Unbreakable (The Diamonds Book 1) by Tee Smith – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Unbreakable (The Diamonds, #1)Unbreakable by Tee Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unbreakable is book one in the Diamonds series by Tee Smith. This one is a story that takes a little while to get going, and flowed along nicely, if not a little sedately. The story was really well written and the characters I found quite beguiling and very entertaining. For some wild reason, Ripper just made my heart ache. He brought out my protective mamma instincts and he was by far the most appealing in the story. Erin was not as easy to get a read on. But all that aside, the story as a whole was a good one. It was easy to follow and had a bit of excitement, drama and dangerous deeds. Great word structure and character creation made Unbreakable an enjoyable read. 4 stars.

Jake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail: A Touching Tale of Sharing, Disability Awareness, Kindness, and Overcoming Fears by Samantha Shannon is a fabulously written tale describing disability, fear and acceptance which children can better understand that not everyone is the same and even though we are all different, we all need kindness and friends who like you you for who you are and not what you may look like or sound like. The story points out fear and how one can learn to not be afraid of things that are different. The author sets out all the various issues within the book so well, a child would get a lot out of this story. So I encourage all the littlies to go on an adventure with Jake and his friends and learn all the lessons that are intertwined in the story. 5 stars.

Stripped (The Stripped Series Book 1)Stripped by Stacy-Deanne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stripped is book one in the Stripped series by Stacy-Deanne. There was a lot happening in this story, and at times I was a little lost. Stripped is the first book I have read from this author. I found the writing to be fast paced, energetic and full of, well everything. There was suspense, drama, interesting yet mysterious characters, and more than I have time to mention. The characters mostly were relatable. Some I Liked, some not so much. But all that aside, the story was well written, easy to escape into, and kept the interest and intensity at top level all the way through. A well thought out romantic suspense that was loaded with excitement and spirit. 4 stars.

Bared. (A Green St. Girls Romance) by N.D. Jackson – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Bared. (Green St. Girls #1)Bared. by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bared is book one in the Green Street Girls Romance series by N. D. Jackson. The story was an emotionally charged drama that flowed along gracefully and dramatically. Athena and her soul sisters were ready to take on the world and falling in love was not in the cards for her. Tru comes along and rocks her to her very core. She was unprepared for all of the feelings he invoked, all that he represented and the way he wedged his way into her heart. She had her girls and her business and that was all she needed. Or so she thought.
These characters blended together well and despite their individuality, they connected very well and were a pleasure to read about. The author spun a wonderfully intricate and thought provoking tale. A fabulous introduction to the Green Street girls. An endearing story. 4 stars.

So Close (Love Grows Series Book 4) by Renee Regent – Review by Tracy Wilkin

So Close (Love Grows #4)So Close by Renee Regent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So Close: A Best Friends To Enemies to Lovers Romance is book four in the Love Grows series by Renee Regent. As far as friends to lovers stories go, this one ranked very high. Also add in the enemies drama, which made this book almost impossible to put down. The interaction between characters was seamless and even though there were many battles, the connection was undeniable and the chemistry was incredibly steamy. The heartbreak was brutal and the sense of betrayal palpable. Dahlia and Levi were a couple that should never have been. Their history was marred with tears and a lack of trust, but they fought their demons and won. Their strength was admirable and the willingness to eventually forgive provided a gripping and seductively structured masterpiece. I truly felt every struggle this couple battled through. Their ending was hard fought and so very passionate. In my eyes, a near perfect story. Stunning in its complexity, beautiful in it’s conclusion. This one will definitely be worth many re-reads. 5 stars.

Sinful Daughter (Dark Mafia Sins Book 1) by Emily Bowie – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Sinful DaughterSinful Daughter by Emily Bowie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sinful Daughter: A mafia Romance by Emily Bowie is a dangerous and forbidden mafia romance that is dramatic and edgy. This story was very well written and very engaging. Add in a love between a cop and a mafia princess, and I am one happy reader. Another bonus is I have found another creative and talented author to add to my bookshelf.

Theo is a straight arrow that is after justice. Aria was everything he never expected. Sparks flew from the very beginning and continued to intensify throughout the story. The attraction was magnified by constant danger and secrecy. It keeps a reader on the knife’s edge. There is nothing better that danger magnifying emotions and actions. There is a lot of these stories out there, but this author puts an original spin on it and delivers a powerful and energetic drama with explosive sexual energy and brilliant characters. 4 stars.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Repair: An Everyday Heroes World Novel is part of the The Everyday Heroes World and is written by Trish Williford. This author is like fine wine, each story just gets better. I loved the style, the context the words were written in, and the complexities of the characters. Each character was a little flawed, more than a little difficult and a lot passionate. Their attraction burned hot through many years before they got their act together. Their dance toward bliss was seductive, messy and tumultuous. It was a drawing addiction that had me mesmirised by every paragraph. I was under their spell. What a clever and insightful author Trish Williford is, who can captivate an audience and unveil a heated and emotional story that will amaze, stun and impress. 4 stars.

Dark Bastard is book five in the Dark Sparrow series by the enigmatic author, India Kells. There is nothing better than a troubled soul that finds the light. It appeals to my dark and twisted side. There is always an abundance of excitement and adrenalin inducing action. I love the evolving of each character. The author can spin a tale so the reader can almost feel like an extension of the book. I become one with the characters and there hurt is my hurt. Their triumphs are mine. Their tragedies break my heart. Sam needs to save Evie, while battling his own demons. Their charisma was spine tingling and the feeling between them was everything. Secure Decision, book five in the Chase Security series is one of the most suspenseful and gripping romances I have ever read. R. L. Dunn wove an intricate tale of intrigue and drama that held me totally mesmirised. I was instantly enamoured by Wes and Eleanor and their journey. This story had so much that appealed to me. I love horses, love anything military and I absolutely adore a hard fought love story. Insecurity, danger, passion and mystery were just a pinch of what this story delivered. Eleanor had her demon’s to slay and Wes was the perfect man to ease the way. The emotion between them was its own being. So big and all consuming. It was easy to become one with this story, blissfully ignorant of all that was going on around me.You know you have a winning read when you are oblivious. Secure Decision was one of the best suspenseful romances. The delivery was on point. Well done, R. L. Dunn. 5 stars.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In His Kiss is book one in the Unrequited series by Ava Alise. This author is new to me and I was really excited to find out what her style was. And this genre is one of my favourites, so sinking into this story was bliss. I love nothing more than to read a romance where the characters are best friends and discovering these feelings they have for each other. Then all the emotions that come with it. There is the realisation. The denial. The resistance. The struggling. The fighting. The acceptance. The contentment. The belonging. The happy ending. In His Kiss had all the elements of a fantastic romance. The attraction and connection that existed between the characters was decadent, and the evolution of their love story was captivating, stimulating and impressive. New authors bring new writing styles and stamp their own signature on the genre. And I cannot get enough. A brilliant and well presented story that has me craving more. 5 stars.
