Perfect Always
By Tricia Copeland
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Perfect Always by Tricia Copeland. It is a story that once I started, I was hooked. I love the character of Chloe. She is an intelligent, strong, and independent young woman who has dreams that she is trying to make come true. She has a high-school sweetheart, Adam. Theirs is a long-distance relationship. Then there is Isaac. A basketball player who catches Chloe’s eye and heart. What does the future hold for Chloe? Who will she find true happiness with? Will all of her dreams come true? Read this book to find out. Chloe is a character that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. I wanted her to find happiness. She is a character that I was rooting for her to succeed in all that she does. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. The author does an amazing job of making both the storyline and the characters come alive on the pages. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that is entertaining and you won’t want to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

Rookie Moves: A Quick Snap Novella by Tarrah Anders – Review by Karyn Taylor

Rookie MovesRookie Moves by Tarrah Anders
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rookie Moves: A Quick Snap Novella by Tarrah Anders is part of Kristen Proby’s With Me In Seattle Universe. At only 99 pages it’s a great quick read that I devoured in just over an hour. I have previously read, and enjoyed, other books by Tarrah Anders and I love a sports star romance so was looking forward to reading Rookie Moves. Although it was over too quickly, I really did enjoy this novella.
Grant Toolson is the bad boy rookie at Seattle and needs to get his bad boy behaviour under control. While attending events to give him a better profile he meets the Mayors daughter, Emily Masterson. Let’s just say that Emily is not the prim and proper girl that she has to portray herself as. Will she lead Grant into even more trouble?
I loved the camaraderie between Grant and Emily. I loved reading the escapades that the two of them got up to and there was usually some danger involved.
Even in such a short book, the path to true love never runs smooth and Grant and Emily find out some disturbing news which could being their budding relationship to a quick end. Will their feelings for each other be enough to keep them together? Have a read and find out. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

This is my fourth read by this author and so far I think this is my favorite. It was predictable yet enjoyable getting to the final pages. I loved the concept of this book and loved that I smiled and laughed almost all the way through. I loved the family aspect, Penny’s sisters were so much fun and their bonds strong, and I loved their names. Geo’s bond with his sister and nephew touched my heart through the whole book.

There was just enough history given between Penny and Geo to be able to understand where each was coming from in their feelings for each other. The different avenues they went on for their stories were each a lot of fun to watch and a few quite funny!

This was a one sitting read for me and I sincerely enjoyed every second of it. I loved both of these characters and couldn’t wait to see how it all ended.

It was awesome and I loved it!! Highly recommend!

True Bastard (A Dark Sparrow Novel #4)True Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

True Bastard by India Kells is the fourth book in A Dark Sparrow Novel series. The series focuses on a different couple in each book. These can be read as standalone books, but I really have enjoyed reading them in order because they build upon each other. These books are fun and exciting to read. Liam and Catriona are fascinating to read about. The contrast between the two characters is so good and really made me enjoy their story even more. This story is not a straight romance but also contains action, thrills, and twists. I have enjoyed the books in this series as well as others by this author and this one did not disappoint. I look forward to reading more by India Kells in the future.

Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly – Review by Liz Vrchota

Finding His ZenFinding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I can always count on Tammy Mannersly for a strong feel good romance when I pick up one of her novels. Finding His Zen did not stray from this and was a fabulous rainy day read for me. I really love how she brings to life the small town and characters, making you feel as if you have gone a vacation to a quaint sleepy town. In this one we get to meet Zen and Seb, and I have to say these two had such a cute chemistry that is was fun to read and I found myself cheering for them the whole way through. Zen has agreed to help Seb with a celebration but what the two don’t expect is the feels to be so strong between them. These two have a perfect push-pull and the way they come together doesn’t feel contrived or over the top it is quite perfect and believable. I really enjoyed this one and I am so excited to see what we get next from Mannersly!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance by K.G. Fletcher is the fourth book in the Reigning Hearts series. These are fun, romantic books which are standalone and can be read alone or in any order. This story focuses on Nicky and Reid. The two characters seem destined to be once they meet, but will destiny work in their favor? I really enjoy the differences in their characters and how the story develops around them. I always enjoy books by this author and this is without exception. I enjoy that the story isn’t a perfect relationship and that there are highs and lows. Much more realistic to read that the perfect romance. I look forward to reading much more from this author in the future.

