Werewolves Only (Crescent City Wolf Pack Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen is a shifter, supernatural, paranormal thriller, with some steamy romance. I enjoyed the story line of where werewolves versus demons filled with mystery and drama, action and tension. With multiple victims telling the same story, just who and what are they chasing? Will they be able to work together to track and kill the evil that is haunting their city and keep those they love safe? It is an intriguing and engaging story that keeps you on your toes with the many twists.

Stepping It Up is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence series by Bea Stevens. It is a very witty, funny and very entertaining story and I really enjoyed it. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the thoughts and actions of our main character, Libby. She is a breath of fresh air, her inner musings, just gold and the situations she found herself in, cracked me up. Bea did a great job of putting this story together and providing entertaining from the start to the end. Libby and the other characters were fresh and engaging. If you want a little something to tickle your fancy then grab this book. I look forward to reading more from Bea.

A great read about danger. the French Quarter has been struck by a series of mysterious rapes and attacks. Hot on the trail is Detective Macey Carpenter, who uses special abilities to solve crimes. When she meets werewolf Luke Mason at a bar, she thinks it is just a date. But events beyond their control unite them as the attacks continue. Will they be able to stop the attacker before it’s too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Macey standing up for herself but avoiding a broken heart or Luke jovial personality but kind nature underneath. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the storm and trees or the garden or swamp full of natural imagery to make the world around them seem spectacular. Or the use of scents and sounds as if you were actually there which was beautifully written. I loved the use of fantasy with the werewolves as a big family with their own rules and laws existing the real world. The use of different powers and variety of mystical creatures from fantasy was spellbinding each time and a lovely addition to the novel. The mix with realism of crime scenes and morgues was beautifully done and made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Badge Bunny is the latest instalment in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series by K.L Montgomery. It is such a great Rom Com/Enemies to Lovers story- and has taken top billing as my favourite of Ms. Montgomery’s books, so far. It could definitely be read as a standalone, even though it is the fourth book in the collection, as the series is made up of standalone stories- each book centres on its own particular couple, but the common factor is that the stories are all are set against the backdrop of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. But, I really do recommend reading all the other books too- because they are wonderful stories in their own rights. Brynne Miller is a busy ER Doctor, who has a penchant for a man in uniform, dating so many that she’s earned the nickname of “Badge Bunny’ (which she hates). But, Brynne has decided that they’re all the same, full of themselves- and has sworn off them all. Chris Everson is a State Trooper who is a bit of a man’s-man. There is a lot more to him than meets the eye. His job means he frequents the ER on ‘business’. He’s immediately attracted to Brynne, but she is quite prickly and doesn’t give him a chance. Brynne’s first impression of Chris was less than impressive- he annoys and frustrates her. But these two find themselves at the same wedding- and a major crisis demands that they work together to handle the situation. With them both keeping things close to their chests, what happens when everything is revealed? Will Brynne let go of her first impression of Chris, admit that she’s attracted to him, and give him a chance? Does romance ever stand a chance of developing? As I have said many times now, Ms. Montgomery is a masterful storyteller- easily able to tempt readers into her story and keep them completely hooked right from the beginning, till the very last word. I love how her story depicts characters that are realistic, believable, and relatable…. The fact that characters from other books also make appearances, is just the icing on the cake- getting to glimpse a little of what’s happening in their life too. Superb!

A great read about mystery. America is inhabited by Spirit Walkers, people with special abilities. When Spirit Walker Feather Woods finds a dead body, she believes it is cruel fate that it is a close friend. But as the investigation escalates, the police discover she is the only link to the death. As events escalate and a cold hearted killer stalks the people she loves, will their abilities help to find the truth and catch the killer before it is too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. fast paced action and high stakes make for a captivating read. Well developed characters like Raine as a kind protective brother or Feathers compassionate nature but still standing up for herself. The use of flashbacks to the past worked well and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel in the sense of nature with the animals and the moon and also the landscape of the past in a sense of wild beauty. I loved the mix of fantasy with the shifting and also the realism of police and crime which was combined beautifully for a great read. The use of horror and gore was written to perfection in an eerie beauty and grabbed the readers attention. Overall, a brilliant read and I would give it five stars.

