I really loved this novel it so relatable for many people facing insecurities, doubts about your self and so much more. I felt really connected with the story and the characters and i struggled to sit my kindle down i was so engrossed in the story i found it hard to pull my eyes away. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and think very little of myself the self doubt creeping in and the little voices telling me I’m nothing but when someone sees you in a complety different light it’s hard to wrap your head around it which is what you will find Kennedy she has all this self doubt will she believe in herself or believe what other’s see or will the little voices in her head win. I really really enjoyed this novel absolutely fantastic.
I enjoyed this story so much, the main character really spoke to me from the very beginning and I felt an instant connection with her. Kennedy was such a relatable character and I think that there are going to be so many readers out there that once they start reading realise this. After I read the blurb I wasn’t sure I would find this connection but I really did. I loved reading her story, her good times, her bad, her struggles and her joy. It felt like I was reading her diary and her inner dialogue was so funny at times. I found the book to be such an engaging read that I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down at all. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but I loved her creative and engaging writing style so I would definitely love to read more from her again. I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Credence Woods to other readers; it was a wonderful read with an equally wonderful character!

Yea those words apply to this one as well, except I must add that she destroyed me in this story..she took my breath away more than once and I literally could not put it down until I read the very last word….

If you are looking for a good science fiction story with a new twist this book is for you. Colleen Myers is an amazing author who takes you a ride that you do not want to get off until the end. Must Remember is a part of the Solum Series. Not only is filled with aliens, adventure, and action, but also magic survival, and memory loss. The story is about Elizabeth Camden’s or better known as Beta. Her world is coming to topsy-turvy, as she was taken away from her college campus to an alien world. She does not understand what was going on fully and she has had her memory gone. She is confused not knowing what is going on. Will Beta figure out what is going on? This is a must read for everyone’s library.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a beautifully written love story. It’s most definitely an ‘opposites attract’ story. You could never imagine these 2 characters being together. I was totally drawn to the story from the very beginning and devoured the whole book in one sitting. Kennedy Hewson is a high flying sales executive buying industrial properties and selling them on. She’s a total workaholic, city girl. Kennedy has previously undergone weight loss surgery and is now a shadow of her former self, although since losing the weight she still struggles with confidence and sees herself as a ‘fat’ person. While on a working trip to Tennessee, Kennedy has a car crash and is rescued by handsome local Max. Max takes Kennedy to his home to look after her and there is an attraction between them. This is a beautiful story which portrays Kennedy’s journey to deal with her issues around her weight and her growing feelings for Max. Max who lives in a different state (a different world really!) who couldn’t be any more different from Kennedy if tried. Can Kennedy overcome her self-confidence issues and realise that she is desirable? Can she give up the high powered city job that she has to live in the country? Will Kennedy and Max get the happily ever after that they both deserve so much? These and so many other questions are answered in this gorgeous story that I thoroughly recommend to others. Before finishing this review I must add that there are some amazing side characters who add so much to this story, none more so than Kennedy’s personal assistant Hank. Hank is truly awesome. Everyone needs a Hank in their life!

This is a love story I haven’t heard before. I guess I never realized all the struggles someone would go through, dating after weight loss surgery. Even years later, Kennedy’s self esteem and body image are affected. Professionally and fashionably fierce, she’s in need of a boost in the rest of her life. Max is a sexy southern gentleman, a great book boyfriend, and just plain sweet. I really like him and how he makes her feel. I love her assistant too! This book is light on angst. It does get a little crazy near the end, but has a happy ever after. It was entertaining and enjoyable.

Our Next Chapter is a contemporary romance book and is the first book that i have read by this author and i loved it. From the moment i picked this book up i DID NOT want to put it down. It was not only the authors awesome writing style and her ability to draw me in, but it was also the story line and the fantastic characters that made this story. This was one of stories that had me on a whirlwind of emotions. One minute i was happy, laughing and excited. The next i was sad, angry and tearing up. She suffers their experiments and torments, and finally she escapes. She doesn’t remember the details of why, but they want her back….badly and they will do anything to get her back. In her fear and pursuit of safety, she runs into the Fost, the enemy of the E’Mani, and hey, the enemy of her enemy is her friend….right? Beta struggles with the memories from her time of capture and knows that they hold the secret as to why the E’mani want her back so bad. As she tries to regain these memories she is drawn to the handsome Marin, a Fost who seems to have a similar attraction to Beta. This book is not in my normal wheelhouse genre but I was oddly and pleasantly surprised with this book. The characters were well rounded and sharp. Easily relatable on a personal level and with dashes of humor thrown in. A good read for a rainy day.