I’ll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Kayla Interdonato

I'll See You Again (Reigning Hearts, #4)I’ll See You Again by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ll See You Again is the fourth book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. This is the second story I’ve read in this series and I love how they truly are standalone novels. I’ll See You Again is a typical opposites-attract heartwarming novel. Nicky is a wedding planner who wants nothing but to find her own true love. Reid Macpherson, or Mac, is a famous Scottish musician who sweeps Nicky off her feet. Things seem to be going well for them, Mac even invites Nicky to travel with him, but then Nicky finds herself in some hot water. Her worst fear, even more so than having her name in the headlines, is losing Mac. Mac is worried that without Nicky his music will severely suffer. My heart couldn’t help but ache for these two, they had just found their true loves and their worlds come crumbling down. The author does a wonderful job grabbing me from the very beginning. She also does a great job with her characters and finding a wonderful way of making two completely different people perfect for each other. The connection between Nicky and Mac was just instant but so natural. I highly recommend reading this and any of the other books in this series.

Secure Again (Chase Security Series #2) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Karyn Taylor

Secure Again (Chase Security Series Book 2)Secure Again by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secure Again is the 2nd book in the fantastic Chase Security series by R.L. Dunn. Dunn was new to me when I started reading this series but I’m sure I will continue to read their work as this series has been excellent so far. Each of the books in this series can be read as a standalone but I would advise starting from the first book and reading them all in order. This is more relevant when reading the third book (which I’ve just started) as there is some mention of what had gone on before in book 2, I also advise this purely as this is a fantastic series and I think that others would have a great deal of enjoyment from reading all of the books.
At just under 500 pages this is quite a long book but it is fast paced and very action packed and will have you totally engrossed and not want to put this book down. There is so much danger, mystery and intrigue that totally grabs you from the get do and just doesn’t let you go.
I absolutely adored the 2 main characters in this book, Martin and Elizabeth, and was totally invested in their story. This is a second chance romance for them and they totally deserve a HEA but the author does not let this come easily for them. They are both really put through the mill on the way.
I only have 1 thing about this book that is a very slight negative. There is a very large cast of characters and I found myself at times struggling to remember who were the ‘good guys’ and who were the ‘bad guys’. It’s a very minor issue and certainly did not reduce my enjoyment of this book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great adventure from the first page. It is number 4 in the Dark Sparrow Series. I loved this story and was gripped from the very beginning.

Liam is one of the brothers who is on a mission to bring down his evil father. Along with his brothers they are looking for a way to destroy him before he destroys them. When Liam gets a hold of his fathers finances they need an expert to help them with it.

A mutual friend recommends a expert called Catriona. Catriona is a wizard with figures and can find a trail anywhere but what makes her different is she is training to become a nun.

When Liam and Catriona meet there is an instant spark but Liam doesn’t want her to turn her back on her path or force her to do that so he keeps his distance and pushes her away.

Can the angel and the man covered in sin be together? Can they work together to bring his father down or will they end up only destroying themselves.

The Body Collector (Bad Boys of Space Book 3)The Body Collector by Landra Graf
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Body Collector (Bad Boys of Space Book 3) by Landra Graf is a fast-paced shorter story that Landra has done a good job with the plot and the world building as well as the characterisation. I didn’t really know what to expect as I make a habit of not reading the blurb beforehand as I like to be surprised and let me tell you surprised, I was, but in a good way. With action and mystery, drama and suspense, danger and passion and let’s not forget the oozing chemistry.

A conspiracy, a wanted woman, danger and a fight to find the real perpetrator.

Rescued by Valan (The Pirates of Barra: Highland Raiders) by Jennifer Siddoway an original action adventure romance story. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rookie Moves (Quick Snap) by Tarrah Anders is a very entertaining sports romance- with all the right moves and plays to keep me flipping the pages to find out how everything turns out in the end.
Grant Toolson is a Rookie for the SPFT, he’s supposed to keep his head in the game- but he’s been gaining a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons. Now he needs to clean up his act- or he’ll be forced off the team. He’s definitely got a lot of work to do. What happens next makes for a great read!
This story is part of Kristen Proby’s ‘With Me In Seattle’ universe. After reading this I am intrigued enough to want to explore the other books in that universe, too.
Rookie Moves is a really quick and easy read of under 100pages- a story you can easily read in one sitting, during a lunch break, or just before bed.
I always enjoy Ms. Anders stories and this book was no exception. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Thank you, Ms. Anders!

Nicky finally has her story with a little help from her friend Amber. What girl hasn’t dreamt of meeting a hot musician? I can remember quiet a few I dreamt about over the years.

Mac had me wrapped around his finger fairly early on and it only got worse (for me) as I read further.

I loved this story and the series. I’m not ready to say bye so I’m really hoping Amber gets to tell her story.

Was a great 5 star read. This was a great historical romance, I was pulled right in by the authors writing.

Lady Bridget has an arranged marriage and is on her way to go through with the wedding, when her ship is overtaken by pirates. When she meets Valan there are instant sparks. Will the hot pirate interfere with her plans?

Valan is a new captain of the MacNeil clan, so getting a big treasure would be great. What he didn’t expect to find was a woman that he finds himself very attracted to.

