My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book. It is a fast paced story that is full of action with demons and spirited heroines. This is a well written story that has characters I had no problem connecting with. They made the story come alive and made it easy to read as they were supportive of each other. They brought twists and turns that left me turning pages fast just waiting to see what will happen next. This is a story about a demon that is fixed on a mortal. He is determined to make her his no matter the cost. But at what cost? I enjoyed their chemistry, they made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5)Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5) by Phoebe Alexander is another fun and sexy story in the series. Reading the stories in order is a must as each book has crossovers in characters. Phoebe is the Queen of hot and steamy and completely outside the box when it comes to romance, I love it and Spicetopia is just the place to get it. So what happens when an unexpected Bachelorette and her best decides the party is to be in the one place where spice is the name of the game,,, When they come across a Bachelor party events take an unexpected turn and lives are turned upside down. This story will have you laughing out loud and enjoying the banter between the characters. Another well written addition.

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5)Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dares and Dice by Phoebe Alexander a five-star read that will blow your mind. This is number five in the Spicetopia series and it certainly is alive, they can all be read as stand-alone stories and they are all sublime, I have enjoyed them all as a series but have picked up a couple as stand alone re-reads. Makenna and Ty will just make you care, they have that something special about them, but there is enough drama about them that you can’t help but feel for them and understand where they are coming from. The setting is just sublime and man alive I wish I could go visit right now. This story was so good it made me want to go get married again just for the bachelorette party!!

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town RomanceThe Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Matchmaker and the Marine by Lucinda Race a four-star matchmade in heaven read. This is such an emotional and surprising read, Adam is such a great character, everything he goes through will just make you care so deeply for him, there is just something about him that keeps you hooked. Melinda was a good character but she took me longer to warm too, she has a tragic story as she lost the love of her life, and I admire her wanting to help others get that love, but there was just something about her that rubbed me the wrong way in the start, by the end I adored her but needed tie for her to grow on me.

TL Clark is becoming an author that I follow. I am never disappointed with any of her stories. Love Gaia is a dystopian romance. I find myself turning the pages because I wanted to find out what was going to happen. The characters are complex and intriguing. Clark has a unique writing ability that makes everything vivid and real for the reader. Aroha lives in a society that has sheltered life. There are some harsh lessons to be learned. Will the Aroha and her classmates learn from the past to change the world in which they live? I highly recommend this story to find out what happens to Aroha and her classmates.

While this is book five, it’s not necessary to read the previous books but I highly recommend doing so!
This is now, i think, my new favorite of this series and that’s saying ALOT!
What happens when a maid of honor and best man scheme together at separate bachelor/bachelorette parties, well this will give you a run for your money!
Ty and Makenna were great to read about and as always, this author leaves you turning pages to see where her creative mind takes you next. Can’t wait for more in this series, the possibilities are endless.

Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #3)Dead Magic by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kells is simply a master at her craft. This paranormal romance has it all – including the unlikely pairing of a witch and a vampire. This book and series continue to feed my love of paranormal fiction. And when it is written as well as this – needless to say this was a lovely afternoon lost in a world of Kells’ creation. Loved every page and only hated to see it end.

Feisty Heroines Romance Collection of Shorts Anthology – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Feisty Heroines: Romance Collection of ShortsFeisty Heroines: Romance Collection of Shorts by D.F. Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this anthology of short stories by a variety of well known authors covering multi-genres. All the stories are based on feisty heroines and the storylines are either, paranormal, fantasy, historical or contemporary romance. The Feisty Heroines collection will “whet your appetite with titillating, heart-pounding tales you’ll want to dive into again and again”. There are over thirty stories to capture your heart and make your pulse race, according to the blurb and it’s right. The common theme throughout the book is that it’s the feisty women who steal the show. Although the men are handsome and sometimes ruthless they are definitely ‘alpha males’, but it’s the females who are the heroines of the stories. The storylines are set in a variety of places from, the streets of bustling city’s, to ancient English castles, to far away places and mystical lands.

The women who are all independent, tough, feisty, often stubborn and very seductive come into their men’s worlds and turn them upside down whilst carrying out their missions to right any wrongs they have suffered. The men in the stories have to be strong willed enough to coax the softer side of our heroines out but sometimes these ladies are just too hot to handle. The storylines and characters in all these short stories are amazing and the book kept me reading well into the night. There is plenty of romance, chemistry which sizzles of the page and plenty of steamy scenes. The wonderful world building made me feel immersed in which ever story I was reading and although they are short stories they are all complete stories and packed full.

