Infamy (Feisty Lawyers Book 2) By Seelie Kay. This book while on the shorter side still packed a punch. It’s a fast paced story with lots action and suspense going on but it’s not a rushed storyline, the author does a great job of balancing the short form of the story and all the things going on with the storyline. This book not only takes readers on a journey it also kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters all bring their own uniqueness to this great story. I do recommend reading these in order but if you don’t want to you don’t absolutely have to. It’s well written and hooked me completely from page one. If you like a short but intense story this is my recommendation. I’m giving this book a five star review.

Surviving Grace was an emotional 5 star read and book five in the Surviving Series. This is such a great must read series, I was sad to see it coming to an end.
I needed closure, somehow to erase the darkness from my past.
Grace is working on getting over her trauma, she is taking one day at a time. It’s not easy for her but she’s working on it. When things go in a different direction with Elijah, Will takes his chances with Grace. He has had feelings for her but was holding back how he felt, until now. I really liked Will he was so loving and understanding, he is perfect for Grace.
My emotions were all over the place with this book but I was so happy to see Grace get her HEA. There are some twist and turns, and some betrayal that adds a great element to the story. All of the secondary characters were great. Virginia Wine does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. Each book in the series can be read as a stand alone, but I suggest reading them in order.

What a book. I love single dad romances, along with friends to lovers and this was both. Lucas and Kate are close friends and when Lucas is in a custody battle , Kate steps in to do the unthinkable. As they set rules for this unexpected journey, they realize they’re guarding themselves but also secretly hoping to break every rule they make! I was hooked from page one,and while this is book 3 it read as a standalone. I only wish we got kate’s POV in some scenes.

Tales of the Dragonfly Book III: Extended Flight by Tamara Ferguson was a fast pace exciting read that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in that I was in for an exciting well written read. I was not disappointed. I was quickly captured and sucked into this story, the opening sets the stage for what’s to come, moving into Aaron’s narrative, and his panic inquiry about his sister further drives home that this story wasn’t going to be all roses.
This book is full of twist turns and rich detail. I loved Aaron as the main MC, he was a well rounded character and wasn’t overbearing or too, alpha. Not very often I like male MC, so for Aaron to steal all the glory, that’s a big thing, well for me anyways. I did like Kiley as well, but for me Aaron really stole the show.
Overall this book is worth your time and energy. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that this book will keep you flipping the pages, have you holding your breath and be frustrated as hell for Aaron.

Tales of the Dragonfly Book III: Extended Flight by Tamara Ferguson is another captivating contemporary romance and another wonderful addition to the other stories Tamara has given us. This could even be my favourite so far. With lots of danger and drama, mystery and suspense we see some of the wonderful characters, from the other series, from the wounded warriors and the Dragonfly Pointe and Crystal Rock. Tamara has a way of writing that never fails to captivate and enthrall me and I always know I am in safe hands whenever I read one of her stories. She likes to throw you off track by adding a little twists here and a little turn there, which keeps you guessing. Her main characters are always warm, caring and loving and the men will stop at nothing to ensure all is right with the world. In this journey we see Aaron a wounded warrior just returned discovers his is sister is missing. Whilst trying to finding out more, he accidentally saves a woman who is in danger. But who is the real danger, where is his sister and what did she get herself into. This awesome book is not one to be missed. I can’t wait for more to come.

Hard as Steel is the fourth book in the Surviving Series by Virginia Wine. The love and suspense start off at the beginning and don’t stop.
This was one of those books I had a very hard time putting down. I even laid in bed reading it with a migraine just to avoid putting it down.
I’ve had a crush on Steel since we first met him in the second book and the crush has grown to point that I might be in love. He is a take control guy who knows what he wants. Totally swoon worthy.
This was just a great story overall and I’m ready to read the fifth and I’m guessing final book. I really hope we get more of Will’s story and hope he ended up where he is now.

TALES OF THE DRAGONFLY BOOK III:Extended Flight is the 3rd in this spin off of the author’s previous series. These stories are all intersecting with the common thread of Crystal Rock and The Dragonfly Inn. Like going home again, we get to revisit past characters and learn more about others.
This is a story that is filled with suspense, twists, turns and misdirections along the way, romance and family. The story moves quickly, the characters are multi-dimensional and my opinion of a few of them changed as the story progressed.
I very much enjoy the way this writer spins a tale. From the very first line to the very last, I was held captive by the writing. At times I thought I knew EXACTLY what was going on and at other times I was scratching my head a bit. The plotting of the story is well done and has a very identifiable beginning, middle and end.
I absolutely recommend this story and anything this author writes. If you have the opportunity, I suggest reading all of the books in order. It’s fun to see where some of them are as the series progresses.

