Feisty Heroines Romance Collection of Shorts: Paranormal-Contemporary-Fantasy-Historical Anthology
4 Stars!!!!

I really love getting a nice variety of authors and genre types in one book. This is a great collection of short stories. I am really looking forward to reading the ones I have not yet to read. There is something to be said about anthologies as you can get a wide rage of authors and a lot of different stories and not have to put down the book.

My favourite of what I have read is Good Bones by Maggie Adams. This is such a nice contemporary romance. I loved how the author was able to use the main characters pasts to highlight what will become their future. I also like how it was not a love at first sight type story but rather a hate to love story. I find that the author really brought the characters to life and that it was not predictable which is always a bonus. I was so glad that Griffin and Casey were able to come together. It was really quite a sweet short read and I really look forward to reading more from this author in future.

Love Comes in the Mourning
By Erin Bevan
5 out of 5 stars

The story Love Comes in the Mourning by Erin Bevan is a book that I loved reading. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a romance story that touched my heart and I have to say that I went through quite a bit of tissue while reading it. It had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. It is also a book that had both wondering what was going to happen next and falling in love with the characters of Lesley DeLoach and John Hambrice. Lesley is going to the estate that her great aunt left her, Rosalynn Manor. She is determined to make a new life for herself and stand on her own. Then she meets John. John is a widower who is trying to keep his company afloat and take care of his children. While he knows he would like the job restoring Rosalyn Manor he is not so sure working for someone from the city would be a good idea. He has problems with those from the city in the past. Then he meets Lesley. There is an attraction between John and Lesley that can’t be denied. With John having lost his wife and Lesley recently divorced are they ready for a relationship? Will they take a second chance at love? What does their future hold? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about John and Lesley with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. The story takes place in a small town whose residents all know each other and care about one another. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced and loved reading about their part in the story. The author has created unforgettable characters and a storyline that has you hooked from the start. I would highly recommend reading it.

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the fifth book of the Spicetopia series. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately and I could not stop until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this spicy book.

Makenna Oakley is going to be getting married soon. Her maiden of honor decided they are going to take a girl trip to Spicetopia. Makenna has never done something so daring before. She is then forced into a scavenger hunt around the park with a very handsome man Ty. As she gets to know Ty she feels something she has never felt before. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars!

And it continues. This is book 5 out of the series, it can be read as a standalone but I would HIGHLY recommend that you read all of them in order. This series has been fantastic so far and book number 5 is no different. You would think, how many more books can be made around this theme park, and what other stories can be made, but each time I move on to the next one and my mind is blown and I get excited for what this author will come up with next.
I really enjoy how each book has a different theme that goes along with each couple. In this book is Makenna and Ty, bride and groom to be… but not to each other. They both happen to have their bachelor and bachelorette parties at Spicetopia, and so it begins. Ty and Makenna are wonderful together, their respective spouses to be, do not match up with either of them. It kind of stinks that both of their respective partners are getting dumped before the wedding but when it is meant to be, it’s meant to be. The interactions between the main characters is everything you could ask for in a book, steamy, funny, romantic, etc. The secondary characters such as Ty and Makenna’s friends are fun, and made the story that much more enjoyable. I can’t wait to see if there will be a book 6!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander is the fifth book in the Spicetopia series. These can be read in any order but I recommend in the order they’ve been written. The stories focus on a different couple each time, but there are characters which overlap into other books. This book is about a bachelor and a bachelorette party which both are Spicetopia. I honestly did not know where the story would go exactly but ended up liking this book a lot. The bride to be Makenna and the separate groom to be Ty are in Spicetopia for a last hurrah. Will they both find a weekend of fun? This is a quick but fun read and kept me entertained. I always enjoy books by Phoebe Alexander for a nice getaway and look forward to reading more from her in the future.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book. It is full of action and fantasy. This is a new author for me and I can’t wait to read more from her. I enjoyed being pulled in right from the first page. It is a fast paced story that is engaging and I found it very easy to read. The characters are connectable and this author’s attention to details made me feel as if I was part of the story. They are a strong group and supportive of each other. This is book two, I highly suggest reading book one to help you know where the characters have been and going forward. I enjoyed how the story builds; it makes you turn pages fast and want more. In this story Arizona and Dace are against each other. Will Dace let go of the past and what does the future have instore for Arizonna? Will she have to sacrifice her heart for those she loves? I highly recommend this book.

