Deacon Saint is back home for a funeral after 10 years. Nothing is going how he thought it would. His mom has Alzheimer’s, he just lost one of his best friends, and he has a life changing job that he must decide if he will take. Now she has run into his long lost love Olivia Bane. Can they both get past their past? Are there still feelings or is it too late? This was such a great book. So well written and the characters were just awesome! If you have never read a MC book, I would highly recommend it!

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series Book 1)Deacon by CJ Warrant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A thoroughly enjoyable second chance at love romance which had me hooked from start to finish. When Deacon Saint returns to his hometown, Alama, Tennessee, having left ten years before to start his MotoGP racing career, he knew things could get difficult. After all, he’s mourning the tragic loss of his best friend, leaving behind his racing career, and dealing with his mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. However, he did not expect to come face to face with the girl he’s always loved and who broke his heart, Olivia Bane. Meanwhile, Olivia was enjoying her perfect life, working as a nurse, having a group of great friends and a boyfriend who’s a doctor, and then Deacon returns and her life turns chaotic.
Suddenly, her boyfriend turns out to be a monster, she’s at risk of loosing her job, and worse of all, she’s at risk of falling in love with the person who previously broke her heart, Deacon. Deacon will need more than his, ‘good old Southern country charm’ if he’s to win her back! I loved the main characters, independent Olivia and, ‘smooth talkin’’ Deacon, and although their past has made them wary of one another, which comes across in the narrative, their chemistry also sizzled off the page. I felt immersed in the storyline, which had plenty of plot twists to keep me happily turning the pages, and I was hoping the couple would get their HEA. An entertaining and engaging read, which I recommend.

There is many trigger in this book as it haz some dark points. Running into a former lover is harder enough add in death. A great read.

And again another fantastic 5 star read from this author! I loved Marvel and Virginia’s story the way they met was just so unique and different to any of the other stories this author has written. They had a connection born from being in a situation that only each other could understand. I loved reading about how their relationship progressed, it was clear that they were meant for each other but with a few bumps along the way. This is the fourth book in this series and possibly my favourite so far! I am very excited to read more from this author as always.

I absolutely loved this book and what an introduction it was to a new author! I was hooked from the very first page. The writing was exciting and so easy to read. I loved Deacon and Olivia, both of their past gave them reason to resent each other, they both held painful memories. There were some really emotional parts to the story and I really was wrapped up in Deacon and Olivia’s story and I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through. The author did an amazing job with this story and I am really looking forward to reading more from them in the future.

Enemies to lovers in a big way. Deacon comes home after a long stint away, for a funeral no less. He bumps into Olivia and those old sparks fly. This story had the best and the worst of the characters. They were so detailed and in depth you really get a great sense of who they are. Both the characters and the story line are a driving force to this novel and truly make it one story you won’t be able to put down!

This is a great second chance romance/enemies to lovers contemporary romance novel that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I had never read any of this author’s work previously but was very intrigued by the blurb and decided to give it a chance. I’m so glad that I did. If this book is anything to go by then I’m going to read more of this author’s work. I’m already excited to read the next instalment as Kyle is made out to be an unsavoury character, so I’m wondering how his story will go.
Getting back to this book, I adored Deacon and Olivia. Both are amazing characters that I could really relate to. This book just oozed angst and I’m a sucker for an angsty book. These two just needed to give into their feelings. But then the story would be over too soon and we wouldn’t get this emotional read that had me gripped from beginning to end.
There is a great storyline running alongside the romance. Set in the motorbiking world there is a lot of drama, danger and intrigue to keep you engrossed and very entertained.
I loved the closeness and camaraderie between Deacon and his group of friends ‘the disciples’ and can’t wait to find out more about these guys as the series continues.

A Bad Boy, Doctor, and Southern Belle walk in a bar….

Well maybe not into a bar. Deacon Saint has been gone for 10 years and so much has changed. His family, friends, and love of his life are all grown up and moved on… So he thought.

Olivia Bane…. She definitely didn’t think she’d see Deacon again.. especially at one of his best friends funerals… But.. there he was.. Just as perfect as she remembered… What would her boyfriend think of this…

Dr. Martin is an outstanding Doctor… but is that all he uses his hands for?

If I could give this book more then 5 stars I definitely would! I LOVE the multi POV between the two main characters. The plot and the way everything ran together was AMAZING! It was sweet, sultry, real, emotional story will have you laughing, crying, and yelling all o the same page! I would definitely recommend this book to everyone to read!

