The Woman America Loves a Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord was an engaging, hooking read, that had me flipping the pages.
Not my first read from this author, I was excited to read this book, and boy oh boy I was not disappointed. Engaging, pulling, and multi layered this book had me reading into the night.
This book has a bit of everything, second chances, and picking up the pieces and tendrils of darkness from the MC’s pass, makes this book a compelling, intriguing read. I love the mistaken identity plot set up, it was a lucky break for our MC, that was down on her luck and looking for a way out. Especially after that asshat of a fiancé, pulls that crap he did, good riddens.
Overall this book pulls you in, not only with the easy writing and smooth transitions. It somehow connects with you, and you feel it on an emotional level. The attention to detail pulls this story together and binds all the elements into something masterful. This book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster #2) by Kelly Mooney was a pretty great read that will pull at those heart strings.
Not my first read from this author or in this series, but though this book is part of a series it reads as a standalone. So no worries if you haven’t read the first book.
This book is a fun read thats both witty and bouncy, as well as emotional and heart melty. The only thing that I didn’t quite like, is a common theme I see with these types of books. The male MC calling female MC, innocent and what not. It’s a pet-peeve of mine, and I don’t find it endearing or a complement to call a grown woman innocent. I don’t want to get into it, cause I’ll be here all day, but in the long run, you can make a character complex and multi layer without adding words like innocent, only to find out..”they aren’t so.” you know, sexy wise.
Other than that, I very much enjoyed this story. I loved how it wasn’t just about the romance, and that Eli was there for his family. That added extra layer that made this story more than your normal mushy romance. It added a complexity to the overall plot and storyline. Eli was an outstanding character and he really stole the show. I honestly think that the author did an amazing job on Eli, and though I did like Remy, and she was also a great character, Eli just, glowed, and was a powerhouse.
Overall this story is a must read, and it gets my super high recommendation and my stamp go approval.

Operation Boyfriend by Molly Zenk is a young adult romance. What does a young lady do who has been burned by love? She meets not only one but two young men who could capture her heart. Corin is one who captures her heart and Daniel who captures her head. Which should Glynnis choose? This is a sweet romance that reminds us that love in youth is complicated. I like the characters and the story is relatable. I was hoping that Glynnis would choose the best young man for her and have her happily ever after. I enjoyed the story and the characters and hope to read more from this author in the future.
Holy wowzers! This was such an epic ending to a fantastic series that has been one ride I have truly enjoyed. I would definitely read all of these books in order from the very start or you will not truly be able to enjoy or understand quite the magnificence of the the characters or the story tat Sheena Hutchinson has woven within the Seraphina Series.
Seraphina has truly peaked in Seraphina’s Revolution! Her powers coming to fruition fully and her finally having the grasp on them that she feels comfortable with. Her weaknesses in this novel that she struggles within her own self, making the journey that much more personal for the reader. And holy Pete that epic, yes I said epic again, battle scene holy cow I will admit to rereading it because I needed to reabsorb the feels it gave me instantaneously. Wonderful novel! I absolutely can’t wait to find out what we will see next from Sheena Hutchinson!

