I loved this book! This is a story about a woman is running out of time to have a baby. She is willing to do what it takes to have one even if it means a one night stand. What happens when an unforgettable meeting of a man changes things for her? These two characters are connectable and lovable. Their chemistry together is off the charts plus they had me on an emotional roller coaster ride. This book kept me reading until the last page, I couldn’t put it down. A must read!

The story Gun by Lee Hayton is a thrilling book that I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a book that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It had me quickly turning pages. The day starts out like any other. People get up, go to work, school, wherever they are to be. Then the gunshots ring out and nothing is ever the same. This book tells the story of a group of survivors that find each other and band together. I enjoyed how the story told each person’s actions on the morning it all started and before they all met. Will this band of survivors find a safe place to stay? It is rumored that a neurological virus started the chaos. Is the virus all they have to fear? Read this book to find out. This story does a wonderful job in making you feel the emotions of the characters and how hard some of the choices that they must make really are. My emotions went up and down with theirs and I found myself asking “What would I do if in the same situation?” The book is detailed and I found myself feeling like I was right there with the characters. These survivors begin to realize what they must do to stay alive. Will they be able to make the hard choices they are faced with? There are also additional characters that you read about. It is interesting to read of their part in the story and also when some of them interact with the main characters. Full of suspenseful and chilling moments this is a book that I would recommend reading.

Ok so I’ll start with I am not a sci fi fan, so much so that I am probably one of very few that have to this day never seen even 1 star wars movie…but in saying that I am a huge pet fan, I have many of my own which is what drew me to this collection.
I have read stories by a couple of the authors involved in this collection and they are among some of my favorites what I really loved was finding some new authors to look into as the writing styles throughout were all amazing
This was actually fun to read and definitely outside of my normal choices and if your into the scifi you will love it. I found that I would have given both 4 and 5 stars throughout and although this did not change my mind about the genre i am very glad I gave it a chance because as I said the writing styles alone made it worth it.
Many thanks to all of the authors for making me actually enjoy something I don’t normally read.

Calling the Curveball by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is the first book in The Lawson Family series. This is a second chance romance and I absolutely enjoyed this book!!
Kira and Jamie’s story is such an emotional story. The characters are written so well that they are easily relatable and you can feel the connection they share with each other. Kira and Jamie have both experienced pain in the past and they have to evaluate whether or not they can let those go and experience the attraction between them. I enjoyed following their story and witness them work through their issues to attempt to give each other a chance.
The book flowed very well and I didn’t want to put it down. This is the first book I’ve read by the author and it definitely won’t be the last!

Embrace The Passion is the third Pets in Space book. It is an anthology of science fiction romances, all featuring animals of some description, sold in support of an animal charity. There are 11 stories, each by a different author, and the stories are all very different and enjoyable. The first story I read was Quashi. I was drawn to it as the cute fluffy aliens sounded a bit like tribbles. It turns out they aren’t exactly tribbles, but are similarly cute and disastrous! I liked the main character, Chanda, who is quite funny and relatable as she struggles to make the best out of a situation where she is hopelessly out of her depth! Operation Ark is another great one, particularly if you’re after an array of different space animals! The animals do all seem to resemble Earth animals – they’re mostly introduced as “like x only bigger/a different colour”. But they have a lot of character and it’s an entertaining story! Like Quashi, there’s a mysterious creature no one knows much about that is developed over the course of the story. I liked the space port setting in Starway and the way that Star, the sniffer dog, is introduced to the story. With lots of space politics and covert operations, it’s a gripping story with complex characters! The stories are varied, but have in common exciting extra-terrestrial settings, animals with strong and loveable personalities and three-dimensional protagonists. For me, this is a overall a four star book. I’d recommend it to sci-fi fans who love animals and want to try out lots of different authors!

