Copeland is an amazing story teller and I love what she does with fantasy. This YA fantasy continues her series and picks up where To Be A Fae Queen left us. I love how Copeland continues to develop Titania as our main character. What an epic story… anyone that enjoys the fantastic worlds of Maas will truly appreciate the gem that is this book and series. This can be read as a stand-alone but why would you want to. Start from the beginning. Then relish every page of book two. And pray the series continues because it is just that good.

This is the second book in the Realm Chronicles. Tricia Copeland is an author that I picked up because I know I will not be disappointed. Being this is the second book in the series, I highly recommend reading the first book to get the introduction to Titania and her strength. This book is full of adventure, magic, action, danger, and good vs. evil. Being this is the second book in the series, I highly recommend reading the first book to get the introduction to Titania and her strength. The realm that she has created is amazing. I feel like I am there inside the story. Her attention to detail is astonishing. The characters are complex and connectable. In this book, we are with Titania, who is holding the one who is protecting her realm from evil. She has to have eyes all around her because there is evil out to get her at every turn. If you love books about fantasy and Fae, this series is for you. You will have to read to see what is in store for Titania.

To Be A Fae Queen caught my attention from the very beginning and kept it to the end. Titania is still a girl and has to fight for her right to be Queen of her people. Titania is strong and smart but has to prove she is the best choice. The author did a great job bringing each character to life for me. I am excited to see what happens in the next book.

I truly enjoyed this second installment in the realm chronicles series. As with the first book I was beyond impressed with the authors ability to grab my attention early on, pull me into the story, and not let go until the end. Back in middle earth young queen Titania rules with grace and strength with every issue that arises despite what everyone is thinking of her. I really loved seeing how much she had grown since book one. We get to enjoy our original cast of characters that we had come to know and love but we are also introduced to a whole slew of new ones to love. To be a fae guardian was a lovely fae fantasy that had a little bit of everything from love, family, hardships, lies, and a little heartbreak, and healing. I would definitely recommend this page turner of a book. I would recommend reading this series in order so you can better understand the events that take place in this book. You won’t regret it.

Alas, we now have the high council who is trying to accuse her for doing bad for her people which is leading to her comrades contemplating her rule. Once you read this next book, you’ll love this series more. Highly recommend!

~Journey to Middle Earth with a Fae Princess~

I actually started off by reading the second book in this series, and am SO glad I went back to read the first. I won’t share any spoilers of course…Titania is what everyone hopes for in a strong female role. She is relatable, real, and steadfast. I love how as this story is developed, you can clearly see her growth through the struggles that she encounters, in the face of complicated situations.

If you enjoy YA fantasies this is definitely a must read. Fae, Middle Earth, family ties, difficult choices, a realm in need of a heroic young princess. What more could you ask for in a fantastical journey to Middle Earth?

To be a Fae Guardian (Realm Chronicles, #2)To be a Fae Guardian by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To Be a Fae Guardian is the second book in the Realm Chronicles. It’s an exciting, beautiful fantasy story focusing on a young woman struggling to prove herself as a leader in a world of complicated politics and supernatural threats. If you haven’t already, I would definitely recommend reading the first book, To Be a Fae Queen, to begin with!
I loved the first book in this series, so was eager to read this when it came out and find out what happened next to Titania and her friends and family! In this sequel, Titania has to deal with the backlash of the decisions she made in the previous book. This is really effective – too often it seems like heroes face no consequences for the rules they’ve broken to achieve their goals. And, of course, there are new threats in addition to Titania’s social responsibilities as queen.
I particularly liked Titania’s cousins. They bring light and joy to the darker moments in the book, as well as helping Titania learn more about herself. They also highlight how much Titania has had to grow up, quickly, as they are not much younger than her but free from the authority and responsibility she has to shoulder.
This book gets a solid five stars from me! (Or six, if I’m allowed to give six? Worth a try!). I would recommend it to teen and young adult fantasy fans, as well as adult readers who enjoy fantasy that’s not too grim or heavy. It’s aimed at readers in KS4, but strong readers in KS3 will enjoy it as well.

