Infamy (Feisty Lawyers Book 2)
By Seelie Kay

Infamy is book 2 in Feisty Lawyers series by Seelie Kay. If you enjoyed Snatching Dianna, book one in the series then you are going to love Infamy. Infamy is a nice quick read, but just because it’s a quick read don’t be fooled to think that this book is not action packed. You will find this book has action, suspense and danger, and not forgetting the twists and turns that makes the story even better. Infamy can be read as a standalone but as with any other series I would highly recommend that you start with Snatching Dianna just for some background history on the characters.

By Via Mari

Shattered is book one in the, Torzial affair series by Via Mari. Having never read anything by this author before I was impressed with the writing style. This book is written in such a way it will pull you right into the story from the beginning. I was captivated by the end of the first chapter. This book centres around Jenny who has a successful consulting business. Jenny has been totally destroyed by her ex partner. Brian is the heir to a steel empire who comes across some what cocky. Until he met Jenny he was so sure all women wanted him for was his money. As soon as they met the chemistry between them was obvious. But now Jenny needs to learn to trust again and Brian needs to be less cocky and see Jenny as the awesome broken woman she is, and show her that love can be found again. But the question is have either of them got the heart to take that extra step to love, trust and a happy life?

Rainy Day Lovers is the third book in the Rocklyn series by Alicia Street. Don’t normally read a book that’s already book three of a series as I always wonder what I have missed out on. On saying that this book is a nice quick read, with amazing characters. I liked the characters of Roman and Raina, but the secondary characters in my opinion were just as good. Alicia has given us a heart warming, contemporary love story, a story that flowed perfectly from page to page. I do recommend that this book is read and I hope you enjoy it.

Beneath the Surface
By Amy McKinley

Ok so Beneath the Surface is the third book in the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. I have had the pleasure of reading all the books so far. I honestly have to say I have yet to be disappointed. While the books can be read as a standalone, there is no reason why you shouldn’t start at the beginning. If you start reading this series, you are not going to want to stop until you have finished. As with the other books in this series we still have the action and romance. There is no way I could pick a favourite out of this series as all three books are as good as each other. Amy has given us an awesome series, I just love her storyline plots and the way she writes the characters. So here are the books so far in this series Book one Broken Circle, book two Eye of the Storm, book three Beneath the Surface and let’s not forget Moments that Define Us (Prequel Book 0). So, either just read Beneath the Surface or do yourself a favour and read all the books.

Pandora’s Poison Hart and Cole book two by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. I really recommend that you read book one Climbing the Walls before you read this book. I enjoy reading books that contain POV and that’s what you will get with this book. The storyline In Pandoras Poison is just as good as Climbing the Walls. When reading this book, you very may well ask yourself how the relationship between Darren and Luisa work when their lives are complicated with lies and trust issues. Pandoras Poison may have you on somewhat of an emotional roller coaster. There is nothing to dislike about this book and I am pretty sure you are going to enjoy book 2 in this series.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire series by C.L. Schneider. I would suggest that you read this series in order or you may get a little lost in the storyline. Nite Fire: Chain Reaction carries on perfectly from book one Nite Fire: Flash Point. I really enjoy twists and turns so far in this series. Dahlia is just as strong as she was when we first met her. It’s good to read a book with strong characters, who seem to blend quite nicely together. So, if you want a good read, I encourage you to read the series and enjoy the journey C.L. Schneider is taking us on. Remember start at the beginning and I hope you like the two books as I have.

A Christmas Wish by Engy Neville is the first book I have read by this author, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the way the book turned out. This book centers around Amy and Richie. Although I enjoyed the book, I really did have a hard time coming close to liking Amy, Ritchie however was a different story, I took to his character straight away. This book will have you hooked in no time I am sure, in some place if you are liking me you will be eager to turn the page just to see what is going on. I am also hoping Abby’s story gets written, kinda liked her character to. Thank you Engy for a wonderful book.

