Unlikely to Fit (Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood – Review by Karyn Taylor

Unlikely to Fit (A Parker Lake Novel Book 2)Unlikely to Fit by Olivia Sherwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the series and I was looking forward to reading it as I really enjoyed reading Annie and Wyatt’s story in the first book.
In the book we get Breckin and Griffin’s story. Breckin is one of the group of female friends from the first book and Griffin is Wyatt’s friend. I remember loving the closeness and camaraderie of the group of friends and this is just as evident in this book. It’s lucky that Breckin has such a good support network as her husband left her for one of the cheerleaders at the school they both teach at, as soon as she had graduated. Griffin still hasn’t come to terms with the loss of his girlfriend in a motorcycle accident. Needless to say both are pretty broken and definitely not looking for love. Although they do say that love sometimes sneaks up on you when you least expect it.
I absolutely loved reading Breckin and Griffin’s story. Both are fantastic characters that I loved reading. However, I must say that for me the star of the show definitely has to be Meemaw, Griffin’s 90 year old grandmother. She had me in fits of laughter throughout although I must add that the part of the story set at Thanksgiving has to be my favourite part of this book. It is hilarious. I won’t give any spoilers but I guarantee plenty of laughs.