Hell on Heels by Lynne Russell is the first book in the PJ Santini series. I wasn’t sure what to think about PJ at first but as I got further into the book I liked her even when she was doing something stupid even if it was to help solve the case.
The case she worked was quite intriguing, I’m usually pretty good at figuring these things out pretty early, but that wasn’t the case this time around which impressed me since it doesn’t happen often.
There are so many things outside of the main story that I liked. PJ’s family and her best friend Vicky had me chuckling every time. The men in her life, only thing I can say about Daly and Renza is how can I find two hot men like the. to be in my life?
This is my introduction to this author and I’m looking forward to reading more by Ms. Russell especially the next book in this series. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Turning the Tide (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 5) By Phoebe Alexander
Turning the Tide is book five in the Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe Alexander. Each of the books in this series can be read as a standalone quite easily. First up please note that this book may contain a trigger effect for some people as it does discuss emotional and verbal abuse so read with care. Secondly this book does have cheating involved. What we need to remember the cheating husband is not real so stress less, and no I do not condone cheating in the real world. This book is most probably my favourite purely because it was good to read a story on older people and by older, I mean people around my age lol. So anyway, Turning the Tide is focussed on Luke and Connie. I have had to reword this review three times. In the end I must admit I ended up reading a few reviews by other people, I must say I was shocked to read some thought that Luke was a weak. I do question that as do we think a woman is weak in the same situation?
I really like Luke’s character, he has remained faithful to an abusive wife, done everything for her and for what? All the while this poor man is depressed and feels like he is stuck where he is. Enter Cap (from book 1), convinces Luke to co me to his club for a look.
Connie moved to Ocean City to be closer to her sister Casey who had a battle with breast cancer. Connie to me was an awesome one therefore I enjoyed reading about her. Connie is by no means in to the lifestyle of the club. She does however like to hang out at the club and is made to feel part of the crew.
When Connie and Luke meet the connection between them is instant, it is something that has Luke thinking how much happier he could be. But yes of course there is a but, Barbara is causing trouble so could this be too much for Luke and Connie to handle? Will Connie and Luke get their HEA, you will need to read the book and find out. Oh this book…oh this author…every time Marie Skye puts words on paper my heart bursts! Every book, while each story is different, has the same underlying WOW!
This story seems to be a love triangle with the hint of a love threesome. But then there’s the danger of Olivia’s birth father and the sneakiness of Jaxon AND Damien. I really don’t know which one I am cheering for…oh wait yes, I do. It’s Olivia!
I love the title of this book because I had to say it plenty of times while reading it… “don’t let me” throw my kindle, “don’t let me” wake my sleeping family from my yelling, “don’t let me” message this author what I am feeling right now!
And I love reading books. I love reading series. I even like reading books with cliff hangers but when I don’t even see the cliff coming!! O.M.G. way to go Marie Skye! Way. To. Go. Definitely looking forward to book 2.

Take a ride with the spokesperson for Caprice Cappuccino, Veloura Merkowerowitz, aka Vienna Merriweather, aka The Woman America Loves a Latte as she travels cross country. In this novel by author Holly Tierney Bedord our leading lady Veloura is on the run from a fiancé who wants her gone, a stalker who wants her hurt and a man who wants her, period. When I first started this story, I thought to myself, what the heck is going on? But the more I read the more I was drawn in. I felt sorry for Veloura, a girl who couldn’t find her happiness. Abandoned at a young age she longs for family and love and ends up just getting more loneliness. I got a good chuckle over Thunder and Ricky Dwayne and their big “plans” and a little creeped out over Eugene. This was a quick paced story and you can’t help cheering on Veloura until the bitter end.

A great read about proof. Evie Jones is happy living her life as a vampire trying to keep out of trouble. But trouble finds her in Ryan. Ryan is trying to support his friend Jim who has been accused of murdering his wife. In a bid to prove his innocence, Ryan and Evie enact their own investigation. But as events unravel, can they get justice for Jim. A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. The use of suspense was well written drawn out to perfection to keep you reading to find out what happened. I felt this was a more realistic crime than the one in the last novel as this crime does occur in everyday life. Well developed characters like Evie as pragmatic but kind underneath or Ryan determined to help his friend but caring underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the vulnerable Jim or the fun friend Catherine. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like in the restaurant and the nightclub for the sense of the everyday contrasting with the magical creaturses for a captivating read. A great example of building upon the original with different fantasy creatures like vampires , pixies and werewolves.This expansion added a sense of magic and flair to the novel. This combination of fantasy creatures and realism of police and crime made for a compelling read. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

The Woman America Loves a Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord is my first read from this author. The Woman America Loves a Latte is a book about a young lady named Veloura or Vee as her friends call her is involved with a older guy named Thunder. Thunder is not a nice guy at all but Vee is young and I believe even a little naïve or maybe blind with the fact of the way she is being treated but she also didn’t have a good up bring. Vee leaves you wondering what she is thinking and is a very interesting person. I really enjoy reading about Vee she is one of my favorite people to read about. In this story you will experience all sorts of emotions. This book is what I felt a short read I flew through this book it had me engrossed in its story I always wanted to know what was going to happen next . This story is the prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte but can really be read after wards as well. This story is more about Veloura’s parents which in turn gives us more insight into how she becomes the way she is. I would have preferred to read this one first.
The character of Veloura is a very young child throughout most of this story. She faces terrible neglect from her parents due to their lack of communication with each other and their own selfishness. Their actions make understanding Vee so much easier. I can see why at age 20 in the next book she still seemed a little dippy.
Vee’s parents, Marla and Paul are an interesting set of people. Marla’s “problems” could easily be labeled as drug addiction, but that is only the beginning of her problems. While the dad, Paul seems to want a perfect family with no effort from himself.
Tierney-Bedord creates these characters that we can relate to, even hate a little, but ones we can understand. We may even know people like this in real life.
Reading Tierney-Bedord’s books always makes me want to read the next one so there’s no doubt that I will be looking forward to the next one!