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5)Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dares & Dice is the 5th book in the fantastic Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. I have become a huge fan of Phoebe Alexander’s writing over the last 2 years and have particularly loved the Spicetopia series so far. Having now read this 5th book, I can say that this has been my favourite book in the series so far.
In this book Ty is visiting Spicetopia with a group of friends for his bachelor party and at the same time as Makenna is there for her bachelorette party with her group of friends. When the 2 groups are asked to take part in a trial for a scavenger hunt, they pair off 1 girl with 1 guy. Bride and groom Makenna and Ty are paired together to complete the scavenger hunt.
I absolutely adored this book. The activities that the couples take part in are hilarious in parts. So much thought and creativity must have gone into the writing of the scavenger hunt. This book is particularly fast paced as the pair go from activity to activity.
I loved the sexual tension that builds up between the two of them as they spend more time together in this very sexualized environment. As they spend more time together both realise that they are not happy with the person that they are due to marry and start to imagine what it would be like to be with each other instead.
I love that Phoebe Alexander can write such steamy books with great storylines that really grab your attention. I totally devoured this book in just over 2 hours. Definitely recommend!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Phoebe Alexander always brings the steamiest romance books that I cannot get enough of. Every single one of her stories are so unique and very different from everything I have previously read. She’s not afraid to push the envelope either!

The Spicetopia is one of my all time favorites. Ty and Makenna’s story is probably one of my favorites from this series. Both characters are at the theme park for their Bachelor and Bachelorette parties (they aren’t marrying each other). Their chemistry is completely undeniable and singes the pages! Miss Alexander added in some twists that no one was expecting and I was completely on the edge of my seat!

I hope there is more to this series. I love visiting my favorite theme park!

Matchmaker Melinda is exceptional at her job in the town of Chester where she’s coupled almost everybody around. As a widower, she aspires to help everyone find the love she’s experienced with her late husband. She’s protecting her own heart by being one and done with marriage after the loss.

You find yourself rooting for these characters and is quite a page turner to see where they go. The maid of honor and best man will have you cracking up with their witty and funny banter.

IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS (Irresistible Romance Book 4)IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another fantastic anthology of stories in this Irresistible Romance series, I have found some wonderful new authors to follow and of course I loved that Ms Ferguson’s story featured again! I adore her Wounded Warriors series; they are fantastic reads about wonderful characters. I loved that all of the stories were again varied; they touched on all sorts of different subjects so I am extremely confident that there is something for everybody in this anthology. Another story that I really enjoyed was Playing with the Bridesmaid by Stephanie Queen – that was a really fun read, I loved it! Both characters had a few issues but I loved reading their journey. Two Hearts’ Alliance by Tamara Ferguson was also a winner for me! It was really hard to choose a favourite so to speak because I really enjoyed them all!
I highly recommend this anthology and the series!

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia #5) by Phoebe Alexander. I love these books and this one is so fun! I think each one of these book is my favorite until I read the next one. They are all so good! This is the story of Makenna Oakley who is taking her bridesmaids to the Bahamas for the her Bachelorette party and that is about as kinky as Makenna gets! So when they get there and her Maid of Honor wants to go to a club called Spicetopia Makenna is nervous. Makenna has never been anywhere like Spicetopia which is a club for swingers. While there Makenna meets Ty Brooks who is there celebrating his bachelor party. He knows this is one last shot at freedom before he marries the girl his parents picked for him to further his political career. Sparks fly between Ty and Makenna leaving them both wondering if they are doing the right thing by getting married to other people. This book will give you major hot flashes in a good way! And once again we return to Spicetopia, a place where dreams and fantasies may come true..even if you had no idea these were your dreams and fantasies lol

This one might be my favorite of all so far, that’s hard to say because they are all amazing for different reasons. You can absolutely read this as a stand alone but don’t, reading every one of these makes the spicetopia journey nothing short of perfection.

Phoebe Alexander is without a doubt one of my favorite authors ever, she has managed through many stories to open my eyes to things I had no idea even existed. Absolutely adore her and will as always read anything she comes up with.

This is Makenna and Ty’s story, both visiting Spicetopia for their Bachelorette / Bachelor parties. Celebrations of both of them marrying someone else… I loved so much about this book, the scavenger hunt was amazing and of course these 2 ended up paired up.. The twists caught me completely off guard.. Well played Miss Alexander!!

