Price of a Rose: a Beauty and Beast tale (Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings Book 2) by Byrd Nash – Review by Emma Clawson
Price of a Rose: A Beauty & Beast Tale by Byrd Nash
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The author brings strong characters and does a beautiful job painting her scenes perfectly. Price of a Rose, the second book in the Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings series. Lily is the oldest and who has had the responsibility of running the household at a very young age since the passing of their mother. Rose is the middle daughter, who is a bit of a rebel dabbling in gardening, which is considered “man’s work”. Then there’s Poppy who is a book worm with a passion for magic. Byrd Nash has an uncanny way of writing, old-style with a fresh, new outlook.
