I have been reading this book to my kid for bedtime and I have to say they have been absolutely loving them. this one was all about the kittens first Christmas, and every kid loves Christmas. The kittens had gotten into everything like the wrapping, the tree but what cat doesn’t like the tree. My kids were very engaged in this story and loved every minute of it. The illustrations just like the last ones were just as good and went along with the story nicely. Can’t wait to read more of them to me kids.

Its about how you can survive and what you need for a storm. This also helped because where I am we’ve been getting lots of thunder and rainstorms lately. My entire household loves the Oscar and Emmy series, so of course we picked this one up as soon as we saw it. We don’t live in an area that experiences hurricanes which made it a good learning lesson for both of my kids. The author has such a magnificent way of informing kids at an appropriate age level without scaring them or diminishing the experience. Oscar and Emmy aren’t sure what to make of all the movements throughout the story, but they go along with their family. The illustrations help with connecting younger kids to the story as well. I believe this is an excellent book to read as a family or in a classroom!

My kiddos and I have read quite a few of the books in the Oscar and Emmy series, so when we found out there was one involving our favorite holiday, we jumped on it! We love the beautiful illustrations as they help everyone connect a little bit more to the characters. Of course, our favorite parts always involve the lovely and mischievous kittens that are checking out all the fun Christmas decorations and gift wrapping. This book is such a cute one to share with the young ones in your life whether that’s at home or in the classroom!

It’s my favorite set of kittens coming back to help small children and their families understand more about how to deal with inclement weather. This book specifically goes over a hurricane that is close by and how they are going to handle it properly and safely. It goes over the preparation humans should take regarding their safety, as well as that of their four legged friends.
The illustrations will keep your youngsters attention even if the content is a little over their head at their age. This is a must have for any family with pets!

I really enjoyed this story! I loved how this shows the strengths and weaknesses that each person has! And I love how it shows to conquer your fear of not fitting in with others and also showing what you know when it matters the most! I really enjoyed this story!
Real world events seen from another perspective. Terri Sabol’s Oscar and Emmy series makes the reader take a step back and remember that as important as it is for you to have a plan for disasters it’s important to have them for your pets too. As the news showed in the book several abandon their pets out of the lack of a plan and preparation for what’s needed to take them. Added facts on details and more information on what’s needed for pet emergency kits is amazing. Also, this book teaches the reader to have empathy for those less fortunate in disasters and small ways they can help that leave big impacts like making cookies and teaching others how to make a kit for their pets.

What a fantastic story not just for kids but for any pet owner! This story shows how to prepare for a hurricane both for people and for your pets. The author presents it in a way that is factual but not scary for kids and give wonderful advice for pet kits. The cover page has Oscar and Emmy’s paw prints which adds to the cuteness of this story. Very great book for anyone who lives in a hurricane pathway!

The artwork in this book is beautiful. I felt bad for poor Rocky, it looked like he thought he didn’t fit in with his own family but, when he had an idea on how to help them out, they al praise him and he realizes he fits in well, he was just too shy to speak up it seems. Him and his cousin Rascal hit it off and make a great team together. I chuckled at the angry chicken in the background during the egg eating contest. Such a sweet read.

Racoon Reunion is a fun and educational story with beautiful colorful illustrations that bring the story to life. In the end Rocky learns all about friendship and teamwork with his cousin in game playing…..excited for the next adventure to come….

Facts about Hurricane Harvey are included, as well as how the community came together to help each other, especially organizations that helped with pets. This was a great story that was very informative for people of all ages who may find themselves in the same situation.

What an informative story. From reading the title we learn this is based on a true story. Very adorable illustrations of the cats and their humans. Learning about emergency kits and evacuations. All very informative and helpful for young kids and for pet owners alike. End of the book even gives you a list of all things that should be kept in an emergency kit.

Oscar and Emmy Weather a Hurricane is a wonderful book and the great nieces and great nephew and I all enjoyed. All of the Oscar and Emmy books are great and learning to prepare in bad weather is vital. This story is educational, meaningful and full of engaging illustrations.
Charlie and Abby are helping their parents prepare of a hurricane…the best solution is emergency kit boxes!! Preparing every item that may be needed during the hurricane also includes Oscar and Emmy, their cats.
This is a great story for any age and learning to be ready if bad weather may come about….also I think it is fantastic to not forget the animals as well they are family too!!

This is a cute story about Rocky the Raccoon and his adventures at his family reunion. At first, he’s apprehensive to go because he doesn’t know anyone there and everything happens so fast and he doesn’t know how to do some of the things. But he becomes an integral part of helping everyone out at the end and ends up making friends with his cousin Rascal. It’s a great story to teach your littles about trying new things even though they may be scared. I really loved the illustrations and thought that the life-lessons were great.

Rocky the Raccoon and his family are invited to the family reunion being held at Grandma Rigby’s place out in the country. He doesn’t want to go. But he doesn’t really have a choice. Raccoon Reunion captivates and entertains young minds and had my grandson’s full attention. I like that they learn from Terri’s stories opening them up to immeasurable possibilities. This is a delightful picture book that tells the tale of one raccoon who is unsure of his outing and overcomes his fear of the unknown and the value of helping others. This cute story becomes even more dimensional with the beautiful illustrations by Pei Jen. A great addition to a school library, library, or in the family home.
In the book, twins Abby and Charlie,help their mom and dad get ready for the hurricane. They also make sure their cats, Oscar and Emmy, are safe and well taken care of in the event of a major disaster. This book is well written and great illustrations. The facts in the back about Hurricane Harvey is a nice touch. The checklist that’s provided for things to have ready in case of an emergency for pets is great. That can be utilized for any number of emergency situations. A quick read for little ones who may get anxious when it comes to storms to help calm their fears. Definitely a great teaching tool for little ones.

The story is beautifully written, with vivid descriptions of the forest and its inhabitants. Sabol’s use of language is easy to follow, making it accessible to readers of all ages. The characters are well-developed and relatable, with Rocky’s emotions and thoughts expertly conveyed through his dialogue and actions.
A lovely story that reminds me a little of country moune and city mouse.It’s a really cute story that will take you back to your memories of family reunions. Mine were always nuts. The story has bright and colorful illustrations that are sure to grab a child’s attention. The story is entertaining and family friendly. My grandson and I laughed and chuckled through it. He asked questions which brought up memories of family that had passed. It’s a lovely book that we’ll be adding to our library. I still have 4 more grandchildren to share it with. This is my favorite childrens book this year.
I was really surprised by this book. When I first saw the cover I didn’t know if I would truly like it. I loved how educational it was about storms. The book talked about taking safety precautions and things that you should do. I loved the illustrations and the colorful pages.

Terri Sabol is an accomplished children’s book author, renowned for her heartwarming and entertaining stories featuring the real-life adventures of her two beloved rescue kittens, Oscar and Emmy. This was a cute little story about surviving a hurricane. I really like this series about the cats Oscar and Emmy and think many kids would also love them. Each book includes helpful information on how to make sure your pets get what they need to live and be happy. I recommend this series to anyone with children who want to learn more about how to take care of their pets.

My son and I love reading Oscar and Emmy books together. They are fun and educational. While we live no where near the coast, and will likely never encounter a hurricane, we enjoyed Oscar and Emmy Weather a Hurricane. I like that after the story it has facts about hurricanes, so we can learn a little more. Abby and Charlie are preparing for a hurricane to hit their home town, and their parents engage them in helping prepare for their pets Oscar and Emmy as well. They also teach us about when to evacuate and move to somewhere safer. These books are wonderful for children to learn about the topic of the story, in a less scary way.