Good Bones, a contemporary romance by Maggie Adams was one of a few which really stood out for her amazing characters and a storyline which had me hooked from the start. Paranormal/fantasy romance, ‘With His Life’ by Theresa Hissong, which is a ‘A Rise of the Pride’ short story and Lane McFarland’s historical romance, ‘To Rescue My Princess’ were also particular favourites. However I thoroughly enjoyed all the stories in this Anthology of ‘Feisty Heroines’, and I recommend this book as a great read which has also introduced me to many new fantastic authors, who’s books I now look forward to discovering.

Irresistible Weddings (Irresistible Romance Book 4) Anthology – Review by Kerry Baker

IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS (Irresistible Romance Book 4)IRRESISTIBLE WEDDINGS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Irresistible Weddings is a collection of stories by a multitude of brilliant authors. With a mix of different styles each book is unique and interesting.
I read this book over the course of week, each day intending just to read a bit and each day ending up reading at least one of the books. I was drawn to all of them and loved how they were all so different from each other.
The characters we also varied and I don’t think I could honestly pick any one of them over the others. The book was a great read, so easy to get lost in. I have become pretty familiar with all of these authors over the past year or so and I always enjoy their work. This is definitely a collection worth reading.

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race – Review by Karyn Taylor

The Matchmaker and The MarineThe Matchmaker and The Marine by Lucinda Race
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Matchmaker and The Marine is a fantastic small town romance story by Lucinda Race. I had never read any of this author’s work but was intrigue by the blurb and decided to give it a go. I’m so glad that I took a chance on this book as I loved the story and the characters so much.
Melinda moved to the small town a few year back to start a new life for herself after the death of her beloved husband. She has set up a matchmaking company and has had a great deal of success in setting up local couples. At the wedding of one such couple she meets retired marine Adam who has recently moved to the town. When Adam hires Melinda to help find him some romance he soon realises that Melinda herself is the woman that he’s attracted to.
As much as she loves setting up other couples, Melinda has no desire to find herself another man. She had her one true love with her husband. But she can’t help how her body reacts around Adam.
I loved this story so much. The growing attraction between Adam and Melinda is lovely to read. You just can’t help but hope that the dates she sets him up with go badly as Melinda is perfect for him. There’s a good deal of angst throughout this book but that is something that I really enjoy reading. These 2 characters are perfect for each other but will a huge secret that Adam is hiding tear them apart when Melinda finds out? I urge anyone who is considering this book to give it a go as I think it’s a wonderful book.

Feisty Heroines: Romance Collection of ShortsFeisty Heroines: Romance Collection of Shorts by D.F. Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There are thirty-six authors in this anthology. With thirty-six different short stories, there is something for every taste. The stories are not all paranormal, but rather a collection of feisty females determined to get what they want. They are grouped according to genre, so if a certain genre is not your normal preferred reading, skip it, but do come back to them. I read every single one and they are all worth reading! I found some new authors to add to my ever-growing “to be read” pile.

This was a book that really drew me in right away and kept my attention for pretty much the whole book. There is a sense of urgency, darkness, light, forbidden love, redemption and forgiveness that keeps you turning the pages. This has well developed characters that bring the story to life. I had no issues connecting to them with each page I turned.

This is the first book I’ve read by CR Robertson. “Ezekiel was cursed by The Blood Queen centuries ago. Every time he feeds, she takes something from the woman he’s with – a memory, an emotion, a vital part of them that leaves his lover changed forever.” This was such a good book. I couldn’t put it down. Honestly it’s been awhile since this genre was something that hooked me so quickly- and yet here I am on my soapbox- READ THIS BOOK! It’s amazing. I can’t wait till the next one.

Book 5 in the Spicetopia series and another 5 star read from Ms Alexander! I have absolutely loved this series so far, the storyline, the characters and of course the steaminess of it all!! Ms Alexander is hands down one of the best erotic romance writer ever! Her stories are steamy and spicy but not over the top! Makenna and Ty’s story at Spicetopia is hot, steamy and sexy! I loved every second of it! The book could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend that they are read in order. I love how this author always pushes the boundaries for me as a reader as to what I do and don’t believe in! She never disappoints with her stories at all!!
I 100% recommend Dares & Dice!!! I am looking forward to more from this author as always!!

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5)Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5) by Phoebe Alexander, 5 stars.