Luke (Dark Water Security Series Book 1) by Madison Quinn is a romance with some dark topics and suspense. The story follows Luke and Emily. Luke has a tragic past and the two work together. Can they keep their feelings to the side while working? I liked the concept and the overall story that was presented. There were some shortcomings in the story where I felt I was missing something or that a part had been skipped. Overall, I enjoyed the characters and story and will be coming back to read the next in the series. I hope that the series develops both in plot but in execution. This is a good read and I do recommend it if you like a suspense with romance. Be warned there are some sensitive subjects that are part of the story but they are not used gratuitously.

My first book by Taylor Sullivan couldn’t have had a better start! Eight Steps to Alpha is predictable in the way you would expect a friends to lovers story to be. However, the actual plot, turning a “nerd” into an “alpha” is something you don’t read about every day. I believe Elliot and most men have a little bit of nerd and a little bit of alpha already in them. Sullivan just had Fe show Elliot how he could be all that he was meant to be.
This story was easy and fun to read. I look forward to reading more from Sullivan.

Rules of Engagement by Mika Jolie is book three in the Platonically Complicated Series. This is a cute story with just the right mixture of romance, comedy and sex scenes. The story is told from Lucas’s point of view and you get a front row seat for everything that is going on with his nasty ex wife. I love the relationship between Kate and Lucas, the way they are as friends is fun and relaxed, they are comfortable with each other, they trust each other. Then you add in a small complication that is a blessing in disguise, as they figure out how to make things work, along with if they should act on their hidden desires. Can they take that next big leap? Or will everything end when their fake engagement does….

Surviving Grace: Book Five (Surviving Series) by Virginia Wine is another exciting book in this great series that I love and sadly the last. But we get to catch up with all the wonderful characters from the other four books in the series and you must read the others before reading this one. Especially book four as this is where we first get introduced to Grace. This story is well written and the characters are well developed and multi layered. It is an emotional read full of danger and intrigue, mystery and action, pain and suffering and most of all hot, sexy, alpha men who offer protection, love and friendship. Grace has been tortured and traumatised, and mentally abused. The pain of her past as destroyed who she is, her soul, her being but she now has people around her who are not only her friends but also will stop at nothing to protect her. She is learning that she is someone worth loving. She is someone worth knowing. She is someone who is just worth it. Now she has to learn to trust, to live again, to find herself, she must learn how to survive but betrayal runs deep. I am sorry to see the end of this series but also looking forward to what Virginia gives us next.

Rules of Engagement is a brilliant friends to lovers read that is fast paced and easy flowing and has you hooked. This is my second read from Mika Jolie and has proven again how great her writing is, it has given me even more reasons to read more of her books and what else is to come to this series. She has created a brilliant plot line that could really be a real and relatable thing. She has created lovable and relatable characters in Lucas & Kate. You will be captivated by this story from the start and you will be eagerly following our main characters Lucas and Kate’s journey. These two have a great connection and chemistry right from the start and it only continues to grow. This story has romance and some steamy scenes, there is plenty of bantering, back and forth and flirting between the two main characters. It was good just to see two genuine brilliant characters get a story worth reading.
I really enjoyed this book and was so glad I got the chance to delve into this author’s writing. I highly recommend this read, you will not want to miss it.

Movie Star is the second book in the 21st Century Courtesan by Pamela DuMond. I might have liked this a little better than Player. I mean who wouldn’t want to go to movie premieres and Hollywood parties with a sexy man candy. And don’t get me started on the steaminess that goes on in the bedroom. With everything Evie has going on with Jake, she still has a “Fan” lurking in the shadows. Pamela’s writing is unique and kept you guessing with the twists. Her secondary characters are enjoyable and I want more of them. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Infamy is the second book in Seelie Kay mind-blowing Feisty Lawyers’ series! I fell in love with her writing AND with the series when I read the first book of the series (Snatching Dianna) AND I hope that she will keep on adding to the series! I think you could read the story as a standalone as the story itself is not linked to what happened in the first book BUT as most of the main characters were the focal point of the first book then please do yourself a favour and start from the beginning! This second story – Infamy – is the story of terrorism, of intrigue, action, suspense, danger … it is also so complex that at times I felt that it was too short, though the writer was able to give us everything – from the beginning to the conclusion! The story will keep you at the edge of your seat and you will notice clenching your fists and you will need to wipe some sweat off your brow! Pick up both of the stories and let yourself be seduced by easy comradery, banter, friendship and love!