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series Book 1)Deacon by CJ Warrant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first MC romance book and boy did the author deliver! I absolutely loved that there was more than just *spicy* romance. You really get to know the characters, especially Deacon and Olivia, and the good, bad, and ugly of them. This was an amazing way to start off the series and I cannot wait for the next book! I’m totally hooked!
Deacon Saint comes home after being away for 10 year for a funeral he doesn’t want to attend. While grappling with his feelings over losing one of his best friends, finding out his mother has Alzheimer’s, and a life-changing job decision, Deacon runs into Olivia Bane, the former love of his life. He still hasn’t forgiven her for what she did 10 years ago and she hasn’t forgiven him either. Still reeling from the loss of her father, Olivia doesn’t want to deal with Deacon, but she has too…per her father’s will. There’s definitely more to the story with these two and there’s no denying the fireworks and electricity between them. But there are trials and tribulations that they have to overcome together and on their own. Deacon and Olivia’s story is full of twists and turns, but well worth it! C.J. Warrant definitely knows how to hook her readers in and keep them coming back for more!

When I tell you I connect so well with this character! This series is going to ruin me.
I thought the first book was good and I lied this was amazing it’s pulling at my heart strings.
Feeling the weight of life, how can Our MC prove to the only family he has ever had that He is worth the trouble? Or maybe the truth is he’s not! It all depends on how much The Grimm Wolves MC are willing to put up with by one of their newest prospects.
I understand the yearn for acceptance and this series isn’t just amazingly written each one highlights a moral and life lesson.
Foster care is dramatic & traumatizing (from experience) and it can shape you or break you.
This book shows the evolution of an empath and the irony of feeling all others emotions while you struggle with yours.
Ugh it’s beautiful.
I will give this every star if I could!

As with everything in Francis’ life there is good and bad.
Will Francis, Grace and Damien be able to overcome their problems for a happily ever after or will fate once again cause chaos for them?
This was excitingly good.
The gripping hold that it has from the very beginning with a conclusion that has you ready for book 2.
An empath living a double like ….sexy firefighter and tough nomad.
This will have you screaming with joy and full of wonder.
Only time will tell us what destiny has in store for these amazing characters.
This was a different read then I’m use to but worth every page.

What a ride! Wow this story is filled with action, action, action and suspense. I loved it and could hardly put it down! It starts off with a bang and lets me get to know the Disciples, which I loved. This made me feel for each of the characters….even Randy.

The secondary characters are just as fun and interesting as the main ones. It seems everyone has a secret and ten years is too long to be gone and expect everything to be the same. I enjoy all the secrets as they unravel..so fun trying to figure them out beforehand.

This book is extremely well written. The story flows quickly and smoothly. The characters are memorable and relatable. I do have a ton of notes on every character as they all have numerous quirks, loves and ideals. I can not wait for more from this author or this series!

PS. I did keep a list of Randy’s Rules

This is such a beautiful sci-fi romance. I really enjoyed this book! It’s the perfect mix of sci-fi, action and sweet romance and heat. Arkon and Vanessa feel an immediate pull to each other but Vanessa has been hurt so badly in the past that she shys away. It doesn’t take long for Arkon to start to wriggle around the walls she has in place and he begins to warm her heart. They both have to face the demons of their past and open up and trust each other if they want to have a chance of making their budding romance last. I really loved the ending of this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series) by C.J. Warrant is the first book that I have read by this talented author, and I can honestly say that after this reading experience, it won’t be the last book of hers that I will gladly devour.
I wasn’t sure of what to expect going into the story, but the premise sounded right up my alley- cos who doesn’t love second chances, emotion, and angstiness. I happily dove right in and got swept up in all the developments.
Deacon and Olivia have history, painful history, with both holding on to hurt from their past. When Deacon returns to his hometown for a friend’s funeral, things take a complicated turn when he comes face to face with Olivia, whom he blames for his broken heart. Olivia thought her life was pretty well perfect before her it all began to spin out of control. Seeing Deacon again complicates things even more. What happens you ask? Well, you will really need to read all the intriguing and emotional developments or yourself. I am sure you won’t be disappointed.
Now I can’t wait to explore more of C.J. Warrants work!

Thank you, C.J. Warrant!

If you love Sons of Anarchy this book is for you. Be warned this does have mature content including abuse.
This is my first book by this author and CJ Warrant did not disappoint with the first book in the Saint vs Sinners Series. The male MC Deacon gives all the best Jax Teller vibes and Olivia the female MC is defiantly a bad ass in her own right.
Deacon left the town of Alama and Olivia, his first and only love, years ago to pursue his dream of MotoGP racing. After losing his racing career A tragic death brings him home to the woman he loved but lost years ago and the friends he never realized how much he needed. Deacon and Olivia both have to figure out how to move forward in their lives while attempting to solve some mysteries along the way.
Once I picked it up, I wasn’t able to put it down and defiantly found myself reading this early in to the morning. It is a happy ending but does leave a lot of unanswered questions that already have me craving the next instalment.