The story Plague Pit by Marc Alexander is a wonderful mystery/suspense book. It is a story that I enjoyed reading. It had me hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. It is a book that gave me chills down my back and has plenty of thrilling moments. It all begins with the collapse of brickwork that should have been left alone. What happens next will bring chaos, terror, and fear. Through it all Charity, a local radio station presenter and Paul, a scientist, try their best to warn the public of the outbreak and find a cure. I enjoyed reading about Charity and Paul. Charity is a woman who is strong and independent. She is one that speaks her mind and doesn’t shy away from making waves. Paul is a man who was has a history with Charity, however, is finding himself agreeing to help her when she asks. He is passionate about his work and will defend what he does. Does the government have the right to keep the whole truth from the public? Will Charity and Paul be able to help find a cure for the plague? How many will die? Read this book to find out. This story had me turning pages and on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It has some good background information on the plague that ravaged in the past and left so many dead in its wake. Filled with heart-pounding moments this is a wonderfully written story that I would recommend reading.

Calling The Curveball: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. This is the first book in a series and I can’t wait to read the others. Its the story of Jamie Lawson a coming up baseball player who has his sights set on the professional level until a tragic accident takes that all away. Blaming himself he moves to a smaller town and tries to forget his past and it works until he meets Kira Walker who is in town visiting her sister trying to recoup from a ugly divorce. This is a story of letting go of the past and moving onto the future of forgetting old dreams and creating new dreams. A sweet and sad story that will keep your attention even after you are finished with the book.

Calling the Curveball was more emotional than I was expecting. In a good way. Jamie has a lot to work through from his past still, luckily Kira is very patient and mature about it all. I love small town love stories and hope the next books have the same sort of feel to them. You know, where everyone knows your business and you have family and friends all over who are close knit. Anyways, these two take things very slow but there are strong feelings there and a good story. I look forward to book 2.

Ring Tru ( Thick As Thieves Book 1) by Janice M. Whiteaker. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be my last. It was a short read but I could not put it down. Its the story of Tru who is pulled into the life of thievery by her ex husband. She wants out of this life but has one more job to do. Will shows back up just in time to destroy all Tru’s plans. He broke both their hearts last time trying to protect Tru will he do it again. He feels guilt and shame for dragging her into this life so he wants to make it right no matter the cost. 5 Star Nathaniel (Dragon Hearts 1) By Carole Mortimer is a fantasy, paranormal, romance book that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. It sucked me in from the beginning till the end .This is my first book by this Author but I’m definitely going to read check out the other books this author has written. Holy Cow ! Chloe and Nathaniel definitely have chemistry, these two are hot and steamy together .Find out what happens when Chloe finds more than just a castle on vacation. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait until the next one. @ddaugh35

Jamie was on track to make it in the Major League until he lost his wife and and career chance in an accident. What else can he do except head home to Minnesota. Now his life consists of being an umpire and working in his chiropractic clinic…… Kira needs a getaway…. after an extremely ugly divorce, she head to spend the summer with her sister, what could possibly happen?? Then she see the sexy umpire and does something crazy and asks him out. The chemistry between these two is pretty much automatic. I absolutely loved the way they meshed together. I can not wait to read more from this author.

Calling the Curveball by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is a love story built from the tragic circumstances but will Jamie be able to put his hurt aside to find love again.

Jamie decides to go back to Minnesota and start a fresh. So Jamie then set ups his new business and tries to just survive each day. Until one day while umpiring a little league a beautiful stranger approaches him and asks him out on a date.
Kiera has gone through a horrific divorce and is now reassessing her life being newly single again. When visiting her sister to re-evaluate her life she comes across a sexy umpire who she seriously has the hots for. She surprises herself asking this handsome guy out but even shocked when he says yes.
I loved this story and the dynamic between these two characters, the chemistry was great. This story follows the ups and down of tragedy, lost and just your life being upside down. The story had great pace and flowed really well. The characters were great and well developed. This is the first book I have read by this author and would love to read more in the future.