My favorite so far! Badge Bunny is the fourth book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by KL Montgomery. You can read this book as a standalone. You don’t need to read the first three to enjoy this book! However, the characters in the other books are featured in this story. In this story we meet up with Dr. Brynne Miller and Corporal Chris Evanston. Brynne is a doctor in the emergency room and Chris is a state trooper that becomes enamored with Brynne while bringing a victim in to the E.R. At this point, Brynne has sworn off ALL cops! Her co-workers have deemed her “Badge Bunny.” But this story is all about understanding that not everyone is as they seem. Turns out that Brynne isn’t as tough as she comes off as and Chris isn’t the womanizer that Brynne thinks he is. Although Chris is harboring a secret he is determined to show Brynne that he really is just a nice guy. Happenstance has them paired up at a wedding and from there is when they learn more about each other and just how much they are great together. Their banter is great and their connection is sizziling. I love the interaction between them and the other characters from the other books. I loved finding out Chris’s secret because it’s definitely not what you think. This book also covers bi-racial marriage and adoptions. This author really knows how to capture the reader and she also knows how to keep them interested. I honestly couldn’t put this down. I would definitely recommend this book!

Won’t Let You Down ( A Cedarville Novel Book 8) By Bree Kraemer Rated 5 stars!
I was very excited to read this! I love all the previous books and knew I would be stepping back into a favorite place. I wasn’t disappointed. I really want to move to Cedarville. The place of the super hot men and sassy women.
Joy and Flynn’s first meeting wasn’t fantastic but it became memorable to them in different ways. Later Joy doesn’t remember him and and he wants her to remember on her own so he won’t tell her. So even though they both feel this connection. They are not sure how to move forward. So she avoids him and says as little as possible since she is afraid he was a one-nighter. Moving forward when that explanation comes out…prepare yourself for a super ride.
Hot lumberjack bearded Flynn! Haha I laugh when the girls call him that! I love that for Flynn. Gives me a picture in my head of what he looks like! Other than those intense eyes and his determination to get Joy. How thrilled Flynn was when Joy finally said his name! I thought “Wow this guys a goner for sure!” Though I was happy as well. I mean who gets that excited over someone saying your name?? Its because thoughts and comments like these, I was so happy to be inside Flynn’s head. I really enjoyed his thoughts, ideas and of time with his friends.
These two!! I love them together! Their conversations together are so cute! I literally sit with a smile on my face while reading. A favorite couple among this group for me. When together with their friends. It was fun to see all the teasing and good natured bickering between all of them. That really helps bring the past around and the story move forward.
Addison, Leah, Carly and Melanie have all had their stories told and have gotten their happily ever after. While they were a few books ago I still feel this author is consistent in her storytelling. I still get giddy, laugh and and sit smiling while reading this book as I did when reading the earlier ones. I’m glad this author still can keep me interested and waiting for more from these lovely characters.
Although this is book 8 in the series it can be read as a stand alone. For much much more enjoyment you should read them from the first Cedarville story.

Won’t Let You Down by Bree Kraemer is A Cedarville Novel book eight. This book can be read as a stand alone but all the characters from previous books make appearances. I suggest reading the books in order to get the full effect of the novels. This book is Joy and Flynn’s story.
Joy is new in Cedarville trying to start over. She tends to keep to herself and not take many risks, especially love. Joy keeps convincing herself that Flynn is not for her but she can’t figure out why he looks at her that way.
Flynn hopes that Joy will see him. He’s been trying for months and can’t figure out why she ignores him. He’s tired of being alone and totally ready to settle down and he wants that with Joy.
Will Joy be able to set her past aside and see what Flynn is offering?
I absolutely love everything about this series and this book only proved it further. The growth you get to witness from Joy is really great! I love this book as much as I’ve loved every book in this series so far!!