Lord have mercy was this a real page turner. I loved that this was more than a romance story. The author gave you mystery, tragedy, humor and romance all rolled into one.

I thought it was pretty cool that Deacon and Olivia come from a small town where everyone knows everyone. I love that they grew up together and were really good friends that fell in love.

  1. The author did a phenomenal job keeping you guessing whether or not that love they felt for each other, all these years, is enough to get past the hurt they have both endured.View all my reviews

Before 1 of these books I never knew I was a MC fan… but boy have I been pulled into MC world forever.

Marvel is a character we’ve wanted to get to know but has been on the fringes of the story, strong feelings about women never going to take an old lady and obviously hurt deeply and strongly effected.

Then as typical for these books in the series along comes Virgina and she completely blows out the walls that Marvel has built and he desperately wants to protect her from everything that’s happening.

Again another Satan’s Devils 5 star story by this author and I’m forever going to be a MC fan….

Until There Was You is a take on the fairy tale romance. Regan does not believe in the fairy tales she was fed as a child. She is ready to move on with her life and start over. Jeremy is trying to prove himself and does not need a distraction in his life like Regan. Will the two find their fairy tale?
I enjoyed this story and the challenges that come across the pair. There was a good tension between the two of them, which added to the story. The story is a fast-paced read and left me wanting more. I enjoyed that there was a realness to the story and characters. So many times, romance stories end up being too much fiction. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Deacon (Saints vs Sinners Series) by CJ Warrant. This is a great start to a series! I can’t wait to read the next book. This is the story of Deacon who left his home town to become a professional race car driver. He returns home beat and battered and broken hearted because he’s here to attend his best friends funeral. His mom has also been diagnosed with Alzheimers. Olivia returns home for the same friends funeral after leaving town to become a successful nurse in Nashville and she also has a pediatric doctor as her boyfriend. So when Olivia returns home and knows she is going to see Deacon the man who broke her heart before she left town she is kind of excited to see him and rub in his face all she has going for her. As Deacon and Olivia spend more time together they begin to realize that those feelings are still there and maybe Olivia’s not as happy as she thinks she is. Will they be able to forget the past and move on together? Read Deacon to find out!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 5th book in the Grimm Wolves series. I would definately recommend reading the series from the beginning as all the characters are linked and the stories are just so good. Again the author has done an amazing job with this story. The authors writing is gripping and the pictures that are portrayed gives the reader a sense of being there. This story is quite dark because of Chain’s story but it is so worth reading.

Chains is the enforcer of the club. He is a hard man which he has to be to do his job. However there is a side to Chains that no one knows. And it’s a side that he wants to keep hidden. However that side of his life is no threatening to be exposed but who is responsible. Is it the rival MC club that is currently making trouble for them or is it someone else? Someone from Chain’s dark and traumatic past.

This story is fast paced and action packed and yet again we get a good insight into a main player of the Grimm Wolves MC. This story is hard to read in places especially about Chain’s past and childhood but it helps you understand what makes him the man he is today.

This book took no effort to get sucked into and not want to put down until you were done. This is the first book by this author that I have read, and the first book for this series, and I look forward to the rest of them.

This was a little outside my normal reading, as I don’t usually read things with biker clubs and motorcycles and that sort of thing, but I was still able to stay engaged and interested in the storyline. There are some tough topics touched on in this book, from death to health issues, to violence and mentions of sexual assault. These were not enough to detract from the book or plot overall.

The Authors writing style flows so smoothly, along with their characters and storyline, I read the majority of the book in one sitting. First being in a terrible accident, finding out your friend died so going back to his hometown for the funeral and then getting attacked at the funeral while going through all of the mixed emotions is a stressful time. This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I was hooked. The wording and how the story is told was just inviting. In this next book of the series Luc is brought into the fold and offered his rightful position as a family boss and Summer, a temporary employee of his new company, is dragged along with him. She is running from danger created by the impulsive actions of another. Ending up with hanging out with a Mafia family while running from another is definitely not what she planned. She soon finds out however, there is so much more in common between her and Luc than she thought possible and that together they both may have just found the one place they truly fit in.
This author always keeps me on the edge of my seat while reading this series. Her talent for creating tough but heartfelt characters is truly amazing. I feel that this 5th book can be read as a stand alone but I HIGHLY recommend reading the other books of the series not only because they are fantastic but also because it will give you more insight into the storyline and other characters.
