A Tale of Two Crushes by Cori Cooper – Review by Barbara Bohls
A Tale of Two Crushes by Cori Cooper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was really well written and so descriptive to where the characters feel like my besties and the whole thing was being acted out in front of me. Being able to just lose yourself in the book but not feel like you are reading more like watching a movie unfold, is amazing. I wasn’t able to put the book down because I had to see how things went and what happened next. There are points where it is almost like watching a tennis match, where your head whips from each side of the court, because you are caught up in who will the leading female choose. Each of the crushes have amazing qualities but you also get to see a little ugly because let’s face it, when it comes to a little competition, there is always some ugly. It is in those ugly moments where you feel for the characters and the book becomes more real to the reader. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I would highly suggest this book to anyone looking to be entertained and have an escape for a little bit, this is where they should go. I can’t wait to read more from this author because if they are anything like this book, I won’t be disappointed.