This is a creative, well written and engaging YA book. This is about a group of kids that have been friends all their lives. They all have superpowers and go through normal things kids their age do despite their special abilities. I enjoyed each of these characters. They bring the story to life and they really are who make the story. Their story is a journey of friendships, family, and consequences. I recommend this book for middle schoolers or anyone who enjoys reading YA books.
This is a new age story that is creative and engaging. I enjoyed how this story was able to pull me in right from the beginning. I found that I was easily able to connect and relate with the characters. This is a story about a young woman who feels that she will never find the right boyfriend. But then she meets Daniel and she meets Corin. She finds herself with options but which one will her heart chose and will she agree? I highly recommend reading this book to find out.
I loved this book! Rand and Clara’s story is well written and engaging. They are connectable, true to life and made the story come alive for me. They crossed each other’s paths growing up only to cross their paths once more when Clara went on vacation to Bali. What will fate have in mind for these two? What will happen when their two world collide? I found myself hoping they would get their HEA, they have such great chemistry together. One of my favorite by this author yet, a must read.
After Hurricane Nina: Rand’s Resolution by Tamara Ferguson is part of the great Hot Hunks Steamy Romance Collection. This series consisted of 8 stand-alone novels by eight different authors. All of them can be read on their own by honestly, given the talent involved in this series, I’m not sure why you would want to!! I knew from the moment I saw this author names that t would be a good book and as usual she did not let me down. The book was so easy to read because the author has created such great, loveable characters. I really enjoy books that involved two people meeting years later and rediscovering things about each other. This book was engaging and at times intriguing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Flirty Dancing (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by J.D. Frettier 5 Stars!!!!!
This is the third book in her Series and I can I just say I wasn’t disappointed. I really like how the book seems to keep the flow of the series. I really felt the emotions that Kitty was going through. When your time is up your time is up but she definitely was gone too soon. I really like how the author ties different prospects of the afterlife and gives the slight comedy twist as well as keeping the romance in it.
I found that the author really has a refreshing way to put the humor into the story and brings the characters to life or should I say the afterlife. The way that the author entwines the characters in the afterlife with the living characters really adds to the story. Kitty brings the little bit of spark to the Greenroom and really brings a nice twist to the Three ladies already there.I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series in the future.

This book was a fast read for me but really good. The two main characters are David “Daisy” and Alicia. The accidentally meet at a conference in Las Vegas. Alicia was there as a keynote speaker and Daisy was there to attend the conference as a restaurant owner. Daisy and Alicia literally run into each other at the airport then Daisy saves her poolside from an aggressive stranger. Deciding to have a few drinks and go out for the evening to thank Daisy. The next morning both wake up with extreme hangovers and no memory of the previous night, but do discover quickly they are married. Trying to undo what they have done is not as easy as they thought and their attraction to each other is off the charts. Daisy is struggling after losing his first wife and daughter in a house robbery years ago and Alicia isn’t sure what to do about Daisy. This was a great book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Gamble On A Cowboy consists of two short romance stories featuring Las Vegas and Cowboys. The lead female in each story is very independent, confident, and driven. The lead males were both attractive and focused. Each character was dedicated and passionate about their career choices and I loved that they meshed easily with each of the ladies careers. The storyline of each was easy to follow and difficult to put down. I found it easy to get carried away and mixed up in the drama and romance. This compilation was such a fun read and I definitely recommend it.

The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is a story about a young lady who had a rough time in life. This theme is a sensitive theme for people. I tried to keep a open mind while reading about Alabama. Ms. Beau did a great job. Her characters are well defined as well as complex. There were several roller coaster rides but they were all worth it. Alabama’s story is one of a mother who really should not have had a child. Her mother was sent into rehab and Alabama want to live with her mother’s best friend from high school. That is where one says was the pivot point in Alabama’s life. She went to a house with two males and the rest is history. The journey of love can take several roads to get to the end to see who you are going to be with in life. Will Alabama find love or will she fail? Will she end up with Joshua or Hunter or someone totally different? You will have to read this story to find out the conclusion for Alabama’s story.

