Unlikely to Stay (Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood – Review by Karyn Taylor

Unlikely to Stay (A Parker Lake Novel Book 3)Unlikely to Stay by Ashlie Knapp
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third book in this great series which I have loved reading. I had loved reading the first two books about this group of friends and was so looking forward to CC getting her own book. It was definitely worth the wait as I adored CC and Brant’s story.
I totally love the dynamic between the group of friends, Annie, Breckin and CC. the camaraderie that have with each other, how they can insult each other and not bat an eyelid. I’d love to be part of a friendship group like this.
I totally adored Brant and seeing his relationship with CC evolve as she realises that he’s not too good for her, she’s worth more than she things she is. Brant is the local nurse practitioner and this role brings so much hilarity as it brings out the older generation that have given us so much fun in previous books. The return of Griffin’s ‘meemaw’ and her motley crue of octogenerians visiting Brant with their ailments brings so much fun and hilarity to this book. I’m left with some images that make me want to scrub my mind with a strong disinfectant.
I had thought that this would be the end of this series as all three girls now had their own story but I’m so glad to see that this series is going to continue. I can’t wait to read the next instalment.