Joker’s Fool is the eighth book in the Satan’s Devils MC series by Manda Mellett. This is a m/m romance and was well written with what I can only assume are true issues when coming out. How I missed the first seven I don’t know but if I had to pick one to be introduced to this Motorcycle Club this was a great one. It can be read as a standalone thankfully but I’m interested in the stories of the others is this club.
Joker had a horrible and tragic childhood and carried the scars into adulthood. Those scars built a strong wall between Joker and everyone else until he gets to know Lady and very slowly he starts to allow Lady in.
I can’t imagine the struggle of not only realizing you are guy but accepting that you’re “different” and that some people may not like or accept you for that one reason.
I truly loved this book and I hope to get caught up on the series at point and look for new books in the future

Joker’s Fool was a great 5 star M/M read and is book 8 in the Satan’s Devils MC. We jump from past to present as Joker remembers his childhood memories.
Joker has a secret that he’s keeping from his MC brothers. We get a deeper look into Joker’s childhood and his struggles he went through at home. Kind of breaks your heart, I had a few teary eyed moments.
Lady helps Joker realize that there is nothing wrong with him and that they can be happy with who they are and who they love. Lady had a very different upbringing that was supportive and very opposite of Joker.
Can these two have a HEA? How will their brothers react to the truth?
Manda really pulled me in with her writing. My emotions were all over the place, hate, fear of discovery, pain from past, and so much more. Joker had me right from the first time I met him in the series, and getting to know his story was something I couldn’t wait to read. I’m glad that Lady was there to love and help Joker. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. This can be read as a stand alone, I definitely need to go back and catch up.

The Sound of Love is the first book in The Sound series by Maria Watts. This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be the last. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last. This is not your typical rockstar romance, it shows the good and bad side of following and being involved with a boy band. This story features Nina, who has a giant crush on the lead singer of The Funky Guys, Chris Mulligan. When she accidentally get the chance to meet him, and they have chemistry, thing progress from there. As Nina follows Chris out on the road, choices must be made, but she is young and Nina struggles with new experiences trust issues. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Michelle Sullivan’s Our Next Chapter is a contemporary romance. This novel was a page turner through and through. Michelle’s style of writing easily captures the reader within the story and holds it while she shares a captivating story of ups and downs, loss and growth, regrets and aspirations with a second chance. I fell in love with the main characters as I was reading this story and thoroughly enjoyed how this author paces the story and showcases character growth and development. Karalyn and Dez are the quintessential high school couple where everything that could part them falls into place with their lives now set on separate paths. This story was a piece of literary art.

Self Love by TL Clark is the first book I’ve read by this author. This book is a standalone and is recommended for readers 18+ due to some of the content.
Molly is stubborn and independent. She’s also generous and caring. There’s a lot of facets to Molly but she’s pretty self- deprecating as well. She really focuses on her faults and the negatives rather than any real positive where she is concerned. Molly deals with a lot throughout this book. As the book went on, I was definitely rooting for her. I pretty easily connected with Molly as I’ve faced similar issues. That connection made her real and really pulled me into the book more than I originally thought I would be pulled in. I was hesitant when I started this book but I’m glad I took a chance anyways because I would have missed out on a good book otherwise!

I know, I know… It clearly said “DO NOT OPEN UNTIL HALLOWEEN” but I couldn’t help it, I HAD to read it as soon as it hit my Kindle. This is one or my favorite authors who writes such spectacular stories that I couldn’t resist.
I have something in common with a character in this story. You see, I’m a “flamboyant introvert” (I also explain it as an extroverted introvert) and had to make sure that the story portrayed said character in a grand manner. (She was portrayed perfectly.)
Did you know that “Darkness can never hurt you as long as you have hope in your heart for a bright sky ahead.”? You will learn that and more when you read this incredible story. It’s a story of magic and friendship and stories, ohh the stories.
I recommend this beautifully written story to everyone from my young cousins and my elderly mother’s book club alike.