Run To The Sea is the first book in K.G. Fletcher’s Reigning Hearts series. Having discovered K.G. Fletcher last year with the fantastic Southern Promises series, she has rapidly risen up my favourite author’s list so I was so excited that she was releasing a new novel. This book did not disappoint in the slightest. I LOVED it. Run To The Sea is a beautiful second chance romance that will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. The 2 main characters Emeline (Emmy) and Thomas (Cappy) are wonderful, I totally fell in love with both of them. Cappy and Emmy were inseparable, best friends growing up, who then lost touch when Cappy moved away for college. The death of his beloved Grandfather has Cappy returning home to sort out his estate. Coming back home and seeing Emmy again makes Cappy evaluate his life and realise how much he hates his job and his life now. He’s so much happier and relaxed now and being with Emmy feels like where he belongs. Cappy and Emmy’s story is beautiful and full of emotion. It also has a few twists and turns that you just don’t see coming. If 2 people are ever meant to be together then it’s Emmy and Cappy. This is definitely one of those books that I will read again. Well worth it’s 5 star rating!

This is the first book I’ve read in this series and I was able to follow the threads with no problem. There were always prompts so I knew what was coming… “Will I need any special information on the children coming in?” Obviously there are secondary characters who have had their story told so it’s assumed we know what the setting is all about.
Told in a dual point of view, this story was easy to read and held my attention from the beginning. For some reason, I gave the lead male looks and a voice that sounds a lot like Sam Elliott from Roadhouse days. His name is Wolf and even though the title clearly states that it’s “The Fairy Tale Series” for some reason I never grabbed onto Red Riding Hood. I think I was just reading along and not comparing it to what it was interpreted from.
The kids in this story are sweet and adorable and the friend Abby – well everyone needs (I do, I hope you do also) to have an “Abby” in their life. What a great character she is.
I did enjoy the way the story was written. It is appropriately detailed, the story flows well (although at times I had to figure out who was speaking and look back at the heading) and it made me smile as often as it made me tear up a little bit. I think it was a good balance of emotions.
I would recommend this story and I will be adding the first two to my TBR list.

This is a story about four best friends (Avery, Parker, DeShawn and Ethan) who all happen to have psychic powers. All are products of a fertility drug given to their mothers. Each developed different abilities, all of which are very cool. This book is from Parker’s point of view, she is an empath.
She’s popular and has won the pageant twice and is head of the dance committee. To everyone else, she has it all but being in eighth grade and feeling everyone’s emotions is hard. Teens are constantly on an emotional roller coaster and she rides along with them. So she figured out “shortcuts” to make everyone around her happy. If they are happy, she’s happy. Only the people closest to her know the pain that she carries.
When a new girl arrives at school, Parker feels so much pain within her. She decides to use all her shortcuts to help her. Unfortunately for Parker, her abilities start to go haywire and serious problems arise.
This is the perfect novel for young readers to show them that there are no shortcuts in life. It will show them that the times of sorrow and grief are experiences for them to grow and learn; to be able to be stronger. I really enjoyed this book and hope there will be more. Perhaps give each friend a story of their own.

Flesh and Bone by Nesa Miller is the third book in the Blood of Kaos Series. I didn’t know that I was grabbing the third book but I highly enjoyed the story. I recommend grabbing the other books first because I know there is some big information in the preceding books. This has so much going on action, suspense, and a fantastical world. The characters are great and all played different parts in the story. I really liked the suspense and how it kept me reading more. I am definitely going to go back and read the other books to get the rest of the story.

The story Shortcuts (Singularities) by Amy Bearce is a wonderful fantasy book that I enjoyed reading. It is a story that drew me in and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. I enjoyed reading about Parker Mills. She is a young girl who is a secret empath. She is someone who wants others to be happy and does all that she can to make that happen. Parker meets Mia who has a mysterious past and has emotions that include pain and sadness. Parker finds herself stepping thing up when her normal abilities to make Mia happy fall short. Things don’t exactly go as planned. What will happen when Parker’s powers go haywire? Read this story to find out. I also enjoyed reading about the character of Josh. He is caring and is interested in Mia. The story at times had me wondering what was going to happen next. Parker is such a strong and stubborn young girl who has a high energy level that shows throughout the entire story. There are other characters that are introduced who I enjoyed reading about the part that they play in the story and their interactions with Parker. This is a story that has a wonderful storyline as well as wonderful character. It is one that will keep your interest the entire times reading. Recommended reading.

