser is the second book in the playing for keeps series, a best friends sister sports romance. This book can be read as a stand alone as I did. Kendall has been in love with her brothers best friend Pete for as long as she can remember but sadly he does not reciprocate her feelings. I love a woman who knows what she wants as isn’t too shy to make that clear. This book was full of laughter and love, what more could a reader want ? Ohh yes, sex, steam and chemistry. Highly recommended!!

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. That is what I did. This book has tons of steam and is a very quick easy read. I got sucked into story right away with how the female lead (Kendall) behaves. She is upfront with all the feelings. The book gives a back story so you can see the growth. I love that Kendall isn’t a push over or a needy female that can tend to happen in some sport romance books. The leading male (Pete) is a perfect example of your typical boy next door. He is kind and follows the bro code of not dating your best friends sister. This book was fast paced and I wish there was a little bit more to the romance of them falling together. I loved that the characters were able to grow throughout the story. The journey that they take feels genuine just a little lacking in verbiage. It really is an amazing book and a very simple read. I feel like I am just being picky with wanting more romance between the two of them. The steam is there and it is a “fan yourself kind of heat.” I do recommend this book for a quick little beach read, I mean if you’re already red from the sun – no one is gonna notice the lush you get while reading some of the scenes in this book. This is the sixth book in the series and is 202 pages in length. This story follows Trey and Hailey. Trey is a surgeon but also works for the mafia. He has liked Hailey from the first moment he laid eyes on her but walked away because it was not the right time. Someone kidnapped Hailey and now he will do anything to get her back. This book screams chemistry!

Slooooooooooow burn at its finest. This is the 6th installment of the Mafia Elite series and though it can be read as a stand alone, is so much more enjoyable when you’ve read the previous 5.
In this installment we have Trey La Rosa, a member of one of the Five Families, juggling his life as an ER doctor and his duties as a member of his family. When he finds himself in the middle of a ransom plot concerning the step daughter of one of the men he works with, he soon finds himself wondering if he can’t also find love.

This book had me sneaking in every second of reading I could get in. It was very hard to put down.
Luca and Salvatore are Hybrid brothers still looking to find their mate. Half angel, half vampire, they are fighting to keep humans safe from demons.
Angelina is an artist and finally has her paintings in a gallery. She is making money to live now with the one thing she loves the most doing. She lives with her best friend Cassie who is always trying to set her up on dates, much to her chagrin.
Changes are in the air for everyone involved. Good, bad, and ugly. I need book two for sure.

A Veil of Gods and Kings (Apollo Ascending Book 1) by Nicole Bailey – Review by Amanda Haller-Doris This is the first book in what I hope to be a very long series. The series is a twist on Greek Mythology and the first book focuses on a new interpretation of the relationship between Apollo the Sun God and Hyacinth. It is written from the view point of 3 of the main characters in the story, Apollo, Hyacinth, and Epiphany. At the start of the book, Apollo is still part mortal and has not ascended to become a God. He lives in the mortal realm with his younger half-sister Temi. Apollo would prefer not to ascend and take his place as the sun god, but his father Zeus’s patience is waning. Zeus gives Apollo an ultimatum, ascend now or spend a year with Prince Hyacinth learning how to be a better prince. Since Apollo would rather stay mortal longer, he begrudgingly travels to Hyacinth’s kingdom with Temi. Hyacinth or Cyn, as he is called, would rather not have a spoiled half God underfoot, but if Zeus commands it, he must follow it. The two slowly begin to work together and get to know each other on a more personal level. Gradually the relationship moves from enemies to friends, into something more. While Apollo and Cyn are trying to figure things out together, we are also seeing the view point of Cyn’s younger sister Ephiany who has started spending more time with Temi. Epiphany is soon to be on the marriage market, but she would rather make her own destiny. She and Temi become close friends who encourage each other to step outside their comfort zones and see the world with a different perspective. The author uses modern language in the book which makes it enjoyable to follow. She writes in a way that it feels like she is seamlessly bringing ancient Greece into the modern world, while still capturing the feel of ancient times. The story definitely kept me engrossed until the last page. Her interpretation of the different Gods and how they interacted flowed well. The characters are all well developed and the storyline was tightly woven. She took a well-known story and created a whole new world for the characters to live in. I can’t wait to read the following books.