This is a suspense, thriller, mystery that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. I love that I was pulled into the story with ease and I had no problem reading this book in one sitting. Detective Gray is haunted by the abduction of his son. He responds to a suicide that reminds him of his son. When bodies start piling up, the only common thing is him. I felt compassion for him, he lost everything all he has is his job, love him. A must read!

For safety measures she follows Aaron to Michigan to search for his sister. Will they find out who is really trying to kill Kiley and will they find Aaron’s sister. Will the two be connected. I loved this book! This is a creative, engaging story that I couldn’t put down. I loved the characters and the journey they took me on. They are true to life and relatable. This is a story about Aaron who returns home to find his sister missing. When he helps out looking for her, he ends up saving Kiley from her father who is a crime boss. Things really start as they search for Aaron’s sister and find out who is behind wanting Kiley dead. Great characters! Worth picking up! A must read!

The reason why I read so much is because I love the feelings that I experience while doing so. I love chasing that emotion that will set me over the edge.
Let me just tell you that The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery did JUST THAT. I went in completely and utterly blind. I didn’t know what to expect. And I was not ready for what this book would do to me as an individual, reader, or even woman. It took me a minute to have to gather all of my emotions (which were scattered everywhere) and bottle them right up. But you know what, I’m okay with that. Because as an avid reader, it is exactly what I expect. I expect to bawl my eyes out, and let the snot run down my nose. I expect to get upset at either characters or their situations. I expect to get mad. I love those emotions,it is WHY I read.
I loved everything about this book. I am completely astounded by the author’s ability to create such a beautiful and believable world. I loved getting lost within the pages of this book. I don’t know how else to express all that this book made me FEEL without giving it away. Just know that it’s worth it! This will definitely be considered one of my all time favorite books.

Claimed Royalty is the first book in the Crowned and Claimed series by Betty Shreffler. This is a little different from the other books of hers that I have read. It is a really great romantic fantasy with some sci-fi elements woven through it. It made for a great change of ‘scenery’ and pace for me- throwing me into a wonderful ‘new’ world to explore- and introducing me to a brilliant cast of quirky characters. Ms. Shreffler once again proves what a great author she is, by transporting me into an exquisitely detailed world which she crafted so masterfully. She builds such incredible imagery- building beautiful landscapes and weaving vividly descriptive and intricately detailed scenes. From walking the palace halls and grounds , to the excitement and action of the ‘trials’, and even horse riding – were so vivid, that I really felt as if I were right there with Fiora and Matheas as their story played out. Everything came to life before my eyes- in a completely immersive and believable way! There are a lot of characters, lots of detail, and a lot going on- but everything is stitched together quite smoothly and seamlessly- and was very easy to read. This was such a wonderful, romantic, and sizzlingly hot read. I am never disappointed by anything Ms. Shreffler writes, as I am always completely captivated by her stories and unable to put them down. This story was a wonderful surprise, and while it was a little slow to get going, the pace soon picked up and I really enjoyed the ride!