Not going into any more detail, you must read this series, as I said this one might just be my favorite so far, and I say so far with high hopes that Spicetopia lives on for a long long time 🙂

With that being said, I would suggest reading them all because I have really liked all of the pervious books and you can see in just the short time the author has put out these books, that the author just keeps getting better and better. I am never disappointed with one of her new books and this one was no different. It was hot, sexy, steamy and sweet. Well written with awesome main characters. What more could a romance lover ask for? I enjoyed this one and I am looking forward to more books by Phoebe in the future!

Love Gaia: The Diary DirectiveLove Gaia: The Diary Directive by T.L. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark is a unique and original story that could almost be seen as something that could one day happen in our world. This thought provoking dystopian tale is a little eerie and daunting. To read what could be if power got in to the wrong hands or someone gets trigger happy.

The diaries of Dr Rachel were bitter sweet and was so easy to imagine what they were going through, the struggle, the loss, the heartbreak and heartache. But we also see the legacy that Rachel and others left behind and a new world order has come to pass because those before them were thrown into chaos and the unknown.

This is one story that will stay with me for a while.

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5) by Phoebe Alexander was a great 5 star read.

I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is Makenna and Ty’s story.
Makenna ends up going to Spicetopia for her bachelorette party. She ends up meeting Ty who is there for his bachelor party. There is an instant spark between them. When the dice are rolled and the dares start, things take an interesting twist.

Could they have just one last fling or will they want more?

Spicetopia definitely turns up the heat for these two and anyone that visits. The author pulls you right in with her writing, you feel like your right there with the characters. I’m glad that Ty finally stood up for himself against his family. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get some steamy twists and turns and some LOL moments. I look forward to reading more from this series.

What a sweet story! I loved how Adam was the epitome of a Marine. He was well mannered, respectful, honorable and is still a Marine though he’s retired. As someone who works with a lot of military I was happy to see she got that part right.

Melinda is enjoying her new life as a Matchmaker. She had no idea when she went to the wedding of one of her couples that her life is going to change for the better.

This was an incredibly sweet story between Adam and Melinda. They both have scars and are learning to live their new lives. I really enjoyed this story and would love to see more of the Matchmaker’s successful couples.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sylvie Stewart is quickly becoming one of my automatic one-click authors! She has a way of telling a story that pulls you into the world of the characters and holds you hostage until the end (in a good way…I promise).

This book follows the story of Milo and Jill. As teenagers, Milo and Jill became friends and were on the cusp of possibly more when they are torn apart. Twelve years later, back in the same town, they reunite and it is fireworks from the start. There is resentment but the foundation of their budding relationship in the past is still standing and opens the door for their to be more. Each has grown up (and probably have more growing up to do)…but can they make a relationship work after all that time?!? Read and find out.

I am sucker for a friends-to-lovers story…but this goes a step farther by being a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance. There is the southern charm that I have come to expect in the Carolina Kisses series…a slow burn romance…and characters with depth. Another great story by an amazing author…can’t wait to see what’s next!

IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS (Irresistible Romance Book 4)IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible Weddings is a collection of nine stories by some of the coolest writers I have ever read! Some of them were new for me and some of them I have been following for years and have read everything or most they have ever written (hint, Tamara Ferguson and Stephanie Queen!!!!) I love anthologies/collections as they give us a great opportunity to discover new writers and if you love romance then Irresistible Weddings is the fourth book in the Irresistible Romance series!
If you want to prolong the pleasure and build up the romance, read just one story a day! It helps you to really feel and it also gives you time to go looking for what the writers have written more if you like their writing!
As you can guess, the first story I headed for was Tamara Ferguson! Her Two Hearts’ Alliance is another story from her Wounded Warriors series and I absolutely loved it! I don’t think I have read anything by Tamara that I have not liked! This story is about two people coming together and forming an alliance that might turn into love if they do not get torn apart by an enemy…
The other one that I headed for was Playing with the Bridesmaid by Stephanie Queen, one of my favorite Aussie writers! She gives us Max and Natalie and I laughed a lot and I also felt a lot. It was a great story with a surprising twist and it shows as that an age might just be a numbers, in some cases!
The collection gives us stories that are different and at the same time familiar and you will enjoy every single one of them!