To Be a Fae Queen amazed me! There were so many different elements in the book that it was slightly overwhelming at first. But, once the different elements began to intertwine, it all made sense and I could not put this book down. Tricia Copeland delivers superb characters and an interesting storyline. Copeland also creates a magical world of Middle Earth, the land between Upper and Lower Earth, where the Fae reside. To Be a Fae Queen is magical, fantastical, but also believable and relatable in a way. I felt drawn to the world of the Fae and their duty to protect the dwellers of Upper Earth, the humans. The Fae must also protect their own realm and kingdoms, which creates problems for the newly appointed Queen Titania. I am greatly looking forward to the next book in The Realm Series!

Here we are again with a terribly young queen with insight far beyond her tender age of 16 years old.

Titania struggles as the realm doesn’t appreciate she saved them from disaster and instead condems her. she struggles knowing her instincts are right and true but a council of a different generation can’t see things the way she does.

she perseveres despite some heart lurching goodbyes and she learns not to trust so quickly except in her own decisions. she makes one hard decision after another but continues above all else to put the realm and her kingdom first.

will she regain trust in herself, can she erase self doubt…can she protect a realm that doesnt seem to want her protection and can she mend her poor young broken heart….?

wonderful YA series… its a can’t miss!

Well I am still intrigued! To Be a Fae Guardian was good! It starts pretty much where book 1 left off with the consequences of one’s actions.
Titania is once again brought under scrutiny for treason. She always believed she was doing the right thing and hopes others will see fit.
It’s a story about how the Queen of Aubren navigates devastation in varying ways to reign supreme. Not trying to spoil book 1 or book 2 navigating this review has been difficult. All questions will be answered if you just read it!
It’s definitely not a standalone, you really should look into reading book 1 first. All will make better sense if you do. If you enjoyed book 1, what are you waiting for?!?!

I’ve only recently enjoyed books involving Fae, so I took a risk jumping into this story. It was good, I felt some parts were a little slow but that hasn’t deterred me from wanting to read book 2!
To Be a Fae Queen, introduces us to Princess Titania, a stubborn and elusive Fae who will do anything to help the Fae of Aubren, as well as those in other realms. Begging her father, the king, to allow her to help out in the battle against the kobold Titania is restricted to their home.
Titania comes up with a plan to go searching for the kobold herself with the assistance of Foster who has been enlisted to protect her.
Coming out victorious her father graciously hands over his crown making her queen. Though in the same evening her integrity was brought into question and to be challenged to prove she’s worthy of her birth right.
Does she succeed in the challenge?
What about Foster, where does he fit into everything?
Did they really defeat the kobold?
Those 3 questions and more will come to fruition and be answered if you give this Fae novel a chance! If you’re like me and are on the fence when it come to Fae novels, then let me tell you, you’re missing out if you don’t give this book a chance!

To be a Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles, #1)To be a Fae Queen by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first read by this Author and it most definitely will not be my last!! The Author has an exceptional talent with fantastic world building and amazing visualization; the Author makes you feel like you’ve known Titania, her royal family and their kingdom your whole life, feeling every bit of anger and frustration with them.

The kingdom and royal family remain broken from the past tragedy that took the lives of many. All characters in this book are well developed and engaging, everyone is vital to our lead characters’ development, as well as to her past.

We are given an amazingly fearless heroine lead, Titania, who is smart, fierce and strong enough to be able to put her kingdom before herself at the young age of 15. Although she is young, she is very relatable as we follow her journey of continuous obstacles and difficulties. She remains heartwarmingly humble, even as those known to her kingdom, turn against her rule.

I highly recommend reading this book, not only does it have beauuutiful artwork, it has an excellent storyline and the Author shows great attention to detail and to the background information that is helpful if you are new to the Fae genre.

The Author has created a captivating and interesting world of realms, I was drawn in and hooked by the end of the first chapters! I love that we are given maps of the kingdoms with an idea of where they are, in comparison to our current world.

This is a coming of age novel that contains a thrilling adventure of good vs evil, drama, loss and deceit,as well as family, friendships and love.

I will be ordering a copy of this book to have on the shelf for when my children are old enough to enjoy it! Add this to the list of strong character leads who are relatable even if they are in a different realm.

I am looking forward to reading the next instalment in the Realm Chronicles!

This is the second instalment of the Realm Chronicles and as the first, it does not disappoint! I read these books back to back, I suggest reading them in order to have a full understanding, as there is more to come!