I knew A Long Kiss Goodbye has a paranormal aspect, but never did I expect the route it went. The author wrote an interesting story. A story I was sucked into, I had to keep reading once I started. Once I was done, I felt like the emotions I went through, I have a love/hate relationship for this book. Avery, an ordinary woman in her late 20s, ends up in an extraordinary situation. That’s tied to the murders happening in her Arizona home. She just doesn’t understand how. Someone attacked her, cut into her chest but she’s still alive. People nearby are suffering the same fate, but aren’t surviving. The question is, why? Luys is way more than he seems. He’s hiding something and Avery doesn’t like it. Now that she knows her neighbor she’s going to push him to reveal parts of his past. It won’t be easy for either person to understand but it needs to be said. Now being the prime suspect in the murder of someone in their complex, Luys needs to figure out his next steps. It’s a case of whodunnit, with a paranormal twist. Can Luys prove his innocence? Does he turn in the real culprit, or continue to protect her? Does Avery finally see who Luys truly is? All that and so many more questions will litter your mind while reading this book. Which is exactly how the author sucks you in! Don’t believe me, check it out for yourself!

Thomson – Review by Beverly Finnie
A Long Kiss Goodbye is the second book in the Onyx & Mercury series by H.D. Thomson. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Have I not discovered this brilliant author before now????? After reading this I have to admit that I have seriously been missing out on some stellar reading for some time…. But, on the other hand I am excited to find that there is a long list of other books to this author’s name for me to devour- so I can feel a massive book-binge is in order. Limbering up my one-click finger in preparation. This is a seriously good paranormal romance with a twisty, intense, mysterious and entirely suspenseful storyline. The author writes incredibly well, and it is apparent that she is quite a talented storyteller, skilfully crafting her story with palpable tension, edge of your seat danger, unexpected developments, simmering chemistry, and superb world-building. I was so hooked on the story that I couldn’t and wouldn’t put it down. It wasn’t until I had finished and went looking to see what else I could find from this author that I discovered that this is the second book in the series. So, I am setting off on Book #1 as soon as I complete this review. Being the second book in the series didn’t impact my reading of the story in any way… I never felt like I was missing any part of the storyline or any details. It has, however, made me extremely curious to discover what happened in Book #1. So excited to be embarking on a new love affair with this author- well, her books that is lol.. I am so looking forward to my book binge with H.D. Thomson. So happy to have finally discovered her work, as my first time has proved to be one of my favourite reads of the year, so far! Happy Reading!

This fast paced, steamy paranormal romance will keep you at the edge of your seat. This book was definitely a page turner, leaving you always wanting more. Toya did an amazing job writing this book. From the steamy dreams, to the hot hot hot romance scenes, to even the action and fighting scenes. The relationship building between Angelina and her men along with the new and old friendships, you were never left unfulfilled as the reader.
I gave 4 out of 5 stars for this book, because I felt that there could have been more detail in parts of the book. I felt, especially in the beginning, time was forgotten. The story just bounced around and what seemed like a day, was actually a couple of hours in the story or vice versa. With one bad thing that happened, in the end it was a majority of a feel good book. Overall, the story was a great quick read, with an even better ending. I really look forward to reading more from this author, and cannot wait to see what comes next.

This was a great 5 star read. True, where to start with True, I loved him. He originally met London when she was living in Denver, they had a great week but it never went further than that. London has now come to L.A., she is a very good P.I. and eventually gets a job with Red Cage and True is her boss. Things take a scary twist when London gets the attention of someone very dangerous.
Will London find who is after her? Will True and London give into their attraction?
Overall this was a great read. You could feel the attraction coming off the pages between these two, loved the teasing. I really enjoyed all of the characters and how great they all got along. Loved the bantering. We get twists and turns that added a great element to the story. My emotions were all over the place. If you’re looking for a great romance that will have you on the edge of your seat this is the book for you. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Ann Cole – Review by Michelle Austin
This is the 3rd book in the Red Cage Series. This is the first book I have read and I was able to follow the story so it can be read as a standalone book. The author does an amazing job with the characters and the story. The plot is full of twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing and hooked. I love Lonny. She is a strong and determined woman who does a dangerous job. She never had time for love or romance until an encounter with a certain man that blows her mind. 7 nights they were together and he rocked her world but that is all it was. Just a fling. However Lonny can’t forget him. Now she is being hired to go undercover to capture some people who are trafficking woman. As if this wasn’t complicated enough her boss is none other than the man she can’t forget.
We are now taken on a rollercoaster of a journey as the need to work together to solve this crime. One false move and everything could go wrong and lead them into danger. But the attraction between them is so strong they may not be able to resist. Add to this the fact that both parties are hiding secrets and this is one story that will keep you hooked until the end.

I am weak for a steamy romance and The True Garza certainly packed a punch. I loved Lonny (London), and her straightforward I-do-things-my-way attitude. She doesn’t feel intimidated or inferior to any man and she is very successful at her job as a private investigator, even if she struggles at following orders. However, she will do practically anything for True Garza, who was once her week-long fling in Denver and now, a year later, is her boss when she takes a job at Red Cage in L.A. As things continually become more complicated and emotionally charged between them, their deeply imprinted flaws and events from hurtful pasts make it hard for them to be able to fully intertwine.
While there were times this story had me cringing and my eyes rolling, I loved this book and I honestly couldn’t put it down once I started. The story can be read as a standalone, but I will be going back and reading the first two books!