Bound is the second book in the Torzial series by Via Mari. This series really captivated me, and I’ve loved every minute that I have spent between its pages. I really liked Ms. Mari’s Prestian series, so I knew I would like this series too, especially as it focuses on character/s that we met in the Prestian books- who now get their own books/series. But I can honestly say that this book (and the series as a whole) are now my favourite reads of Ms. Mari’s. They have eclipsed the Prestian series, in my eyes, and left me needing more of Ms. Mari’s work. This book picks up right where book one left off, so I really recommend reading that book first before starting on this one, so you are up to date with all the important factors and exciting developments- and are able to follow all the interconnected threads of the storyline. You don’t need to have read the Prestian books to enjoy this series, but as it has some shared/ recurring characters, as well as some timeline/storyline elements- I would advise you to- as it will definitely enhance your reading pleasure. As with the first book, this is a romantic suspense that’s full of action, danger, secrets, hidden agendas, humour, mystery, lots more sexual exploration & awakening, some light bondage, spanking, red hot sizzling scenes, mafia, and lots of intrigue. There is a lot happening in the story, but Ms. Mari choreographs the whole thing seemingly effortlessly, keeping me enthralled- and in anticipation. Ms. Mari really seems to have hit her stride with these books, and is totally comfortable and at ease with her craft- which really shows in this really well written and captivating book! After the intense developments in the last book, we find things are only intensifying for Jenny and Brain. She has become the primary suspect in the murder of her ex, and as if that weren’t enough for anyone to have to contend with, the mafia has put a target on her back. Jenny is still trying to come to terms with her own horrific ordeal- and Brian has had a lot to do with her being able to piece herself back together again. Brian wants her to trust him to protect her and relinquish ‘control’ to him- as he’s determined to do whatever it takes to protect her. But as more and more ‘evidence’ begins to mount, will he start to lose faith in her? Will these doubts drive them apart? Could she ever really trust him with her heart? I really love these two, they are such fantastic characters- superbly crafted, with fully developed and complex personalities. I was completely immersed in their story, emotionally invested in them and their ‘lives’- strung out on all the detail, reading anxiously to discover what happens to them. This is primarily a suspense- with a great erotic romance woven through it. I love how Via Mari is able to build such intense tension, chemistry, and intrigue- but manages to balance it all with lots of emotion, and a little humour. The story does continue into the next book, but as you may have guessed by now, I didn’t take a break between books, and read the entire series back to back! I can’t wait to see what she does next!

Extended Flight is the third book in the Tales of the Dragonfly Series by Tamara Ferguson. It is a contemporary romance, with a wounded warrior element to the storyline. There is plenty of drama, danger, suspense, mystery, and of course a wonderful romance to be found within these pages. Ms. Ferguson is one of my ‘one-click- no questions asked’ authors, as I know that she will always deliver a story that will both move me and entertain me. They are stories that I can lose myself in (in a very good way)- losing track of time and space- as her story holds me in its embrace. I have read most of Ms. Ferguson’s books now and have always enjoyed the experience. But this book seemed to hold me a little tighter, becoming one of my all-time favourites of hers, so far! It was everything I have come to expect from Ms. Ferguson, and yet it somehow managed to creep under my skin a little further than the others. It’s a captivating installment in the series, that takes us back to Crystal Rock/Dragonfly Pointe. Each time I open one of Ms. Ferguson’s books it’s like going on a wonderful journey- and I never really know what to expect, because she really has a knack for adding surprising developments and little twists, which keep me guessing! Ms. Ferguson has a talent for writing stories that entice you further and further into the book, and before you know it you’ve come to the end of a fantastic experience…. so I wonder what she has in store for us next? I can’t wait!

Caught In Make Believe (The Caught Series Book 3) by Sharleen Scott 4 Stars!!!!
This is the third book in the series and I wasn’t disappointed. I found this author to have such a refreshing writing style. I was drawn in and hooked from page one. I just couldn’t put this book down.
The way that Jace’s past seems to always be there adds to the appeal and draw of this book. I found myself really routing for Jace and Samantha. I found that the author was able to add just enough drama and action to keep my full attention and keep me glued to the book. I also found the way that both Jace and Samantha have a past and both were really just what each other needed. I really look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This book is just as good if not better than the previous books. One of my favorite things that an author does with a series is when we get to see what happens to characters from previous books which is what this author has done in this one. In this book we get to see Grace’s story. Grace is trying to move forward from her tragic past but what will happen when her past comes to her present? She is a strong, determined character, she is my favorite. I highly recommend this book.

An Improper Encounter by Erica Taylor is the third book in the Macalisters series. This book can easily be read as a stand-alone although the whole series is well worth reading. This book has to be my favourite so far. I loved the scandal of the book, the secrets and the almost forbidden nature of it. I felt utterly drawn to these two characters and got lost in their journey so easily. Erica Taylor has done a great job on this series so far and I cannot wait to see what else might be to come.