This book threw me. The main characters were quite vanilla at first, just at Spicetopia for bachelorette and bachelor parties. I didn’t see where this was going or how they would fit into the amusement park. But I have to admit, they surprised me. Which, reading this author quite a few times by now, I should have known better. They were quite entertaining and deeper than I originally thought. There were a few curveballs thrown at me too, which totally did not see.

This book can be read as a standalone, but the series is so entertaining and each book is so unique, I highly recommend reading the whole series. If you are a fan of fun romance that isn’t afraid to get a little dirty, this book is for you.

All my life, it seems, I’ve made mistakes. Once, I lost everything. Failure seems to follow me around.

I didn’t spot what a snake Snake was—he had planned a mutiny right under my nose. Yeah, he did well when he appointed me as his VP. I followed him blindly, never suspecting a thing.

Now Snake is dead and I’m the prez. I still spend my days doubting myself, but I’ve got the whole MC depending on me. If I get it wrong, it won’t just be me who goes down.

Then I meet her, a woman who needs me to keep her safe. I should warn her to stay far away, tell her I’m not a man she should lean on. I’m not a person to trust when I don’t have faith in myself.

Patsy

Choices, always choices. I thought I did right when I left everything behind to make a new life, choosing which of my two adult children now needed me the most.

We should have been safe in our new life—nobody knew who we were.

But we’ve been found.

Manda’s life’s always seemed a bit weird, starting with a childhood that even today she’s still trying to make sense of, then losing her parents in the late teens. Going from the tragic to the bizarre, who else could be unlucky enough to have had two car accidents, neither her fault, one involving a nun, and another involving a police woman?

There isn’t enough space to list everything that’s happened to Manda, or what she’s learned from it. But by using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.

Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK, the area’s claim to fame being the Wilkin’s Jam Factory at nearby Tiptree. She can usually find jars of jam which remind her of home wherever she goes. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.

Manda is thankful that one of the more unusual, and at the time unpleasant, turns her life took, now enables her to spend her time writing. Confirming, in her view, every cloud has a silver lining.

5 out of 5 stars

The story Dare Me (The Demonology Series Book 1) by Felicity Brandon is a book that is interesting, intriguing, and one I had a hard time putting down once I had started. It pulled me in, and I was hooked. The story has demons, the paranormal, and steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. He is a powerful demon; she is a struggling artist looking for inspiration. He is determined that she will be his. What will happen when a dangerous game starts to be played? What does the future hold for them both? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me wondering what was going to happen next. The book is written in such a way that you feel the emotions that come from the artist as she tries to understand and wrap her mind around just who she has met and what he wants from her. The demon is a character that is self-assured and confident. I quickly found myself at the end of this story and still wanting to read more. I would highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) CA Miconi. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that had me hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Sally and Nolan. Sally is an intelligent and independent woman. She is a successful businesswoman. She finds herself running away from the only life she has always known. Then she meets Nolan. Nolan also runs a business. He has no plans to leave the town of Green Springs, Mississippi. He lost his wife to cancer and finds himself alone. Then he meets Sally. While they may have come from opposite places, they find an attraction to each other. What does the future hold for Nolan and Sally? Will they be able to find a way to overcome their differences? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down when reading. I grew to care about Nolan and Sally and wanted them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters in the story as most of them have been brought forward from the first book. There are romantic moments included in this story. This is a book that is entertaining with characters you will fall in love with. I highly recommend reading it.

This story is about a vampire who wants nothing more than to disappear but he meets a witch that has him intrigued and she is unforgettable. She saves his life but can he return the favor?
Every single book that this author puts out i have liked and she’s my go to for an awesome well written story. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a good Paranormal/Fantasy story!