Nite Fire: Flash Point
By C.L. Schneider

I was very interested to see what journey C.L. Schneider would take me on with this book as I haven’t read anything by this author before, I was not disappointed, and I doubt that you will be either. If you enjoy books that have so much action piled into it then you need to do yourself a favor and get a copy. But be prepared for a long read. This book will take you on Dahlia’s journey, Basically Dahlia is a shapeshifter and has got herself into some trouble and is not hiding from people who want her harmed. Nite Fire Flash Point will also give you some mystery, magical encounters and monsters. I have to say the author has great writing skills and this book just seemed to flow. Some points in the book I was made to feel that I was almost part of the storyline. Can’t wait to see what happens in book two of the series.

By Manda Mellett

Ok so even though I love reading books by Manda I didn’t think I was ready to move on to a new MC Chapter. But boy was I wrong, although it didn’t grab me as quick as the Satan’s Devil MC series, I ended up loving meeting new and a couple of old characters. Paladin’s Hell Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) is the spin off series to Satan’s Devil MC. Now this book can be ready as a standalone since it’s the first book in the new series, but I really think you need to start with the original series just, so you have a background history on the club. Now this book is no different to the last series and does deal with some issues that may upset some readers. Putting the heavy subject matters aside I reckon we are in for another hit series by Manda, a journey I can’t wait to go on.

Ok so I didn’t know what I was getting into when I started to read this book. Let me tell you it wasn’t long before I couldn’t put the book down. What we have here is not your normal romance book, which was a nice break away from our everyday romance stories. So, we have Evie who is a teacher, Dylan who is the son of a church leader who has left the church. Evie has most of her life looked after her mom who suffers from mental health issues and her younger sister. But now with mounting bills, Evie decided she needs to earn extra money. One of her friends suggests that she becomes an escort, at first, she says no but now she is buried under a mass of bills and decides to join her friend at Ma Maison Agency. Evie had no idea that she would be such a good escort. Enter Dylan one of the agencies clients. There was an instant spark between Evie and Dylan but was falling in love with him in her plans? Dylan was not having any luck at the poker tables and is hoping Evie who he sees as his lucky charm will change things at the tables for him. What I liked about this book was that the story just flowed and that’s what made it an easy and enjoyable read. If book one is this good, I think we are in for a good series.

A Pink Christmas Kiss
By Allyson R. Abbott

If you do nothing else you must read the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson R. Abbott, you won’t be disappointed. The whole series can be read as standalone stories. A Pink Christmas Kiss is centred around Billie and Leroy. Billie and Leroy had been high school sweethearts and through miscommunication things went wrong. Or did they? This one is probably the cutest and sweetest of all in the series. Billie left everything and everyone she knew and returned home five years later. Billie is now home running her dads shop as he is no longer able to do this task himself. When Billie and Leroy meet up again, they both realize that their connection is still there, as with true love it feels for them both that nothing has changed. But are they wrong? Christmas is a magical time of the year love and romance and the story of Billie and Leroy is no different. As with the other books in the series this one is also a nice quick and enjoyable read. This book is also well written and therefore the story flows nicely. So, get the whole series, it four books in total and get caught up in the magic of Christmas.

Yet another awesome read by Allyson. You just can’t read enough Christmas romance stories. A Tangy Christmas Kiss must be put on your reading list for over the Christmas period. In a nutshell we have Melanie who receives a phone call from her mother telling her that her aunt has had surgery asks her to go help her while she recovers. Melanie meets a handsome stranger by the name of Lucas, the spark between them flies quite quickly even though none of them can speak each other’s language. Just goes to show language is no barrier to love. I really enjoyed reading this book can be read as a standalone to by the way. As with Allyson’s other books in this series, this book is a nice quick read and the storyline just flows beautifully. Hope you get to read this book and enjoy it as much as I did.