Martimus by Seelie Kay is the fifth book in the Feisty Lawyers series. This is a brilliant series with strong storylines and even stronger characters.
This book drew me in immediately. The story was such an intriguing one and I was desperate to see how they would pull their plans off. The whole way through I found myself trying to figure the whole thing out and found myself jumping from one idea to the next. The author keeps the book exciting with twists and turns the whole way through.
So far this book has to be my favourite of the series. It really had me hooked and I could not put it down until the last page – and even after that I found myself thinking about it! This is a fantastic book and I would recommend giving the whole series a read!

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive was a really intriguing and thought provoking read – I really enjoyed it! I’ve read books by this author previously so I knew I was in for a good read and I wasn’t disappointed. I love it when a story makes you stop and think at times and this one definitely did that. Aroha was really great character! The way in which the author chose to write the story was really interesting and engaging. I have to say I don’t usually take much notice of covers on books but this one was really beautiful!
I would absolutely recommend Love Gaia: The Diary Directive to other readers – it was a fascinating read!

Another Yesterday (Seashells and Second Chances Collection Book 2) by Angela Christina Archer – Review by Liz Vrchota

Another Yesterday (Seashells and Second Chances Collection Book 2)Another Yesterday by Angela Christina Archer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really stumbled upon a gem with Another Yesterday by Angela Christina. This may be the second novel in the series but it is easy to read on its own as it contains different main characters from the first so you didn’t miss anything from what I have gathered. I do intend to go back and read book one now that I have read this one because I am sure that it will be just as wonderful as this one was.

I really fell in love with not only the characters that are in this novel, but also the scenery and the way the author paints the view for you with her words. I was taken aback by the beauty as if I was smelling the salty air for myself and dipping my toes in the cool sea. This book weaves a family tale right along with the romance plot and it kept things moving at a rate that I was literally struggling to put this book down until I found out how things would come to be for the characters that I had become so invested in. We meet Maggie and her daughter in the beginning. Rachel, the daughter becomes our main character in the book when she finds herself back at the beach inn that once was her mother’s sanctuary. She hopes that she will find the same solace in life but things do tend to throw her a curveball here and there. Especially when the handsome and dashing Luke comes back into her life like a high tide. I was so sad that their story came to an end but I am excited to see what the other books in the series will contain!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am not gonna lie, I really wanted to get my hands on this novel the moment I saw the teasers and cover. I am a sucker for military romance stories being a former NAVY brat myself gives me all the feels of home sometimes when I read about the men and women who serve to protect our country. This one was a sweet spin on the second chance romance and military romance, and I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with Melinda and Adam.

We meet Melinda, a woman who is set and determined to matchmaker the perfect couple. She only wants to give others a taste of the same love she once held so dear to her heart. She lost her love of her life but others don’t have to miss out too. When she meets Adam at a friend’s wedding she never intended for her heart to start beating the romance tune again but it slowly starts to unthaw and heal. Will these two be able to find a love within each other? This book was so much fun to get lost in. I felt as if I was visiting the coast and soaking in the sun as I watched these two slowly fall in love with each other. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of Lucinda Race’s works!

ove Gaia: The Diary Directive by TL Clark. This is a great Young Adult dystopian read. The story is set in a post apocalyptic future world that goes between a diary that was written by one of the first survivors and the story of Aroha a young girl who is about to be an adult and her friends who are hearing the diary for the first time. Aroha and her friends have lived a very sheltered life. The diary talks of a time that was very dark, depressing and sheltered. During the same time Aroha and her friends are subjected to some very dark and trying times. They are weighed down by the responsibility and burden put upon them. The hope is they will learn from their past and not make the same mistakes that caused such devastation and changed the world as we know it. This is a deep, dark and devastating read but will really open your eyes.

Love Comes In The Mourning by Erin Bevan – Review by Bobbi Wagner

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this romance story. It is a sweet romance that will make you believe that you can find romance when you are not looking for it. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. It is a well written story that is fast paced, engaging and kept me turning pages to the end. The characters are well developed and I had no problem connecting with them. I enjoyed how they are supportive of each other which made this story easy to read. Lesley is determined she is going to start a new life after her divorce. She inherits a Manor from her aunt which is where she meets John. They both have broken hearts and have been burned by love but will they find something they don’t expect in each other? I love watching their relationship grow throughout the story. I highly recommend reading their story.