Wow this story had me completely drawn in and I definitely blocked out the outside world in my need to finish it in one sitting. The characters are so well written I tended to forget I was reading a story. They were so easy to connect with and they draw you into their story in a way that it’s hard to leave them when the end of the story comes but you love your time with them all the same. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. I’d give it more stars if I could but five will have to do! Go one click it trust me you won’t regret it! Highly recommended!

This is the third book in this series which can be read as a standalone. This is my first book in this series which I look forward to reading the previous books as well. I enjoyed reading this story. I enjoyed how the author used details to bring the story to life and make it pop. I was pulled into the story from the start. They are creative, supportive and connectable. I enjoyed what they brought to the story. This is a fast paced story where these two people meet in a bar and are pulled together by seven steamy nights. Then he disappears only to pop back up as her new boss. What happens next with these characters you don’t want to miss. They have great growth throughout. They made the story entertaining to read and I really enjoyed it. This is a story that seems dark in places which just added to the story. I highly recommend this book.

Levi is just an grown up manchild. His dad calls him out and cuts off his funds. Time to get a job and be a man. After getting an STD, Levi has to depend on his law career, he goes into his dad’s firm. Miss Kindle James is his supervisor. It turns out she’s the hotty out who’s not into him and has no qualms telling him off. I loved this story. The chemistry is there. The sparks are so hot that you could start a fire. Dad is a little overbearing. His friends are awesome. All the hard-time giving and wives teasing him was so entertaining as I watched him grow up. Kindle was just as into him as he was for her. She just wasn’t giving up her career goals. The plot was well-developed. Levi matured as we got to watch him develop into a real man who realized what he wanted and went for it. Now, the crazy roommate, that was insane. I’d have run her over. Stalk much, she was nuts. Plot twist at the end was excellent, didn’t see that. This author writes really great romance. So realistic and feels like they could be twisted right from today’s love lines. The characters felt real. I loved Mom with dropping hints for a shopping buddy. I loved everything about this story. Well done! You must read this.

I enjoyed this suspenseful story. This is a new author for me which I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the start. The level of suspense kept growing throughout the story. The author’s use of details made the story realistic. I found the characters to be connectable as well as engaging. This is a fast paced story that is full of action. A story where two people find themselves in danger from drug cartels and corrupted law enforcement. You don’t want to miss what happens next. A great story that was hard to put down. It is a fun and entertaining story that I highly recommend. You don’t want to miss these twists and turns.
I love a good sports romance and this one absolutely hit the spot! Kendall was an amazing female protagonist and a very powerful woman. Pete was hot and sweet. A textbook example of a book boyfriend if there ever was one. I loved that Kendall didn’t hide her intentions and that there wasn’t a lot of monologuing and pining. Sometimes you just want to get to the action! Overall I would say this is a solid sports romance, perfect for fans of Elle Kennedy and Lyssa Kay Adams! I’ll definitely be checking out other books by this author!

This was a great 5 star read. Hailey had originally met Trey at a dinner party but something caused him to walk away. We jump ahead and Hailey finds herself in a dangerous predicament. Trey is hired by her step father to find her after she has been taken. Trey finds Hailey and brings her to his home, there is something off about the whole situation and he refuses to let her leave until he figures it out. Having Hailey in his home is making his feelings stir again, there is something about Hailey that is different. The longer they are together the closer they become.
Will Trey be able to help Hailey? Will Trey drop his walls and let Hailey in?
Overall this was a great read. There are several unexpected twists and turns. I loved her best friend but he also got on my list for ghosting her at times. All of the wives were great, I loved how quickly they brought Hailey into their circle. There is so much more to this read. If you’re looking for a great read I highly suggest this series. This book can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the beginning so that you can get to know all of the family. 1- click and get started today.

Oh what a story! I don’t know how this author does it – every single story she writes is just amazing, nothing is repeated, no two characters are the same and they are always amazing reads! Trey and Hailey’s story was just fantastic from start to finish – it had everything I’ve come to expect from this talented author and more. I’ve been waiting for Trey’s story for a while and it didn’t disappoint. I loved the chemistry between him and Hailey – after everything he’d been through he definitely deserved his happy ever after. I say this a lot but I definitely feel like this one if one of my favourites from this author so far and definitely my favourite form this series! I am really looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was an OK book for me. Was it my favorite in the series? No. But I still like it. This was a second chance mafia romance that was sweet as well. You can read this book as a stand-alone, or as part of the series. You should give this book a try and see how you like it.