By Claire Luana

The Confectioner’s Truth is the third and final book this series. Please don’t start with book three I wouldn’t recommend them read a standalone. We have the pleasure of meeting some new characters in this book, each one I feel enhances the storyline. Wren went through some time in self-doubt and tries to learn from mistakes she has made. Will she be able to learn and not make the same mistakes again? The only thing I did question was why so many couples, but all in all I enjoyed the book. The thing I liked about this series is I found most of the characters to have their own strengths, I could be wrong but that’s my personal opinion! I really liked how Claire just kept building up this series, sometimes I find the last book in a series to be disappointing, but not with this book. The Confectioner’s Truth has ended this series perfectly. I would also recommend anyone and everyone to read this series, you won’t be disappointed.

You just can’t go wrong with a good Christmas romance story, and Allyson just rocks it with each Christmas romance she writes, and A Frothy Christmas Kiss is no different. This whole series just seems to be getting better as it advances. What can be better when you find that shop that makes a coffee that is so perfect and then you meet the person who runs it and he just rock your world? That’s where Kat is at when she stops by the coffee shop that Dan runs. A little Christmas flirting doesn’t hurt either! There are some misunderstandings between Kat and Dan brought on by the lack of chatter between themselves. Just like Allyson’s other books this one is also so well written. There is nothing you aren’t going to like about this story. So, what are you waiting for? Go get this book and enjoy reading about Kat and Dan.

Eastern Shore Swingers (Boxset Books 1 to 3)
By Phoebe Alexander

Fisher of Men (Book 1)
After some bad relationships and with Will breaking her heart in such a way that she didn’t know how she was going to recover, Leah decided that she was going to let God guide the man to her that she should be with. She also knew this wouldn’t happen until God knew she was ready for it.
Leah works at the Pearl Resort as she describes her work role as keeping guests and staff happy. One of Leah’s main roles is to help guests organize their functions and to ensure that all guests can have a room booked for that night. She also ensures that the guests have everything they ask for to make sure their functions go off without a hitch.
Leah gets a call from her boss Barry to say they are a bar tender down for tonight’s function and asks if she can help. Having never attended bar before she has a few nervous moments. Little does Leah know that tonight’s function is a group of swingers who raise money for charities in the area.
As the function starts Leah serves what she thinks is a handsome man with a gorgeous smile. It’s this handsome man that tells Leah that everyone at this function are swingers. During their conversation she finds out this man’s name is Chris, but he goes by the name of Cap by his friends. Leah asks why Cap and he tells her it’s because he is a captain of a fishing boat. Leah can’t get Cap out of her mind and questions if God is sending her a swinger as her ideal partner.
Walking her dog Glory on the beach Leah bumps into Cap while he is walking his dog Keeper. Cap asks Leah if she would like to go for a coffee, but she makes the excuse that she must go back to work.
After all what future could she have with a swinger?
And as fisherman and swinger what is it that he could possibly offer her?

The Catch (Book 2)
The Catch is book two in the Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe Alexander. The catch can be read as a standalone quite easily. Keeping in mind this series is not suited for younger readers. As with book one book will also keep you wanting to turn the page to see what the main characters are getting up to. The Catch is centered around Paisley and Calvin. I loved their story and how they protective of each other. You will be surprised just how much depth the characters have considering the subject of the book. Paisley avoids relationships, and this is why I loved how Calvin and Paisley had such a good connection. Is there room in her life to love Calvin? Calvin needs to show Paisley that they do have a future, but how is he going to do this with her need to avoid relationships?

Siren Call (Book 3)
Siren Call is the third instalment in the Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe. Luckily this book can be read as a standalone and the storyline is very easy to follow. I wasn’t real sure about this book as I have never read a female/female romance before. But let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the story. There are quite a lot of sex scenes in this book but in true Phoebe style she has written the parts very well. As you can guess this is not your normal romance story, and by normal, I mean male/female. The book also has swingers, lesbian and bi sexual storylines, so if you aren’t into this type of reading don’t read the book, but I can tell you if you don’t read it you are going to miss out on a wonderfully written book. It an absolute hot read, so go get the series and I hope you enjoy it as I have. Thank you Phoebe for such a wonderful series.