Tightrope 2 is a continuation of Tightrope by Maddie Wade. The main characters are Hunter and Lexi. Lexi has some struggles leftover from her previous relationship that hinder and endanger her, as well as endanger her son, whom is fathered by Hunter. This story is told from the POV of both characters, and I really liked that! I also LOVED that this story was equal parts steamy, and suspenseful! At no point was I bored. This story is definitely intended for mature readers! Tightrope is the first work I have had the pleasure of enjoying by Maddie Wade, and I give it 5 stars!!
What an unprecedented delight. The House that Adelia Built it not only a fast-paced read, it’s also an eerie one, one that is simply delightful and creepy. Part of what makes this novel so good is the atmosphere it holds is so eerie. Taking place in a lighthouse above the bluffs creates an isolate atmosphere that is reminiscent of Stephen King. It has this tone that makes it eerie without adding much to it. O’Malley lets the story speak for itself, she lets the description build upon itself and create the mystique that lures the reader into the mystery of it all It’s captivating how the story functions in that way, to focus on the use of language to captivate the reader. O’Malley knows how to show and not tell, and she does it so well.
On top of that, there is the 200-year gap that goes into the storytelling. The story shifts from the 1800s to 2017 to focus on two separate women in who both live in the lighthouse. Hope from the year 2017 is having visions of something terrible happening at the lighthouse, except she’s having trouble with it, reconciling these visions with her life. Hope has never tried to make sense of her visions or the pull the lighthouse has on her, but once she meets Clooney, everything becomes stronger for her, making it harder for her to live day by day. It’s interesting how the story goes, how it creates Hope and makes her persona and narrative so different from Adelia. These are two very distinct voices that drive the story, and what’s more, the flashbacks, the way they build the history also serve to build the mystery.
The novel goes back and forth effortlessly between the two narratives, keeping the reader from losing interest and losing their place. The story is clearly written and uses misdirection so well. It’s unpredictable how these two characters relate to one another, leading to a mind-blowing resolution. That’s what makes it so good. Yes, the narratives maintain their own tone and distinctions, but the fact that the tension and pace enthralled the reader, keeping the reader on their toes it what makes the piece as a whole so accomplished. As a ghost story, a paranormal story, it keeps the reader at the edge, it maintains the mystique. That’s what’s so powerful about this novel and why it’s so good.
The story flows, it has an enthralling setting and captivating characters and this air about it that makes the reader just want to curl up and read. The pace keeps it moving, keeps the edge on the tension so that builds just so perfectly. Honestly a great read.

Plot Twist by K L Montgomery is the third book in the Rehoboth series and follows the story of Lindy and Merc and how something happens when you least expect it.
There is a new production coming to town and Lindy is normally backstage but her friends are determined to help her and get her to audition for the main show, the only thing is being a plus size girl she would rather just blend into the background.
Merc is just getting over his divorce and is now the lead in this production he is trying not to get involved with anyone in the production because that’s never really worked well for him in the past but there is just something about Lindy that just want leave him alone.
The story goes through the twists and turns of the relationship and the chemistry of these two characters just jumps off the page. I love the witty, sassy comebacks from these two will have you laughing out loud. I love the books by this author and with the well written story and brilliant developed characters will have you downloading the rest of the series.
The Last Keeper of Light is a wonderful dystopian fantasy by Nikki Broadwell. Ms. Broadwell is a new-to-me author who came to my attention when her book showed up on my feed and the beautiful cover caught my attention. The title also intrigued me, so I read the blurb and knew right away that I would enjoy this story- which I did… The book is very original- and has A Hopi Indian prophecy as the ‘inspiration’ for the storyline. It is very creative and imaginative, with magic, secrets, survival, adventure, danger, drama, and some mysteriousness. Ms. Broadwell creates a vivid, fully realised, and believable world in which she set her story. I was transported into the world, experiencing it along with Sandal (and the others)- watching as everything unfolded. Sandal is in a post-apocalyptic world, where survival is an hour to hour, day by day ordeal. We are told/shown what’s left of the world after everything is destroyed, the dangers that are faced by the survivors, and the difficulties they face. The world as we know it is no more- the grids are down, and everything has gone dark. Millions have died, either from the initial destruction, or later from the starvation, disease, radiation sickness- or natural disasters that followed. Sandal has a big secret that she must protect at all cost, her ‘mission’ is of paramount importance, and her success is crucial- because she literally has the future of the world in her hands. There is so much more to the story that just a dystopian/post-apocalyptic survival story…. There is a another ‘layer’ threaded through it- one that speaks of magic, lessons to be learned, and most importantly, of hope. This story switches back and forth from the past to the present as everything is revealed. These transitions are done quite seamlessly and there is no confusion as to ‘when’ we are in the story, or what is happening. I also enjoyed the thought-provoking nature of the story and the ‘lessons’ that the book holds. Overall, I am quite impressed by my first foray into Ms. Broadwell’s ‘world’ and I am looking forward to reading more of her works in the future.

Hopelessly Devoted (Bayou Devils MC Book 1) By A.M. Myers 5 Stars
Hopelessly hooked! With the first book in this new MC series for A.M. Myers, she’s pulled me in again. With riveting characters, lots of action, a bit of suspense and tons of emotions Hopelessly Devoted is an all-around great book.
Logan “Storm” Chambers is the VP of the Bayou Devils MC. Although his life has been riddled with the pain of loss, he finds a purpose in the work that the MC does. He’s only a shell of the man that he used to be but with the MC he’s able to keep the darkness at bay.
Ali Jameson is over the whole “dating” thing. After the last debacle of her ex, she’s content to just concentrate on moving up the work ladder. Until a run in with the sexy-as-sin neighbor has her reconsidering those life goals.
Be prepared for a wild ride that will have you laughing at Ali’s antics and crying over ‘Storms’ pain. Action that will keep you guessing and a cast of characters that will have you longing for more time with them. This book is extremely well written and will keep you entertained from the first page to the last. I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series!

Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine by JD Frettier and book 1 of the Green Room Chronicles. It was a short, quick read. I thought the book was well written.
The book is about the day Bonnie Hampton dies and the months after. She is quickly shown there is life after death but, she misses her husband Peter more then anything. She watches over him and protects him when she can. I thought this book was a very good read.
Whiskey Dick by Ryan Ringbloom is every bit as fun, witty and crazy as the title. Ryan has done an excellent job on this short story and the characters and their shenanigans and banter just cracked me up. It is sweet and steamy and will have you laughing out loud each and every step of the way. If you need a little pick me up then Whiskey Dick is just what you need. I can’t wait to see what else Ryan has in store for this series.

Just Exes is a fantastic second chance romance by Charity Ferrell. I fell in love with Ms. Ferrell’s writing when I read ‘Just One Night’ (Book #1) and ‘Just Her Body Guard’(Book #2), and have since read many of her other works too- so when I saw this book there was no question, I knew I just had to read it. I am excited to say that it was everything I had hoped for or expected from this talented author- I thought it was going to be impossible for her to get me to love any characters more than I did Stella and Hudson (Just Her Body Guard)… but Lauren and Gage have certainly succeeded. This is now my favourite book of Ms. Ferrell’s, so far. This is a beautiful and such an emotional story- extremely well written. It had me totally engrossed right from the start. I found it a sexy, slow-burning, funny, emotive and very relatable! The characters are all so well developed and endearing. I found it easy to connect with them and their story. I was cheering them on from the sidelines the whole way through. They had both been through so much and had carried their pain for so long, my heart ached for them! But boy, these two were entertaining with their arguing, verbal jousting, and one-upmanship- their banter was hilarious at times, which did help to balance the emotional and heartbreaking moments. The story has a great pace and a smooth flow. It was so easy read, I got through it all in one sitting. I am very excited to see what comes next!

Famished is the first book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. It in an intense, dark, gory, clever serial killer thriller/crime novel that had me completely gripped in its hold from beginning to end. There were times I thought I should have looked away, closed the book and stopped reading because it was quite shocking and disturbing in places- but I couldn’t, I was glued to the page, heart in my mouth, on the edge of my seat trying to piece everything together and figure it all out before everything was revealed. But, wow- I did not see THAT coming, at all!!! Ms. O’Flynn spun a brilliant web of intrigue, mystery and danger- cleverly choreographing everything into a riveting story and keeping me guessing right till the very end!!
I can’t wait to dive into book #2!

The Dirty Rooster by Kelly Mooney 5 out of 5 stars The Dirty Rooster written by Kelly Mooney is a new adult romance book. This is my first read by this author and it was amazing I loved the characters and their quirks but also the storyline is amazing. The easy flow between the characters and the secondary characters where great. I simple loved this story. Preston Ellington spends long summer days on Hilton Head at his family’s hotel bar, slinging Dirty Rooster shots to half-naked women who eagerly jump into his bed for the promise of an equally dirty night. That’s the only promise he’ll make, since anything else will interfere with his plans. He doesn’t do commitment because he has a dream and a trust fund. The last thing he needs is some gold-digger trying to sink her claws into his future. Summer Fallon fled her hometown in New Jersey as soon as she had her college diploma in hand. She arrives in Hilton Head with one goal to make as much money as possible without distractions in the form of sleazy bartenders who take home a different girl every night. Her job as a hotel maid sure isn’t glamorous, considering the marathon sex fests she needs to clean up afterward in the penthouse, but it’s going to jumpstart her new life. Will Preston let his walls down for Summer? Can Summer see behind Preston’s facade? Will they have a happily ever after or will everything blow up in their faces? AHH! I love this series and author! I was so excited to read this book and it doesn’t disappoint! You can read each book as a separate standalone but they truly awesome books that you don’t want to miss out on.
Brynne is an ER doctor that kind of has a thing for cops. She has dated numerous cops which has caused her co workers give her the nickname badge bunny. She’s finally over the whole cop thing when Chris (a state trooper) enters the picture. Their first meeting isn’t ideal but now they are in the wedding party of two of their friends and hilarious interactions continue!
I loved this book from the very first page and was sad when it ended. I love all the characters in each of these books but Brynne and Chris are probably my Favorite!!!