Isolde lives a normal, if somewhat boring, life. That all changed the moment she gets into the wrong car with some men she has never seen before. They say they are another race and she is the one they have been waiting for. That she bears the marks of the four houses of these mysterious beings. And to make things even more interesting, she is supposed to mate with one male from each house of this race. But they are not the only ones looking for her. There are others that want to use her and will do whatever it takes. Can she believe all this? If so, does she go along with it?
This was a very interesting book. I have never read a reverse harem book before and maybe that was why, but it felt a little confusing to me at first. But the more I got into the story, the more drawn in I got. Besides the romantic side, there is action and betrayal. Isolde is interesting herself and easy of the men in her life are different, making this an even better book.
If you like supernatural romance and/or reverse harem romance, this book is for you.

Hidden an Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn is a five star novel. This is the fourth novel in the series and they just keep getting better and better. Like to be scared? Then this is the book for you. The first introduction to this book is inside the head of a killer. The way she was able to write from this deep, dark, mysterious perspective is frightening. I didn’t know at first if I was going to be able to continue reading, but after pushing forward, I am glad I did. Just like the other Ash Park novels, this one does not disappoint. It is full of intrigue, mystery, frightening murders and plenty of work on the relationships of the three main characters. Once I got past the prologue, I couldn’t put it down!
I’ve enjoyed other stories by this author and was looking forward to reading OUR NEXT CHAPTER after reading the blurb.
This is a well constructed story that ran a little long because of all of the drama. Second chances can be hard when there are outside influences.
While I liked both main characters, there was something about each of them that bothered me. I didn’t have as much of an emotional connection with then as I thought I would. Don’t get me wrong, it is an enjoyable story and had very distinct plot points. I also liked the friendships and sibling relationships in the story.

Our Next Chapter by Michelle Sullivan. This is the story of Karalyn and Dez. They met as kids and became best friends right away. As they became older they became boyfriend/girlfriend and fell head over heels. Dez’s parents never really approved of Karalyn because she was a little older and not as well off as them. When Karalyn’s family has to move away when she is 17 because her mom got a job 2 hours away they are both heartbroken. After she moves away she finds out she’s pregnant so she tries to get in touch with Dez but her parents put a stop to it. Heartbroken for all those years she raises their daughter Quinn the best she knows how and does a wonderful job. Quinn is almost 17 when Dez appears back in Karalyn’s life and she’s not sure whether to trust him or not especially with Quinn. She realizes she has always been in love with him and he realizes he’s always been in love with her but she has really hard feelings towards him because of the way things were left. Will she be able to trust him again especially with the most precious thing in her life? Will Dez try to get back in Karalyn’s life and realize he’s the dad of a beautiful, smart almost 17 year old? This is a sweet and sexy second chance romance. I highly recommend it!

The Sound of Love (The Sound series #1) by Maria Watts was a okay read that shows a different side of the teen crushes, and the dreamy boy bands of the 90’s.
My first read by this author, I didn’t know what I was getting into. Though I read YA, it’s more fantasy, dystopian and paranormal. I don’t read much of the contemporary romance types. And this book again showed me why I don’t dwell much into that genera. Why? Well like others I have read, there is a bit of a unrealism to it, yes I know it’s fiction, but if you don’t have some semblance of realisisim for a story, that’s set in the real world, then it makes the story feel silly and unconnecting. And for me, parts of this tale were just that.
The first half of this book was great. Now I wasn’t sold of the whole “I was giving the wrong number, so I punched in some random ones, and low and behold, it worked!” So yeah that was, so far-fetched that it was cringe worthy, but, I put it aside cause Nina and Chris’s conversation were very interesting, fun and sweet. Nina called Christ out on his BS, and Christ was learning about what being a normal teen is like. It reminded me of the days, before internet, and social media. There was almost a cute innocents to it, that just warmed your heart.
Then, she met him, things weren’t as they were one the phone. I’m not going to say what, cause I don’t want to ruin the story. But there’s a personality shift, and frankly, it blindsided me. We spent so much time learning about someone, that who wasn’t not only who Nina thought, but me. But at the same time, I know why it was done, and I’m going to give the authors propbs, for leading both of us stray. Bravo.
And that’s where I’m going to leave this review. It’s one of those books where I have just as many likes as dislikes, and I don’t’ want to go down a rabbit hole. So let’s just end this with my overall impression.
As a whole, this book isn’t bad. It matches its target audiences, the writing is smooth, professionally well crafted and, has a very nice rhythm to it. I liked how even though I had problems with scenes, or plot points, the writing kept me well engaged and pulled into the story. I truly believe this is a good book to give your teen to read, especially if they’re currently obsessed with a band or singer. It will show them what goes on once the lights of the stage goes off and that mask of perfect is stripped away.
In ending, this books gets my recommendation and gets my approval