This romantic suspense had me on the edge of my seat for most of the story. Just couldn’t put it down. Martha Sweeney does an amazing job setting the stage and developing these characters. A fantastic story from first page to last, I am so thankful that the story will continue. I cannot wait to read this story again and read the next book in the series. So good!
Yaaahhhoooo! This is book one of a series! I love strong female and male characters. I love when two strong characters fight the pull they feel. I love when two strong characters take an adventure and prove just how strong they really are. I love it even more when those two strong characters finally realize they are meant to be together.
This story is about Shannon (something about that name!!) who is smart and attractive. Who also happens to be very attracted to her boss, John. John is part of the team that runs the Lost ’N’ Found Investigative Service where many vets turn to after serving their time in the military. Many are wounded and are just trying to survive civilian life. Shannon is being targeted. But now she has the protection she didn’t have before, John. I loved how these two characters, along with their friends, work together.
I thought I had read other books by Madden but after looking at my TBR list I have found a couple of her books waiting for me! I can’t wait to see if those are just as good as this one!
An Agreement is the third book in Summers in New York series by Lindsay Marie Miller. It is a sweet, sexy, contemporary romance, that has a heart-warming, romantic and captivating storyline. This book can be read as a standalone, but as there are inter-connected characters and details, so I really recommend reading the other two books before starting on this one, to get all the backstory and character information, which will give you a better understanding of this book. Bailey Lewis is Benjamin and Claire’s daughter (Claire and Benjamin had their story back in Book #1). She’s a twenty-five year old romantic who dreams of being swept off her feet by her knight in shining armour- of having her own fairytale romance with a happily ever after. Problem is she hasn’t had much luck when it comes to meeting the right man. Plus, she’s spent a great deal of time building her fashion business, right from the ground up. Her little boutique is finally doing really well, and she finally feels like she’s proven herself business wise…. But she wants more. Her brothers talk her into online dating, something she has avoided up until now. But desperate times and all that. So, she sets off on her first ‘date’ only to end up at the wrong persons table. This innocent mix-up is where this story really gets interesting, and introduces her to Carter Boudreaux…. What happens, you ask? All the delightful details can be found when you read this great story for yourself…. I really have enjoyed this series, and this book is no exception. I can always count on Ms. Miller’s imaginative and unique storylines to captivate and entertain me, she is definitely on my must read list. I am looking forward to her next book.

Isabella’s Painting is the first book in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series by Ellen Butler. This is an excellent mystery- with danger, intrigue, action, suspense, humour, drama, the mafia, FBI, and a priceless stolen painting. Even though the story itself is fiction, it is based on a real- life robbery that happened back in 1990- which baffled investigators, and still remains unsolved all these years later. The author has done an amazing job of tying her story together with the actual events, blending the two together quite brilliantly. Karina Cardinal is a lawyer turned lobbyist in Washington D.C. She’s smart, independent and hard-working. She’s doing well, with a good career and a great boyfriend. Even though she and Patrick haven’t been together all that long, things are getting serious between them and everything seems to be pointing to them taking the next step. But, when the two attend a Christmas party at Patrick’s parents place, Karina inadvertently sees something she wasn’t meant to- a painting which was stolen nearly three decades earlier and was part of a much bigger heist. Karina can’t believe her eyes and proceeds to do some investigating. What she uncovers places her in quite a predicament- not only jeopardising her job, her relationship, and her morals- but also her life. When an old college friend, now FBI Agent, joins the mix, things get really interesting…. This is a fantastic story, that had me totally engrossed from beginning to end. It has a fast pace, a smooth flow and was really easy to read. The characters are really well crafted into fully realised individuals. There must have been an incredible amount of research that went into the planning of this book, because there are so many elements woven into this story, small inter-connected details which gives the whole thing authenticity- and making it entirely believability, and also quite memorable. This book has a complex, and multi-layered storyline which is brought to life by the vividly descriptive story-telling, and by Ms. Butler’s meticulous attention to detail/s. She has woven a very polished mystery , full of surprises which kept me guessing the whole way through. I can’t wait to dive into “Fatal Legislation” (Book #2), due for release in December 2018.