By A.M. Myers

It Ends Tonight is book four in the Bayou Devils MC series by A.M. Myers. I have to say this one is now my favourite book in the series so far. This book brought out so many emotions in me, everything from smiles, laughter and tears. Lucas is a member of the MC tough on the outside and a teddy bear on the inside. Lucas’s main focus most of his life has been his brother, that is until the day he met Quinn. Quinn was involved in an accident and the only was Lucas could stay by her side on the way to the hospital was to say he was her husband. You see Quinn had begged him not to leave her side and there was no way he was going to let her down. From the time they met neither could stop thinking of each other and so their happy life was to start. Quinn had a beautiful baby girl, Brookes existence was due to Quinn being raped, but she could not love this baby any more if she tried. But the happiness stopped the day Quinn came face to face with her rapist. Lucas knew there was something Quinn wasn’t telling him and when he found out he was totally heart broken. But his heart would be broken even more when he found out more details of Quinn’s rape. I have to say Lucas is such a sweet character, he will definitely melt your heart. In fact, he is a perfect book boyfriend and I am sure some of us will wish we had a Lucas in our lives. This book to me is worth more than five stars. I also hope this is not the end of Quinn and Lucas’s story. So, my last words on this book is go grab this book it’s a must read

You can’t go wrong with reading a book by Allyson R. Abbott and A Prickly Christmas Kiss is no different. This is a nice and easy quick read and I didn’t put it down until I had finished the whole book, should only take a couple of hours of solid reading. What do you get when your nickname is Elf, you meet a man called Rudi and a couple called Mr and Mrs C and two broken hearts? A nice Christmas miracle maybe? Emma whose nickname was Elf was meant o be going away for Christmas with her best friend Carla, but as it happened on the way there Carla phoned Elf and told her that her car wasn’t going to make it, so she was sorry but she would have to pull out of their two week planned break in an isolated cabin that Carla had been to many times in her life. Elf not to impressed decided she would keep going and just spend the night there and come home. Elf’s two wishes for Christmas were being away from men and escaping another Christmas with her family. So, arriving at North Poleston is where she meets Mr and Mrs C in the general store where she bought supplies before heading to the cabin. Leaving the shop, she sees a police officer writing her a ticket explaining she was looking for gas the officer could see the most beautiful woman he had seen in his life. When Elf turned back to give the officer her license he had disappeared. Arriving at the cabin she meets a cat who even though he is a male cat decides to call him Sue. Two days later the cat has hurt his paw so off to the vet Elf takes Sue only to find out that he was the police officer from a couple of days ago. When he introduces himself as Rudi, she can’t do nothing but laugh. He questions the laugh and she say she has met Mr and Mrs C who reminds her of Mr and Mrs Claus, her nickname of Elf, the Vet/Police Officers name is Rudi and now he tells her that the cats name is Santa’s Little Helper. She also finds out that Rudi is Carla’s cousin and that Carla has spent a lot of time in the cabin which belongs to Mr and Mrs C. What Rudi and Elf don’t know is that Carla has set them up as she knows they will be perfect for each other. Will Carla be right in her thoughts? Or will Rudi and Elf be to heart broken from other relationships to see past their hurt?

I also think I need to go get books one and two, so I know the whole story. What plans do you make when doomsday has arrived? Rafe and Charlie must now make these plans and hope they survive. The world as the humans now know it must fight against flesh eating zombies, where only the strongest would survive. Rafe and Charlie however not only had the flesh-eating zombies to worry about but also the Government radicals to take into account. The Government Radicals were after everyone who worked at Rafes family’s facility and that included Charlie and Rafe. Will Rafe and Charlie survive both the Zombies and the Radicals? Grab the book and find out, you won’t be disappointed it really is worth the read.