WTF, God? is an inspirational memoir by Michelle N. Onuorah. In it, she explores her experiences as a young adult and the ways in which her faith guided her through decisions and changes. The writing style is informal and passionate. Onuorah makes frequent reference back to the Bible, with references given for follow up. The book is more or less chronological, but also structured by the key lessons she has learnt through her experiences, and wishes to convey to the reader. The word that keeps coming to mind when I think about this book is generous. In sharing her experiences, Onuorah is offering her reader hope and guidance. The tone is positive and optimistic, even when she is talking about struggles with mental health and rejection. I would recommend this book to anyone, particularly young adults, who are struggling to find direction in their life. Throughout the book, Onuorah focuses on her faith and how her strong relationship with God helped her to make sense of her life and accept the things which she cannot control. Reading about the setbacks and delays she experienced inspires patience and hope. For me, this is a five star book. It’s encouraged me to think, and comforted me. I’m glad I read it!

Nothing But Trouble is book one in the Irresistible Billionaires series by Ashley Bostock. I adore a good billionaire romance and I can say this author produces some of the most memorable ones. The story just flowed along, with many bumpy sections, many glorious sections, many tense sections, and endless feelings of love, even when the chips were down.
Sophia is a character I admire. She did what she had to do. She loves with her whole being, and isn’t afraid to get dirty while doing what she needs to do. She didn’t have a lot of choices, but she accepted her lot in life, got on with it, and dreamed for the future. No way did she accept that she didn’t have option. She just had to bide her time. Her heart was huge, and she just would not cave and wallow. She would rise and be who she wanted one day.
Michael was a mega rich man who had it all. Even things he didn’t want. Like shallow people trying to gain a free ride. He just wanted to find the “one”. When he was burnt too many times, he decided to take what he needed and leave the emotional stuff to others. Not his angle, anymore. When he meets Sophia, he is a little blindsided. From her looks, her manner, her gentleness, and her innocence. Funny events occurred, and before he knew it, he had a fiancee!! Getting to know these two getting to know each other was enlightening and sweet. But secrets are revealed and their foundation shaken to the core.
Nothing But Trouble was a complete and dramatic romance. It had so much, and the author delicately unveiled each snippet so achingly alluring, I was hanging off every word. So addictive. So tantalizing. Reading this story was unforgettable enjoyment. 5 stars.

This book has a little bit of everything in it from paranormal to vampires to romance. The author’s attention to details made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. Annie is my favorite. She is a little weak but on the other hand she is strong too. She doesn’t like how Thayer can make her feel powerless but on the other hand he makes her feel. Will they find their HEA even though they are fighting on opposite sides of the war? I highly recommend this book.

This is a suspense, romantic, mystery that is engaging and creative. Mallory is an FBI agent who has tailored her career around her sister being abducted and now she is on an undercover mission to track down a vigilant. Then you have Alex whose job it is to take out any serial killers and the like. He questions his life when he is sent to look after her. They are great characters that make this story for me plus wait to you see their chemistry! I highly recommend this book, worth picking up.

The story Tales of the Dragonfly Book III: Extended Flight by Tamara Ferguson is a wonderful book that I loved reading. The story includes romance and some suspenseful mystery. It is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had read the final page. The story had me believing in the power of true love. I loved reading about the characters of Aaron Davidson and Kiley Carlton. Aaron is a man who has returned home from Afghanistan only to find that his sister is missing. He is determined to find out what has happened to her. Kiley is a young woman who is beautiful, brave, stubborn, and fierce. The daughter of a mob boss she keeps herself isolated. Aaron saves Kiley from an attempt on her life. There is an instant attraction between them. He finds himself distracted and protective of her. You can feel the emotions and romance that begins between Aaron and Kiley and while it starts fast there is no doubt that it grows stronger. Kiley accompanies Aaron to Crystal Rock. Will they find out who is trying to kill Kiley? Will they find Aaron’s sister? What does the future hold for Kiley and Aaron? Read this book to find out. The suspense in the story had me at times turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. I was on the edge of my seat. There are other times when you felt the love and magic that surrounds Aaron and Kiley. They are two characters that you can’t help but grow to care about and hope for their happiness. I also enjoyed reading about many of the other characters and the part that they play in the story. There is such a strong feeling of family and friendship that is wonderful to read about. There are scenes that had me smiling and others that warmed my heart. Don’t miss out on reading this amazing story. I highly recommend it.