Must Be Crazy is the 3rd instalment of the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland, following on from Must Love Fashion and Must Have Faith. Each book can be read as a standalone or as a series. If read as a series then you’ll need to read them in order to prevent spoilers. I had read and loved the first two books and this one was just as fantastic, if not more. By the end of Must Have Faith readers were crying out for Skye and Edward to have their own story and thankfully Deborah Garland fulfilled this need. Skye Mallory is a successful lawyer with her own practice in Darling Cove. She’s always had her eye on handsome volunteer fire chief and architect Edward Mendelsohn. Meanwhile Edward has been fantasizing about Skye for a long time. When a fire at Skye’s home brings them together the sparks fly and they admit their feelings to one another. They are both smitten and are ready to embark on a serious relationship when they are torn apart by the fact that Skye’s biggest client is suing Edward, which is a major conflict of interests, resulting in Skye ending their budding relationship. Degrees of Control by Via Mari a four-star read you will want to control. This is the third book in the Prestian Series and I would definitely recommend you read them in order to get the whole story, if you started with this one you wouldn’t go back as the main character Katarina grows on you during the first two books and in this one you would just hate her if you didn’t know the background, I did and I still had moments with her. Chase is someone many will love, and overall I did, I just had moments with him too, there are some heavy sexy scenes in this series and they really do have a place and depth to them that pulls the story together. The suspense and drama in this read are great and will keep you hooked all the way through.

Another awesome part of this series…Im so anxious to get to where we meet Aless in the 1st book of Brothers of Camelot I cant hardly stand it. Aless is totally awesome and I have fallen in love with so many people in these books and just seeing how all of this plays out is like nothing I’ve ever read…I normally don’t like prequels after the fact but this has been done brilliantly in my opinion by this author.
Not going to go into much detail because I don’t want to spoil anything from the 1st in this series so will just say that Aless’s journey from 6 years old on is although not an easy one all the time it’s definitely never boring and she has the same desires and goals throughout both books and watching all of this unfold has had me all kinds of messed up, but I love the buildup that this author is writing…I love that someone who was only in a few pages in the first book is so very important in Aless’s story…
Im left with What is going to happen??? These characters I love so much, how are they going to play in to all of this…the tie in to the first in the Brothers of Camelot is so spot on, I’m just so excited to finish this story but I don’t want it to end either. Like I said this author has me all kinds of messed up.. LOL
I can’t recommend this enough but do it in order…You really do want to read the 1st book of Brothers of Camelot before you jump into the My life prequels.

I think it’s safe to say that we all must be crazy or have felt crazy at some point in our lives. Skye was searching for approval and I think it drove her crazy. This story has an interesting set of characters. The family dynamics is what had me going. For the father to put so much pressure on the children. Skye was really uptight. The author had a different style than I am used too. I liked how the words flowed together to make it a smooth read. Overall I mostly enjoyed Edward and Skye. They struggled and came together to make something beautiful. They both had insecurities that they couldn’t voice. But they didn’t let that change their relationship mostly.

Chloe is a journalist that has come upon a story about a castle. The locals are tight-lipped about it however she gets some information and she visits the area surrounding the castle to investigate. It is there that she meets Nathaniel. Chloe is a beautiful, strong, and independent woman. She has a determination that is strong once she gets the scent of a story. Chloe doesn’t understand why Nathaniel affects her the way that he does. There is an intense and instant attraction between these two. Nathaniel is equally affected by Chloe. These two can’t stop thinking about each other and their desire for each other is undeniable. Will Chloe discover the mystery behind the castle and of the handsome Nathaniel? Will they act on their attraction to each other? Read this book to find out. This story does have some steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to love Chloe and Nathaniel’s characters with each chapter that I read. I enjoyed the background information that is given. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced. This is a wonderfully written story. Highly recommended to read.
EMBRACE THE PASSION PETS IN SPACE 3 An Anthology Four Stars
This is what I enjoy about reading. So many different writers coming together to create something unique. It shows that no matter the genre we all can come together and make something lasting and beautiful. All the stories were well written some stood out more than others but that’s to be expected. I really enjoyed Star Cruise Mystery Dancer. The characters had fun yet serious personalities. Tassia has a bond with dancing that we all wish we had. I love music so of course this one hit closer to my emotions. There is something so beautiful about a person when they express with dance. I also enjoyed Hunter of the Tide. That story was something I would read if politics got to me. You have to learn to just accept people for who they are and not judge them based on a few. Overall every story had you wanting more. I always find that I have a soft spot for military romances. Thankfully this book did not disappoint. From the first page to the last, the author held my attention with her great characters and plot development. Everything felt authentic and realistic. These characters felt like people I already knew. This was a wonderful book and I am looking forward to reading more in this series and from this author.