Joker’s Fool is really the seventh book in the series of Satan’s Devils MC by Manda Mellett. This can be a standalone story but once you read this book you will go back and read books 1-6. Mellett has an interesting way to make all of hers interconnect and will even go over something that may have happened in one of the previous books without giving any detail away from the story. This story is definite page turner, once you start you really cannot stop. This book really talks about loyalty and trust. These two concepts are difficult because people break others loyalty and trust at a whim. The story of Joker and his horrific childhood. His story brought me to tears and a show him as a different light. Lady takes Joker and show him that there are people who will stand up for you. Will Joker learn that not everyone is out for you? Will Lady and Joker’s relationship survive?

The Sound of Love is the first book in the series by Maria Watts. Her characters are fully developed. There is a female main character Nina who we follow in her life choices the good and the bad. This story is a about Nina who is a Southampton’s girl. Her life was an easy line. She was a typical teenager who has a crush on a lead singer. Chris happens to be the lead singer that Nina has a crush on. At the concert she attended she got the phone number of the lead singer. They formed a relationship between phone calls and text messages. Relationships are hard enough for high school girls and now add long distance relationship to the mix. Will Nina and Chris ever become a couple? If they do become a relationship what will the tone be? It is a story of teen crushes, road trips, and hard life situations. I really like this coming of age book and I would recommend this book to everyone (especially if you have girls).

The Sound of Love (The Sound series Book 1) By Maria Watts. Just when you think having all your dreams come true would make life perfect, this story gives readers a look at the other side of that coin when reality hit. I really enjoyed this story even though it was a bit far fetched, but that’s the thing with fiction you can do whatever you’d like. But it’s not the idea of the story that’s hard to believe just a few of the things that happened. Most girls have a boy band favorite and dream about the day that they’ll come sweep us off our feet. But as Nina finds out in this book there’s always pros and cons to dreams becoming reality. We watch Nina and Chris grow in this story, at times I forgot I was reading and just wanted to smack them but over all I really liked the characters and the storyline. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or dragging. I read well into the night. If you’re looking for a teenager romance that’s a bit different pick this one up. I’m giving this book a four star review.

I am so happy to have finally read Joker and Lady’s story! This is an m/m book but its also so so much more. I was put through every emotion with this story.
Joker had a hard past with his family life and did all he could to “change” who he was on the outside at least. As we learn of his past and also what lands him and Lady at the mother chapters compound, we learn a lot of the past as we work our way to the present we were left with the last book, Rock Bottom. Lady helps Joker come to an acceptance of himself and work through past trauma so they can have a future. The emotions with Joker’s past about broke me and im so happy we got to go on this journey with these two. I cannot wait for more from this MC!

Manda Mellett has written one of the most heartbreaking romances I have read in a longtime. No worries it will have a beautiful ending. I love this series!!! Everyone of her books draws you in. I fell in love with this young man and his biker family. The struggle is real people! Joker and Lady’s story is one of my favorites. I can’t say enough about the writer and this series. I so hope more will follow. Thank You Manda Mellett for opening my eyes on such a sensitive matter. More people need to read Jokers Fool!!!

This was a gripping and sweet second chance romance novel from Michelle Sullivan. I have read some of her other novels before but this one stands out as my favorite so far. I recommend grabbing your favorite cup of coffee or tea, eh maybe a glass of wine, and curling up with this little gem. If you are anything like me you will want to read this in one fell swoop.
Karalyn and Dez, I adored these two, these two were not hard to fall in love with. I wasn’t so sure at first, things seemed a bit too perfect. Then the perfect balance of realism hit them and they were forced to face it. Spending seventeen years a part may very well make the idea of seeking any kind relationship, friend or more, terrifying all together. When they are thrust back into each other’s lives though they are forced to face it. What will happen when all of the past comes rushing back? Will it destroy any shot at a second chance for them? Or can they find the will to push through all the feelings and hurt to have that future together they always dreamed of?

