Leaving No Traces (A Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome) by P.J. Mann – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez
Leaving No Traces by P. J. Mann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Leaving No Traces was a pretty complex crime story. There was a lot going on and it took a while for the detectives to uncover everything. This was a good thing for the readers, because the mystery and “who dun it” kept us engaged. There were a lot of characters but they were fairly easy to keep straight, as everyone was referred to by their last name. The book is part of a series (book 5 in fact), but it did not feel lacking by not reading previous books. I like that we got to see a little into Scala’s personal life, to round out his character. Esposito is hilarious and I think would be a good main characters as well. I will be looking into the rest of the series.