Ring Tru (Thick as Thieves book 1) Janice M. Whiteaker 4 out of 5 stars
Ring Tru is the first book in Janice M. Whiteaker’s Thick as Thieves series and my first experience with this author’s writing in general. I felt like Ring Tru was slow to take off but when it did I felt like the twists, turns and pace of the storyline really were perfect for the rest of the book. This turned out to be the type of story you don’t want to set down until it’s completely finished. The synopsis and gorgeous cover work for this book roped me in pretty quickly. I’ve read suspenseful second chance romance novels before but something about this one felt like it would be different and I honestly felt that it was. I am not necessarily a fan of second chance romance but I do love stories with danger and suspense mixed so this really hit the mark. I can’t recall reading any books with a female thief as the main character, so really Ring Tru was a refreshing, unique read. I thought the push and pull between Tru and Will was very intriguing and felt both were really strong characters. Overall I thought that Ring Tru was a great introduction to the Thick as Thieves series and I will definitely be following along with the other books. I would even be interested in exploring more of Janice M. Whiteaker’s writing outside of this series.

Sailors Knot was a great 5 star read and book four in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. This can be read as a stand alone.

All I can say is wow! There are so many levels of emotion and life experiences that had me all over the place. You get pulled right in from the beginning with a very hot and steamy moment between Casey and Gabriel. Gabriel encouraged Casey to find a third and that is when she met Joshua and brought him home. We jump from past to present as Casey thinks about things from the past.
Never be ashamed of a scar. It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.
Casey is currently dealing with some life issues and enjoys a visit from her besties among several other things. There is so much more that goes on but I don’t want to give anything away. It was really great seeing the secondary characters and how they were doing. Casey is a very strong person and seeing her story past and present really tugs at your heartstrings. When there is an unexpected reconnection can there be a HEA? Phoebe Alexander has done an excellent job with this story, if you like hot and steamy scenes and great characters, 1-click and get started today on this great read.

Degrees of Control The Prestian Series Book 3 by Via Mari Four Stars I dislike wishie washy people. One minute they’re with you and the next their morals have kicked in. Katrina knew what kind of man Chase is but she is getting on her high horse when he takes care of business. Chase is really controlling . His need to know where, when, who and how would drive anyone crazy. I have enjoyed this authors writing style so far and will definitely be continuing this series. If I was to have one change it would be the past of the story. Everything happens fast and then boom on to the next. Overall it is a thrilling book full of action. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

Nathaniel (Dragon Hearts 1) By Carole Mortimer. This book was great to get lost in. This is a new to me author and I’ll definitely be looking for more. I sometimes have a hard time getting into fantasy/paranormal stories unless I’m really in the mood but I didn’t have any trouble sinking into Nathaniel and Chloe’s journey. I each character has this amazing way of capturing your attention and you just have to know where this story goes. It’s well written and paced nicely. Some steamy parts that had me turning on my fan. With wonderful characters and a great storyline how could you go wrong? I’m excited to read more from this author. Giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it.

I like that once again I have found a new author to read. I found that the authors writing style was quite refreshing. I really liked the fact that nothing was really straight forward and that gave this book a real sense of realism. Life isn’t predictable and neither should a book be. I was hooked right to the end.
The combination of Jamie and Kira is just sensational. I really liked the fact that both had pasts and that both had to heal. This story really shows that everyone deserves that special someone. I really like how the author brought the couple together and how everything works out in the end. It really shows that even in real life we all have our dreams and desires and how when we find the right person everything can fall into place even if we have our doubts we should never give up on our dreams.I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

My Tragic Life by Necie Navone is book 2 of My Life series. This is a five star novel. I love the way the author is able to really get us into the life of an Italian mobster. In the first book, we meet the Family and the Capo. Then we follow Alessandra growing up until she is about fifteen. The second book picks up here and has us even deeper into the life of the Capo and how he treats his family, especially his daughter. She continues to be trained by Uncle Louie and is able to show off her training by beating the boys in her shooting. Now she will star going to family meetings and learn more about what will be required of her when she becomes the Capo. Little does everyone know, she is trying to figure out a plan to escape to America. After her visit there for her birthday, she knows she needs to get out of the life and find true love for herself.
