The Lie That Binds by Amy Argent – Review by Charlisa Wahtomy-Alba

The Lie That BindsThe Lie That Binds by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great book! This is hands down one of the best books I have read this year. The story itself was believable, especially when it came to showing the bullying being done by the popular clique. Nathan has a big secret that he doesn’t want to get out. Nobody in school knows, except for Holly. She only found out by accident and he will do anything to make sure she keeps her mouth shut. How far will he go? Holly has been crushing on Nathan since the first day she saw him in her new school. She wanted to believe that he was one of the jerks after an incident involving her friend, but the more they spend time together the more she sees that he is a good person. When he asks her out she thinks he’s kidding. Why would he want to date her? When feelings get involved and the secret is being threatened, how far is too far in keeping it? Secrets don’t stay hidden for long.