Climbing the Walls is book one in the Hart and Cole series. I have to admit since I enjoyed this book, I did do a search for any other books by this author and found nothing. So, I am assuming this is Sacha’s debut book. If this is the case, then I would say we are in for an awesome series. Also make sure you have plenty of time to read Climbing the Walls as you are not going to want to put it once you have started. If you are like me this book is likely to take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride, but a ride you are going to love, trust me. Personally, I think you are going to absolutely love the main characters, they have their own strengths, but they also have their own flaws as well. So, all I can say is grab this book and have a read, I promise you will not be disappointed. Well done Sacha a brilliant start to the series.

While it is not my favourite of the three, the book is still very well written. Even though this book is ninth in this series it can certainly be read as a standalone. If you are expecting the usual love story forget that. Mouse by no means is a mouse, but he is one very hot Native American who is also the club’s computer guy. I did enjoy getting to know Mouse he has a multitude of sides that will have you loving this guy. We get to meet Mariana, I felt that both Mouse and Mariana had such strong characters, which made reading their story more enjoyable. Thank you, Manda, for another good read.

Courage is the second book in the Sisterhood series by Chelsi Arnold. I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing Brave book one in the series and I am happy to say Courage is just as good as Brave, so good I can’t pick a favorite between them both. I do suggest that you start with Brave for background history. This book continues on with the wonderful sisterhood we had in book one and the story line will have you hooked right from the start, in some places the storyline will hit you in the heart and will also in some places will have you sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what is going to happen on the next page. Its great to read another book that features brilliant brave and strong women. This group of women are like family and there is nothing they wouldn’t do for each other. Ms. Arnold has put such depth into the story I am sure like me you will feel part of the storyline. What more could you want to enjoy a book? I recommend that this series is read so please add it to your to read list and enjoy.

However, on saying that I really think we should all read the whole series. This is also the first book I have read by this author. Loved how the author has portrayed the characters in this book, the alpha males Greg and Tom sound like men some of us would like in our lives, Savannah is a broken person, but Greg and Tom find her and take her under their wing. This book is wonderful, fast paced, action packed and suspenseful. All I can say if grab the book and enjoy the read as I did.

The Confectioner’s Exile: The Confectioner Chronicles Prequel Novella
By Claire Luana

The Confectioner’s Exile is the prequel in the Confectioners Chronicles series by Claire Luana. This novella you find will be a nice quick read and you will find it gives the background of Hale and when he joined the guild. Yes, this novella is short, but you will still find twists and turns, love and some adventure. I did enjoy the novella and I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Who: A Stalker Series Novel
By Megan Mitcham

Who by Megan Mitcham is the first book I have read by this author. To begin with I thought this book started off a bit slow, but I can tell you by them time I had finished the first chapter I had changed my mind. I also loved the writing style of this author and doubt if it will be the last book, I read by her. I can I can honestly say if you love a book that is action packed, full of intrigue and somewhat hot passion and awesome strong female character, then you are going to enjoy this book. This story will also have you on the edge of your seat with just about every turn of the page.

NEVERLAND by Melissa Jane – Review by Sue Kemp

NeverlandNeverland by Melissa Jane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

NEVERLAND
By Melissa Jane

Neverland is a dark and twisted thriller by Melissa Jane. This is my second book by this author and I am glad I had the opportunity to read this book. I really like the writing style of this author, she gives you everything you could want in a book. This book also deals with some issues from racial and bullying in all forms that we deal with today. So please be aware of this before you start reading it. I don’t read many of this type of story, but I have to say that while its dark and twisted I really did enjoy it. Neverland deals with the life of Lucy who is a beautiful girl with a heart of gold, yet she doesn’t have the perfect life with her family. Her father is an abusive and yet her mother stays and puts up with his treatment. Wanted to grab this woman and save her from him and herself. So, if you want to escape into a world of darkness and suspense this is the book for you.