We are again taken to the realm of Middle Earth, continuing with Titania on her journey as Queen and learning with her more about the realms and past secrets. We follow Titania while she struggles to believe in herself as she faces hard decisions for the kingdom and the challenges that come with her young age. As she is growing into a young adult fae, she still shows her strength and resilience to put her kingdom first and do best by her family.

We are introduced to new characters and dilemmas that Queen Titania continues to handle with grace. She struggles with support and trust from her people; while having every move she makes watched, literally, she finds the strength to carry on despite everything weighing on her shoulders.

The fate of the kingdom falls to Queen Titania as evil forces threaten Middle Earth. She may be the only one left to ensure that evil doesn’t win and to defend her kingdom from the creatures who threaten to take over.

The Author continues to impress with their great care and attention to detail and gives us another fantasy adventure of good vs evil, drama, loss and deceit, as well as family, friendships and love. There is an added layer of secrets, prophecies, mystery, magic and evil spirits.

I will be ordering a copy of this book to have on the shelf for when my children are old enough to enjoy it! Add this to the list of strong character leads who are relatable even if they are in a different realm.

I enjoyed this second instalment, it was engaging and fast paced, making for a page turning read. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading the next instalment in the Realm Chronicles!

This author is one of my absolute favorites! I have read almost all her books and love everyone of them. This series is so intriguing and the characters are so well detailed that you can’t help but fall in love with them.
Titania is the queen of her kingdom and bears the weight of a worlds worth of responsibility, but she does so with such grace and wisdom. You would think that if she did everything she could to save her realm she would be worshiped yet she is instead put under investigation for taking actions to save her people. She becomes so overwhelmed that she has a heart breaking decision to make.
This book held my attention from the very first page to the very end! I could not put it down. I am so relieved there will be another in this series because these characters deserve more, maybe even more than one … maybe five more or six more heck maybe even a whole 10 more to make it an even dozen!! If you are looking for a great YA paranormal read you should definitely read this series, you won’t be dissatisfied! Can I give this ten stars please??

To be a Fae Guardian (Realm Chronicles #2) by Tricia Copeland

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. To be a Far Guardian is the second book in the Realm Chronicles. The first book let us in on the characters and now we get to see what happened.

Titania is now the queen and it’s not going as easily as she wants. Now with the trials and her wanting the best for everything may not turn out the best. Her cousin has put in her head that things may not work out. The quote I chose for Titania is: “I have not been charged with such. But it was I who kept us up into the wee hours of the morning. That will not serve us well today.”

Holden has now confessed his love for the queen and she has said it back. He’s got to work although he doesn’t want to do the trials. He wants everything to work out, but doesn’t understand why she keeps her cousin around. The quote I chose for Holden is: “I do not wish to speak these words, but it is late, and I must rise early. I want to be well rested for the trials.”

Highly recommended for YA Fae lovers.

Queen Titania returns as she continues her reign as queen, although there are those who would oppose her, she is still making the decisions which she feels are the right ones with her advisors behind her. After Titania has secured the safety of her realm, she believes that she can have a small amount of time with her family in relative happiness while she recovers from her ordeal battling the creatures who were attacking her people and colonise the realm, however this is not to be when she comes under the scrutiny of the High Council.

A close ally has been brought before the high council and now they have decided that Titania herself must come before them, charged with breaking their edicts twice, however Titania knows that she was in the right to act how she did. Titania states the facts as she knows them and awaits for their deliberation, however their result is not what she hoped for and now she has lost what little freedom she had left.

As the time passes, Titania is observed at all times and she is struggling with not being able to plan for the attack she knows will come, she is also fearful that those closest to her are distancing themselves and she is losing sight of the path she is destined to walk. Meanwhile, she has a feeling that the creatures she defeated are just biding their time until they can return and complete what they started.

Will Titania be able to keep researching and find a way to defeat the evil she knows is lurking beneath their feet, or will she be prevented from doing anything worthwhile because of those of observing her every move and the possibility of those closest to her finding her unworthy of their belief? This is a fantastical tale filled with secrets and deceit as one queen battles to keep her realm and the realm which exists above hers safe at all costs in this action packed adventure across the realms.