This was not my first Satan’s Devils MC novel from Manda Mellett, but I would have to say this is by far my favorite yet! If you haven’t read all of the previous ones available that is not an issue, this can be read as a standalone. Mellett does a wonderful job of tying in enough of the previous story lines where it is needed that you are not lost. I would recommend going back and reading the others though because they are all good novels and do build up as they go.
Joker’s Fool really brings the emotions to surface. Be prepared to feel just about all of them as you read the journey that Joker and Lady have taken to get to where they are and then as they figure out where they will fall into place in the future. I also want to throw in a quick disclaimer of sorts here. Please don’t pass on this book because it is categorized into the M/M romance category, especially if you have read the other books in the series. This book is so much more than what you would expect to be getting. I have put this on my top five, hit me in all the feels, and tear-inducing reads of 2018.
Joker’s journey is no joke. Pun intended. His past ripped my heart out as I read it. I wanted to reach through the kindle and embrace him, heal all his broken pieces. I was grateful when there were finally those hints of light glimmering though in his future. What his struggle did do for me as a reader though, was make him realistic and connectable. Mellett wrote him and his emotions with a tangibility that I couldn’t get enough of. Lady was an equally connectable character. He is that once in a lifetime kind of love we all search for, exactly what Joker so desperately needed. These two may have been a wonderful thing eventually but the story isn’t in the happily ever after with this novel. It really lies in how they each got there. Both have to face some secrets, obstacles, fears, and so much more to get what they really want. The best things in life are never the easiest ones to obtain.

Jokers Fool by Amanda Mellett is a Satan’s Devils MC novel. Full of intrigue and tension and will be sure you draw you in. I’m not sure what I was expecting when I read this book but I hadn’t been expecting it to be about two male main characters. However I think, for me, that just made it so much better. I didn’t see it coming so when it did it sucked me straight in. I loved that both characters were flawed, t made them so perfect for each other. And I loved that the author didn’t just rely on it being a M/M story, that there actually a great storyline. I have read other books by Manda Mellett but I have to say this one is definitely my favourite so far.
Karalyn and Dez met as children, and started dating in Jr. High School. Karalyn was positive Dez was the man she would have babies and grow old with, even though she was 2 years older than him. Life intercepted her plans, and just before she graduated High School, her mom received a job offer and Karalyn needs to move away. At that point in time, the young lovers vow to find a way to make a long distance relationship work, however sometimes our plans fail. The day Karalyn moves is the last time she sees Dez … until 17 years later.
Our Next Chapter by Michelle Sullivan is a very sweet second chance novel. You will be shocked and angry. You will feel sympathetic and sad. You will say Awwww. And you will laugh. I found it to be a very quick read and give it 5 stars! Sullivan is a new to me author and I’m looking forward to exploring more novels by her.

Well this book didn’t leave me astonished or slack jawed. Well correction….it did just not for the normal reason. It did give me insight into some of the sick perverse thoughts that people have against a different sexual lifestyle. Jokers parents are horrible people! Normally I am not a fan of flashbacks. But in this story. I really felt they were warranted and helped me understand what Joker has had to deal with his entire life. His parents….Grrr!
I loved Jokers character. He was pretty complex and grew so much during the story. I was able to understand how Joker was having such a difficult time with his sexuality and always trying to be “normal”. Lady’s Man was the perfect complement to Joker’s character. Where Joker had fearfulness Lady’s Man was confident and calm. I think he scared Joker to pieces with his openness. He was such a help in all areas and I could see how Joker really needed him.
This briefly touches on the stories and characters from all the previous books. So if you have read them some of this will be old hat and you can focus on Joker’s story while reminiscing. I started a couple books ago so some stories were new. What surprised me the most was that Joker and Lady we’re together so long before anyone mentioned/noticed it. I remember the “church” meeting from previously and I thought they were newish characters just being introduced. But they have been background characters through all the stories. Such a neat idea to bring them forward!
Prez’s speech at the end (*sniff* ) just brought a smile to my face and happy tears to my eyes! I am so pleased with the ending of Joker’s story. No one deserves it more!
Another great story of the Devils. Manda Mellett did an amazing job of keeping me entertained as well as moving the story forward. I’m sure this type of story isn’t new but it’s still a story that needs to be told to remind us to not be so judgemental of different people, cultures and races.