Rand’s Resolution by Tamara Ferguson is part of the After Hurricane Nina Series: (Hot Hunks- Steamy Romance collection). It is a fantastic contemporary romance, with plenty of action, adventure, drama, danger, secrets, intrigue, terrorists, suspense, tension, chemistry, spice, and wonderful characters. As I have said before, Ms. Ferguson is one of my ‘one-click- no questions asked’ authors- as I know that she will always deliver a story that will captivate and entertain me. They are stories that I can lose myself in (in a very good way)- becoming part of the story as everything unfolds around me- and this story was no exception. This became quite an intriguing and suspenseful read, and as the story progressed, I found myself reading as fast as I could, completely under her spell, flipping the pages to discover what would happen next. Rand and Ciara have a history, meeting on the beach as teenagers (he was 15 and she was 13). Now, 13 years later they will run into each other again on Bali. He’s got a reputation of being a player and living quite the luxurious lifestyle after inheriting some money. She’s an Air Force Lieutenant holidaying on the Island with her friends. There is recognition, and chemistry- and soon sparks begin to ignite. But we soon learn that not everything is as it seems and there is much more going on than first appears. Danger threatens, and lives are put on the line. And so comes Rand’s Resolution. This is a very quick and easy read, with a great pace and a smooth flow. I devoured it in less than two hours. I love Ms. Ferguson’s attention to detail and all the interconnected elements she adds to her stories. While some aspects of her stories can be a little predictable, such as a guaranteed wonderful romance and engrossing, well written story- but then she always adds little twists or surprises that add an unpredictability and keep me guessing. This book is part of a series- a collaboration by eight talented authors who each contributed an original, standalone story about a life changing moment which leads to a resolution that ultimately leads to love. I enjoyed this book so much, of course I wouldn’t expect anything less from Ms. Ferguson- but the premise behind this collection really intrigued me into wanting to discover what the other stories contained, too- so I went on a one-click frenzy and brought them all to explore asap. Looking forward to whatever Ms. Ferguson does next.
Operation Boyfriend by Molly Zenk is a new adult romance story with a little drama, some angst, emotion, hidden agendas, revelations, danger, revenge, friendship, humour, surprising developments, and a love triangle. I initially thought the story was going to be a little predictable, but Ms. Zenk added a twist that definitely gave some excitement to the story. This is also my first read by Ms. Zenk. Glynnis hasn’t had much luck when it came to her love life. Her long-term boyfriend leaves her- for another GUY! And when she finally decides to get back out there, she has one disastrous date after another. We follow along as Glynnis traverses college life, social media, and dating. She meets Corin, and then Daniel is added to the mix. One is quirky, goofy, and awkward- while the other is suave, confident, and successful. Glynnis has a dilemma, head vs heart. What will she decide? But not everything is as it appears… The story contains some humour and emotion which help to give the story balance. But there was also a lot of texting/social media posts/and blogging scenes- but I’m not sure that there needed to be quite so much of it as I felt that it interrupted the flow of the story at times. If you like angst, new adult romance, realistic and believable young adult characters, and a twist to your storyline- then this is the story for you!

The story Operation Boyfriend by Molly Zenk is a new adult/romance book. It is a story that drew me in from the beginning and I found myself not able to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the main female character and Corin. She is a young woman who has not been lucky with relationships. Even though he is the opposite from what she should want she finds herself drawn to him. There is an attraction and spark between them. Corin is a young man who doesn’t have a lot of experience in relationships. He finds himself pulled towards a young woman. What does the future hold for both Corin and the main female character? There is also Daniel that comes into the picture. He seems to be the one that everyone believes she should be with. Will she choose the one with her head or her heart? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about the main female character and Corin with each chapter that I read. I was rooting for them to find happiness. The other characters that are introduced in the story are interesting and intriguing. They all have their own part to play in the story. I enjoyed reading about the bantering that goes back and forth between the characters which at times had me with a smile on my face or laughing out loud. This is a book that was enjoyable to read and one that I would recommend.

The story After Hurricane Nina, Rand’s Resolution (Hot Hunks-Steamy Romance Collection) by Tamara Ferguson is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Ciara and Rand. They face a tropical storm and in the midst of that a terrorist bombing plot is exposed. There is an attraction between them that can’t be denied. He wants a future with her. He finds himself on an ISIS hit list. What does the future hold for Ciara and Rand? Read this book to find out. I grew to care about Ciara and Rand with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. There are moments that I wondered what was going to happen next. There are other times when you can feel the romance between Rand and Ciara. There are additional characters that are introduced and I enjoyed reading about them and the interactions they have with Rand and Ciara. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that has amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.
The Woman America Loves a Latte is an interesting look into how things are interrelated without our even knowing it. When Vee makes a decision to try to escape her life, we as readers are taken on a journey to watch the effects of that decision and how it affects not only her but those around her. I thought this was an interesting story with characters that made me want to know more about them. I thought it was original and entertaining. This is not the first book I have read by this author and I guarantee it won’t be the last.