5 Stars

Curse of Seduction is the first book in the Dark Princes of Purgatory by C.R Robertson. You know when you read a book from a new (to you) author and only a few chapters in you realise that you will be stalking, I mean buying and reading everything they have ever written, including their grocery list if you could get your hands on it- well C.R Robertson is one of those authors! I can already tell that this is the beginning of a long addiction, one that I am oh so happy to feed!
But, to be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure if I would love this book going in- I thought it would be Ok, but may be lacking in depth, story, and substance- by concentrating more on the ‘erotic’ component. But, colour me wrong!! This story isn’t just incredibly sexy- it has a fantastic storyline and superb characters as well. This is a masterfully crafted paranormal romance, with a complex and multi-layered storyline. There is a lot going on in it, including having the story told from several perspectives- but C.R Robertson deftly weaves it all into a delectably delicious and absolutely fascinating read.
I was in bed when I started the story, in need of a good night sleep. I thought I would just read a chapter or two to get a ‘feel’ of the book, before going to sleep. Ha!!!! I was hooked from the very first page and was still reading a few hours later. By that time there was only a few chapters left in the book- so there was no chance of me putting it down before I had read every last word!!! Needless to say, I didn’t get my good night sleep- but I did discover a fantastic story and a new (to me) author to put on my “must read” list.
So if you love a great paranormal romance- with a wonderful story, interesting and endearing characters (except for the baddy of course), some danger, and adventure- all set in a cleverly crafted ‘world’ full of any number of fantasy creatures (from dragons, to witches, vampires, elves, Lycans and more)…… then what are you waiting for? Get your one-click on and grab yourself a copy to explore, because I am sure your going to love it just as much as I have!!
Now on to my C.R Robertson binge!
Happy Reading!

Thank you, C.R Robertson. Looking forward to more time between your pages!

Curse of SeductionCurse of Seduction by C.R. Robertson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a book that sucked me into its world and did not let me go until the end. The world created was so vivid that I could see it in my mind and the characters were all great and I felt like I was a part of their world.

200 years ago, Ophelia bound herself to the four princes of Purgatory as a way to make herself more powerful. One of those princes was Ezekiel who is an incubus. For 200 years he has had his power stolen by Ophelia while she rages a war on all the realms of Purgatory. Enter Ilana…a half-vampire half-human warrior fighting to bring an end to Ophelia’s terror reign. However, one look between Ilana and Ezekiel sets into motion a series of events that were fated hundreds of years ago. Can Ophelia save Ezekiel from the curse without sacrificing herself? Why have those close to her been lying to her for years? You’ll have to read to find out the answers.

This is book covers one of the princes…so I am assuming future books will focus on the other princes. I found it hard to put the book down because I wanted to know what was going to happen. I will be looking forward to reading about the other princes in the future.

Curse of SeductionCurse of Seduction by C.R. Robertson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Curse of Seduction by C.R. Robertson was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

We start out by learning about how Ezekiel was cursed. Every time he is with a woman the Blood queen takes a piece of their memory, which is why he tries to only be with them once so they don’t become like a corpse.

Ilana is part human and part vampire, she has been keeping a secret. She can’t feed from a human without getting sick to her stomach. She has been able to hide it so far without any issues, but how long will it be before someone finds out her secret? She has been crushing on Ezekiel for years, every time she sees him her body gets very needy. When Ezekiel and his brothers have to pick people to fight with them, she ends up being picked by Ezekiel. He is intrigued by her and want’s to learn more about her.

I can’t tell you how much I loved Ilana, she had me LOL so many times with her thoughts.
Every woman had that one man she’d give her left fang to spend a night with. Mine was Ezekiel, Prince of the Incubi. He was sex on legs.

Ezekiel, wow where to start with him, he was hot and he could rock a woman’s world in bed. Ilana was a strong character that could definitely hold her own in a fight. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story as well. It has been quite a while that I’ve read this genre and loved it. I can’t wait to read more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

If a paranormal story is done right and you can’t put it down because all you want to do is stay immersed in the story, then it means it was done right and CR did an amazing job. With magic and many different magical creatures, like succubus and incubus, witches and elves, lycan and vampires and more then you have a story that is easy to stay lost in. I was able to vividly picture every character and CR’s world building and wordsmithing allowed my imagination to go wild. It is seduction at its best and if this is purgatory sign me up.

Ilana has always been different but it is not until she meets the one in her fantasies that she finally starts to see what has been suppressed all these years.

Zek is unsure what to make of the strange creature before him. All he knows is she is not what she seems and somehow she may be the one to break the curse. Little did he know she may be more than anyone may realise.

I certainly look forward to the next books in the series and hope they are available now.

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2)Be One with Me by C.A. Miconi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It brings romance and heat to the story that pulls you in right from the beginning. This story will show you that sometimes even if you are opposites that you can still find a common ground and build a relationship. I had no problems connecting to the characters. They brought the story to life with each page I turned. Sally thought she had it all until she lost her mom to cancer and Nolan thought the same thing but he lost someone he loved. They are complete opposites but they have such chemistry that they heat up the pages. What will fate have in store for these two? Is it possible that they can build a relationship and find happiness they both deserve? This is a great romance story that I would highly recommend. I can’t wait to read more from this author for sure.