We get so much in this great read, action, danger, romance, and so much more. I really liked both characters very much. They were perfect for each other. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing, you feel like you are right there with the characters. This can be read as a standalone. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great pirate romance this is the book for you, 1-click and get started today.

I loved reading the book Rock Star on the Verge (Rogue Series Book 9) by Lara Ward Cosio. Once I read the last page all I could say is “WoW!” It is a story that pulls you in from the beginning and then I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Conor Quinn as well as the son of Martin Whelan. The journey that they take could easily be a disaster. What happens on the journey? Read this book to find. This is a story that finds two souls on a journey that is an emotional one. While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I highly suggest that the series be read in order. The characters are brought forward from one book to the next and I loved that I got to find out how their lives have progressed. I have loved this series since the very first book and highly recommend it. The author has an amazing way of making the storyline and the characters come alive. Shattered: Rhodes Family Book 1 by Lisa Wood – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur

ShatteredShattered by Lisa Wood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a book for the over 18’s only due to scenes of an adult nature.

This is the story of Olivia and Gabe. Olivia is a 26 year old graduate from law school who is sure she knows where her life is heading, until she is placed in a predicament where she has to give it all up, move to a new city and find a new job with only the clothes on her back and in two suitcases. Gabe is a senior partner in his father’s law firm with an eye for the ladies and an arrogant, playboy attitude.

We begin with Olivia as she leaves her old life behind to start a new one in the first place she points to on the map. This just happens to be New York City, so she packs her bags, gets in her car and drives there, she is in pain and disbelief, as to what she just walked in on and this is the reason she has to leave.

Next we meet Gabe, he is conducting interviews for a new junior partner for his father’s law firm, he is unimpressed by the candidates so far and after 4 of them, he needs to see how many more he has to deal with. He is unimpressed to find that there are still four more, that is until he sees a beautiful woman waiting to be seen and is completely shocked by the effect she has on him. He eventually makes his way through three more run of the mill candidates and finally calls her in.

It is at this moment that Gabe shakes Olivia’s hand and she is taken aback at the reaction she has to him as well. She is honest, straight forward and a breath of fresh air after all the others he had to put up with today, as she continues with the interview, he realises that his thoughts earlier were correct and that she was the perfect person for the position and so makes her an offer that she can’t refuse, but not something that he should be offering in the first place because his offer is a complete lie, apart from the job.

Gabe has to make a few calls which go over well, although he is seriously risking a lot for her, he can’t help it, as unbelievable as it is to those he speaks to.

What will the future hold for these two complete opposites? Will the lies and secrecy rip them apart or bring them closer together? Only time and experience will tell.

The Body Collector by Landra Graf is the third book in the Bad Boys of Space series. This can be read and enjoyed as a standalone story. The story focuses on Big Al and Loyda. The two of them are in opposite parts of society but happen upon one another. Can one possibly be able to help the other? I enjoyed the characters and the space setting. It gives the story a bit of unrealness but still grounded in a futuristic reality. This story is a quick read and has action, adventure, twists, turns, and romance. There is something for almost everyone who wants to get away for a bit. I see this series as getaways from the seriousness of life. Don’t we all need that this year? I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This book is only for those over 18.

Thomas, Hunter and Olivia have been friends for years, since their early school years in fact, but one night seven years ago, well, too much tequila and not enough talking led to something only one of them regretted and that night tore them apart.

In the present, Hunter wants to make amends, he wants nothing more than to have his two best friends back, they are all senior partners in Ava’s father’s law firm, but for seven years, they have only spoken in a professional capacity and even then, nowhere near as much as they used to. He misses them and what they shared all those long years ago and so he writes a letter to each and prays that they can forgive him for what he did and what he plans to do if they can’t.

In each letter he explains that the box attached is an explanation as to why what happened happened, what his life has been like since and how much he regrets the situation. He delivers the boxes to Thomas and Ava and waits to see what will happen next.

How will Thomas and Ava react to the packages and letters which Hunter has written and what will the two of them think? What will the future hold for them all?

This was a fun, interesting book. It reminds me a bit of Grey’s Anatomy but with ghosts. There is so much going on here. Morgan almost dies, and she is still coping with this. Then there is her job and the friends and coworkers who are her family. Oh, and let us not forget that now she can see and talk to ghosts! This book has many angles, but it is so cohesive and makes for a wonderful story. I really enjoyed this book and loved Morgan. It was so interesting seeing how she deals with everything. She feels so real and tackles things like most people would. Morgan is a very strong character and someone to look up to. The secondary characters, both living and ghosts are wonderful and really make this book exceptional. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and see just where it leads.

If you are a fan of strong female characters, wonderful friendships, and ghosts, this book is for you.
